1181  Economy / Economics / Re: Is poverty a lack of money? on: June 14, 2023, 02:09:15 PM
I see poverty as the inability to provide what you need. So when people assume that poverty is when you don't have money I don't agree. Now what if you have all you need and you don't require money to buy anything, are you poor? Some people live in communities where everyone lives agrarian life. They have all they need because everything they need to survive is available. Food is on the farm, water available and everybody is happy. Although it was hard during the Covid-19 lockdown many people lived without money. I have also seen many people leaving cities and moving to rural areas to live a natural life.

In summary when you have everything you need to survive and you don't need money, are you poor?

Like i also disagree the way things are in this century you need money, there is no way you can have what you need without money been in the picture talk about feeding, owning a house and also wanting to buy a car ,i think money is still involved, you need it to make provision for your need since we are no longer in the stone age you can only make this statement in the stone age,  living a agrarian life still involves money  Grin  what if his child needs surgery you also need money to process that, i know money his not everything but you still needs it. and covid 19 is different, it was because the only concern the government has is the well-been of its people.
1182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kids and Bitcoin on: June 14, 2023, 01:38:37 PM
Your idea is very creative to introduce bitcoin to children. Children really like to read comics. That makes them get to know bitcoin from an early age. But bitcoin comics are perhaps a bit rare now. but you can make sure through online shopping or you can ask the bookstore or comic shop in your area in advance.

I love the idea about the comics it will make them more interested and i give them a better understanding since kids love cartoon, since the brain is still developing, therefore it's another option for the writer to generate money, but the write-up and images can't be too detailed because their brain is still developing and can easily break down the material.  when i saw your comment i was impressed did not think of this, Even in schools, with the help of cartoon graphics, children gain a great deal of interest in schoolwork, especially when it incorporates games and other entertaining activities, and if you can accomplish it, you can pursue the idea.

Newcastle is currently very ideal in showing their performance, plus the financial support is quite large they can do anything if they want to buy quality players. Because the owner really fully supports what the coach wants, it's no wonder that this season, Newcastle have finished in an extraordinary position. Next season, for sure, Newcastle has prepared a far more mature plan than this season, especially when they qualify for the Champions League, it requires more support. Their long-time dream has now been achieved by getting a UCL ticket, which has boosted their confidence. The management of the Newcastle club is not in doubt.

One of the driving forces and motivations behind Newcastle is money, and they have plenty of it, and the way they performed before Manchester United flipped them on the table, they actually did perform well this season, and because they have the money, they can also buy any player they want, unlike some clubs who back out because they always consider their budget. And, given how well Newcastle fared this season, they could do even better next season. I admire the owner's business mindset, since he spends resources to grow his investment, which is good for business. and everyone is expecting a big surprises next season will come with.

Just like many other players, Benzem chose money and he joined Arabian teams when left he is getting old to earn more money there.
I think Benzema made a wise move and Real Madrid should now hire an alternative player for this position. Mbappe is the first priority and I guess Mbappe can fill Benzema's position at Real Madrid perfectly.

That is the best decision for Benzema because as he gets older, he should go for the money, arabs spend a lot of money on sports, just like Ronaldo, and Ronaldo should start thinking about retiring soon, while the mbappe is busy forming a dime God in PSG and the young man knows what is best for him so lets watch and see.

Quote

If Mbappe's transfer to Real Madrid takes place, a football player who will play successfully for many years as Real Madrid Benzema will be brought to the team. I believe Mbappe will outperform Benzema. What he's done for PSG is obvious and he's a perfect player statistically.

The question at hand is whether or not Mbappe is prepared to leave PSG, given all the privileges he enjoys. If I'm not mistaken, Real Madrid was once interested in him, but PSG increased their offer and lost interest in the transfer. There are simply too many privileges for him, and he also has the responsibility of signing players at PSG, and once he moves to Real Madrid, I don't believe he will be given that responsibility.Simply put, Madrid will provide him a greater opportunity to advance his career, but because the young kid desires good money and authority, we'll have to wait and see what happens.

I think, Real Madrid will start experiencing negative things like Liverpool from next season because I don't see any potential players among the players here who can handle that Karim Benzema position very well, and it will take the team a long time before they can get it right.  Martinez is a good player if Real Madrid will accept his past performance to sign him into the team because he is very young like victor Osimhen which he still have more strength to sustain the team to a higher position if the opportunity is given. I don't think, Real Madrid will leave Martinez and choose Kane because by age they still believe in Martinez like someone that will have long strength to perform well.

Since Benzema has already left, Madrid can target young, prestigious players who will eventually be able to stand on their own, and I believe that one position is not meant for one person, I believe that Madrid will eventually find someone to fill Karim's position because even Karim's time is gradually coming to an end because of age so i feel other young players will feel that position well and since Benzema is going to be paid well thats the whole aim (money). I think I will disagree on this one, but I do believe that there is still enough time to know whether it will happen or not, I mean if madrid will improve or not.

Time to get his own flat then. Father is right in his perspective, if he thinks betting is bad thing win or loose doesn't metter . Then son should go live by himself, If he can bet himself he should be +18, he can (should) live by himself too. My Father is not diffrent aswell if I somehow win 100k$ I'm out simple as that. This is our lifes not others. I would not give that money back or donate it...

The boys age is not disclose so we can not really conclude  if the boy is old enough to get is own fiat and to some extent there are limitations to how young people live there life's especially in Africa to some extent we are always kind of way obligated to our parent which is good but has a lot of disadvantage especially in time of making decision, The boy will never forget, and in some situations, I'm sure many people won't return the money and are willing to disobey their father. If the boy were mature enough, I don't think the father would have made that decision for him to return such a large sum of money given the way money is becoming a problem.

I join my voice with those saying it's too early to also say that it's rather too early to start discussing about the eufa champions league for the 2023/2024 season, there are no information of any kind about the game formation available yet, and neither is there any Information on when exactly the tournament will begin, so what exactly are we to be discussing about?

In the end, peeps are still going to continue discussing the happenings In the just concluded season, rather than topics relating to the coming season..

Even though the season is just about to end, i think everyone is already anticipating the 2023/2024 champions league. The way some clubs were playing at the end of this season scared everyone and made them wonder what will happen next in the upcoming campaign. Manchester City actually surprised everyone by winning three titles in a row, so let's see what the other teams can do in the season to come. Let's all wish for a better season next year as everything is just excitement. i don't even enjoy this season again since am also excited for the next season.
1188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: June 12, 2023, 04:42:35 PM
for now, barcelona is one of the clubs with the best squad in the world so if they intend to buy players again, it's just a waste.  What Xavi has to do right now is focus on making the current squad work very effectively.  they must be able to at least win a domestic trophy in the following season and the UCL is one of the trophies that Barcelona must target.

Really, best club in what way, then where do you place manchester city single-handedly won three different trophies the FA Cup and the champions league, and very soon the premier league then what now can you say about Barcelona still being the best club? they are just lucky they were able to gather enough points if not Madrid would have to threaten their winning the La Liga.

Quote
The best in the world Huh I think Barcelona is only the best team in La Liga not in the world because the best team in the world for the season that has ended is the English team that won the UCL two days ago. So how can you say that Barcelona is the best team in the world if Barcelona still failed in the UCL and have to try again next season. After all, the nickname of the best team in the world is a team that can get three trophies like what Manchester City got this past season. Not just one trophy, namely in La Liga.

That was the best remark he could have made—the best in La Liga even for the upcoming season, as I don't believe Barcelona will advance past winning the league this year. Although Barcelona did not do well even in the Champions League, I think by now he would have changed his opinion that they are not the best club. I wish Barcelona luck for the upcoming season and hope they don't lose La Liga too I don't see Barcelona improving like the other clubs. their previous games in the champions league were not encouraging at all.

The Premier League has very tight competition from other teams, therefore teams are required to continue to develop much better.
currently the most competitive league is the Premier League even though man CIty has dominated in the last few seasons but that is inseparable from the strength and consistency of this team which is very good.

The premier league is just not competitive alone but also difficult and the majority of players get injured during the competition, and after every league coaches do review and see where the club's weakness is so that they can buy players that can perform well in position,  Grin manchester city will not be dominating next season am very sure.
Quote
Next season, Manchester City will get more difficulty to protect their crown in Premier League because logically Arsenal would become stronger, same for Newcastle United. Manchester United, Chelsea can get improvement in the summer too.

Yes, Arsenal has improved from previous years, if not for the fact that they lost all seriousness toward the middle of the league, but now that they have tasted success, they will want to improve next year and they shouldn't be afraid of Manchester City any longer. That's all we can hope for because Manchester City cannot continue to rule. The fact that Manchester City always makes Arsenal nervous whenever they play each other continues to irritate me.

Quote
Of course there is no guarantee that Manchester City will be able to maintain what they have achieved this season, because other teams will surely improve themselves even better to navigate the new season to come. On the other hand, even though Manchester City is in very prime condition this season, it is not certain that they will be able to maintain it, because the decline in the team's performance will be unpredictable, we can see from what Liverpool experienced.

The task for Manchester City will not be to remain the champion, but rather to improve as many clubs will do in the upcoming season. Many clubs are willing to spend money merely to boost their team's performance, thus this will be a thorn in Manchester City's side. Since there are no surprises left for this season, everyone is already imagining how next season will be.

My Current Prediction for who to win the Premier League for next season is Liverpool
They had some challenges bit that didn't stop them from scoring goals
Improvement in midfied and defense can give them that Salah should just be fit

I disagree that Liverpool will win the Premier League title in the upcoming season, It's too early to make such predictions, and I'm still perplexed as to why you believe Liverpool deserves the championship despite the fact that they appear not to be taking this season very seriously and have Mohammed Salah as one of their key players right now, I see a lot of teams already haggling for players everyone is looking for the best. I have no idea what Chelsea is doing right now, which is hilarious if I were a fan of Chelsea, I would have switched to a better team a long time ago.
1191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: June 11, 2023, 07:41:33 PM
In fact, Inter Milan was able to keep up with Mancheter City's game, and also succeeded in making it difficult for Manchester City to carry out attacks, especially in defense and also the pressure that Inter Milan put on Manchester City's players when their players got the ball. And Inter Milan also had six shots on target and several good chances, through Federico Dimarco and Romelu Lukaku but were less fortunate.
Manhesyer City finally managed to win the match thanks to Rodri's single goal in the 68th minute, and Rodri's single goal was enough to bring Man City to the Champions League title for the first time.

I thought Milan performed well the entire game and that they were a good fit for Manchester City because I observed how they continually searched for opportunities to score. Before the game began, I actually did underestimate Inter Milan's performance, but now I know they did not just get lucky to play in the finals. At one point, Manchester City players became frustrated because all of their attempts to score  were blocked by Inter Milan's defense.  The frustrating part was when Lukaku wasn't scoring, and based on the statistics, it seemed like the clubs were playing catch-up. Let's all hope for a better season. Manchester City won't take home the Champions League trophy the next season, I previously said that.
1192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: June 11, 2023, 11:17:15 AM
I expected an easy ride for the citizens but my brother warned me that it's not gonna be easy because it is champions league finals
I could not believe, I was still believing that Manchester City will rain Inter goals like upto e goals. But when reality was done on me,I gave Imzaghi an applause for a good team. But I didn't agree to his decision of starting Dzeko ahead Lukaku. I believe it would have been a different finals if Lukaku started.

Quote
Champions League finals are always difficult games, it was clear that both teams were not easy and by the middle of the second half the game was even, then it became clear that City were physically better prepared, even though Inter were losing, they were still defending.

Aside it been the champions league all finals are always tough and the tension is always high since everyone wants to win, and during the second half pressure was coming from both sides and no one expected manchester city to win at that particular time, despite no goals first half I was sure of manchester city winning and their fans are already flaunting their jersey on our faces been the champions of FA cup, champions league, and the premier league now I know why Guardiola is a proud man. everyone was impressed yesterday.

Quote
There were some very dangerous moments that Inter did not take advantage of, and in general City deservedly won, this is a big victory! Congratulations to Manchester City and Guardiola on their victory!

Inter Milan had a lot of opportunities to score but Lukaku was missing all the opportunities to score and one thing with manchester city is that all city players can score they keep attempting until they score and Rodri
score 68 mins of the match that was impressive

Pochettino success become Chelsea head coach and removed two strong candidate with Luis Henrique and Julian Nagelsmann, I think he has show his capacity why Chelsea management priority for choosing as head coach by winning tittle for next season.

I personally think there is no reason to get too excited about coach Pochettino. Just because Chelsea has changed coaches doesn't mean they will play well next season. Coach Pochettino is quite experienced. However, Pochettino was not successful with the PSG team. Despite having many star players, he could not stabilize the PSG team. Chelsea's problems are much the same. Chelsea also has a lot of star players in their squad. And their performance is poor due to poor bonding between team players. So we are not yet sure whether Pochettino will succeed with this team.
I feel since Lampard did not do well I feel Pochettino should be given a chance and Chelsea fans are really excited to see what they will become under his management, his appointment might actually favor Chelsea and his not doing well in PSG might be an experience for him to use as a tool to improve Chelsea, both PSG and Chelsea had a similar issue just that PSG is still better than Chelsea and with time even chelsae will take shape, I also noticed that Chelsea players are finding it difficult to understand each other they have very poor teamwork which is one of the major problems that clubs face. at least Chelsea needs to get ready for next season and prepare well if they want to survive.
1194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: June 10, 2023, 09:20:39 PM
As a fan of Inter let me say that I don't know any more worse attacker than Lukaku, holy f*ck how can you lose two sure goals with just 2 meters of distance. Not his fault though,it was a dream night for Ederson the goalkeeper of Manchester City which made some fabulous saves and it did not wanted to go Inter way, even Dimarco hit Lukaku which was again the person to remove the equalizer from Inter hands.

On another note congrats to Manchester City, they finally made the triple and won the Champions League for the first time,it was very well deserved for them.

Sorry for the loss but I was actually impressed with Inter Milan's performance and as for Lukaku I feel he was under pressure and the game was looking more fun even Milan's defense was tight making it very difficult for manchester city to score and one thing I notice with manchester city is that once they score one and they noticed that their opponents are also good they start protecting and playing a very defensive game even Foden lost good opportunity to score if inter milan can play like this I think they still have a better chance next season to win the champions league and once again congrats to the city on their victory.
1195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: June 10, 2023, 08:28:50 PM
Okay, so I must admit; Inter Milan has been playing much more better than I had expected or perhaps, Manchester City isn’t playing as good as they normally do? Inter Milan has been playing really well and also trying hard to defend against City forward.
So far, Manchester City hasn’t managed to score a goal just yet. Haaland had a good opportunity in the 27th minute and the first major chance for Manchester City but was stopped by the goalie.
I actually did expect Milan's performance to be good since they were playing against manchester city they really need to prepare and train well, from the look of things manchester dominated during the first half, and am sure they will still do the same during the second half but the most important is that am expecting goals in the second half, manchester city is always surprising people during the second half, lets all wait and see the outcome.

Quote
yes I think I actually did expect inter milan to play this way and playing against manchester city will need serious preparations and training

I did think Manchester City would have managed to score a goal but Inter isn’t having any of it. Good game for both sides. 0:0 for now.
I hope De Bruyne doesn’t have to leave the field cause of an injury.

I am impressed with both of their performances and since there have been no goals, I'm just too confident that Manchester City will win. Guardiola used an impressive formation by focusing all of his energy on the attacking, and now everyone is looking for a goal and all of his attempts from Manchester City are failing, even though he is beginning to worry. at this point, I wish both clubs the best of luck and even Haaland is not giving the slightest chance to play well.

To me, Man U and Chelsea could be arguably compared together, after all, they are rivals, and if you could remember, Man U was facing exactly the same thing Chelsea is facing now years ago and was able to move out of it in about a year ago while they still have a lot of work to do. Chelsea however is in the woods and coaching might not be the major issue now but moving in and out of players to almost completely change the narrative and the orientation/psychology of the dominant ones.

it's true that manchester united also fucked up last season and now Chelsea is also occupying the same shoes, manchester united own did not get worst compared to that Chelsea who narrowly escaped relegation, since they have gotten a new coach I just hope the presence of the new coach will improve the performance of the club, due to the fact that the coach will need time to identify the club's weaknesses and suggest improvements.

As for Lampard, I don't know why the guy would be ridiculing himself, his contract is only till the end of this season, it's too short for him to even breathe not to talk of making impacts. Lastly, it's not a rumour that Mauricio Pochettino is coming to Chelsea, the guy has signed 2 years contract already and will resume on the 1st of July.

The frequent changes in coaches have impacted the performance of the club, but strategies have been developed, and I hope the two-year contract will benefit the team and sign in good players. Lampard is lacking in some areas, but I believe with time he will improve. I'm also confident that Guardiola did not start out well in his career before becoming the best.  I will keep saying that next season is going to be hot am sure of that.
1197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guilty of promising not to gamble for specific days but back next day on: June 10, 2023, 10:14:56 AM
I did it many times back when my addiction is very high, I promise not to gamble after I lose a big amount I even swear that I will not, but the following day I'm back even promising to be better and not lose a big amount again.
That's just human nature for you; after a loss, you might make promises that you won't keep. For example, after promising yourself that you wouldn't gamble the following day when you start seeing a game with great odds, you'll undoubtedly try to boost your confidence and realize that there's a chance to win big. Sometimes, all it takes is taking a chance to become wealthy other times, you might just get lucky. I know a few people who make big money from gambling, but gambling addiction is risky. knowing people who make money from it I also know people have lost everything:Smiley

How many of us are guilty of this?
Even though I only play for fun, I can relate because I enjoy getting codes from various prediction sites. However, I have stopped trusting them because I almost always lose when I do so. Instead, I make my own predictions and accept responsibility when I lose. It will be harder to predict games now that the champions league and premier league are coming to an end.
1198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: June 09, 2023, 08:33:58 PM
Manchester City are the clear favourites for the final match. But I don't think it's that simple. The Milanese are very good this season.
I don't think Manchester City will get an easy win. Everyone is talking about the fact that the Citizens need to win and that could play a cruel joke on Guardiola's charges. Overconfidence never helps in matches like this.

I think the Milan side will be in the right frame of mind and won't lose at least in regulation time.

Everyone is putting inter Milan in the shadows, since everyone knows Manchester City has the quality and strength to win and for a very long time now Manchester City has been wanting to win the Champions league, and is not going to be an easy bone for Manchester City to chew but Manchester City always finds its way out no matter how tight the situation is and am sure Inter Milan will put a very beautiful effort in tomorrow's game, and Guardiola always surprise everyone the man is full of strategies and that is why Manchester City fans are always  confident, we all hope for good game tomorrow.
1199  Economy / Economics / Re: Going to war means let's ulter the economic progression on: June 09, 2023, 06:33:00 PM
The degradation of environment is also there if war happen and this is major effect on agricultural produce leading into the food shortage and insecurities around that.

It has a very broad impact. Addressing the environmental impacts of war and conflict is also critical to ensuring food security and people's well-being. I think there should be strong efforts directed at conflict prevention, peaceful resolution, and post-conflict reconstruction, with a focus on restoring agricultural systems, promoting sustainable practices, and supporting farmers in rebuilding their livelihoods. In my view, why should it be fast. pity the people there regardless of the underlying reasons, By mitigating the impact of armed conflict on the environment, we can strive for a more sustainable and food secure future.

Food security should also be taken into account, and first and foremost, war should be avoided by all means. That is why no one was happy when Russia waged war against Ukraine let's pray that war should be avoided. In addition to the environmental impact, the mental impact is not to be overlooked because it affects a lot of people and then structures. When I read or watched a documentary about how many people died throughout world wars, I nearly broke down in tears. These countries primarily want to demonstrate who is more strong while oblivious to the repercussions.  and another impact is the economic impact after the war comes restructuring just to restore normalcy.
1200  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin for HODL on: June 09, 2023, 05:06:53 PM
Hello everyone!

I'm new here and I'm happy to write here finally.
Bitcoin has always been an interesting topic, when I first heard about it because I'm a friend of savings and store as value.
I don’t have much Bitcoin but as we know: not much Bitcoin can have much value in a few years. It is all about HODL.
WELCOME on board I actually know you while you're here and there's enough information here. That's one of the most fascinating things about Bitcoin being a store of value because when the market goes up, your value will go up as well. On the other hand, it has its drawbacks because once the market goes down, your money will start dropping. If you have any extra cash lying around, you can use it to invest in Bitcoin because the more you buy, the bigger the profit and the most important thing is to HODL no matter what the circumstance may be.
Quote
I have read a lot of topics what's important to save my Bitcoin from hacks and after storing it on Blockchain.com wallet, I have decided to send it to my own wallet.
Not my keys, not my coins is an important advice. We need to be very safe to avoid getting hacked because coins stored on a centralized exchange are keys held by operators, not customers.

I have decided to select Electrum wallet because Electrum wallet is Open Source and is developed by a very experienced coder team for a long time now.
In my opinion, we need to reward such coders by deciding for Electrum, like I've decided for Firefox instead of Google Chrome because we need to support unique coder teams, like behind Electrum and Firefox.

I will try to collect more Bitcoin, save it carefully and HODL it, because in my opinion, Bitcoin is a very promising investment.
That is one of the best decisions you can make about Saving your Bitcoin on the wallet and you made the best decision in selecting a very fine wallet, the popular saying on the forum not your keys, not your coin, what happened with FTX should be a lesson to many and the annoying aspect of it all is that people don't learn a lot of people still keep their money comfortably with exchanges but sometimes people will learn the hard way
