11681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: ETC Hashrate climbing steadily on: July 27, 2016, 06:51:18 AM
So the hacked eth still exist? then what did they fork? it's a bit confusing if you are not an expert in crypto and I can say one of the reasons why people are not getting in to it is because of these kind of complications.

Yes in your point of view nothing was solved. Cheesy The hacker can trade ETC to ETH in Poloniex by using the ETC/ETH market. He can transfer back to the Ethereum fork and troll Vitalik once again. It was a very sloppy hard fork they did.
11682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: ETC Hashrate climbing steadily on: July 27, 2016, 06:48:54 AM
Why do you think the hashrate is increasing? The profibility is higher.

The majority of miners don't have any ethics and don't care if eth or etc wins. They care which one fills their bags faster. As long as the ETC price is high, miners will switch to ETC.

If price starts dropping, profibility will lower and people will switch back again. It is not a matter of which coin the miners support. And if they did, the clusterfuck is even bigger than before: "Hey let's hardfork to protect our coins" --> ETC price rises --> "Hey let's forget about the fork and continue on the old chain for a while, as long as the hackers doesn't dump, I can make a bit more mining this".

Yes that is called economic consensus. This is the real consensus because everyone is looking out for themselves and when that is satisfied which ever chain wins will benefit. So it was wise for the exchanges to list the original Ethereum classic. They gave us, the whole community a voice by acting thru trading on what you think is good for yourself, and then what is good for the group will follow in your collective actions. Vitalik wanted a hard fork then Vitalik got a hard fork.
11683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eth will skyrocket the next days on: July 27, 2016, 06:43:30 AM
I think the very same on this.

the dao exploiter is out to screw with eth. what could possibly work better for him than the creation of etc? if he's still out there somewhere I think he's gonna get behind it for the lulz.
Yes let's see what he can do with 3.6 m stolen ETC and a hash rate collapsing of < 4.5%.

Here's a clue... FUCK ALL.

The hash rate is 18% of the ETH and the price is also 18% of ETH. So if the hacker dump, the hash rate will decrease.

If the hacker dumps then all his coins are in the market now. It will affect the price of course. But after the dump he will have nothing on the platform now. I don't think the hash rate will decrease even if the hacker dumps. There is no connection. There are miners who decided to point their power to the original Ethereum classic despite knowing that there might be a dump. That has not stopped them from mining at Ethereum classic.
11684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: ETC Hashrate climbing steadily on: July 27, 2016, 06:39:53 AM
This is good for the supporters of the original Ethereum classic. You have ETC trading at different major exchanges now with Poloniex and soon to follow Kraken and Bitfinex. What is left is a few questions. Who will take over the development of Ethereum classic? Who will fix the network to avoid future attacks and how? Is there a plan to look for the attacker?

11685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETC Going on Bitfinex and Yunbi! on: July 27, 2016, 03:49:23 AM
The bandwagon is in town and is rounding up both the blue and the red team. Seriously though, I wonder how many of the ETC buyers have been BTC maximalists shitting on the Ethereum core project

Yes I have been wondering this myself. I even think the DAO attacker is a bitcoin maximalist who is trying to prove a point. That is why my theory still stands. The attacker will convert ETC to ETH and then dump all the ETH he has for BTC.
11686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC on FOX 20: Holm vs. Shevchenko Prediction and Info Thread on: July 27, 2016, 03:46:39 AM
Looks like Ronda Rousey won't ever have to fight Holly again if she ever comes back. The fight showed how good Valentina Shevchenko has become and maybe a future champ.  Shocking the world was probably a bad thing for Holly she is still inexperienced in MMA and had to fight title contenders, hope for the best for her if she comes back again.

Yes. That rematch will not sell anymore. I think a fight between Shevchenko and Rousey would be better for both fighters if Rousey comes back. With the winner of that fight getting a title fight versus Nunes.

Warren Buffett — 'Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy and Greedy When Others Are Fearful'

But this is not stocks that have the backing of a company that is earning profits. This is only a project that is experimental at best. We do not know if it will really work or not. We do not know if it will be adopted by the mainstream or not. We do not even know the credentials of the founders in the world of business. Do not get me wrong, I have some Waves but that post of yours is simply foolish.
11688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 27, 2016, 03:30:46 AM
I am wondering about the the point of this thread.  Bitpop is a BTC purist and overt Ethereum Hater but now has a moderated thread advocating Eth Classic.

Are you actually promoting Eth Classic or do you have ulterior motives?

Good point! I'm wondering too what the hell is he doing... Knowing the character, the only possible explanation is: ulterior motives...

Bitpop: go back to Paycoin... They are missing your legendary dark humour  Cheesy

He is proving a point that blockchains should be immutable and free from tinkering from the powers that be. Vitalik because of his panic wanted to create a quick solution before the attacker can dump his coins in the exchanges. But this backfired on him because now there are two chains. The way it was done is very sloppy. Now a lot of bitcoin supporters are enjoying this because Vitalik in his quest to outdo bitcoin has failed. So Bitpop started this thread as a "Haha I'm laughing" for all of you. The joke is on you.
11689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: July 27, 2016, 03:19:44 AM
Is there also a light wallet for Lisk? This will make things easier for everyone who want convenience.
Yes.

It is not from the official Lisk Team.
But it is made by Lisk Delegate: "fixcrypt"

https://github.com/fix/Lisk-Lite-Client

Ok thanks for the reply.

Does anyone have any reviews and testimonials on this light wallet? I would like to hear any reviews and testimonials be it technical or not.

Hi. I still have not seen people give a testimonial or review with this light wallet. Can you please tell me if this is good to use? Is it trustworthy? Thank you.

I'm already selling all ETH and ETC and I would like to start accumulating LSK now. Do you reccomend the light wallet or should I use the official wallet? How big is the blockchain if I download it now?
11690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Say it isn't so. ETH needs to fork again. Lol on: July 27, 2016, 03:12:45 AM
What big company and investors will take this seriously now? Ethereum is now a failure in some of the eyes of these big companies. I heard rumors of R3 banking consortium making tests in Ethereum. What will they say now? They will not touch this with a 100 foot pole because they do not want their reputation to be dragged down with this poorly done platform.
11691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH GETTING DUMPED HARD!!!! on: July 27, 2016, 03:08:19 AM
Ethereum developers, the foundation and Vitalik are now laughed at in the cryptosphere? What are the old men of crypto thinking now? If Satoshi was here what will he say to this?
11692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [2016-07-26] coindesk.com] Ethereum Creator Vitalik Buterin Addresses 'Classic' on: July 27, 2016, 03:02:44 AM
I think it's great that he's comfortable with Ethereum Classic project and has no interest in hindering the project. Now if the ETH community can get behind their leader and support that decision it would be great. Be nice to get a little more harmony in that space.

This will be good for everyone. The original Etherem classic supporters should appeal to the miners and mining pools supporting the fork to point their hashing power to the original. Since it is ok for Vitalik to have both chains running side by side then I guess it is ok for their community to crossover and participate in the original and honest chain.
11693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam or not? on: July 27, 2016, 02:59:38 AM
If it looks like a scam, smells like a scam and feels like a scam then it must be. If there is one little funny feeling inside you that says stay away then you stay away.
11694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DAO Attacker Owns 10% Of All ETC on: July 27, 2016, 02:56:15 AM
Can't wait for the dump. When he dumps your ETC shitcoinage you deserve all you get for supporting a thief, and promoting theft.

There will be blood.

Why are you so angry if some people in the community want to support the original Ethereum classic? You do not have to scare them because they are aware of everything that is happening. They were not born yesterday. Maybe you are doing this to make yourself feel better? That is very therapeutic especially in times where you are in panic and anxious. But relax. So Vitalik made mistakes, so what? Everything will be good in the end for both the original Ethereum classic and the Ethereum fork.
11695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH GETTING DUMPED HARD!!!! on: July 27, 2016, 02:49:29 AM

Is this true? This comment will need its own thread because this is very serious. Vitalik out of his panic in getting a fix and a solution before the attacker can dump his shares has made an even bigger problem.
11696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Regarding ETC on: July 26, 2016, 01:40:27 PM

Looking at it that way maybe Vitalik now feels very regretful and dirty for doing the hard fork. He has stained his career and his reputation in the cryptosphere. Now what will happen to the slockit team? They are the ones who started and developed the DAO.
11697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 26, 2016, 01:09:42 PM
What is going on in the Ethereum community? What are the miners saying? They will be the key to victory. The supporters of ETC must appeal to them to find it in their hearts to do the right thing.
11698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Regarding ETC on: July 26, 2016, 12:39:41 PM

Hello Minecache! Cheesy

I am only joking. But anyway that does not make sense. Why would you buy all ETC and sell the rest and then burn the others? What are you hoping to achieve? It will not destroy the chain. It is already living without the Ethereum foundation which is in a better position now. Developers from bitcoin will now finally have the opportunity to develop in it without intervention from an authority.
11699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ARDR][NO ICO] Ardor, or Nxt 2.0, a Scalable Child Chain Platform on: July 26, 2016, 12:30:43 PM
The price made me laugh out loud this morning  Cheesy

Why? Is there a reason why we should be laughing? I think it is still too high to get in at these price. I am still awaiting for it to go down and have a fair bargain before buying.

I kinda expected it to go back down to 2k sat to be honest, not sure if it's gonna get there any time soon.
Also, I am getting about 150 NXT/day forging now, which is awesome

On what basis?

Holding NXT means you get Ardor, the more NXT you hold (the door), the more Ardor you get. This should act to increase demand in NXT, so a falling NXT price right now would not make sense. There may be a sharp fall in price in September running up to the Ardor distribution but they might be counteracted by late comers trying to get in the door through FOMO.

I feel the wider crypto community are ignorant to the Ardor release and many will be waking up as volume increases.

I have pointed out this before that we can use the price of NXT as a barometer to measure the interest in Ardor. If there is not much demand in NXT then we can see that not many people are interested in Ardor. Right now we are seeing that the NXT community got in to buy and hold NXT. We still have not seen outside the NXT community because there is not much chatter in the forum about Ardor. Everyone is busy talking about ETC and before that STEEM.
11700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Only ETC is the real Ethereum on: July 26, 2016, 12:18:33 PM
i'd guess in those circumstances people would be choosing etc as a rejection of the foundation's principles, or lack of them. but i don't think it's gonna be that easy. that's where the brains are and they've got a mountain of free etc too.

Only if they had ETH stored at Poloniex before the hard fork right? Unless I am mistaken.

I don't think the foundation store all their ETH in an exchange.
