121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: April 23, 2024, 02:21:27 AM
I believe PSG is an overall better team than Dortmund and should easily win over them. PSG are the top team in Ligue 1, they has defeated Barcelona in the quaterfinals, which is a second team on La Liga. While Dortmund is the 5th team on Bundesliga who defeated Atletico Madrid which is the 4th team in La liga. Every stats shows Dortmund have an easier path to semifinals.
Having better squad did not help PSG to win Dortmund in group stage and it is not good for their mentally support before two semi final matches. I know big difference between group-stage matches and semi final matches but their previous two matches in this season, are good evidences that Dortmund are not a weak opponent for PSG. PSG in theory are stronger but they have to do a lot of things to beat Dortmund in semi finals.

Quote
The Munich vs Real Madrid would be the ultimate battle. The winner of this high stake match would be the favorite for the championship title.
Bayern Munich and Real Madrid had many matches with each other in the past and they are very traditional successful clubs in Champions League. It's hard to predict the winner between them but it's interesting to see Bundesliga have another season with potential to have two clubs in Champions League final match. Many years ago, Bayern Munich met Dortmund in Champions League final, will it repeat this season?

There are supporters of Bitcoin community in the Congress and Biden can not only ask his party mates in the Congress to kill American Bitcoin mining industry. He will not get enough support to pass such a bill. He will not win no matter how hard he tries to do that and I believe he does not aim at killing American Bitcoin mining industry.

Tax, he and his administration want to get more tax for the nation from American Bitcoin mining industry. He can achieve it but he will not achieve a target to kill this industry, even he wants it.

If Bitcoin miners migrate from the USA. to other nations, the USA. will lose significant tax resource.

This implies Xabi Alonso has ambition on his managerial career, not just a job for a living. He is succeeding in his first tenure to improve Leverkusen to a level that possibly he himself didn't imagine. Now he and his players have extra ambition to win the league with a loss to make a remarkable record on their names.

This ambition needs a strong mentality to fulfill, because it invites all eyes on them to beat. If he can fulfill this ambition, he will put his name alongside some great manager in this era. Being Champion in a league without a loss had done by only three teams in Europe. They are AC Milan managed by Arigo Sacchi, Ajax Amsterdam managed by Louis van Gaal and Arsenal managed by Arsene Wenger.
Xabi Alonso and Leverkusen will be marked in history if they can finish this season unbeaten in Bundesliga and can win Europa League too. However it is too ambitious target and it create so much pressure on shoulders of Leverkusen players. The season is long and I am quite sure that Leverkusen players as human, surely feel tired at some days. This body physical exhaustion will affect Leverkusen players so Xabi Alonso must be realistic with his plan for very last matches in this season.

Winning Europa League and accept to lose one or two matches in Bundesliga is better than losing Europa League and complete Bundesliga with an unbeaten record.
124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: April 22, 2024, 02:39:03 AM
After today's victory of Real Madrid in El Classico, they are one step closer to lifting the title. They need only two victories and a draw in the remaining six games to be declared champions.
Barcelona will have most likely a big zero season with nothing to win. They were close to get a draw against Real Madrid tonight but Bellingham late goal made them unhappy.
With this defeat in El Clasico, Barcelona nearly officially lose La Liga title to Real Madrid. It is only matter of time and Real Madrid are counting down to lift the La Liga trophy. Barcelona have no chance to beat Real Madrid in La Liga title race after this direct defeat. Even a draw already isn't helpful for Barcelona so a loss is a worse result for Barcelona.

With this important winning, Real Madrid from now on can fully focus on two semi final matches with Bayern Munich in Champions League. Their opponent Bayern Munich, will not feel happy with this result of El Clasico.
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 22, 2024, 02:36:21 AM
It's too sad to see Arnal in this situation. After losing the Champions League to Bayern Munich there is a negative atmosphere in this team.
Areta decided to put some players for sale because he thinks the need to get improve and this will give a big chance in Arsenal. On the other hand, the sad news for Arsenal is about their player Takehiro Tomiyasu, This player is injured and even in the game against Wolves in which Arsenal won the game with a 2-0 result, he was absent nut absence of this Japanese player can have a negative effect for Arsenal in the next games they are going to have.
It is not wrong movement at Arsenal as if they realize their weakness, they must figure out ways to fix it like through training current players or to replace them by new players. If a player is at a club for some seasons but still can not improve himself, finding a replacement is not a bad choice.

No guarantee that replacements will perform better than current players but it is worthy to try with careful works from Arsenals' scout team and their head coach Arteta. Big problems for a club that are competing well in big competitions like Arsenal are it's harder in transfer negotiations. Other clubs will see demand from Arsenal and try to bargain for selling their players at as highest costs as possible.

Last challenge for Arsenal is don't break their player salary ceiling too easily because it will put their club finance into bigger risk and unsustainable conditions.
126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 21, 2024, 01:46:01 PM
The FA Cup trophy is a smooth path for Manchester City as an outlet for its failure in the UCL. Roll Eyes
It is not an equal replacement for Champions League trophy but winning a trophy is better than nothing. Manchester City will try to complete this season with two more trophies, Premier League and FA Cup. It won't help them to forget about failure in Champions League but two more trophies will be better than nothing at the end of season.

Arsenal didn't get a disappointed result this time around at least, after two losses I was scared that they would get another one, and looking at how things are going it doesn't feel like it was a disappointing one here. I do hope that they do better eventually, it just doesn't feel like we are talking about a situation that would be weird.
They definitely disappointed with defeat in Champions League and they can not deny it but they shown that they are strong mentally to bounce back shortly after that. This winning yesterday in Premier League means a lot for them, first to get out of their negative sentiment as side effects from Champions League, and more important securing their chance to chase Manchester City in Premier League.
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's Next for Bitcoin Enthusiast on: April 21, 2024, 01:35:21 PM
Can we call someone who is mainly interested in the "price" and bull runs a "bitcoin enthusiast"? That sounds more like fiat enthusiast, but I suppose it is OK as long as price is not the only thing that person is interested in Wink
It's right that those people are more keen on getting profit from Bitcoin by their trading, speculation or investment. It does not mean they do something wrong because chasing profit is what we all do but I agree with you it's not accurate to call them as Bitcoin enthusiasts.

I disagree with Bitcoin maximalists too. The world exists with many components as same as cryptocurrency market has Bitcoin and altcoins but Bitcoin maximalists don't accept this fact.

Quote
I'm personally always interested in any adoption-related news. Like another country adopting bitcoin as legal tender or even any general "good" regulations that helps the adoption of it grow.
Adoption creates value of Bitcoin and value leads to price growth. More adoption, higher value, higher price, it's natural process of Bitcoin's value and price discovery.

128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you stopped using bitcoin for small transactions completely ? on: April 21, 2024, 01:25:27 PM
During these times when bitcoin prices are high and the mempool is congested, I try to look for altcoins with minimal transaction fees that can get the job done
High price of Bitcoin does not cause too much more expensive transaction fee. It does because transaction fee on Bitcoin blockchain paid in satoshi and when Bitcoin price is higher, satoshi price is higher too.

I mean that we have times when Bitcoin price is higher than $65,000 but transaction fees were not expensive like recent days, after the fourth Bitcoin halving and after Runes attackers did some shits on Bitcoin blockchain.

In times like these recent days, we can not use Bitcoin blockchain with small fund and if I have big fund, I will not use Bitcoin blockchain too. It raises another reminder that we need to diversify our assets to different things, Bitcoin, Gold, altcoins. We need prepare some different options when we need to move our funds.
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone is celebrating about the fourth halving but what is this? on: April 20, 2024, 03:01:27 AM
Despite the reduction in block reward, block mined are more with transaction fee. The total reward for block 840000 is 40.75 BTC.

Is it good example that Bitcoin blockchain will continue its long life even every four years, Bitcoin block subsidy will halve?

The increasing demand in short term and in long term, will feed Bitcoin miners and it is good for Bitcoin network. If Bitcoin miners have good income, profit from mining, they will continue to mine Bitcoin blocks, to receive rewards from block subsidy and transaction fee.

Things are going on a good direction for Bitcoin network and miners.

Hype on Bitcoin blockchain last two years comes from Ordinals as you can see some information from Glassnode Insights' report months ago.

It's always like that since klopp was underestimating their opponents. Liverpool deserves it since they did it very wrong by using the secondary squad to battle against atalanta which is really unacceptable thing for sure. I was expecting klopp to always used the full squads in any of european league match but it was wrong about it.
So, they deserved leave from europa league even early.
I don't think Klopp underestimated Liverpool opponent but he has to rotate their players when the season comes to the end and he saw his players were tired a little bit.

A bigger problem and weakness of Klopp is his ambition and failure to control it. He has to choose what is a biggest target of Liverpool in this season, Premier League or Europa League. By don't know what is most important competition, he wanted to win both and rotate his players for both competitions. By don't use best players for matches in Premier League and Europa League, Liverpool got defeats in latest matches and now they are out of Europa League while in Premier League, their chance to win the title is very small.
131  Other / Meta / Re: Why is merit not common on trading discussion board on: April 19, 2024, 10:46:09 AM
I know the members with 1000 + merits have deep technical knowledge than anyone else and that's why they get those merits. However, if someone who has deep knowledge about trading, and that person may not get required merits for the posts/thread then that's somewhat unfair.
Life is not fair but if you can make good posts, you will earn merit. Just quickly or slowly earn merit, difference is rate of earning merit.

If a poster can not earn merit, it is about post quality and boards are no longer reasons for that user. Because after a long time of writing many posts, no single earned merit, it means something about actual post quality of that user.

132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you stopped using bitcoin for small transactions completely ? on: April 19, 2024, 10:39:06 AM
I don't use on-chain Bitcoin for small transactions, considering the fees. Come to think of it, when fees are above $10, I try not to use on-chain Bitcoin at all.
We can wait for cheap transaction fee time to consolidate small inputs or make on chain transactions to deposit our bitcoins to gambling site or centralized exchange. Consolidate small inputs when fee is cheap, is very good preparation for future on chain transaction when fee is expensive and we don't have time for waiting.

Quote
But that doesn't mean I fully stop using it, as I do have small amounts on centralized platforms (for gambling and betting on sports). Since money's already there, small transactions are possible there without any fees, and Bitcoin can still be useful. I know it's different and that it's not a solution, but it also means not stopping using Bitcoin for small transactions completely.
This case you are doing internal transfers, not on-chain transfers if I see it right. Gambling sites and centralized exchanges simply credit you a number you want to transfer or tip from one account to another account. They only proceed an on-chain transaction when a user submit a withdrawal request.
133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you stopped using bitcoin for small transactions completely ? on: April 19, 2024, 08:03:59 AM
Instead I find myself using Dogecoin & Litecoin more frequently -- fees are almost nil so sometimes it makes sense to do a conversion, especially if an exchange is gonna charge you an arm and a leg for withdrawing BTC.
With you examples, I understand that you want to use Proof of Work altcoins as your alternatives for Bitcoin. You don't mention any Smart contract altcoin and I can feel that you don't like them. I agree with your practice too because using Proof of Work altcoins is safer than Smart contract altcoins.

With Smart contracts, your altcoins can be frozen even you store them in your non custodial wallets. Blockchains and transactions can be rolled back by centralized teams and smart contracts too.

PSA: Most Stablecoins Can Be Frozen, Even in Your Own Wallets
134  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin vs centralized Coins like Ripple on: April 19, 2024, 08:00:37 AM
There is no need of taking any risk by investing in altcoins because they are not worth it, and they are for gamblers who wants to make 100x profit on a little money. This is where they get carried away by greed and loss it all to the dev under the twinkle of any eye.

Save your investment from liquidating and invest in bitcoin which is king to all cryptocurrency. The risk investing is shitcoin is very high.
Experienced and big investors will prioritize safety for their capital than high ROIs. With an investor or a trader, capital is most important. Losing all capital means losing all and nothing left to do. Invest in Bitcoin is risky but much more safer than invest in altcoins and this reminder is talked many times but it's hard to convince newbies about this fact and keep them away from shit coins.

Quote
Bitcoin leads to success and shitcoins lead to failure.
Newbies don't see it and they see potential in altcoins, not risk. They only actually feel about high risk of altcoins in bear market, not in bull market.
135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: April 18, 2024, 03:30:43 PM
I watched the match and it was noticeable that the red card greatly affected Barcelona's efficiency, despite its brilliant performance with only ten players. It was clear that Barcelona became disorganized after Araujo left due to exclusion.
This was a dream come true for Paris Saint-Germain to achieve excellence and qualify for the next league. The goal difference was not very wide, however, and all analysts in sports publications, in addition to club experts, confirmed that PSG would have been far from winning this victory had it not been for the fatal foul that caused Araujo's elimination. The same analysts confirmed that Barcelona's chances of winning would not have been diminished by the exclusion of one player, regardless of his position or performance, if the opposing team had not been PSG.
I read the interview of Gundogan and he criticized three biggest mistakes in the match that caused the painful loss for Barcelona. I really agree with his thinking like in the first conceded goal, Araujo actually can do it better. He can simply let that situation goes on and accept risk that PSG will score a goal from it. If more luckily, Barcelona goalkeeper can save it and no conceded goal at all.

By making a foul like this, he gave PSG a penalty and risk to get a conceded goal is higher and another big advantage is a red card when the match still has many time ahead. This situation and that bad decision from Araujo actually cost too much for Barcelona. A red card destroy the tactical operation of Barcelona and gave PSG very good advantage to control the match even they played home away.

137  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Price action strategies on TRADING on: April 18, 2024, 02:16:27 PM
Another topic on Bitcoin support and resistance for dummies. It is helpful for newbies and it is good for traders who don't use Leverage and Futures for their trading orders.

With Spot trading, using Support and Resistance to make your entry and exit is very good strategy for trading and get profit. With Bitcoin, your risk is smaller with Spot trading, because if you make a bad trading position, you can hold it and wait for chance to take profit later.
138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: April 17, 2024, 03:10:53 AM
De Rossi's match strategy is quite good. He has adapted well with the Roma players. Bonding between players has been strengthened. This is why the performance of the Roma team is now more consistent than before. The team has been performing well in both Serie A and Europa League in every match.
He surprised me with chosen tactics for that match and it shows that De Rossi is not a naive coach. He does not let his team play attacking in all matches and with his experience as a player from central defensive midfielder and sometimes as a central defender, De Rossi knows importance of defense.

Quote
De Rossi left out several key players in the starting XI against Udinese. Nevertheless, Roma's overall performance was quite good. However, the match was suspended. However, it is expected that Roma will be able to perform well in their next home match against Milan.
It again shows that De Rossi does not manage Roma with emotion but he has good plan for the club in a long run. The suspension of that match at 70th minute helps Roma players to avoid 20 more minutes of playing and they will have very good preparation for the match with AC Milan in Europa League.
139  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does trading belongs to everyone? on: April 17, 2024, 03:07:04 AM
But whether it's suitable for everyone is a different question.
There are a lot of things to consider before we can say it is for everyone.
For example, risk tolerance, technical knowledge, financial, stability, and many more.

These are just examples of things that we must consider before we can say trading belongs to everyone. Potential traders should consider their personal circumstances and the potential risks before getting involved.
Trading is like other things in life, can not be suitable for everyone. Different people have different personal characteristics and they will find best things they can do like trading, investment or others.

Trading is only for people who have good capital, risk management, can build up good plans, control their emotion, and can do their plans, strategies with good discipline. Everyone can join the market and trade but to live with it, get profit from it, they need many necessary things, knowledge, experience and discipline.
140  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Leverage on: April 17, 2024, 02:52:36 AM
In life, leverage is good as it helps to help us accomplish a goal faster. But in trading, leverage in trading is clearly a bad deal. It messes things up for both the traders and the market.
Leverages are roots of bad and worst things. When society, economy and market are good, you will feel leverages are like magic tools for you to get rich quick. It's time when you become more easily to forget about risk and lessen your principles on risk and capital management and how to use leverage to avoid risk and liquidation. It's time when things become worse and you even don't aware of such slowly changes.

When all things from society, economy to market become bad enough, you will see leverage is like toxic pill for you.

Quote
So my question is why do exchanges still offer them. They keep pushing it to traders like favourite snack?
They get benefit from it. Losers is their customers, traders, not exchanges so exchanges have no reason to stop providing leverages, futures trading to customers.
