Hold on a minute, if the CGB Max Coin Cap get raised then it would not be as rare as originally specified if it were still at 2000000... So it will dilute the value of the coin. So what was that a marketing measure to draw people in the rarest coin then change it once it has taken followers? No change, has always been PoS/PoW hybrid - which means coin generation/inflation will continue based on the PoS plus the PoW baseline of .01 will remain. This is why it is and has always been clearly identified on the website as follows (please note the projected supply at the end of 2013 and 2014): Please let me know if you have any questions on this. Thanks!

Removed my suggested list of coins to keep from the OP as this is not for me to decide and obviously a pretty hot topic. I will continue to entrust Cryptsy with this enjoyable task, lol.

While I agree with alot of what your saying (ie too many crapcoins polluting Cryptsy and diluting the market), there is no chance of removing dgc out of the btc market. Dgc practically made Cryptsy in the early days. It actually has a bright future and will move back up in value unlike alot of other coins.
I tried to keep the coins trading against BTC from the > .001 category. I think as coins grow in value, they should move to the higher market. Also a loss in value would move them to a lower market.

Let me preface this with saying that I am a huge fan and long time supporter of Cryptsy. Some time ago, when I was an avid trader at btc-e, I received a 1 week ban from chat. This encouraged me to join the Cryptsy chat instead. I quickly fell in love with the exchange and the community and once my btc-e ban lifted, I did not even want to go back. I moved my funds to Cryptsy and had a new home. Crytpsy did everything right then as a fledgling exchange by adding lots of coins and drawing a loyal customer base. I argue, although controversial, the adding of many coins was/is one of the keys to their success, but not the only factor. They also always had a mod in chat and tickets filed for issues were responded to promptly. The exchange worked great and Cryptsy quickly became a major player, even stole a large number of btc-e loyals such as myself. But at some point in the last couple of months, things have changed and roles have reversed. Why?
I know the Cryptsy team is dedicated and has invested a lot of time and money into upgrades that are being implemented as we speak. I do have faith that these moves will correct any performance issues currently occurring. Additional to these moves, I would like to share a couple suggestions.
1. Cut out the coins you see fit (if this is indeed a cause of exchange performance issues) 2. Make sure the exchange is secure (has not been an issue to my knowledge) 3. Make sure deposits and withdrawals are working flawlessly 4. Tickets are responded to and problems fixed promptly 5. A mod is always present in the chat
Edit: I have removed my suggested "coins to keep" list as this is not my place to decide or suggest.

lots of chatting, no action I'm sure kimoto is working on stuff, however he's not a graphic designer from what I can tell, even though his site is nice first up, I noticed, megacoin.co domain was in pending delete so i purchased it and forwarded to megacoin.co.nz at some point in future I may develop, or happy to donate to kimoto if he would rather use than the .co.nz as a lot shorter and more brandable next up, it's no good waiting for sites to start accepting megacoins without a way to even accept them for free megacoin needs some donate buttons and banners , then the widgets after that I am happy to throw 200 MEC in the pot, if others do too in this thread, hopefully a graphic design member will do the buttons and banners and we can offer them to sites also kimoto can add to a merchant tools page on megacoin.co.nz I would do them myself but am not a graphic designer would be cool to have some buttons with different versions some with the red coin, some with say the silver /grey megacoin on etc for example, here is a bunch feathercoin had done which I think are excellent more variations could be done, better than this I think as nec has a couple of great logos http://postimg.org/image/5jy8ygpc3/anyone else care to add to this? thanks Wow, great way to continue forward! Sidebars, banner ads, donate buttons, purchase buttons all sound excellent I am happy to donate 15,000 MEC towards this project pending outcome, but I'm sure you guys will be up for the task. I can continue purchasing ad space with updated ads, some gifs, whatever your forte! Alienwalkerx, I wanted to chime in on this one. I have to agree with Guido, that 15,000 MΣC is far too generous. I believe Kimoto offered 2500 MΣC bounty for our Megacoin symbol to be updated, and that was when MΣC had almost no value. Anyway, my idea would be to offer a set bounty for these things. We need to come up with a wish list of projects, and what they are worth to us. I have been trading PMs with flayway, and he apparently has a Finnish version of the client in the works, and is also working on a Russian version, and possibly a Vietnamese version. For the last couple, I think he needs help (a possible bribe . I don't think it's fair that you and ethought always seem to be the ones donating all the MΣC. I was thinking we could elect a "MΣC treasurer", and ask for donations to pay out the bounties, and get these things done. This would also give some new MΣC fans a way to earn some coins. If we can agree on some sort of plan, I would be willing to make a donation. Just start a foundation and keep a ledger. You have the community support, just need to put it together

I honestly hope the community is taking advantage of this price point, exciting day are up ahead.
Another dump due to another rise of the price of bitcoin. This is almost the starting price of CGB if i'm correct. I remember .0006, but keep in mind bitcoin was around $100 at that point - so call it 6 cents USD. Currently CGB at about 25 cents USD; so up 400% to bitcoins 100%. Certainly would and will be higher, but not too shabby for a couple months work.

And Cryptsy was kicking MCX's ass a couple short months ago - truly remarkable!

DGC has a lot of potential, just like CGB has.
K.
I know you want it, but DGC and CGB has no any "potential" compared to other shit-coins. (SHIT-coins as for me - all coins, except BTC & LTC) Is this English?
