There are several key indicators to watch out for while checking the legitimacy of a cryptocurrency project. One of most obvious indicators is the website and whitepaper. I've come to realise that no legit project use a plagiarised whitepaper. That is right investing has a high risk, but for people who have not good knowledge about investing in cryptocurrency. l also advise the people to be stay away from investing. l think knowledge is more important than money in this world. Lack of knowledge definitely will bring harm. a disease many people have is lazy to research but wants to get rich quickly. many people are more interested in reading profits compared to the project. Well, I have also been like that. however, if you want to invest, make sure you know all the science, concepts, and core of the project in detail, even you also need to find out about it. Check out the quality of their social media channels, a promising project will be supported by a strong, active community. Do not trust too much on Crypto score ratings because this kind of scores can be bought for money.
i agree. i don't understand the need of these ico score rating. these rating, just like coindesk, if they're invest or get the free coins/tokens they would write really good thing about them. |

Do you ever wonder why there are many altcoins today? I was just thinking that since the main objective of cryptocurrency is to ease payment. Why would people create so much altcoins when people can only use bitcoin as a payment gateway? Are the founders of every altcoins creating their token for money?
i agree too many altcoins, there should be a stop to any altcoins at this point. all are scams and fake promises anyway. now should be time for in chain creation or app, not creating more scam chain/coins. this is an expert opinion. creating coin, chain, ico, ipo or scam should be long gone, time to focus for in chain, sidechain and app now. the only legit pump now is if the sidechain or app is really working. often time now everything is like circle of life, repeating and rinse, repeat and rinse, repeat and rinse. |

what experts? before the corona bitcoin is below 8k, now it's over 11k. on march bitcoin below 4k and stock market below 20k. if you bought bitcoin march low that is 3x bagger now. at this point corona really help the crypto-currencies and don't forget the dollar is weakening because of u.s government freely issue their currency, which make gold and crypto-currencies strong. i don't really understand your point here. basically the 2008 u.s great recession creating bitcoin, now the 2020 u.s and world recession/corona which make the u.s freely issuing their currency that make and solidify the crypto-currencies. people start to realized about this and why crypto-currencies is pump right now, u.s currency is weakening. |

There's a lot of tips before here in the forum before investing on cryptocurrency and I can't agree that much with this one. 1. Real human doesn't guarantee that the project is legit or can succeed in the future, you still need to dig dipper and know the purpose of the project because if its just a copy paste of other project, then it will be hard for them to succeed. 2. Listing your findings can help you monitor on what projects excel on every sector. If you are serious on investing to a new project then have at least 3 choices and compare those projects and invest to those who excel. i should say minimize |

@bitmover. Also, the news article mentioned that some of the investment came from Ethereum's genesis address. Is that where the premine is? Does this imply that this project has Vitalik and the Ethereum Foundation's approval?
This project might become the real Eth2.0 hehehe.
it's basically hype and fake promises, everyone can do that even little 4 years old kid, promises. now you will see those whale/s who bought into it going to pump this project like crazy even if it offer and have nothing, just like cardano, pokadot or other scam projects which started this way... just whales and fake promise then it start from there... it's all about the fake pump that excel a coin to the top you can look crypto as a whole there is nothing much to offer but scams and promises... and most are worth billions! basically, invest wisely and try to think |

i wondered why everyone so wanting to pump etherieum or even bitcoin? it's so outdated!
i understand bitcoin being the pioneer but etherum i just don't understand about it, i meant smart contracts and ico is good but it's mostly for scammers thing.

It's always for the best interest of the project if they use top exchanges to raise fund, there will be better results
1. Enough money for future developments
2. High trading volumes and enough liquidity
3. Exposure to more investors and whales and even traders
what more can a project team want?
This is why I've Zero my mind that serious projects will always aim for top exchanges, the results are already clear as crystal
all the serious projects and ideas already taken, what left are scammers trying to make it big on noobs expenses. |

I will like to keep this simple and short, you want to invest in DeFi projects? Yea they are the best presently in terms of fast growth and adoption but watch out for new DeFi projects because they are probably scam, you want DeFi project? Look into those that's been around since 2018 or max 2019, not all newly launched DeFi projects starts development in 2020, DYOR and Play Safe.
