Teamviewer or RDP to a PC on the network. Access the Ants from there. Never had any experience with Teamviewer. Is there something that has to be installed on the S3? Well, if you want to access your antminers "from the outside" you could point ssh ports for each on your router so for example you would type this on a linux terminal: ssh -p PORT_number_for_antminer1 user@IP_OR_DynamicHOST The ideal would be to change ssh configuration to key authentication so you dont need to type a password. That would be required for each antminer and your router should point this like: internal port PORT_number_forantminerN External port_lowerboundport PORT_number_forantminerN External port_limitport PORT_number_forantminerN internal host: INTERNAL_IP_ANTMINER_N for a dynamic host you would need to use one of those freedns or buy one at dyndns and pay it mothly. that means if your ip changes it will be on a link like: mylink.dyndns.org and you would access your router from there but when accessing via ssh you could use that instead of your usual IP. And at the end you would need to configure it so your router can change the ip automatically on dyndns (they usually have an area for that) <- thats the easiest method for newbees on networking. Remember that making this available from outside is a security issue that might be exploited by third party if they ever knew your dynamic dns or scanned your network. I've confirmed with BITMAINTECh that its not possible to identify that an Antminer S3 is different from other from physical review, i've ordered 2 from amazon from some guy who's not BITMAINTECH, i'll be posting about my experience, perhaps i could check which firmware the antminer have and verify that i have Batch 7 (since thats the one "pre-ordered"), any ideas are welcome boys.
what exactly are you trying to do??? I bought 2 antminer S3 that are supposed to be Batch 7 from Amazon from seller: Bitmainantminer <- thats his name on amazon. They will arrive soon, and i need to verify and certify my self that those units are: 100% working parts & real parts Never used Batch 7 So, my only idea since there's no way to verify that the batch is actually BS7, is to set frequencies and see what # GH/S i get. Why didnt you just buy from bitmain instead of a marked up (and probably used) unit from amazon? i didnt buy from the official site since its really hard to get bitcoins (I live on a Caribbean country) anyway i've learned my lesson but for now i need to solve my issue, so give me some ideas. |

For some strange reason 2 out of my 5 Ant Miners require re-flashing every day to bring back up to stock speeds of 441 GH/s they appear to run stable for about 12 hours or so and then both just fall to circa 420 GH/s. I have tried everything, replacing the thermal paste, swapping around the PSU's, factory restart, reboot etc. The only thing that helps (For a short period of time) is if I flash the device again and again every 12 hours or so.
Has anyone else got any thoughts on what else I could do? Or do I just have 2 faulty units?
I've observed something similar with hashrates dropping to around 420 , however I also see hash rates of 460-470. Basically there's a 10% variance both + and -. I now have 4 S3's and besides the faulty one now doing 229 the rest is up and running at 427 to 444. I also have a dragon 1 Th/s miner and also this one shows a variance of up to 8% both up and down. My observations after a week are that the hash rates somehow go up and down simultaniously. So if the Antminers are "slower' the Dragonminer seems to be slower as well. Did you buy your Dragon miner from http://bitcoin-miners.me/?? would you recommend 2 antminer s3 or 1 th dragon miner? |
