From now on one of the things I'm curious about the most is what Lens will do next season. I mean especially in the Champions League.  Smiley  Because Lens appeared in the Champions League only twice in their history - one was in 1990s and the other one was in 2000s. It has been a long time so we can call them inexperienced there.

They need to keep their most valuable players in the team above all else. Fofana and Openda are the names who are really important to the team now. Openda's 21-goal contribution was a big factor helping them reach the Champions League group stage. Moreover they had better reinforce the weakest areas with the right transfers to be ready.

Then maybe they can do something worth watching there and they can even keep being consistent in the Ligue 1 also.

Sometimes I wonder if we will ever see a time in which Korean teams stop dominating League of Legends tournaments. Because for long years this hasn't changed even a bit. Actually not only Korean teams, Chinese teams have also improved themselves a lot. The last MSI tournament was a perfect example for the thing I'm saying.

We saw only Korean and Chinese teams in final rounds of the tournament. EU and NA teams still don't learn their lesson from this at all. They can only beat each other but there is no such thing nearly all the time when it comes to doing the same to Asian teams. I see a big lack of discipline and strategies in EU and NA teams as a result.

Pochettino is going to start his job at Chelsea by the 1st of July. Chelsea should be entering a completely new period from now on. We shouldn't be seeing anything left from Potter's time because it was just horrible. Potter wasn't a manager who had experience with a top team before so it was some risk to take for Boehly.

The results of this risk were really heavy for the team as they couldn't even finish the season in top 10. Of course not all the time this kind of managers fail. For example Nagelsmann did a really great work with Bayern Munich in his first times. But here it was the right call to sack Potter after all that poor effort during the season.

Verstappen's race was nearly perfect. He got 3 warnings for track limits at turn 10 and was warned by his team to be more careful. But he still asked for what the fastest lap was and just went for it. Even if he failed and got a 5-second penalty nothing would have changed for him. Because the gap with Hamilton was such a huge one that even getting this penalty 4 times would have kept him ahead.

Poor Leclerc! His team don't even listen to him about the tyre choice for his next pit. He underlined the soft tyres and Xavi confirmed him. But in pit Xavi said that they were going to change to hard ones instead. Leclerc has had this kind of awkward strategy mistakes because of bad team calls. Someone should stop this nonsense or Ferrari will cost their drivers to have another season full of simple mistakes.

the 23-yo german international Kai Havertz is according to several media, also according to the spanish 'marca', on the list of the royals for the successor of Karim Benzema. KH, who has numerous rivals in the blues' bloated squad, could be back in the champions league with real madrid next season.

Yeah I have seen it on Transfermarkt already. But I don't understand how Real Madrid can go for Havertz while there are much bigger names. Benzema's place can't be filled with him strongly I'm afraid. Havertz is a good talent but not as good as Benzema. He is still 23 years old though but I don't know if he is worth taking the risk.

Because Real Madrid want to build a solid squad for the future. Instead of doing it with him they can look for much more talented names who are younger than Benzema. If they are looking for promising names then Osimhen should be their number one target. Maybe he would cost them really much but I think he is worth being brought anyway.

Or they can just look for experienced names and Kane comes to my mind first about that. After Tottenham's having a poor season Kane might seriously think of leaving. Maybe it isn't easy to convince him to leave England but they can give it a try anyway. Kane had an incredible season you know and he would complete Real Madrid amazingly.

Mehmet Şimşek'in kendi politikalarını uygulamasına izin verilirse politika faizinin artırılmaya başlanması bekleniyor.

Lacazette's performance until now has been incredibly good. He just brought back his old times immediately after leaving Arsenal and returning to Lyon. He had his best years with Lyon in the first place in the past obviously. But I still had doubts about him whether he would be able to perform that good again after this returnal. He made my doubts go away in a very short time after coming here.  Smiley

He has scored 27 goals in the Ligue 1 until now which is only 1 goal less from Mbappe. Considering Lacazette is 32 years old this is an amazing effort for him. He has given his best for the team throughout the season but Lyon still can't qualify for any European competition now. I liken Lacazette's situation with Lyon to the one Kane has with Tottenham now.  Sad
1108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Nations League final four ⚽ on: June 02, 2023, 05:08:19 PM
Yes most of top countries in this league see this as a chance to prepare for much bigger tournaments like Euro and World Cup. However actually this isn't that much of an unimportant tournament. If I'm not mistaken the winner of the Nations League will have a quota in the qualifying stage of 2026 World Cup.

My source for this information: https://en.as.com/soccer/what-does-the-winner-of-the-nations-league-final-four-get-and-what-is-the-prize-n/

If this is true then this should actually be some extra motivation for the teams in the semi finals here now. In addition to that there is some prize money for teams competing in the group stage but the biggest prize is for the winner which is around 10.5 million euros according to the source. But of course it must still not be feeling like the Champions League for example which pays a lot of money to the teams even for participating in the group stage.
1109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: June 02, 2023, 04:57:13 PM
It doesn't look like Juventus have a big chance to capture a spot in the Europa League. I mean we need to see surprising results in the Atalanta - Monza and Roma - Spezia matches on the last week of the season. Monza technically don't have any goal to achieve at this point. Therefore Atalanta should be able to beat them without big problems.

When it comes to Spezia they have a goal to achieve now. They have the same points with Verona at the moment. Head-to-head statistics is the thing keeps Spezia ahead of them now. Otherwise it would be the opposite as Verona's goal average is better. Roma can come across a really tough opponent in this match as a result. Maybe they might even lose points.

Therefore I think the only chance for Juventus is this. They need to defeat Udinese on one hand though but I don't think they would fail in doing it.
1110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: June 02, 2023, 04:21:10 PM
This title is such an important one for especially Sevilla manager Mendilibar. Because the guy had zero titles with any team in his manager career until this season. This was mostly due to managing below average teams in Spain though. I don't think he would have had a chance like this if Sevilla didn't do this bad in the La Liga this season. And he used this chance in a great way as it can be clearly seen.

Now he might have a bigger chance to manage some other decent teams in case of leaving Sevilla.

Sevilla are like a Europa League title magnet though. No matter who manages them Sevilla still find a way to become very successful in this tournament. It is like they won the half of the tournaments in last 10 years. This was crucial for them to join back the Champions League also of course. Because even though they got away from the relegation field they couldn't get that close to top 4.

Messi'nin bence ilk tercihi kesinlikle Barcelona olacaktır.

Hugo Lloris is speculated to return to Nice after 15 years. But he doesn't say anything such as he is leaving surely. However I think he will leave the team in case Tottenham is able to find a replacement for him. Lloris' departure has been on the news for a long time in fact. But they were still just speculations until we hear about it from himself.

He is 36 years old now and his backup goalkeeper is Forster who is also 35. I think Tottenham can sign a younger and good performing goalkeeper instead of Lloris from now on. 36 isn't the oldest age for a goalkeeper maybe but he isn't the old Lloris anymore surely.

Maybe Emiliano Martinez can be a candidate for them although he has a contract running until 2027.
1113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: June 01, 2023, 08:38:43 PM
Roma coach José Mourinho may not have had his players practice penalties before the final match, which is why Roma failed so badly in penalties. Our regional tournaments are also full of competitive penalties but we didn't see anything like that from Roma against Sevilla. It is a normal rule that one team will win the game and one team will lose but what Roma did in the UEL final match was really unexpected for us. Roma have been great on the field but such a poor performance from them in the penalty shootout has really disappointed many fans. The outcome of this match could have been a little different.

I don't think so. I think a manager like Mourinho would never overlook the possibility of this final match to end by penalties. Because his strategy in this kind of matches is mostly defending rather than attacking. He doesn't want to take big risks unless there is a big need. He must have practiced some penalties also with his players because of that.

But the inevitable fact is that nothing can be certain for you no matter how hard you work on something. Basically Roma players weren't having a good day for penalties. Actually the missed penalties weren't weak ones but the goalkeeper Bono was just impressive with his prediction and saving skills.

Mourinho's series of not losing in the finales is gone now.
1114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 01, 2023, 08:29:55 PM
Arsenal is not a competitive team, they are just business club, for the past year none of their players has won any award in the league, they are found of buying average players every season and they expect to win a trophy, it does not work  like that, any team that want to be champion must buy and spend more money on high profile players.  look at Manchester city and Liverpool for the past years they have spent so much for players and had won trophies too, Arsenal are not winning because they don't have good players to challenge for trophy.

If they want to compete they must have to spend more this season to bring in big players.

Until this season yeah, they really haven't been a competitive team for the league title. But in this season they surprised us all. Because we have known them in the recent years by making a good run for a while but starting to mess it up after a point. This time they kept being concentrated for a long time period which even helped them stay in the title competition.

But the messing it up thing happened again for them on the last weeks of the season as they lost many points. Maybe this caused them to lose their title chance but finishing at the 2nd position is still incredible. Maybe this is the start of some really good things for Arsenal. They are back in the Champions League after a long while. There is no way they aren't strengthening the squad more now in my opinion.
1115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: June 01, 2023, 07:59:05 PM
How can he say that he deserves another season there? I mean this isn't a successful season for them unfortunately. They won only the Ligue 1 title and they even had to wait until the last weeks to declare their championship. Winning this title is a piece of cake for PSG you know. The board must be like "Of course you will win that title as it is easy to achieve for us.".  Grin

The Champions League performance was a disaster if you ask me. The main issues surfaced more in the matchup versus Bayern Munich. Despite not having one of their best seasons Bayern Munich still didn't have serious difficulties in eliminating PSG. Therefore you can't praise yourself after making your fans watch this football.

Galtier can't be trusted for another season and he should get sacked immediately to make the right choice this time.

"Christophe Galtier insists he deserves a second season at Paris Saint-Germain amid exit rumours."

I agree exactly with you. Losing against a Bayern squad that was having problems shouldn't happen how it happened. This doesn't mean PSG should have won, but they played two weak games against Bayern and they have met a couple of times now and yet didn't have a plan. That is Galtier's problem as well. He has to have a game plan.

But who could replace them? The big names out there won't like very much to go to PSG.

That is a good question to ask. It is really a difficult task to find the right coach for a team like PSG. They haven't had very good experiences in the recent times. Galtier just made things even worse for the team. Right now in theory Zidane looks like the best candidate for the job. However the most difficult work is to convince him to sign for them.

Because I remember one time he said that he didn't have any interest in managing a team except national teams. But maybe he can change his mind after a long wait without an offer from a national team that he would like to manage. He was after France job the last time but it doesn't look like France thinks of replacing Deschamps yet.
1116  Local / Konu Dışı / Re: UEFA Avrupa Ligi Ana Başlık on: June 01, 2023, 07:51:50 PM

1117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 31, 2023, 08:17:34 PM
Apart from Chelsea, I'm curious about what Tottenham are planning to do before next season also. Because this season was a huge mess for them I'm afraid. They couldn't join any European tournament by finishing at the 8th position. Their start to the season was a really promising one actually. But it looks like it was too early to be confident about anything about them.

Tottenham still managed to surprise their fans somehow. Maybe not in a positive way but a negative one. Whenever you think about how worse they can get they are ready to do worse. Kane made an amazing effort throughout the season by scoring 30 goals in the league. But he was like the only player who was under the spotlight at Tottenham.  Sad

Now if they lose him to some other team this summer too then I can't imagine their emerging issues with scoring goals this time.
1118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: May 31, 2023, 08:09:49 PM
Dybala is a really special player and he proved it once again. Even though he had an injury and missed many matches recently it still didn't affect him negatively here. He doesn't care about being less fit than the other players. His clinical finish there can bring the Europa League championship to Roma. But as nothing has ended Mourinho wouldn't let his players become complacent even for a second.

He is an adamant manager in this kind of situations. I think in the second half we will watch an a little different Roma. The Mourinho I know would make his players park the bus or play according to a similar strategy. Because as of now they don't need to do anything different than maintaining the current advantage. Sevilla is the side that needs to take bigger risks now.

By the way Rakitic's shot was such an impressive one. It would have been a more impressive goal if the ball didn't come back from the post.
1119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: May 31, 2023, 07:38:40 PM
According to some information I've heard Al Ittihad have made an official offer for Benzema already. Real Madrid are waiting on Benzema to make his final decision soon. His contract is expiring in a month and it doesn't look like we will see a contract renewal either. I have no doubt that Al Ittihad offered a huge sum of money to Benzema.

Truthfully I don't think Benzema has any target left to achieve in Europe. Because he won Ballon d'Or last season with an incredible performance. In this season he did his best to contribute well to his team also. But I don't think he should be given a place in the starting lineup anymore. It is time to give chances to younger talented strikers.

Instead of Kane and Firmino I think Real Madrid should prioritize signing a deal with Osimhen. Because he is much younger than the other alternatives and he is already playing like an experienced striker.
1120  Local / Konu Dışı / Re: UEFA Avrupa Ligi Ana Başlık on: May 31, 2023, 07:24:58 PM
