this boost thing is driving me nuts.

i'm still trying to get this development environment up, so don't want to hype anything.
MRC is a very attractive coin to develop for right now, but I keep running into wall after wall.
no pain no gain right?
Oh. I wish I can help you more.
Well, any way it is just boostlib libraries issue.
Cloud server is not reason for that. I have use same server provider.

well... i'm almost sure, that we are not enough active supporters here to make enough "free" votes for MRC on cryptsy....

With only "free" votes we don't seem to have a chance.... if i have a look at the voting-list there...
You may right, we need to pay IF we want to get it on craptsy.

at actual voting-counts it would theoretically cost us 1.8 BTC to buy enough votes for Pos.1
How much we can collect?
I can pay something if we deside to collect for Cryptsy vote.
But I know they will keep vote open and few days more and we will go to Cryptsy more easy.

Have been following it for long time.. still waiting when it catches Vert Cheesy

Thanks for your update!

Could you give step-by-step instructions including config file for CPU mining - I've tried the setgenerate=true, but still no coin.

I'm afraid difficulty is way too high to get coins with few CPU miner.
But on later, when nFactor is drop GPU miners speed lower...

We can vote for MicroCoin to be added on Cryptsy, on Cryptsy now!

You can vote both free and paid.
Voted.
So if we want micro in Craptsy, now we can do it.
Go give your vote on Cryptsy.

hate to be stuck here and can't move forward.

It is pust request to git update. Just wait an hour and it will be accepted.
Then download it:
Code:
git clone https://github.com/microcoinsource/microcoin.git

Now there is microCoind in folder src.

Start service in microCoin/src folder:
Code:
./microCoind

Edit your conf file:
Code:
nano /root/.microCoin/microCoin.conf

and start again service in microCoin/src folder:
Code:
./microCoind

Hope this help you continue.
What service you are building for micro?
Or is it still secret  Tongue

Hello guys! Please tell me how to properly configure the card HD 7950 on asus coin microCoin? I just issue a maximum of 240 kh / s, seen on screen that r9 290x issue megahesh 7-9. How to configure graphics card, please help ...
The speed varies with different computers and GPU's, even I have all same models my speed is between 190 - 287
I think 240 is not so bad.
I use script:
--scrypt --Nfmin 4 --Nfmax 30 --StartT 1389028879 --queue 0 --scan-time 4 --expiry 2
I have -I 17, 19 and 20
This because some GPU's crash if I use higest I.

I'm trying to do some microCoin development.

How do you run a microCoin daemon?

reading through: https://github.com/microcoinsource/microcoin/blob/master/doc/build-unix.txt

kind of stuck at compiling the source on Ubuntu13.10

% make -f makefile.unix
g++ -c -O2 -msse2 -pthread -Wall -Wextra -Wformat -Wformat-security -Wno-unused-parameter -g -DBOOST_SPIRIT_THREADSAFE -I/root/microcoin/src -I/root/microcoin/src/obj -DUSE_UPNP=0 -DUSE_IPV6=1 -DSCRYPT_KECCAK512 -DSCRYPT_CHACHA -DSCRYPT_CHOOSE_COMPILETIME -DHAVE_BUILD_INFO -fno-stack-protector -fstack-protector-all -Wstack-protector -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2  -MMD -MF obj/alert.d -o obj/alert.o alert.cpp
alert.cpp:5:29: fatal error: boost/foreach.hpp: No such file or directory
 #include <boost/foreach.hpp>
                             ^
compilation terminated.
make: *** [obj/alert.o] Error 1

any help appreciated.
Try to install you boost again.
As you see error is: boost/foreach.hpp: No such file or directory

Here is how I install it: Ubuntu 12.04.3 x64
Type these to update the system, and install required tools.
Code:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install libqtgui4 qt4-qmake libqt4-dev build-essential libboost-dev libboost-system-dev libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-thread-dev libssl-dev libdb++-dev git
sudo apt-get install libboost-all-dev
sudo apt-get install libboost1.48-all-dev
Next, get the microcoin source code from git.
Code:
git clone https://github.com/microcoinsource/microcoin.git

Navigate to the src directory and begin the compilation.
Code:
cd microcoin/src/
make -f makefile.unix USE_UPNP=-

Copy microcoind somewhere to make it executable for every user on the system.
Code:
cp microCoind /usr/bin/microCoind

Try to start microcoind:
Code:
./microCoind

You can see the path where you need to put conf file:
Usually it is: /root/.microCoin/

Make your conf file in there:
Code:
nano /root/.microCoin/microCoin.conf

Put in your conf file:
Code:
server=1
daemon=1
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=x
rpcport=3333
rpcallowip=*

Start microcoind:
Code:
./microCoind

You're done.

1155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUR][MANDATORY UPDATE] Auroracoin - a cryptocurrency for Iceland on: March 05, 2014, 12:16:25 AM
Just wonder, how you may reach this premined coin almost every Icelander?
I mean:
1. If you really give premined coins out, how you know when some Icelander is get it? Do they need to send passport and prove address?
5. What happen you premined coins if Icelanders don't want it at all?
2. How you will teach to use altcoins for Icelanders?
3. How about they who have no computers? How you share physical aur?
4. Do you think other or even your government will accept your currency?
I smell pump & premined dump  Roll Eyes

Read the OP and the website for the coin, it has been explained several times before.

Every person on Iceland has a personal identification number and it is not a big issue to make sure all individuals get their payments and only get one. Same type of system for personal identification numbers (and with these numbers publicly easily verifiable) is in place in many countries, for example Sweden, Finland, Norway, Estonia and Denmark.

Everything can be found in the website.
Of course it's technically possible.
I will not give my ID number some anomymous guys  Cheesy
I'm pretty sure I'm not only.
I still smell pump & premined dump  Roll Eyes

I think one solution for withdraw security may be:
1. online wallets handle only transfers in and forward it direct via VPN to the firewalled computer where safe wallets are.
2. Withdraw send inquiry script and it need release manually.
..or more fancy method; Scrip will calculate user balance from deposit, withdraw and trade history. This need to match with user balance until withdraw will be accepted automatically.
And of course withdraw query can accept only from exchange domain.

btw. +++1 for busoni.
He explane what happen, handle security problem and take all responsibilities about what happen.
I'm glad they didn't loose more, and he can pay all stoled coins.

I think it's better to set bullet proof security, even if it mean little slower withdraws.

Yes i would rather use a slow withdrawal. We should tell the customers that it is an exchange not a wallet. Deposit only money for exchange not for long term deposit.
If there is offline/VPN wallets I think they can be for long term deposit too, but those online wallets, I would not leave any coins standing. I have seen so many robbet exchanges, and I doup there is many more but they don't tell, just pay they loss in quet.

Please miners come to this pool. We need hash power. More decentralized hashpower is better for the network and for everyone.
We need at least 10 good hash miners there, please come on, it's 0% fee also.
I will come test your pool as soon I can get time to change my scripts.

Honestly, what's stopping me from swithing to this pool is two things:
- The guy who promotes it here doesn't seem to speak even basic English based on his posts. No offence, but how we're supposed to get any support?
- Statistics was kind of weird on the first day. They were discovering blocks rapidly during first 24 hours, much faster than they should at their hash rate. And then it was back to normal in next 24 hours - only a couple of blocks found.
Not sure if statistics on that pool can be trusted.
I see. I will check blocks.
Edit: well, looks like there is no possible to search history Sad
So I can't see, are you right or wrong.
