Thanks. Can we please have this info in the first post? I am sure I am not the only one with this issue here. +1 Agreed, someone please link the Windows build for the GUI to the initial post and the WebSite.

Sorry if this is a dumb question or not really in the scope of the protocl but I had an idea a while ago that I would like to make into a reality if possible;
1) issue an asset ie: DOMINOS on the DEX. Each share would equate to one 10$ pizza voucher 2) The buyer would pay in DEX or BTC (pegged to USD) or whatever mechanism is suitable so that issuer does not lose money 3) somehow the voucher would be sent to the buyer. As I understand this is not possible in the protocol itself, but maybe the buyer would prove they have ownership of 1 DOMINOS with a key or signed message or something, and then be able to input some proof of ownership to a web-site, the voucher would then be automatically sent to an email address provided and marked as spent.
is such at thing possible? I love the idea of the decentralised exchange & if possible want to built some link to the 'real-world' on it.
My understanding is the asset DOMINOS, will act like a giftcard for 10$. So, the customer can purchase this asset in the distributed exchange. When they need to redeem it for a pizza for 10$, they would send 1.0 DOMINOS to an address owned by the Business. On receipt of this transaction the Business would then ship the pizza. (This can be handled by an intermediate service provider).

Any update? LTBcoin is basically waiting on this.
We're currently testing Counterwallet internally. It should be out in a couple of weeks. That is, it should be out *on mainnet* in a few weeks. It will be available for testing much sooner. We'll be launching at the end of this month, if Counterparty is ready for us that'll be the platform. LTBcoin is ready to launch through Counterparty protocol. http://ltbcoin.com/Great News ! What better way to introduce new members to the protocol and showcase its capabilities.

Why not post this VBCoin under its own thread in the [ANN] section. It will bring more exposure to VBCoin and also serve to demonstrate the capabilities of the protocol.

Update 2014.03.07 I have learned about BlackCoin and DarkCoin. But it seems that both of them mining a bit too fast. I am a bit afraid on this. I'll go on spending time on NXT as it's a bit complex for me. If you have any data related to NXT or XCP, please post them here or on our own forum(prefered, thanks!). I'll checked the data and post of some other most voted coins tomorrow.(It's deep night in China now.) Hope all of you who read this post happy. Follow us on twitter for more information. https://twitter.com/btc38news加入我们的BTT用户专属讨论QQ群(投稿、建议、交流): 250045224 Can anybody help www.btc38.com with adding XCP to the platform? They are interested in XCP. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=501963.msg5525645#msg5525645+100 Someone, please help. Being listed on BTC38 will triple our XCP awareness and trading volume.

I have my XCP wallet on Poloniex. Can I transfer my XCP's to my bitcoin wallet on blockchain.info or on my Mac multibit BTC wallet?
Yes, you can. Make sure to remember the address, so you can export the private key at a later date to the Bitcoin-QT client or webwallet.

#2, and use Counterparty to issue the shares and dividends. No more centralization than necessary.
Also, consider going to a 2-of-3 signing model where customers must cryptographically sign every movement of their coins, which results in much slower trading but prevents theft. If Poloniex could be the first exchange to do this it could actually be a boon and turn this theft into a positive thing for your company. Imagine if Poloniex became the only exchange where users would have cryptographic proof that their coins could never be stolen, except the actual amount involved in the current trade, which could of course be small-chunked to minimize risk.
I'd trade there myself, because then even with this history of being hacked it wouldn't matter in the slightest - Poloniex would be as secure as Bitcoin itself - and there is a large contingent of people who really don't care about day trading, they just want to make a few trades every couple of days or weeks as new developments arise. This is an unexplored niche and why not have it be Poloniex that pioneers it? A no-trust exchange. I'm sure many people would be happy to provide help with the coding and cryptography side of things as well.

+1 This could be a bigstep.

I think you could easily sell shares by creating a company selling assets in xcp/counterparty protocol?
+1 We would be glad to have Poloneix Shares on the XCP distributed exchange.

Just a note: due to the Poloniex BTC hack (not related to XCP), most buyers have withdrawn their BTC from exchange. So, trading will be down for another week or two, so don't panic exercise patience and take a long term view.

well xcp offers function despite from send doesn't it? if these functions offer value for the cryptoworld why shouldn't the prices rise? this argument holds true for maybe 4-5 altcoins, xcp is definetely one of them.
Yes, there are only about 4 to 5 second gen coins that bringing some innovation to the table (out of field of 150) and XCP is definitely a strong contender in that space.

Raising fee is not going to be feasible, as that will drive business to other exchanges. (for non exclusive coins).

Assuming Busoni is okay with issuing shares to cover the deficit. It should be quite easy to setup in counterparty, we just need one of the trusted members to create an asset, lock it and transfer ownership to Busconi. The shareholders can be paid monthly/weekly dividends in BTC or XCP.

In addition, I had a question. Would it be easy/possible for an exchange to list individual assets as seperate from XCP ? So if I make an asset, Poloniex could list it ?
It is technically possible. However, for the exchanges to do it, it needs to make business sense. If you asset can provide a high amount of trading volume, then they are more likely to add it.
