1161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 31, 2023, 08:44:10 PM
To be fair if you are PSG, then facing Milan, Dortmund and Newcastle shouldn't be a problem for you. I think they should be the leader of that group, they are capable of beating them all, their aim is usually winning the UCL but we know that they fail that but for a team that aims at winning the whole thing, it should not be really considered to be a big trouble to face these teams.

PSG does have some serious rivals, like Madrid, like City, like Bayern, but those are not in the same group, which Real could have been so that's lucky. I think this is why they should not fear this group, and hope to get out with 18 points if they possibly could, but if not, at least go out with the first place to make sure they are doing fine.
1162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Conference League 2023/24 Season on: August 31, 2023, 08:15:16 PM
I think it is going to be easy to see who is going to win and it's about time we would learn about the groups and get the bigger games. It's easy to be fooled by how to bet on these early games but unfortunately it's not always that much fun, even if you are the favorite, you may have harder time to win because you end up with a trouble since it is just the start of the season and you may not get what you want out of this.

However, when you reach the group stages and play a few games, suddenly you realize that everyone is starting to play with their own caliber and not lower. This causes the teams to be a lot more predictable, win or lose, and that means a lot easier to bet. So I just skip the last games and wait for the groups.

The theme is "Unforgettable August" but there's no specific event to relate on, so yes the participants really need to be more creative. It's a challenge for the artists to think of what is suited for this month that is still related to Roobet, certainly we'll see a different arts based on their skills.

Anyway only 3 days left but no one submitted their entries yet. I'm excited to see the artworks and who will win this time since 5 categories are back.
Okay so I was away for a few days and I am seeing lots of discussions going on but yeah they always have such good themes where you can bring up anything you like with polishing your skills and creativity but surprised to see there are no entries still but we will see few of them and nobody wants to miss the rewards.
I would guess that it will be on the last day but I can also guarantee you that it's the "mr.roo must be in the image" thing that makes it limited and causing this. I mean on the last days there will be a ton of additions without a doubt, but at the end of the day it's not going to be the best one, the best ones are out there doing stuff without mr.roo in it and maybe that's alright, we still need him anyway.

In any case, I feel like we should just wait, since it's thousands of dollars we are talking about, we are not going to see zero hype, we are going to see at least SOME people join it and it's going to be either good or bad but there will be some people, nobody will let it go to waste for free, they will apply with a pencil drawing of stickman if they have to.

I mean the "mugshot" itself is a lie lol, that's not a real mugshot from anywhere, he just put a picture of himself in front of a grey background and I bet that someone did it on photoshop for him as well and he is using that as a mugshot.

I would love it if the mugshot would end up getting a lot more interest, it would be quite important because at the end of the day we would see it change on the long run and his real mugshot would not get this much attention, I mean it would but not in a good way. This dude should have been locked up already, the fact that he is still out and walking free makes me question the integrity of the law in the USA. Not that it wasn't obvious before, but it looks like what might be illegal for you, may not be illegal for rich and powerful.

Hazard could still play somewhere if he wanted to but I guess he made enough money and obvious that he is not going to end up playing well enough anywhere.

I think he realized that he is not doing that great and we should not expect any more football from him. If he believed that he could do a bit more then I would guess that he would be fine and he could have made some profit but that doesn't mean that he is going to, and we should not be really expecting it to change anytime soon neither. He will retire, and I guess he made many millions of dollars, just have a good calm life from here on out. I do not think that it would be simple for him to be coach neither, not that easy to go from injured to coaching that quickly.
1166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: August 31, 2023, 08:23:50 AM
I have posted this before. The decision to grant the hosting rights to Qatar for the 2022 world cup was a grave mistake from the part of FIFA. There were issues related to poor treatment being meted out to the construction workers, as well as issues regarding discrimination against certain sections of the visitors. Even in 2018, Russia hosted the tournament without any major issues. But that was not the case with Qatar in 2022. Hopefully the 2026 edition would be an occasion where the visitors and fans are treated with respect.
I hope this is the case as this was the most common complain fans had about the Qatar world cup, however there are things that could easily go wrong, the public security at Mexico is low and fans could face some dangers if going there, and while the US will host most of the games there could be some issues there as well, as visas could be difficult to get if migratory laws get harsher and the possibility of an attack against the stadiums will always be there.
I would guess that Mexico ones will not get all that much visitors, not as many as USA ones to be fair. I think it's obvious that we are going to end up seeing USA to get the most visitors out of all three nations and they are going to do fine. This is of course not guaranteed, but I bet that it's not going to be a big deal and we should be seeing trouble on the long run.

This is of course a trouble when you consider that it's going to end up with a cultural resemblance as well, there are tons of western nations going to world cup, and most of the time it's either Latin American or European teams that wins it, and that means cultures are quite close enough, for clothing, drinking, acting, everything will be pretty similar.
1167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 30, 2023, 08:16:56 PM
I would guess that the only way Giannis could go to Warriors would be as a free agent, considering he has just one year left on his contract and by the looks of it Bucks are not getting any better, so he could leave for free and that means we are going to end up seeing Giannis as a free agent.

This could result with him going to Warriors if he wants to, and Warriors could trade some players away to make some cap space but to be fair they do not have much. Not like Giannis will accept just bare minimum salary and just go there, vet min for him would be very tiny, he could keep on making a lot more than that. I think he is capable of getting even more than Jalen Brown at this point so it should be important for him to stay.
1168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 30, 2023, 06:51:12 PM
I would guess that he has some idea that he is thinking about and he is going to make it work one way or another. I am not saying that it's going to be easy for them to make it happen but it's apparently what Arteta wants so the result should be obvious.

When managers want to change something and do a different thing I think it's within their right to do that and if they are right that means they will keep their job but if they do something wrong then we are going to end up seeing them getting fired and that is why I think it's a fair thing to let them do whatever they want, because the yare putting their job on the line each time they do something and they could be wrong and get fired so they must really believe it.
1169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Major League Soccer (MLS) 2021 on: August 29, 2023, 08:50:51 PM
Messi was way too young to be here, he is doing things that MLS fans do not even comprehend because this is the same dude that managed to play so well at Ligue 1 just last season, and I think it is going to be tough for people to realize that he is still the best player in the world or at least high up there. He is only 36 years old, I think he had like at least one or even maybe two seasons in him to play at the top level and instead he went to MLS with all that talent.

This will of course result with him dominating that league for a while longer, it will take a few more years for him to start dropping and having a worse season, it should be noted that Miami will end up getting a lot of cups in the end with him.
1170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 29, 2023, 08:19:02 PM
To be fair PSG didn't really needed help from Neymar and Messi to win Ligue 1, they won it before Messi was there and Neymar spent the season mostly injured as well. It is normal for them to be ready for a season like this and they will win the title again anyway. They are trying to build a team for UCL and we all know that Mbappe will leave, so they are trying to make sure that it goes smooth enough and they do a good job replacing him.

Maybe they won't get someone who is as good, but they will get some good players and I think it should be important to remember that it will take a while before they could end up with a result that is bigger than just ligue 1 title. They are still quite young, they could grow to be better.
1171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 29, 2023, 06:46:50 PM
The Saudi side are really using money to tempt players, Liverpool are not ready to let go of Mo Salah. With the Saudi club splashing £150m for Salah, I mean that's a lot of money to do good business... I wonder why Liverpool hasn't grab that offer after all he only has 2 years on his contract and he's not even that sharp as of before. I don't blame Liverpool because they've already let go up to 5 players if not more.
Should Salah join the Saudi club? To me he should because I don't see any club signing Salah up to £30m from next year... Liverpool need to act up now or lose such offer.
It is a sensitive situation. I mean if Liverpool accepted and Salah didn't want to go, that would mean that you would have a player with 2 year left on his contract that realized you wanted him to be sold. That's not normal, Liverpool is already not doing that well anymore, they are not as good as they used to be, they can't really bother with Salah not being happy at the club neither, it would result with Salah not going there, but wanting to go somewhere else and they would make even less money.

This is why you need to be 100% certain that the player wants to go as well, in this case he didn't want to, and if he wanted to then I bet that Liverpool would have been more than happy to sell him, and get some younger players, a few of them.
1172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: August 29, 2023, 05:59:02 PM
This always comes down to money. If we are talking about poker players maybe they have a chance, but if we are talking about casino games then there is no chance that you will win because of the house edge.

So, the bottom line becomes "are you making a living out of this and making a profit overall?" if the answer is yes then we could say that they could be addicted but also since it's their profession then they may not even enjoy it, it could just feel like a job for them and maybe they rather not even do it, but they still do because they need the money. I have met with a guy who was a professional poker player and he was like that, he wagered online on poker rooms everyday for hours and that wasn't fun for him, it was a job.
1173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to collect altcoins now or later? on: August 29, 2023, 06:51:05 AM
As long as you keep collecting, when you do not doesn't really matter as much as you think. It's going to be fine and you are not going to face that much trouble. The point is to have as much of it as you can and wait with it, when you buy rarely depends because most long term investors will hold it for a long time so it will go up enough.

If you are not a long term investor then there is no need to collect, you should buy it and sell it quickly, so when we are talking about collecting that makes me think of a long term investor and no long term investor should worry about timing. Just buy it, hold it, buy some more, and keep on holding and keep repeating that until the price reaches to a higher price.
1174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: August 28, 2023, 08:08:02 PM
People are overreacting, the team is quite different compared to last year and that's why they are not going to end up getting wins back to back all the time, I think it would be smart to end up considering them the championship contender even with all these games because at the end of the day they are just having their early games and adjusting.

Many players there do not know about the Barcelona football and I think it would be weird if they just came in and started to play amazingly. With all these new players I am sure that they are going to end up being a little different and should be considered a bit different for sure. I think it should be easy to handle all this and could be considered a bigger deal on the long run.
1175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 28, 2023, 07:11:42 PM
They were both quite close to each other in level teams. Liverpool may look like they are not as good as they used to be but they are still pretty good. I am expecting them to do fine and I think they are going to do fine.

It is important to make sure that you are doing as well as you should and not really have any issues with your team, as long as the team is in healthy condition and there is no locker room drama with any of the players, then you already have a chance to win any game, even if you are not a good team, because the opposition may have one of those. Newcastle and Liverpool played very close games to each other and I did expected a draw from this, still wagered on Newcastle but I wasn't shocked to lose that bet.
1176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: August 27, 2023, 08:28:31 PM
I would guess that this wasn't one of the games they should be happy to win to be fair. Let me put it this way, Al-Fateh has a 25 million club valuation with no big name transfers all summer long, and Al-Nassr is worth 200+ million right now. When you think of it like that, they should of course be winning this game easily. Their problem was the fact that one of the teams they lost to had less than 20 million valuation, and the other had 45 million.

I could "sort of" understand the 45 million, but the less than 20 million one should have been a win, called Al-Taawoun. In any case, if this is an indicator that they are going to get better, then it is not going to be an issue and I hope that they do get better about the game.
1177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 27, 2023, 06:26:40 PM
CP3 "was" a top 10 PG, he is no longer there at all and there are plenty of other better point guards right now, the problem is that Kerr may have some problems on the long run if he keeps thinking that he could keep CP3 benched for too long, he is going to be forced to play him and the situation could be decent if curry was a good defender but he is not, he is pure offense type of guy.

What I think he means to do is to get Draymond and CP3 different minutes as much as he can, or even same times for short period of times, and get klay and curry running around and CP3 to find them open, he will be the ball arrier and pass guy, and then find people with open shots. That "may" work, but it is going to be tough to handle.
1178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: August 27, 2023, 05:28:33 PM
Ricciardio broke his wrist because of the crash, and I think it is going to be something big as well, if I am not wrong Albon was the last one that did that and it is going to be pretty similar. You have to understand these guys get a lot of G during crashes and they are mainly holding the wheel (which isn't even wheel shaped lol) during these crashes, and when it happens that means we see them crack their wrist bones due to sudden movement of it during crashes.

That is still an issue, even if their whole body is protected better than anyone else, we have the wheel turning too quickly during crashes that crack the wrist. Instead of Daniel Ricciardo we are going to see Liam Lawson racing this weekend, lets see how he does, I expect a lot from him.

I did not know KAT was Dominican, I thought he was American, interesting, I also did not expected to see Jordan Clarkson too, turns out he was from Philippines as well, I thought he was American too, so many players I thought to be American and turns out not from there and from another nation.

I think it was definitely a good close game, and losses happens it is not really a big deal to lose this game and I think it should be important to realize that we are not going to get that much of a big deal out of this, World Cup should be something to care about but unfortunately USA doesn't seem to care all that much, look at their roster, they do not bring in the best players, so lets see when they will lose out, because I bet that this team can't win it all.
1180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: August 27, 2023, 06:18:14 AM
It is true that Trump is a big name and he will definitely get a lot of views no matter what he does, he could start the whole apprentice or whatever show again and he would get a lot more views now then he ever did back in the day, because he used to be the president. There is no doubt in anyone's mind that he is the candidate for the GOP, he could be in trouble right now with the law but that doesn't mean that it's going to be that easy to handle, we are talking about something bigger.

We should be realizing that it's not going to be that much available situation for me and I think it should be just too obvious to me. He will be the candidate and there is a good chance he will also lose again because of who he is, not who his opponent is.
