121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What makes a good bettor? on: August 09, 2020, 06:38:39 AM
-
But if a person is betting on horse races, does the person need to know a lot about horses and horse races or can one be a successful bettor based on other things?
Of course, you have to know which horse you're betting at. Not sayin' that odds doesn't help, but it is better to know at least, necessary stuff about those horses, same thing with jockeys -- maybe previous games or their background is more than enough. As it would give you another layer of assurance on which to put your bet on.

Is it about knowing how to bet or what you're betting on, what do you think? And do you think betting something a person can become good at or is it that there's a low probability of there being people who bet successfully on a regular basis and these people just exist?
Nah, they don't just exist Grin. Bear in mind that, sports betting or that horse race game isn't a game base on luck. It is something more than what you think  Wink.
122  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos Withdrawal Fees Rise | August 2020 🔥 on: August 08, 2020, 04:19:57 PM

That is why, it would be more appropriate to withdraw at least 0.03 - 0.05 amount of bitcoin on a regular basis whenever the mempool is congested.
It is supposed to be when mempool is "not" congested, right? Or did I have the wrong idea?  Grin
There is nothing we can do but wait until the mempool transaction declined or cash out big.
It is better to wait, than to risk insane fees. And so far, this seemed more practical, in my opinion, specially when you're not rushing anything. Since it will be confirmed, after all.

-
It's bothering but understandable, fees are based from the network and casino house are mostly relying that from the situation.
I agree, it is just an assurance for your transaction to come in no time on its designated address. Besides, if you're not fond of converting your stuff into altcoins (since it is an extra work, or for whatever reason) , then better take into consideration what @Maus0728 said above. It will be just a waiting game, you're going to deal with  Wink.
123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why most people think Bitcoin is a scam? on: August 08, 2020, 11:39:43 AM
-
No matter how crypto enthusiasts try to convince people to believe that Bitcoin is legitimate, everything seems to be the same. I'm starting to wonder why most people have this kind of mentality towards Bitcoin? After all, the pioneer cryptocurrency is being traded at legitimate exchanges. Even some governments have been collecting taxes from Bitcoin. But that hasn't changed people's minds about it. What are your thoughts? Huh

Apparently, you don't have to worry 'bout them all the time. As long as you did your part convincing 'em about the possibilities this industry has, then I think, that is more than enough Wink. You cannot persuade everybody here specially those dubious as long as they're not willing to take risk or even try at least some stuff here.

Usually people think that Bitcoin scams because most countries in the world have not legalized Bitcoin, the number of crypto
projects in circulation mostly scams and still a few merchants that accept Bitcoin payments. All the things I've mentioned
make up some people think that Bitcoin is a scam.
To sum up, this answers all:
The conclusion is that there are still many people who lack information regarding Bitcoin.
Because usually, they're heading out to faulty generalization since bitcoin is commonly tied up to scammy activities.
124  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Nauusong "easy-money" on: August 08, 2020, 09:40:19 AM
So, parang cover up lang nila 'yong item para makatakas sa legalities, right? Since, pyramiding is illegal. Saka ang money game pa rin naman nila is 'yong referral thing behind, or let's say na lang na, huge portion nung kinikita nila. Pero kasi 'di ko maisama 'yong relevance ng item sa potential na kita, eh hindi naman ma-benta 'yong iba doon unless it has a name na in the market.
I don't think "cover-up" is the right wording for that kasi legal naman talaga yung mga networking companies dahil may binibenta silang product, what makes them attractive though is yung commission basis nilang earnings para sa mga magiging members/sellers nila. Ponzi schemes/pyramiding schemes on the other hand just offer up fake investments without any products pero meron silang similar structure ng commission katulad ng networking kaya nagkakaroon sila ng similarities. At totoo yung sinasabi mo na yung mga member nila ay mas kumikita pa sa referrals kaysa sa mga produkto nila but it doesn't make their company illegal dahil ang pyramid type of referral commission itself isn't illegal kaya malaya nila pwedeng gamitin ito.

I see then. Thanks sa input, I'm not aware na gine-generalize ko na pala. I even see Avon, saka Tupperware (which is another mlm company) na matagal na nag-ooperate dito sa pinas. So it was really a thing na pala dati pa, 'no? Though hindi naman sila as bad as pyramiding na walang product, however hindi siya effective or efficient pag-kakitaan lalo na pag na sa pinaka bottom ka. Funny thing is, my mom was an Avon salesperson dati, now hindi naman na. I told it about her, and kaya pala 'yong mga na sa taas ('di ko alam kung may certain na tawag doon, pero pag-palagay na lang natin na boss or recruiter) is 'di nabo-bother kasi ang concern lang nila is maubos mo ang inventory. So even though may mabenta ka or wala, they still have "porsyento" pa rin naman sa kinuha mo.

125  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Online transactions and house bill #6765 on: August 07, 2020, 05:23:16 PM
Parang yung propose law is napaka anti poor.

Hindi naman na talaga efficient 'yong iilan sa mga 'yan magtrabaho, to begin with. I'm not surprised though, they will always loop something into their own benefit, so pag-walang kabig 'yang mga 'yan alam mo na... walang matinong output 'yan. Saka 'yong word na corruption is something broad, imo, possible na may perang involve, manipulation or a favor.

And tell you what, you will be surprised pa sa mga susunod na papatungan nila ng tax.

Regulations can be good, but online gambling shouldn't be overregulated, let alone prohibited. Not all countries have land based casinos, and those that have them, don't have them in all regions. Some people need to blow off a little steam once in a while, and online gambling sites are among perfect places for doing so. The thing is that the so-called "gambling addicts" would not turn into "normal citizens" overnight, if there were no gambling anymore. Rather, they would become drug addicts, alcoholics, dangerous criminals, you name it. When there is a limit on how much can be staked online, it's equivalent to "no gambling" for such people. I would think twice of where it could lead to.

I agree, man. Well laid out. Their idea seemed a bit going overboard, in my opinion. Besides, it will always be the individual's responsbility whether on how much they can spend in such matter. Although, their concern is somehow good (plausible enough, atleast) however I don't think that it is applicable in this case  Grin.

Yet grizz has a decent leeway to win and that is why they would probably either get 8th or 9th and go to that 8th vs 9th new thing, the other would could be either Portland by the looks of it or Spurs, right now both of those teams are playing very well but unfortunately both of them have a very difficult path as well with the schedule but I think that makes it even more fun to watch Cheesy

The perks of having a good standing before the 8 games to finish the regular season idea come off  Grin, so, still... chances of maintaing the least spot is relatively high than those teams beneath them. The problem with Grizzlies is that, they were on lose streak and most of their defeats were just a close game which is quite bothering.

And yeah, they were all interesting to watch though. I still have my hope on Grizzlies to maintain the spot. Even though they seemed messed up there   Undecided.
128  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Protect Your Account on: August 06, 2020, 02:27:26 PM
Also, enable additional security such as 2fa in the email used in this forum. And use different email and passwords with accounts on forums or other social media.
And then I suggest not to use the Secret Question in Account Related Settings.
-
The reason for not suggesting the use of secret questions may be because, this feature will automatically lock the account when trying to recover passwords using the Secret Question Method. Because I have experienced this, when I forget my password and want to change it, then I use a secret question that I have previously set, the result is my account is locked.

2FA email might be very helpful for securing email, I have also implemented it.

I was going to ask on why enabling secret question wasn't a good idea 'cause it confused me (when it was designed to help you for retrieving your account password), and then I see this. Thanks for the input though. I was wondering few days ago if I should make one for myself but I think, I should withdraw from doing it so now  Cheesy.
129  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Warning: SEC issued a warning against FORSAGE! on: August 06, 2020, 08:49:58 AM

At least you did your part na.

Code:

Damn, thank you so much dito. Minsan kasi mahirap pag sasabihan mo lang without anything at hand na ipapakita sa kanila, they'll be mad at you lang kasi may benefit pa silang nare-receive kaya siguro 'di pa nila naiisip 'yong potential effect nito 'di kalaunan Undecided. So baka sakali rito, you know... baka matauhan or magtigil na sila.
(I'm going to save this one na)

Technically guys pyramiding and Multi-level-marketing are the same in terms of concept, the only difference is MLM/Networking companies are selling with real products kaya nagiging legal yung kanilang business.
-

So, parang cover up lang nila 'yong item para makatakas sa legalities, right? Since, pyramiding is illegal. I don't even consider this close.

If you will be looking at the game again their coach are lineups are like a preseason team. Giannis is in the game for what? Like 20 minutes and he's done. I think the reason behind this is just that they wanted Brooklyn to take the 8th spot and for them to have a smooth run in the playoffs, what do you guys think?

It could be though. But do they even really need to go to such length? I mean, they were good enough to beat whatever team might take the 8th spot, in my opinion  Undecided. Anyway, they still show great gameplay despite Giannis limited time  Grin.

One more thing, funny thing I stumble upon while looking for some news between the two is this (can't help but to share):
Quote
Garrett Temple said the Nets saw the Rockets over by the pool yesterday. Told them they had the Bucks and apparently gave them some tips on how to beat the Bucks.
Source: https://www.google.com/amp/s/clutchpoints.com/nba-news-rockets-dish-out-details-nets-how-beat-bucks-disney-world-resorts-pool/amp/

It seems like, it works out  Grin. But nah, just kiddin', and I won't even say that it was a real deal game, if Bucks weren't even letting out their two main guys for long.

so basically I lost $100k+ and I need to recover it someone especially since much of that were loans I took out.
This is quite huge losses and I can't even imagine how much this value could be done to my life when I get a 100K USD. The scammer was very luck having that fast and easy money. Anyway, I am also interested on how will other users react to this post? I know that this might be not true but if this really happening then what could be done here by this user?

Damn, that was huge, assuming that his narrative was true. Anyway, what else can be done than to move on? Bear in mind that, bitcoin transaction is irreversible, so there's no chance of him getting it back, not unless the receiver are willing to pay him back which on his case won't be happening.

Well going back to OP. The music seems uplifting enough, at least for me. I don't know if listening to it would work for the others though but it is good anyway. However, benefits there are just temporary it might heal what has been damage but still there's no progress happening, and so the best thing to do is to move on and get back to work (here, you'll be able to get your money back, little by little)   Wink.
133  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Nauusong "easy-money" on: August 04, 2020, 11:28:32 AM
Seriously 12% additional cash-out fee? Damn if ever na maximum na kitain mo with or without referrals is 3,000 (this might even take a year to fulfill) then you could only have 2640 and the 360 pesos na fee is ilang months mong paghihirapan?! Damn..

Not sure kung in general ganon or baka may iba pa. It was a part of her (my fb friend) screenshot lang 'yong nakita ko haha  Grin.

I mean it must be the same kasi they had a name of a company registered yet they've used a different one in one of their services. It's just too sh*t and somehow dapat ireport na din. The link of review you send also indicates that they said in the app that they are a "corporation" yet doesn't have any valid registration with the SEC.

I'm not aware sa mga pasikot-sikot sa mga ganiyan. And I'm not sure if appropriate i-report agad? Parang mas better if tatanungin muna sila regarding sa ganiyan, right?

Here's their contact btw:
            Trendy             SEC

One more thing, I tried to explore 'yong buttons under sa guidelines nila pero it always lead me sa top page, mukhang 'di naman existing 'yong nilalaman non  Sad, the same thing 'yong sa about button nila (it wasn't working). It seems dineploy na nila 'yong website nila even though 'di pa complete or let us say, 'di pa totally fixed lahat.
134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: August 03, 2020, 03:35:15 PM

Chances also that these teams wants to prove they are better than the number 8.
They want to keep on winning against them to get that one chance to steal their spot.

Yes, Grizzlies have been doing well. Perhaps they are also considering to not be pressured so much right now. Keep their full strength until they go head to head for whichever team they will go against.

Must be tough. I'm curious which team would you bet on to claim the 8th spot? Me, well I'm still rooting for Grizzlies despite their two defeats, since it was just a very close game. And they must be troubling about it  Undecided.

And so, I am pretty sure they will do much better on their next game though. They just need to improve their defense (this is where, I think, they were lacking)  Sad. On the other hand, their offense was no doubt great, they can score pretty well both behind the arc, and inside as well, won't deny that.
135  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where do you see Bitcoin price by the end of 2020? on: August 03, 2020, 01:28:57 PM
As the title says, what is your prediction of Bitcoin price by the end of this year (2020).

Will Bitcoin reach a new ATH?

I don't really expect anything big from the market to happen in this year. And contrary on what's really happening, I rather presumed btc price to be somewhere below $8k, given the circumstances we are facing right now. However, market still shows positive movement though, obviously, but even so I don't foresee new ATH by this year. But it is good if it happens though  Tongue, it is just kind of early considering that halving did take place recently.
136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [experience]; In one family all professional gamblers. on: August 03, 2020, 08:51:30 AM
I can't believe that there is kind of family like this. 'Cause you know, usually it would be your parents who would be the first one to discouraged you on getting involved in any kind of this activity. I must say, they were cool  Grin. I'm pretty interested to know their history though; how they start, or did they have huge conflict once about gambling, biggest winning, something like that.

As for your question, well I haven't seen anyone similar with the family you mentioned. And I also do not expect any of my friends to have a family with a same manner as your friend... you know, gambling here in the country I'm livin' in isn't a big thing, to even go further with such situation  Tongue. Anyway, please let us know their history, I'm pretty sure they have a good story   Cheesy.
137  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [How to] Detect and recognize projects on: August 03, 2020, 03:06:17 AM
It is not easy to know whether a project is a scam or not. Do some research to find out if the team in this project is real, and if they have any kind of palgiarism. But I don't think that's enough. Because those of us who have been involved with crypto since the ico hype of 2017, have seen how ico owners have run away with investors' money. Not all of them were fake teams.

Finding team members whether if they were real or not doesn't guarantee the entire credibility of the project itself. Plagiarims, on the other hand, is very essential point, if you spotted it, you should avoid the project as soon as possible, much better if you'll remind other participants about it.

So, it takes much more than checking teams to successfully avoid scams.

And so I agree with this. Every point that was been discussed in OP is very important. However there were still some necessary stuff you could add upon your investigation  Tongue.
138  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Nauusong "easy-money" on: August 02, 2020, 04:57:50 PM
Waste of time lang talaga panonood nung video, mas malaki pa gagastusin mo pambayad sa net compared naman sa monthly income mo diyan  Undecided, lalo na if typical guy ka lang 'di sanay sa mga refer thingy na 'yan. And, nakita ko lang sa story nung classmate ko before, may 12% fee sila ata if ika-cashout mo na 'yong kinita mo. So, imagine, you managed to reached 500 PHP (na kadalasan minimum amount pag magwi-withdraw ka) eh may deduction pa na 12% para sa fee, so mag-uubos oras ka ulit, and another gastos pa specially if 'di ka naka wi-fi, para atleast ma-cover mo 'yong minimum amount para ma-withdraw 'yong money mo.

I look around to find some reviews rin 'bout them, and nakita ko 'to: /trendy-unlimited-trading-corporation-review/. Since, MLM company sila, to add lang, magandang read 'to: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5116935.0 on why we should avoid this sort of thing.
139  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [MEGATHREAD] Pilipinas Coronavirus/COVID-19 Thread on: August 02, 2020, 02:32:22 PM
Noong una, kailangan pa ng dalawang negative swab test result para i-declare ka na recovered which is very expensive on the government's side.

Government pa natin? Ganiyan naman lagi, they would always make something na magbe-benefit sa appearance nila  Undecided. Anyway, same thing with me, kahit naman kasi anong option ang ilatag nila, 'di na mawawala 'yong risk diyan, it is just that we're running out of space, and materials na rin.
