everyone turn off your miners btc just hit $102
It will go up again, I quess.
It's just because GOX stealing all bitcoins. (They already stole all fiat money)
They need to make that kind of lie so they can say "Can't send you bitcoins because we just look and it's unsafe" lol.
I'm so glad I stop using GOX few moths ago.

If they have API problem (I even doup that) it's not bitcoin fault.

Can't get the wallet working on debian

github doesn't compile (src/scrypt-jane/scrypt-jane.c:30:27: fatal error: malloc/malloc.h: No such file or directory)

the binary linked won't run (./microcoin-qt.bin64: error while loading shared libraries: libminiupnpc.so.9: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory) nor will the other binary (/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.14' not found (required by ./bin/microcoin-qt.bin64)

?
Here you will find info's about malloc.h
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/12973311/difference-between-stdlib-h-and-malloc-h
Anyway as dev say, new wallet is not mandatory update.

How about, is there any who have new wallet compiled on linux?
Share pls

Two quick questions:

1) Anyone have a working Linux miner and/or instructions to build one?
2) What is the network hash rate for MRC right now?

Regarding the second point, it appears the MRC client does not report the network hash rate. That ought to be fixed at some point, but without that information and based on the current difficulty, is there a way to estimate the network hash rate? Really, the client needs an update.

Thanks!
I dont think there is any scrypt jane coin with network speed info.
But sure it would be nice.

You can make own raw tigger using example some pool info Coins/day and average diff
For me it's enaf I look my coins/day average and I see network is growing slowly, because my reward is about same all the time even block size increasing.

I don't use linux miners is there is any volunteers compile it and publish here?
1304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] microCoin MRC - Scrypt-Jane - nFactor - Now on poloniex.com! on: February 08, 2014, 04:48:24 PM
I can't mine. The miner crashes before it starts mining.

I'm using Windows Vista 64-bit. 6gb DDR2. Intel Core2 Quad. Sapphire HD 7950 3GB w/ Boost.

I used the BAT file that came with the miner:
Code:
microCoinminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://micro.minersbest.com:10466 -u snip -p snip --scrypt --Nfmin 4 --Nfmax 30 --StartT 1389028879 --queue 0 --scan-time 2 --expiry 4

Unfortunately I don't have a crash report since it's a precompiled binary. The error that occurs is simply "microCoinMiner.exe has stopped working".

Try use QQC miner, someone used it with same error and it helped him.

This worked, thanks. Also what is the typical speed of this algorithm? My 7950 is getting 17 KH/s with these settings.
Use I flag. Example -I 19

This isn't working out too well for me, I think I am going to hold off on mining this.

- The miner doesn't work for me, so I used QQC miner.
- The wallet isn't synching for me, even with all the extra nodes.
- The pool I tried hasn't found a block in the past hour, it reports net hash rate is zero, and 2 of the 3 last blocks it has found were orphans.

Seems pretty rough to me. I'll be watching this though, and hopefully will be back when the kinks are worked out.
stratum+tcp://mrc.blocksolved.com:3310
No orphans, Found blocks every minutes.

1309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] microCoin MRC - Scrypt-Jane - nFactor - Now on poloniex.com! on: February 08, 2014, 02:11:31 PM
Thanks but i tried it, still not working Sad

this is my config now:
rpcport=3232
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=x
rpcallowip=*
server=1
listen=1
daemon=1
addnode=84.251.34.142:3232
addnode=84.251.34.142:2232
addnode=145.220.255.56:35937
addnode=24.155.217.218:62494
addnode=183.171.178.11:10278

I see.
But in your log, there is port Bound to 4444
But maybe it's made with other conf file.
BTW looks like you have IPV6 enabled. I have issue with that with some programs.
How about if you try that; disable IPV6 in your network setting.
1310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] microCoin MRC - Scrypt-Jane - nFactor - Now on poloniex.com! on: February 08, 2014, 01:41:13 PM
Hi, I tried everything to get the wallet working, but still no effect.
- tried adjusting the config file with the new servers
- Even the manual command: "addnode ip add"  => is not working it gives me error: Method not found (code -32601)
- tried downloading the new unofficial microcoin wallet with the new poort settings
- disabled firewall and virusscanner
- check with a poort website poort 4444 or 44444 is not blocked

The wallet has one or two connections and after that it gives none. it doesn't update and download the blockchain
All the other wallets from other coins all work without errors.

please help me!!!

Can someone please explain the N factor to me?
Here you can find basic explanation about scrypt-jane and nFactor
http://velocitycoin.com/forum/index.php?topic=487.0
And here is all technical data:
https://github.com/floodyberry/scrypt-jane

Main point is; it will make coin ASIC miners resistant. This will be important properties because ASIC mining may fork small coins on future and make it unprofitable mining with GPU anymore)

Funny but even current microcoin market price mining gives me 2X more than DOGE. (I get with doge ~90 USD/day and microcoin ~190 USD/day... if I sell... but I dont Smiley
1313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Official] Cryptsy Coin Poll on: February 07, 2014, 10:06:02 PM
microCoin ofcourse should added.
Fair, no insta/premine and it's scrypt asic resist.
But if you waiting they pay something to get this coin on your market, you waist your time.
It is truly fair coin without ANY instamine and they will get markets anyway.
It will be popular and gives you too well profits on that way.

I have 2 HD 7990  Huh

See and use.

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
microCoinminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://xxxpools.com:xxxx -u xxxxxxx.1 -p x --scrypt --Nfmin 4 --Nfmax 30 --StartT 1389028879 --queue 0 --scan-time 2 --expiry 4  --failover-only -w 512 --shaders 2048 -v 1 --thread-concurrency 8192,8192,8192,8192 --gpu-fan 100 --gpu-engine 1000,950,950,950 --gpu-memclock 1500,1500,1500,1500 --temp-target 77,77,77,77 --temp-overheat 82,82,82,82 --lookup-gap 2 -g 2 --intensity 13,13,13,13,13 --disable-rejecting
PAUSE

2.2 Mh/s now.

Question to the developers and knowledgeable people.

Where official website ?

Tomorrow I will put a powerful pool. Need the latest version of the miners and FAQ.

Latest miner is on first post in this thread and there is no reason to update it.
Web page address is not published yet.
New wallet will updated soon, but it's not mandatory. (Update needs are new logo,default port, some message info's, new checkpoints)

That is all I know about.

So if you set pool, you can use current wallet and miner versions.

Am i blind or theres not a single word in OP about PoS details.
There was something but if you want, you can always check all pos and pow settings from main.ccp

hi, i'm trying mining this coins (MRC), but i dont get in..

this is my line command:

microcoinminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://mrc.blocksolved.com:3310 -u user.workuser -p workpasswd  --Nfmin 4 --Nfmax 30 --StartT 1389028879 --queue 0 --scan-time 2 --expiry 4 -I 14

if i put --scrypt the cmd window open and close faster..

so, this line command without --scrypt opens the cmd windows but show many HW (hardware errors) , and nothing the accept,  someone knows what am i doing wrong ?

and i changed the intensity for plus and minus... always the same problem

my drivers is ok, i was mining another coins before, no problems..
--scrypt  is mandatory. other way, looks correct
1318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] microCoin MRC - Scrypt-Jane - nFactor - Now on poloniex.com! on: February 06, 2014, 02:39:45 PM
Long story short,  he said that this happened to others as well and that the mrc developers should look into fixing this.

Here is where my .1btc is stuck and this apparently is also his MRC wallet address.

https://blockchain.info/address/18noFUH7JzrJZbqxAnzUEF67CLXVU23LP7

He was helpful when I made my additional deposit.
Well, on that case.
There is nothing even dev can do for your 0.1 BTC. Just dont send bitcoins to the wrong (edit: microCoin) address  Shocked

I think dev can't change address first letter after network is started, (I think so but not sure).

1319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] microCoin MRC - Scrypt-Jane - nFactor - Now on poloniex.com! on: February 06, 2014, 01:05:45 PM
I just sent .1BTC for deposit at Crycurex and the site administrator is saying that it accidentally went into his MRC wallet address because it's starts with a 1 and he can't do anything about it.   How is this even possible?  The deposit address displayed has 18 confirmations on the bitcoin network.

Is there anything that he can do to get my .1BTC out?
bitcoin network will never accept microCoins and opposite way.
Put here what he answer so we can see is he scamming or just miss understand or really happen.
If you sent it to the wrong address= you fault
If he have something mess = hes fault

edit: BUT.. it is possible there is similar address on bitcoin network than someone MRC address is, and then if you send bitcoins and put your MRC address or some one other address,
it is really sent and there is nothing to do.
This is not usually problem because same happen if you give any other wrong address.

Coin address is random and only first letter separate it from other coin. (All letters are used at least once, so there is no actually unique letters free anymore.)
I have got some "gift" coins because of that (Bitcoins and TAGs)

at least the premine is justified

give em credit for at-least not lying to you
Yes, that's +++ ... but try to mining 1% of all coins ever, with your mining rig, then you will really feel how much it is  Cheesy
