121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much you earn in bounty hunting for the year 2019-2020 on: July 24, 2020, 07:29:56 PM
Let us talk straight. In this trying times some were coming back here in the forum knowing they could get hope to join in bounty hunting and to earn tokens by which then converted to btc then fiat. I know of this because I myself was a bounty hunter before and doing odd stuffs and then I quit due to the fact that many projects do failed or they did not pay and make a good exchange for their tokens rewarded.

Since I have been long gone into bounty hunting(earning tokens) I want to know if bounty hunting promoting an ICO project still earning. How much was the highest paid to you from bounty projects? (for the year 2019-2020 projects only.)

I participated in about 15 bounties in 2019, but it was two of them that I actually got some manageable amount totalling $500.  Unfortunately 2020 has not really been a good bounty year for me.  I just participated in a bounty recently which lasted for 12 weeks, at the end of the day with my telegram and signature campaigns, I only got $18.5 for the whole weeks, so disheartening!!
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pi Network is at 5 million users on: July 23, 2020, 07:36:04 PM
Pi network started back in 14 March 2019. 5 million user within less than 2 years, is a big number. However, they have not yet listed their coin in exchanges for some unknown reason. 2 years of mining with no return doesn't look good and less attractive.

I too have earned few thousands of pi token from my mobile since last year but I don't know what to do with this since I can't sell those  off.

Do you have any idea when they will be listed in an exchange?

Exactly, I have even uninstalled the app on my phone.  What's is the essence of increased users without any hope of the listing at all.  I have stopped wasting my time mining that Pi, it's not even withdrawable.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum remains the king of altcoins on: July 23, 2020, 07:06:25 PM
We have etherum bossing altcoins since time past and there has been non replica of any coin that has tried bossing etherum
Just like bitcoin is a king on its own, etherum remains a king on its own too.

Looking forward to the influence of bnb tokens, and okb tokens can have on etherum dominance.

Yeah it is of a truth that ethereum has been dominating the altcoin section for a long time, but I could remember sometimes that Ripple has also tried to overtake ethereum, although this wasn't lasted more than few hours.  There are also other altcoins that are doing well, for example Stellar.  Ethereum needs to continuing developing/improving, otherwise overtaking is very possible.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paying low fees in Ethereum - Gas Limit, Gas Price and Gwei on: July 22, 2020, 02:45:49 PM
Some time ago I participated in an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) and they defined the following parameters for Eth contributions:
Maximum Gas Price: 50 Gwei
Gas Limit: 150 000
I made a little research to learn what these attributes means.

Gwei, Wei and Ether are different unit measures of the same thing.
1 Ether = 1.000.000.000.000.000.000 Wei
1 Wei is the smallest unit of Ether, as 1 Satoshi (0.00000001 BTC) is the smallest of Bitcoin.

All computational work of running Smartcontracts or transactions in the Ethereum Network are paid in Ether (Eth), which is the fuel of that network.
Gas is a unit of measuring this computation work, which is usually measured in Gwei.
Some amount of Gas is charged for every computational operation in the Etehreum Network. For example, and addition costs 5 Gas.

Gas Limit and Gas Price attributes define the total cost of your transactions, according to the formula below:
gas limit * gas price

Gas Price: Amount of Gwei you are willing to spend per unit of gas.
Gas Limit: Maximum amount of units of gas you are willing to spend on a transaction.

From my ICO example, if the Gas Price is 50 Gwei and the Gas Limit is 150.000, this transaction will cost 7.500.000 Gwei (or 0.0075 Eth).

To determine what is the gas price, just check out this website
https://ethgasstation.info/

Thank you, I do enjoy these analyses.  But why is gas price really high now on ethereum blockchain despite the fact that the ETH price is not really increasing. Is the ETH block chain malfunctioning or deliberate.  Transactions I used to do with $0.02 ETH before has turned to $0.2 even more. I think something needs to be done about this.
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoCurrency Test and Fun. on: July 22, 2020, 02:29:13 PM
Let's check new test about cryptocurrencies. Fill the answers and collect maximum 28 points. Its first edition maybe soon also in video form.

I hope that during this test You will have some fun dont take it too serious ! and for next eposiodes we want invite other coins to main theme.

Best Regards.

Sorry to say that, I don't really see anything tangible here. What's the usefulness of the testing and the point you're collecting? The whole thing just look so childish to me anyway.  May be you can move the topic to off topic or thereabout.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CMC: Top DeFi Tokens by Market Capitalization on: July 21, 2020, 08:49:15 AM
Coinmarketcap now has a display for DeFi Tokens by Market Capitalization.

It's just how they define tokens to be DeFi though, And do you think it's a complete list or something is missing? I think this is great though, specially for those who are not familiar with this new hype is crypto market, so good job CZ (although sometimes I think he is becoming too powerful!).

That's a good list from cmc, though I didn't even know DeFi Tokens are really much in numbers like that. I have really learnt from that.  I so much believe the Oikos will move up the rank very soon.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How possible is it to make a living trading cryptocurrencies alone? on: July 21, 2020, 08:32:47 AM
Can someone make it trading only altcoins?

This is very very possible friend.  There are some people that do not have another job, their full job is daily crypto trading.  Crypto trading is a job on it's own and someone can decide to take it on a full time.  I am telling you if you have ample amount of money to trade with caution.  You can make it within short period of time.  So one can make a well beautiful living with crypto trading.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fiat vs Crypto in money laundering on: July 20, 2020, 04:27:30 PM
Hi guys I just want to share a short prove showing that Fiat is been used more in money laundering schemes than crypto and if people attacks you with crypto's being used to launder money. Refer them to this article on ccn
Fiat Money Outpaces Bitcoin 800:1 for Money Laundering

https://www.ccn.com/fiat-money-outpaces-bitcoin-by-8001-for-nefarious-activities-report/

In my opinion, though it's been a long time money has been laundered through fiat, but I think the emergence of crypto makes money laundering easier.  Considering the anonymity nature of crypto, Someone can have like 1000BTC in his or her wallet unannounced, unlike fiat where there would have been lots of uproars.  But because the adoption of crypto still at a minimal level, fiat is still considered the most form of money laundering.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: It's always about your choice on: July 20, 2020, 04:04:43 PM
What makes a bounty manager better? It's not about the success of the projects they introduce, it's about

1. How the handle the campaign
2. It's about fulfilling what was promised to bounty hunters
3. It's about fighting the fair fights for bounty hunters

The success of a bounty project is not in the hand of a bounty manager, the ball is in your courts, you are responsible for the bounty projects you choose, if they fail it's never bounty managers fault. Always remember this.

You're very right about your points but I don't totally agree with them.  While a good bounty manager is respected for doing those three points you mentioned, you cannot be saying it is not the responsibility of the BM to bring in good bounties, I don't agree with that point at all.  Fine, it is the responsibility of the hunters or investors to do enough findings before taking step, however, BM that also brings in successful projects are highly respected.  What is the essence of a useless token/coin paid into my wallet.  To me, BMs that manage "LOTS" of unsuccessful projects are neither good nor reliable.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fill your bag with caution on: July 20, 2020, 07:09:10 AM
There have been so many posts on the forum suggesting that it is the right time to fill your bag, I quite agree but then, you need to fill your bag with caution. There are so many projects that are dead already but pretending to be alive using the bear season as an excuse for now. The team behind most of them are just looking for a way to dump on you trying to make you understand that they are working round the clock to develop the project, a project they have all the time to develop in the past but could not, now they want to develop, hmmm, what a way to full the people.

The bull run will surely expose all of them, trust me, some of them are smart enough to understand this and that is why they are trying every means to fool making unrealistic promises in order to dump on you.

My candid advice, before you invest in a project ask yourself;
1. What are the benefits of this project to the world and the future?
2. In the next 2 to 3 years, will the working product still be relevant?
3. Who is the targetted audience? Do the targetted audience really need this innovation?

Exactly, very good observation from your side.  I want to believe for everyone who had been in the space for a while will not just invest in any project without concrete research.  However, to the newbies or inexperience ones that are not even ready to do one or two findings before investing, you are strongly advised to invest in the projects that are already established in the market, for examples #1-10 on the CMC
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Indian institute of Science helping make Blockchain for Businesses. on: July 17, 2020, 08:09:54 AM
Privacy-centric blockchain has announced that they have expanded their academic presence bringing on a new strategic research partner: the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. This global initiative now supports 3 university partners to further accelerate academic research, tech development, and innovation in blockchain, IGAs, and cryptography.

https://medium.com/concordium/the-indian-institute-of-science-to-join-concordium-academic-council-ba53b3b0722f

I know that several major universities are already doing further research and work for blockchain technology, and IMO, this is what will help us take this technology to the next level. Thoughts?

This is a very good news to hear.  I believe academic institutes are now seeing the reality and the use case of the block chain technology and also optimistic that more institutions will also fall in to this.  However, I just hope this will not just remain a news, because we've heard and read news like this before and nothing was heard about them again.  It is the wish of everyone in the space that crypto/block chain technology get huge adoption across the globe.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Impact of USDT in the Crypto Market? on: July 17, 2020, 07:55:57 AM
As of today, Tether's USDT stablecoin is the world's third-largest cryptocurrency by market cap. It experienced an unprecedented rise since the COVID-19 outbreak took the world by storm. Some say that USDT is being massively pumped on the market by the Tether company itself. With shady operations such as lack of transparency, I wouldn't be surprised if USDT goes down the drain sometime in the future.

The real issue is not USDT itself, but rather its impact on the crypto market in the long term. For now, USDT has a positive impact over the crypto market due to the extreme hype surrounding stablecoins and "De-Fi". But if USDT is being artificially pumped, the effects won't last for long. Imagine if USDT goes all the way to $0 in the future due to a large government crackdown. It would turn out to be completely disastrous for the entire crypto market, since it's directly linked to stablecoins. At least, the downfall in crypto's prices will be in the short term. With USDT censoring people from getting access to their funds, anything could happen in the future.

What impact will USDT have in the crypto market over the long term? Will it be a positive or negative one? What if governments find out that Tether is a scam? Being the world's third-largest cryptocurrency in market cap, a full government crackdown will turn out to be a huge blow to the entire crypto/Blockchain space. Thoughts? Huh

Anyway, what I know for now is that, USDT as one of the stable coins has been so much beneficial to the crypto market.  Investors have been using it greatly for transactions most especially when the market price dump.  But if its values has been manipulated, I wonder how long they can keep to this, then if this is bursted, lots of investors will definitely agonise.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reversible crypto transaction is no more impossible on: July 16, 2020, 09:44:09 AM
I've always thought that reversible crypto payment or transactions is impossible but now not anymore, an Israel based startup project called Kirobo is looking to change the impossible to possible.

Kirobo has recently established a new method of reversing what were once considered to be “irreversible” bitcoin and cryptocurrency transactions. The method known as “receivable transfer” allows a person sending digital currency across the blockchain to another address to cancel the transaction granted they sent the money to an incorrect location.

https://www.livebitcoinnews.com/kirobo-introduces-new-reversible-crypto-transaction-technology/

Sounds awesome right? We still have more surprising use case that you can never think of, I hope developers can start using their spare time on something better

Nice one, if the implementation can be possible then it's going to be good for everyone because many assets have been lost due to irreversible transactions on block chains.  But I don't think this is possible yet, one still need to be careful with transactions until this is fully implemented.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunters complains and they listens on: July 16, 2020, 09:19:15 AM
Many bounty managers don't like listening to what bounty hunters have in mind but this won't stop me from saying the name of two bounty managers that listens, they believe in fairness and good contribution of their bounty hunters

1. Bubbalex

A cool headed guy who spend time on projects and he is never in rush bringing new projects to his BHs, even after finding one he still warns bounty hunters not to trust his judge that he might be wrong. once too many people are joining his Campaign he always brings a limitation rules up.

2. Bounty Detective

Bounty detective are doing very good this year, they take their job very seriously and right now they are taking distributions of every bounty projects into their own very hands meaning they are using escrow, bounty payments are guaranteed

These two bounty managers listens to the audience and once too many participants are joining their campaigns they put up a stop to registration depending on the max worth of the bounty allocation.

I will definitely like to add more but these are the only two bounty hunters that I have something to say about presently

Honestly if you lodge complaints with some managers, they just take hunters for beggars, very disheartening.  Some will even say they don't care for shit in as much they get their pay every week.  And these people were hunters in one time or the other.  BMs should show good attitudes to responsible hunters and should not be thinking that they are begging for stakes.  Both of us are important for a successful project.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fiat vs Crypto in money laundering on: July 16, 2020, 09:07:33 AM
Hi guys I just want to share a short prove showing that Fiat is been used more in money laundering schemes than crypto and if people attacks you with crypto's being used to launder money. Refer them to this article on ccn
Fiat Money Outpaces Bitcoin 800:1 for Money Laundering

https://www.ccn.com/fiat-money-outpaces-bitcoin-by-8001-for-nefarious-activities-report/

Definitely, fiat currency would have been used more for money laundering.  Let's consider the fact that how many of those laundering money were involved in crypto?  Definitely none or very few.  It is possible in the future that there is a turn of table if those people adopt crypto and get to know that it is easier to launder money with digital currency than fiat ones.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading competition, a plus or minus on: July 15, 2020, 07:45:44 PM
I am not creating this post to engage in argument but to voice my opinion. To some some people, trading competition is a good strategy to increase the prices of coins, at first it may appeared so but in the end, trust me, it is the surest path to crash. Every single person in trading competition is there to make profit, no one is ready to lose,  everyone is waiting to pull out at the slightest opportunity either to make profit or to stop loss. Now you know why the price of such coin will go down below normal. It might also interest those participating in trading competition to know that it might also be a way to dump on you. No one is saying you shouldn't take part in trading competition but be smart. Everything that appeared to have advantages have also got disadvantages. I asked if is a plus or minus, I guess you know the answer by now.

To me, I see trading competition as a contest mostly in favour of those that have much to put into it. I stand to be corrected anyway.  Because I did not have much to put into it, I occasionally participate in it.  For those that are into it, it is a good way of making profits.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: New projects team failed to listen to advice about bad exchanges on: July 15, 2020, 07:27:26 PM
Some projects have good use cases but they ruined everything with a simple mistake of using small exchanges for fund raising, exchanges like p2pb2b, vindax, exmarket, sistemkoin won't do any good, what's more surprising is that majority of new projects don't like listening to advice, you warned them about these exchanges but they still go ahead of use these useless exchanges and in the end they will say they failed to raise funds, who is to be blame for this?

Projects listing or raising funds on big exchanges is not easy at all, very costly.  That's why some projects chose small or shit exchanges for listing at little or no cost.  In the other hands, some project team also chose them in order to carry out their underlying scam related motives.  For example, they can just dump their team tokens and run away any time.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto mass adoption closing in on: July 15, 2020, 09:11:28 AM
Very pleasant news to hear anyway.  I want to believe that all these and many more positive moves to create mass adoption for crypto will definitely come into reality, because we've heard of many news like this that later died down.  It is the joy of everyone in the space for news like this to come into reality. Kudos to Binance and everyone making efforts in the mass adoption of crypto.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sometimes late bounties can still pay rewards on: July 14, 2020, 07:04:15 PM
the project you promote 2years back can still come up and give you awesome reward, delays takes place sometimes that makes project team keep postponing listing on exchanges,  imagine promoting a project in 2018 paid you big reward in 2020 after you've already zero your mind that it's over? I want bounty hunters in the house to verify this, true or false??

Anyways, do not underestimate projects you promote a year or two years ago, they can still pay up and secondly do not leave or exit their telegram channel no matter how many years it's been, if you do you might be denied of your rewards

This scenario was the exact thing that happened to me on Invox Finance.  This was a project I promoted back then in 2018. I've lost all hope on it even forgotten that I have such token in my wallet.  Just recently, Invox was listed on bancour exchange and week later it moon.  I was able to realise about $300 from it.  Never lose hope totally.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you come across any of these points you have every right to be suspicious on: July 14, 2020, 06:34:32 PM
Most especially for newbies, be curious and suspicious when you come across these in crypto space projects

1. Cheap website design of an IEO project, most especially the blue like website that's very common since ICO days for example https://pzmcash.com

2. Teams can hardly take good pictures, I mean team pictures that looks too blurry on IEO project website, how hard can it be that team can't take neat high def pictures of themselves?

3. Team using same picture of themselves they used on website on their social media profiles like LinkedIn or Facebook

4. Team decide to stay anonymous

5. Team using crappy exchanges like p2pb2b or vindax or latoken and they start claiming they sold out, when was the last time that projects sold out on these shit exchanges??

Very good points made.  There are many salient red flags one needs to just observe very well before taking any move.  I have always been so careful of believing it when projects said tokens sold out especially on bad exchanges  you pointed out. I have always taken any project planning to list on Vindax exchange to be scam.
