It all depends, I've not used bitminter, slush is your best option, old and trusted. Sidenote: BTC-GUILD will be closing so..

Remember that you just need to understand what payment method they use and test them out for a period of time each, for example
mine 1 month in bitminter and 1 month in slush

Thank you very much for your reply!  Smiley

By the way, why BTC-GUILD is closing? Bankruptcy?

871  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How do private keys work, a detailed explanation please on: December 25, 2014, 01:24:10 AM
A nice read that help you understanding cryptography is Applied Cryptography by Bruce Scheiner, its a little bit old, but does have enough information to get around and understand the cryptography concepts.

I know how cryptography functions, i was just curious how it is applied in bitcoin technology and what backdoors could possibly exist that could compromise the security of my funds  Grin

Feel free to check this out then, im not a developer but this is a really interesting read

874  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you spending your Bitcoin? on: December 24, 2014, 04:12:28 PM
How much BTC do you have now ?  0
How much did you spent?  I've spent around 5-10 BTC in all the low trades or buys
How much did you lost or scammed by someone?  I've never been scammed by anyone involving btc.. so all good

875  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am I supposed to do something when I get emails with "We found a block!" on: December 24, 2014, 04:10:57 PM
If you want to get into mining you need to get kwatt as low as 0.01-0.15 cents of US dollar PER KW
with that low cost on energy you may ROI with antminers s5, s4, sp (spoondolies), etc
876  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Open Source Bitcoin Exchange Project on: December 24, 2014, 03:56:36 PM

877  Bitcoin / Project Development / Open Source - Arbitrage/trading bot - Project idea on: December 24, 2014, 02:32:21 PM
I would like to start an open source arbitrage bot so people can buy/sell bitcoins
give me your suggestions and ideas on this.
I've got a friend that will help with the programming and we would host the project on git hub..
let me know what do you think about this.

An example paid bot is butterbot
878  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No more purchasing BTC on: December 24, 2014, 02:30:01 PM
Bitcoin is like Islam, not even when price drops people stop mining.. lol the force and the faith are strong when it relates with bitcoin.

anyway, you should just buy an amount that you wont afford to loose and hold it, or do some arbitrage..

880  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: The New Standard, 0.51J/G, Shipping on Jan 4th [Sales Open] on: December 23, 2014, 08:18:00 PM
Does anyone have a suggestion for a PSU for this new S5?

I think this will do with no overclocking

http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Enthusiast-Certified-Compatible-platforms/dp/B004LB5AZY

for safety, i would get the 750w version.
