Yes, I am working on something.... And yes the math was wrong too.
Thank you, Sir.

@ZACHM
is there anyway to get the worker info and in the settings where it says dropped worker have the workers listed with a check box next to them so you can select what ones you want notified if they drop?
say i have rented hash, or one temporarily down on purpose.. the way your site works ill get an email every few minutes for a few days until it drops off the 5N
I'll look into it. I think I have it set now to only notify for 30 minutes. Hi Zach, I'm curious... Will the 7 day average, 14 day average, 30 day average and 60 day average on "Rewards" be brought back to the monitor? I'm assuming its away for now because you may be doing some work on it [Maybe cause the math was wrong or something]?

It's my birthday today folks. Almost forgot. Just started my 60th year.
Happy Birthday Wolf...60? I'm just a little behind you! Today is everyone's Birthday with a 3 block party! He's 59 with whiter hair. At least he has hair...

WOW.... I've been on the phone a while talking to different electrical contractors to line up more estimates for power upgrade. Come back to my computer to find more email notifications for "Blocks Found." SweeeeeeeeeeeeT

Here's to hoping this train picks up steam and further reduces the variance between solved blocks....I just got scammed out of 5.1 BTC, so I need to recoup all I can as quickly as I can given the halving window this summer....
Sorry about the scam. I just had PayPal say FU to getting my $1500 or my four s5's back from some eBay crook. Supposedly you can have a guest eBay account (use one time) AND a guest PayPal account. Joker waited 45 days, then filed with their credit card. PayPal jerked me around for two months then said too bad so sad. Out of their hands. At the mercy of the buyer's credit card company. Good thing is they put a -1500 balance on my PayPal account and then lumped it in with my next purchase which I did not authorize. They pulled the money from Amex. Now I get to do the chargeback through Amex. Will be interesting to see how it plays out. Yes, it will be interesting how that plays out.

That's what I'm trying to get at...
I have no idea why bitmain would sell this. This sounds like only PART of a Control Board [BB board without the IO]. WHY would they sell this? What is there for us to gain by purchasing this? Anyone?
Here is a picture of the disassembled BB & IO Boards, as you can see the BB plugs into the IO as do the Hash Board cables, Fans and Power. I assume that Bitmain would sell IO Boards? LOL... I just went to an S7 and had a look at the Control board [Which consists of the BB board and IO (daughter) board]. I see this now. I prefer to be able to purchase both and not just one. I want extras for the future in case of failure.

The BB tend to crap out regularly. Which means if you still have a working Daughter board you can just swap out the BBB and the SD card and it might start working again. I'm going to have a look at the control board now on an S7. Sounds like I'm about to learn something else.

So when bitmain says, "IO board not included," I'm trying to figure out what this is? Is this "IO" something else I need to purchase separately to get the BB Board to work with my rigs? IF so, any idea of what it looks like or where I can get one? It doesn't make sense to me for bitmain to sell a BB board if there is no means of connecting it to the rigs. I'm at a loss here cause I'm totally ignorant of this and trying to learn. Will the BB board simply connect to the controller on the rigs [which is connected to the blades and fans] or will the BB board actually need this daughter board that will connect to the blades and the fans?
OK missed that. IO (Input Output) Board is what I have been calling the Interface Board. Your rigs will all have both an IO & BB Board fitted. Why are you wanting to purchase additional BB / IO Boards? Rich That's what I'm trying to get at... I have no idea why bitmain would sell this. When you say, "This then plugs into a Bitmain propriety interface board ( Called it a Daughter Board, but probably better named as an Interface Board)..." Is this the "Controller," or is this something else that has to be purchased separate? If this is something else to be purchased separately, any idea what that something is?
I think "The Controller" is normally thought of as the combination of the two as they are both needed to Control the Miner. The BB is common between the S4, S4+, S5,S5+,S7 however the "Interface Board" is different for most of the systems. There is however some commonality to the Interface Boards in that the early S7 used the same board as the S5+. So yes for a complete Controller you need both. Not sure what the Bitmain name for the Interface Board is? Rich So when bitmain says, "IO board not included," I'm trying to figure out what this is? The BB board is like a RasPi board, but you need the daughter board, the other board you plug into the BB that has all the ASIC and fan connectors, to actually use the miner. I'm not sure that ordering the BB there is going to include a daughter board hat you would need. But i guess that if its the BB failing, you can re use the daughter board. I could not tell, however. EDIT: Never mind... Thanks for the education, VirosaGITS. Much appreciated!!! I realize now the daughter board and the BB board combined are what we call the "controller" for the ant miners. Bitmain is only selling the BB boards and not the daughter boards. I might buy a couple just in case any of mine for the S7's go bad. Any idea of where I can get a Daughter Board for the ASIC's and Fans to plug into?

Thanks for the link. This then plugs into a Bitmain propriety interface board ( Called it a Daughter Board, but probably better named as an Interface Board) which has additional components to interface to the Hash Boards via the cables that you have also linked to, and also the Fans etc. Probably does more than just interfacing, but that is beyond my knowledge...

Looks like it's their cut down version of the Beagle Bone Black Board, but minus the Daughter Board with the connections to the Hash Boards etc. Rich Hmmmmmm, Meaning? A Daughter Board that is used for what? EDIT: I see you said it connects to the hash boards. If this is the case, how would it be connected to the hash boards? What Daughter Board would be compatible with it? {I'm learning here}Is this something similar to Raspberry? I never was familiar with the Raspberry. Never had one in my hands or used one. I take it this is a means of having multiple S7's [Maybe 50 x S7's] connected to one device and being able to manage all 50 rigs from this one device?

Please quote so the picture will show. Please don't mind the 3 fans. I'm doing Heat stress test and exhaust test with 3000CFM, 7000 CFM Axial fan and 600 CFM Centrifugal.
@Kilo17 - How do I cut /connect the cable or connect for the 182 version that is 3PIN with 1 manual controller for FAN speed? Or can I just connect this to the 3Pin FAN Controller on Finksy / J4bberwock board?
I would think you just simply connect it to the 3Pin FAN Controller on Finksy / J4bberwock board since you have that board. The b/o board made for the 2880 / 2980 PSU does not have a 3 or 4 pin fan jack. As for CFM on exhaust fans, you cannot always trust the CFM declarations made by fan manufacturers. Especially, if the fan is not inside of a tube axial type enclosure. I've found the longer (deeper) the tube axial is, the better CFM will be with the same size motor. I've had a little bit of experience over the years with exhaust fans for wood/furniture shops when staining, painting, etc... My father always had a wood/furniture shop built on his property where ever they bought a house. I also worked in a furniture factory in Berlin, New Hampshire when I got out of the Marine Corp in 1988. My father and the owner of the furniture factory both said the tube axial design is the way to go if one can afford it and has a proper place to mount it. The tube axial design has more suction power than one that has a rinky dink box or cage built around it. Here is a link for example of Tube Axial Fans with the cheapest price. You will not find cheaper prices on the internet for fans of this quality that are new: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2047675.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.A0.H0.XTUBE+AXIAL+DUCT+FAN.TRS1&_nkw=TUBE+AXIAL+DUCT+FAN&_sacat=0Also, if you can afford or find an affordable tube axial fan, it is best to get a belt driven tube axial than a direct drive. If something should ever go wrong with the motor of a direct drive model, you will have to disconnect the blade from the direct drive motor. THAT can be a pain in the ass! If you have an issue with a belt driven motor, you can easily take the belt off the wheel of the motor and do maintenance or replacement much easier without having the frustration of removing a fan blade.

For those that have been using the Reward Entry feature on http://ckpoolmonitor.zachmonroe.com/, I have an update. You can now edit your entry if you make a mistake. I plan on expanding this feature more soon. I plan to make it so you can pick a time duration and see your total BTC and averages for the specified time span. Thank you, Sir! Appreciate it!

I have been using latest and greatest firmware for S5 from Bitmain. It works fine for me on Kano's pool.
Thanks for sharing!
|
|
|
Did something change to the pool? My Hash rate is showing as over 40% less than what it should be.
It's much less than what it was 2hrs ago. My Hash rate should be around 15TH give or take +/- 5%
Does Elapsed time at 4mins means the server just got rebooted?
We did have a pool restart. Kano, gave us an hour notice and then a 10 minute notice before it occurred. Do all of your workers show the pool "Alive" now? If so, it will take up to an hour for the pool to show your full hash rate again.

I slushed over. Welcome to the fold, coffeangst! Thank you very much for pointing your hash this direction!
