always the same thing. Someone comes here, says that there is a profitable coin , and then expects the others to believe it. I've heard of "profitable" coins like the one you are saying for years. But noone knows which is it, which algo uses, which exchange works with it, if it's safe or not to mine that. If the wallet can be hacked.  it doesn't appear anywhere, it's not known, it's a shitty coin (100% sure), and you have to have an special exchange that trades it for cash.

I just don't care if there is or there isn't a profitable coin right now. I'm not into mining anymore. But for the most part, all profitable coins are being mined with ASICS which makes it impossible to mine with GPU. If you are mining a coin for 400% profit, well done for you.

if you are getting 0,40$ per card, while i get 0,10, thats 400% more. But the result is that you are poor , and mining will not help you with that. So good luck with your 400% profit.

 

a 6gpu 187mh/s on ETH uses from 820-860W from the wall. RX 580 and 570.

with 0,08$ per kWh you are getting a profit of 0,76$ a day more or less. 0,76/6 = 0,12$ per card per day even if those cards do 31,5 which is the normal performance of RX 570 and RX 580 (unless you have a crap model or you fucked it hard modding it).


so stay with me: the cheapest price for RX 570 is around 100$. provided you buy 6 that makes 600$ for the gpu cost. if you make 0.76$ per day, you need like 790 days to ROI. And this time is only for GPU ROI. You would have to also ROI the PSU, cpu, ram, mobo, risers, and all of that.

I undestand people who got into mining back in 2017 or even Q1 of 2018. But now, you have to be really, like really dumb to enter this market with current conditions and prices. It makes no fucking sense, it doesn't matter if you go for high or low efficient gpus. The profit is just laughable.

You will mostly have to hodl , paying bills from your own pocket and expect the market to go up to try to recover your investment. Let's not talk about "real profit".

So no, it's dumb to buy gpu nowadays. Don't do it.

the market is going to collapse. Yesterday, 10th of April 2019 i said at 11:00 PM that we were just 24-48 hours away from a big crash of 15%. ETH is already at 9% drop and it's going to continue to drop, because the market and manipulators works this way.

For them to win money, the market should be moving. it doesn't matter if it is up or down. They need to pump or dump coins in order to keep it moving. if after a good rally, there is a 24-48 hours with flat prices, this means that those willing to buy, had already done it, so one is going to do it. So this shows up as the way to establish when to sell.

If i would have had my coins of the past, just with today i would have won probably like 1.000$ easy. It's so easy for me to predict this ups and downs. it is what it is, and this market will never ever see the high prices of the past. Indeed, i think ETH will not go over 250$ this year at best.

mining is not profitable. Is it worth keeping them on for 40$ a month?? let's say 100$ a month?? I don't think so. So better to turn them off.

i paid 30$ for an Asus P5QC, 16$ for a Xeon X5460, 10$ for 4gb ddr3, and 30$ for a pcie to 4pcie card, and this rig  mined for months with 6gpus rock solid and all cards well above 31mh/s so performance was incredible for this cheap.

 

how fast?? Well, i know this for a fact.

I bought back in september 2017 5 RX 570 8gb Sapphire Nitro + (the best RX 570's and 580's on the market right now IMO) to complete my rigs. i paid for them in refurbished state (they were like new no problems at all), like 220€ each, around 250$ from the biggest retailer here in Spain.

They worked in a room of my house with temps between 20 and 40ºC. the only card that needed to rump up the fans was an MSI RX 580 8gb Armor that needed just around 65% to keep it below 70ºC working operation. Most of the RX 570 nitro+ need just about 40% fan to be around 50ºC working temps.

Now, on Ebay, there are authentic bargains. Brutal ones. I had the oportunity to buy 4 RX 570 sapphire Nitro+ for just about 80€, 90$ more or less. Brand new, in the top of the madness January-April 2018, this cards, brand new were above 300€.

So prices are going down. I had an emergency plan considering the worst condition i could think off back in November 2017. I knew the market would collapse. my contingency plan considered the market to go down by 70%. Never thought it would go below that. It went almost 90%, which left me with no time to reaction.


If (for me it's very unlikely), the market just pumps and holds for some time, we will be seeing our cards gaining huge value. But mining nowdays makes no sense at all. Specially now that summer is comming. In Spain, i live by the see, and the have lots of humidity and high temps, some days, above 40 with temp sensation of over 44ºC so mining is not an option unless it's really profitable, but it's not.

mining is nonsense nowadays. You can get more coins buying them then mining them. The psicological reason why people mine at a clear loss considering what i said before, is that they have invested a lot of money. Turning mining rigs off and buying coins is like accepting a fail for that investment.

It is what it is. People continue mining so as not to get frustrated with a failed investment.

Summer is comming. There is no economical reason to continue mining. Heat is going to harm you life , specially if you have your mining rigs inside your house. The best option right now is to turn them off unless prices skyrocket. only in that case i would even turn them on.

Since that is NOT GOING TO HAPPEN not at least in the next 2 years, your machines are just ok off.
