11081  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So Apple is letting Bitcoin back in. on: August 07, 2014, 05:03:52 PM
Maybe they realized that Bitcoin users who are serious about carrying cryptocurrencies around on a tablet were going to switch to Android. The Blockchain app is back in their store. http://www.wired.com/2014/07/blockchain-back/?mbid=social_fb

I'm glad to hear this!
Over time this will help global acceptance of Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is slowly but surely on its way to become mainstream.
Of course, ''big companies'' like Apple will not accept Bitcoin if they don't see some benefit or profit from it Smiley
11082  Other / Off-topic / Re: Tomorrow is my birthday! on: August 07, 2014, 04:05:51 PM
I am going to turn 21 in less then 24 hours.

I think that you should spend your birthday with someone you love Smiley
11083  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins at the British Museum on: August 07, 2014, 03:58:48 PM
If it's in the British Museum, does that mean it's history?

I guess this is real history but I really hope that Bitcoin will also become future soon Smiley

Casillas sold by Real for 100000 BTC

That would be fun to see Cheesy

New info on something i have just read.

Ronaldino to join QPR for next season. Xa can some1 conform this pls.

His legs have gone these days.  A good free styler though and dead ball delivery, dont think he'd even make the QPR side if he wasnt ronaldino.

Well that's not necessarily true. Ronaldinho can still deliver that quality pass and his attractive skills and huge reputation would encourage great marketing trick with shirt selling so I think he would be great investment for QPR. Still I would like to see him in club which plays Champions League just to enjoy his magic on continental level.

I think that his ''best days'' already passed long timer ago and now only what is left is his name and reputation.
But, you are right, his reputation can help greatly QPR and for this team he can still play some good games.
11085  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Anyone following the ebola outbreak? on: August 07, 2014, 02:18:11 PM
It will be great if local African people will have the same medical treatment and help like this 2 Americans send back to USA.
Now, they will have greater chance to survive but what about this pure people from Africa, without money and hope, and without American passport?
11086  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your inspiration? on: August 07, 2014, 01:57:36 PM
What is my inspiration?
First my beloved wife, because of her love and kindness.
Second, people around me, dear friends who understand me and support me in the time of need.
Third, my belief and spiritual inspiration I have through this in the time of despair.

11087  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Commuters Tilt Train to Rescue Man Who Got Stuck in the Gap on: August 07, 2014, 01:52:40 PM
This story is really great example what people can do when they are inspired to help others, do something for greater purpose.
It will be great to see many more such great examples around us Smiley
11088  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC.COM sold for 1.1 million usd on: August 07, 2014, 01:47:44 PM
WOW
This is really huge amount for domain only.
I guess buyer invested so much not based on the current market value of this domain but because he feels that this will be very good investment in the future, based on prediction that bitcoin will raise in value and popularity.
11089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ARGENTINA COULD BE THE 1ST COUNTRY USING BITCOIN AS OFFICIAL CURRENCY on: August 07, 2014, 01:42:41 PM
I heard Andreas Anotonopoulos talk about Argentina and how close they are to their 3rd fiat crash. I really hope they could give bitcoins a try at least. But it's sort of farfetched for now, imagine the elderly etc, they won't have any idea what they are doing.

It will be great if Argentina give chance to Bitcoin.
In their current financial situation, they have nothing to loose and a lot to gain.
But, I don't think they are ready for this step.

11091  Other / Off-topic / Re: A new era of computer hacking. on: August 07, 2014, 01:18:19 PM
its not that new a while ago a gang got caught sticking usb devices into phone chargers the device then uploaded personal info while you phone or tablet charged... i was very impressed by it.

USB is also one of the easiest way to pass virus... So I guess using it to hack seems possible and easy..

Yes, it's true.
This is the reason why I used just my own USB on my computer, never from unknown source.
It's never safe.
11092  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Freedom on: August 07, 2014, 12:56:48 PM
i agree with all of you.
Bitcoin is freedom and future, financial freedom to be exact.
But... still we are very far from our goal, to become globally accepted and mainstream.
Official financial institution will oppose us as much as they can because nobody can control Bitcoin and there is no bank behind us.
I hope that first big merchants will understand great benefits of using bitcoins and after them governments and ordinary people.
11093  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Satoshi will ever spend his bitcoins? on: August 07, 2014, 12:43:04 PM
We don't know who is Satoshi, so we can'0t answer this question, just guess.
Satoshi can be individual, cooperation, government etc. even group of people.
Also, we don't know their goal behind, their true agenda, why they created Bitcoin, and without this we can't know what they will do with Bitcoins.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Bitcoin Foundation Filing with N.Y. Department of Financial Services Wins Promise of More Information about “BitLicense” Proposal
WASHINGTON, D.C. (Aug 6, 2014) -- In response to a Bitcoin Foundationfiling yesterday, the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) quickly promised to provide the foundation more information about its controversial “BitLicense” proposal.
Citing New York law that requires a clear statement of “needs and benefits” for proposed regulations, the Bitcoin Foundation’s commentsincluded a request under New York’s Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) for “any risk management and cost-benefit analysis (or any other systematic assessment) that is a part of the ‘extensive research and analysis’” the NYDFS cited when it issued its proposal.
“The community can help you fit regulatory means to public interest ends if they have access to the risks your study of digital currencies identified,” wrote Bitcoin Foundation Global Policy Counsel Jim Harper to New York’s Superintendent of Financial Services. The NYDFS promised hours later to deliver that information to the foundation within 20 days.
Echoing and extending community demand for more time to comment, the Bitcoin Foundation also suggested that the NYDFS adopt “an iterative process, in which you issue drafts, take comments for three months, re-draft, and take comments again until the many, many issues raised by the proposed regulation are thoroughly vetted in true collaboration with the community. ”
Citing the NYDFS Superintendent’s willingness to engage with the community on Reddit, the Bitcoin Foundation letter highlighted tools such as News Genius and GitHub that would support a truly collaborative rulemaking process. “[T]he department should resist the constraints of administrative procedures developed in the era of postage stamps,” Harper wrote. “We are confident that the community will meet you wherever you announce you will be engaging with them.”
The Bitcoin Foundation will publish all of the material it receives from the NYDFS for the Bitcoin community to review. If the agency takes the full 20 days to respond, the materials will be available just days before the close of the original comment period on the regulations, which was the minimum 45 days allowed by New York law. The NYDFS has signaled that it will extend the comment period on its sweeping, controversial draft digital currency regulation.

This is very promising news, indeed.
It will be really very interesting to see response from the New York Department of Financial Services as this can help us in dealing with other, similar, financial institution in the future.
11096  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why I Support Mars Colonization on: August 06, 2014, 03:42:30 PM
I think everyone supports it because of scifi movies that were super cool and full of lasers., so mars = lasers for everyone? Also everyone knows its full of mars gold Cheesy

Yes, but they support it for the wrong reasons!
Mars can become our alternative place to live, human's shelter in the event of the destruction of the planet earth.

11100  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Best place in America to rape 12 year-old girls on: August 06, 2014, 03:04:16 PM
Yes, it's really shocking to see such big differences between different states and even countries in the world regarding punishment for rape of very young children.
I think that we, the people, should start sending protest letters (in this states and countries) to the politicians and others who make such weak criminal lows, and push them to change it.
Media should also report about this and help positive changes in this area.
