121  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Nakakabahalang balita mga kabayan. on: December 20, 2023, 09:24:33 PM

122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think that this is aperfect analogy of how gambling addiction starts? on: December 20, 2023, 08:55:18 PM
Read this transcript of Andreas Analogy of how gambling addiction kicks off and tell me if you think he is right or not. Basically, your opinion.

Gambling is a tax for people who don't understand the mathematics of probability. If you understand how probability works,  you can't ever rationally gamble. The only reason you would gamble is if you decided, "I am going to lose money; the fun I have while I am losing money is worth it." "I am paying a fee for temporary fun." But most people cannot do that. Once you become drawn into the game, the gambling process triggers these responses. You start getting confirmation bias, selection bias, and survivor bias. These are known cognitive biases. The person who wins thinks they were lucky, but they don't think about all the times they lost. As you are doing this, it is triggering your dopamine centers.
I think that definitely that's the perfect analogy I have ever read and I couldn't agree for more. Those biases are clearly the indicator we get drawn on it, it's really not noticeable but biases live upon us day by day not just in gambling but even on information we get especially nowadays in social media.
123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Michael Jordan a gambling addict ? on: December 20, 2023, 08:34:22 PM
I was recently arguing with someone whom stated that MJ is a gambling addict, and I pushed back.  I think we could probably all agree that being addicted to anything is never good, no matter what it is.  Michael is famous for being a big gambler.  However, it's not like that's the only thing he does in life.  He's a billionaire with many companies and countless things to do each day. Gambling doesn't effect those important things in life.

He takes care of his family, far from broke and gambling brings him entertainment.. so my question, would MJ be considered an addict?  I argue he's not.  He just loves to do it, but any negative effects may be literally zero ..

(sorry hilarious and cyrus, I know you see this same type of topic a trillion times a day but this is bit different and something I'm truly interested in discussing, being his situation is unique).
Was this somehow connected to the stake he sold for his team at Hornets? Well, he made a ton of profit on that and I applaud him for being a good investor. I think he's the definition of the gambler who knows his limits and probably was more cautious than any gambler that I could have seen. I think it was explained before especially on his movies that he just loves competition on whatever he's venturing.
124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has gambling ever whispered you with different strategic prediction measures? on: December 19, 2023, 09:24:11 PM
Since gambling is most based on luck, who else has ever wanted to set your eyes close while you hits the slot or taking your predictions with the believe that.... "Your eye sight has failed you in number of times at when believing that taking your time and plays according to your heart desired based on sights satisfactories was to be the best for you"
Then probably sometimes you want to try a new trick by closing your eyes while picking your predictions or hitting the slots.
Probably that happens before but I think that matters, luck based gambling are way too random that even with that kind of trick it wouldn't change the outcome if you hit that button to play. Closing your eyes, gazing away while picking, asking your friend to play the button, Eeny-meeny-miny-moe, etc, whatever you call it, it wouldn't matter in the end. If you win because of that it was just more of a placebo effect on your part.
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Injective Protocol Ecosystem Airdrops. Anyone?? on: December 19, 2023, 01:56:21 PM
I'm also using https://coinhall.org/ again, although I previously favored Terra but you know what happened.

And recently with the development of Injective, it is not excluded that this service will carry out airdrops in the future, and currently, according to what I observe, some development teams are also gradually moving to coinhall to work.
Thanks for sharing it here with us @bluebit25, that's a great addition. Well, there's the thing with inscriptions as well and it was likely the cause that there has been a pause on withdrawal on some CEX with INJ, TIA, etc., and wallet like Keplr has recent issues because of it. Not familiar yet with coinhall and likely with these stuffs, they're new but I think they're worth exploring.

Good luck sa journey mo dzypher at anong mga feature ng Crest ang sa tingin mo may edge compared sa ibang mga wallet na kadalasang ginagamit natin? Are you somehow a Filipino right? Just want to know kasi parang hindi naman translated yung pagkakasulat mo rito.
Yes i'm pure Filipino, born from Ormoc City Leyte in visayas. Sorry medyo mas mahina ako sa tagalog kesa sa english eh. My native language is Bisaya kasi kaya ganyan, anyways Crest will be a crossborderless Wallet. You can simply create a wallet that is web3 without any storing any seed phrase or such, pwedeng gumawa ng wallet using email lang. Yung maganda rin is transactions fee are covered inside the wallet. It means walang transaction fee sa pag transfer and such. As of now it is deployed on the base network pa po.
Oi kaganado man pud, harani lang ngayan ta hahaha.
Waray ka pala, built it from scratch then yung investment nakin dito is yung pag purchase ng physical server then yung mga pa kape kape sa mga meetings just to market the wallet. Yes maliit lang talaga fees ng base but using the wallet will get rid of the fees as well as signing upon transaction. So parang pa pindot pindot ka nalang talaga without worrying sa fees and signing action.
Who knows hahaha. Para sa akin worth it yan especially if mag scale rin yung base chain, pero para sa akin, mag scale ito considering na backed sila ng Coinbase, mukhang gearing up towards palang sila sa mismong mainstream adoption. Thanks for sharing it here at nakita ko rin isang topic mo at the journey how you survive at commendable yan para sa akin, keep on going, you're making a change, you're making others proud. Sana wag mo kalimutan ang forum na ito as a stepping stone, claim it na lalago yung Crest.

128  Economy / Speculation / Re: Share your opinion on the market. on: December 16, 2023, 09:28:20 PM
It seems to me that before the halving the bitcoin price may fall again. Now the market situation is a bit like 2017, when everyone was also waiting for bitcoin etf, after which the dump happened. Maybe that time the price is also rising because of etf expectations.
Speculation about market conditions that will experience a decline is predicted to occur again. Possibility after possibility in the price of Bitcoin can still occur. However, what you need to think about is how much correction will occur while waiting for the ETF to be approved.
If the current price of Bitcoin is still at the price level of $42,387 and is able to stay at $40k until the end of December, then in January 2024 we will find new speculators regarding the potential price of Bitcoin.
It's either we go down to $40k or to as high as $50k. I think that's what speculators are seeing in this market right now. Although end of November and early December we have a huge run, nearly going to $45k and it's been a long time since we see this price.

However, this week we have a minor correction, we did go down to $40k, but bounce back very quickly around $41k-$42k. Maybe we will see a sideways till the end of the year or just go back to what we want the price to see at the end, $45k.

But if we look at the market, it's obvious that we are in a bullish sentiments and investors do love to see that kind of mentally.
I'm gonna speculate first that we will gonna be touching first the $50k before we have the major correction pre halvening. Still we will remain bullish but as the saying goes it's not a straight way to the top there will always be some detours for us to buy at a discount and for me that's the best chance we could ever have before this bull run go all out.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Injective Protocol Ecosystem Airdrops. Anyone?? on: December 16, 2023, 08:20:00 PM
You can use perp exchange Helix: https://helixapp.com/, I used it a month's ago and it made me eligible for Pyth airdrop, which was completely unexpected.

Fun fact: Back when I used it, I was in dilemma whether to long $osmo or $inj, I longed osmo meanwhile $inj is 15x since then.
Really new to this and thanks for stopping by and the tip this will be good for those who wanna farm through these airdrops. Yeah, INJ has been in a good run and already did a 6x and for me that's a huge indicator that it would be good in this bull run as well.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Injective Protocol Ecosystem Airdrops. Anyone?? on: December 16, 2023, 09:30:52 AM
May I know here what are the projects you're farming on Injective Protocol lately? I think Injective will be huge next year and want to maximize the opportunity to farm some projects that hasn't launch their token yet or was still at Testnet or those who confirmed an airdrop.
131  Economy / Gambling / Re: tell me the best online casino on: December 16, 2023, 07:59:56 AM
I want to play online casino which has the following criteria,
1. of course not a scam online casino
2. there are slots, roulette and versus (player vs player) games
3. there are deposit bonuses and free spins for new players
4. there is a daily bonus (points or free spins)
5. easy and fast withdrawal process (doesn't have many rules)
For 2,3, and, 4 that probably where it's get complicated especially regarding PvP considering this doesn't attract much in the long run even poker seems to be overlooked from time to time especially with the presence of bots nowadays. For 5 I think all casinos tend to have improved in this aspect but somehow depending on the network as well that you'll try to withdraw/deposit to when it comes to execution.

133  Other / Archival / Re: New strategy for casinos! on: December 15, 2023, 09:24:35 PM
So after mixers got banned, there will be a need to fill their empty space, soon we shall see new casinos coming in to play to compete with current services, so I'd like to suggest to the currently active casinos to start hiring the best quality posters with competitive payments to win in the race of the best, just like bitmixer and chipmonkey plus other mixers did in the past to stay relevant.

Or there is another option, you can all migrate to another forum just like what mixers are doing, though there is no guarantee that you'd succeed over there, because guess what? Satoshi's legacy is right here, and just like the Bitcoin which was the prime alpha, still is and will remain so if God wants it, this forum will also remain the alpha among all crypto communities.

That's why there is no worthy adversary for this forum, just like there is no worthy adversary for Bitcoin.😉

Let the race begin!

Edit :
I think the forum was already in the race in that for years but I don't think a casino would pay like what the mixers did to their participants. They already established their market and that's already fine to the masses and just like other businesses they want some discounts if they wanted too especially in advertising.
134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 15, 2023, 08:26:32 PM
Great and impressive win by the Clippers, even without PG, they defeated the Warriors. Although Golden State make it close in the 4th, but they didn't have the defense inside as they allow easy shots to Powell.

I was also impressed earlier, I mean, they are doing what the fans expected them to do because they have all the necessary players to dominate the other teams and they winning 7 straight right now which indicates that they are going to have a playoff spot if this will gonna continue. That would be better than not making it despite they have this great player with them. I really hope they play like this because those 4 players are one of my favorites when they are playing like how they used to be in their early years in the NBA.
Was about to bet for the Clippers in this game but forgot they got a game for today but anyways congratulations to them for winning and looks like their streak will continue. I think George will be able to return in no time and glad that wasn't a legitimate injury once again or it could salvage again their team.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Myria - thoughts? on: December 15, 2023, 03:02:35 PM
Price is now up to £0.012 so am currently 10x up on my investment which is great but still yet to take any profits.

Not sure if I am being too greedy but feel this is early and can easily do another 10x from current price which would give me a 100x.

Anyone else invested?
I think Myria will blow and it will be huge imo and if your initial target was really 100x then why not stick with it until the end? We aren't yet in the bull run and gaming sector is likely still be a top contender in the upcoming bull run so better hold on them. Well, it's not bad to take profit or get your initial investment and let the other tokens play along.
136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers trickily claims they wins the bet while they never did. on: December 15, 2023, 02:17:04 PM
Don't be deceived, not every gamblers who actually claims that they won really won.
Some falsefully speculates that they won just because they want to pave an ease to those who has been advising them to quit or limits gambling simply because the gambler has been unlucky to win instead he keep betting over and over without a good bankroll management in their gambling carriers.
They basically do this because they feels disturbed and inconveniences of the people's opinions and advices towards the gamblers unprofitable gambling experiences
Well, then let them dream maybe it's just their way of easing their way about their losses or they are fond of flexing their gains on social media even though if computed they are still at loss. We will never be able to restrict them for that so it's best that if just let them be, in the end of it doesn't affect you directly then why bothered?
137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Target your wins in a series of bets on: December 15, 2023, 11:31:57 AM
One way of approach is to focus on winning certain number of bets in a series of bets. For instance, you can target to win at least 4 bets in a series of 10 bets with the odds being at least 5 odds. This way, you can lose 6 times and win 4 times yet you still remain highly profitable.

This is my approach and through it, I don't get depress over few loses. This method works for me and I feel it will also work for others. Your opinion are highly welcomed.
That probably be possible but you wouldn't know the outcome if you'll really hit that bet, that will totally depends on the odds/multiplier that you use in the end that matters. Well, a balanced mindset of the player will matter here too because you probably overlook the series of bets here if you already got 7 streak loss and you want to fullfil that 4 bets of winning. It's a matter of discipline.
Discipline only comes into play when the player is focused on stopping his gambling session after staking 10 games. Which is also a great strategy for any gambler who wants to manage his money. Risking our money with the strategy that promises 4 wins after playing 10 is not realistic. More like hoping that after 10 games the player is sure of winning 4 times. This mindset will easily get broken and the player loses control after 10 plays with no significant win, up to 4 times. He'd want to try until he hits at least 8 wins after playing 20 games. Believing maybe that luck wasn't on his side. Strategies like this don't fit right for any type of gambling, but sporting games are quite preferable for it. Using it on the slot will only cause the player to lose more and get disappointed for not winning the same way as OP promised. However, the goal is to remain as cautious as possible and these strategies most often fail the gambler.
I still believe there are gamblers out there that as discipline as we think they are, this might be possible on play that requires analysis but for those games that are based on luck, I don't think so. I like what you said about gambling to save money but in the first place it's still gambling, betting on low odds when lost are great loss but I'd say it's more preferable to those who want to defend their bankroll that much.

why don't you design your thread to look attractive?
please buy member copper so you can post pictures here, I see your telegram has a lot of subscribers and a lot of views, is that real?
I think we've heard that too many times but that isn't a requirement to meet everytime a newbie post here with a new thread, that's not mandatory. They'll improve it if they want it. Glad to see the honesty and dedication but you really need to tell more about your site in here, some kind of introduction for people to know your casino more.
140  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: IMPORTANT: Ledger ConnectKit Library has been Compromised with a drainer. on: December 14, 2023, 02:49:10 PM
I don't know if I'll be affected on it but when I saw the news I definitely run to revoke.cash and definitely I get to signed there but then suddenly it goes with another website so I closed it like "Vercel" or something, can't remember. Do I have to worry for that?
Imo, As long as you didn't sign any of the prompts, you should be good to good. Unless you signed any message or interactions with your signature, you should be good to go. But still, remain vigilant till we have a full report.
You mean if I didn't signed anything like the "signed message" that we see on our wallet? I think I did, because I was on the right site of revoke.cash but then suddenly it goes for another site and it asks to login with my GitHub etc., monitoring my wallet but nothing is happening at the moment, do I have to move anything then?
I would switch to a secure wallet so I don't have to worry about this anymore.
The drainer doesn't come from the signing message but was on the WalletConnect modal and the drainer was faking that popup modal with different appearance during the dApp connection phase. I already identify that during my interaction with revoke.cash they already made the site offline but I'm still being vigilant for further announcement.

Not necessarily I would switch considering there has been some staked assets on my wallet and the advisory that no interaction yet on any dApps means I won't be able to get them out as well. Still monitoring the incident and glad we have huge helpful community not just here but on Twitter/X as well.
