Decentralized stablecoins will fix most of the stablecoin problems you mentioned.
I honestly do not like centralized stablecoin too. My biggest fear about them is that they can be used to attack market. With their poor transparency, manipulators could print lots of stablecoin to manipulate the crypto market.
The biggest problem of decentralized coins is they lack founding. Centralized shitcoins ilke Libra will have all the money put into PR and will have their own database of clients from the moment they launch. I am not at all surprised by this decision. Since Huawei is currently in conflict with the US government and the US is putting direct pressure on Facebook to prevent Libra from appearing, it’s logical that Huawei will try to release a similar coin in order to have its trump cards in the trade war with the US government. The planned appearance of Libra has caused a great interest and a strong reaction all over the world, so the Chinese business will not miss its chance for profit. They copy everything that can be profitable.

If Facebook agreed to pay five billion dollars of penalties due to leakage of confidential information about its users, then it is worth it. This social networking giant has a significantly higher profit. But what will happen if the US Congress adopts a prepared bill against the emergence of the Libra coin is hard to say. But you will need to block every ad element seperately. Might seem like a lot of work, but it can be done fairly easily. Simply choose the element you want to block with eyedropper and make the filter. refresh the page a couple times until every ad is gone. But... Only do this if you must. Ads help the forum, and in part often it's users. I think they will make some changes,
but give more energy for their new monster baby called Libra coin.
They know that with Libra they will do all this again, and even more.
They will follow 100% of all users transactions and actions,

I'd love to have an idea where the whole decentralized community will compete with Facebook, it's possible we just need capable developers to set up one social networking site that will respect our data, it's a gigantic task but we are growing as a Bitcoin and decentralized believers.
I don't think we'll compete with Facebook, as privacy concerned users would probably never use them. I'd honestly be surprised to see a privacy concerned user who joins such communities are also active on Facebook or other social media. Unless somehow they use a fake account. On another side, Facebook dominance is really big for mainstream users. And I doubt it will change soon. Anything is possible! - Not so long ago we could not imagine to talk with anyone in the world for free, now we have Viber, Skype, Telegram and similar apps. - We could not imagine Bitcoin could challenge US dollar, but we see what is happening now What we need to do is to make something BETTER than centralized Facebook, then people will slowly switch to. They want to do it because they are greedy and wanted to make more money out of the crypto market. They know that having their own token, they will have total control. That's why many crypto enthusiast are shunning away from Libra.
As far as the Chinese version, I think it wouldn't gain that much traction. Probably in their country, but outside the sphere, this will be just another shitcoin, IMHO.
You know China is a country with one of the largest population on earth, and they have copy clones for every single application available in the western world? QQ and WeChat, (Chinese Whatsapp clone) Renren (chinese facebook clone) Weibo (chinese Twitter clone) Youku Tudou (chinese youtube cloen) Dianping, Douban....
