In my opinion, It looks like the arguments for a minute premine is much more favorable than the arguments, or lack of, against premining.
Interesting.
Do those who think premining have a constructive answer to show how a coin will work with a true 0 premine/instamine?
What I gather from these posts against premining is that those who don't premine can have a successful coin only if the developer is also a designer, security expert, hacker, accountant, marketer, advertiser, web developer, attorney and bank all in one. AND he has no other job and money in his bank to just throw at an alt coin. Now that is a good plan.
And then I too agree 0 premine can be successful with that guy.
There is always an exception to the rule of course.
We had a team of several people, C++ dev, web/gfx designer, someone with some marketing knowledge. We all work in the I.T industry. We needed to invest very little (just some money for servers to kick things off). No pre mine required, pre mines are just needed to make a quick buck, we mined some and used this for a couple of bountys but we pretty much did everything ourselves so there wasn't a need to pay third partys, now we have the backing of a great community who are all interested in seeing the coin succeed. Man many coins are pumped and dumped all time.In some time that 3% premine at this price lvl won't have such influence since everybody can join and buy that Panda @3 satoshi discount or even @1 sometimes. In long run everybody can get their shares at little price. Then everyone who will come here and will be talking about Wolog... fuck of that coin was @1-@10 satoshi for 2 months. For 1BTC you could have even 100m of theese coins. Everybody could buy it at 0 costs now when you missed train just cry. This is risky i know. See what happened to quark was worth shit for long time and at the end of story price went skyrocket. Why some whales were buying it at low they had a plan they pumped it when they had big amount of shares at low price. Everybody don't give a chance quark for a six months and when price skyrocket all says same bullshit about premine... After reading some new i was crying to but when i got on their bitalk forum and i looked at prices on cryptsy and i relized what a lies are speard around. I investigated it and it wasn't premined at all... but before six months none was interested in Quark coin, it lied on ground yield to be picked up. After someone pumped it all they woke up and cryied premine...bla bla just but they just missed train and were jealous.Doge have similar distribution and none cares about it in 6months 88% of coins will be mined. Panda is in good development IMO good wallet creative artwork.It can took some time but this coin have chance like others. Great point in citing the terms of service; however, I don't think letting coins idle for a day is a breach or a bridge too far. As a newbie miner, I obviously took the lesson.
Hashrapid positions itself as as a professional mining service with on-call development operators. The pool charges a 2% rate and has payout costs - personally, I associate the higher fees and statements of service worth it assuming service is rendered. This assumption and interpretation leads me to conclude the owners and operators wouldn't hide behind terms of service in doing what is right.
Rather than destroying the brand they have at present and starting over under a new pseudonym, I kind of have to think they will do the manual payouts they said they would...Despite the lack of communication.

It's called 'greed culture'. Greed is bad for business. It is gonna cost them on the long run, when the equilibrium gets distorted. People will turn to some other exchange. There is a bar on the bribe, if you go over it you'll be smacked down by some other exchange. Reasonable profit on the other hand, is extremely good for business. There are also some limits on the issues you have on an exchange, community won't stand that for long. There is always a possibility of common sense, not seen much around here. |

I think you should try to resolve this somehow and not to make another panda thread from this. try pm's, better then in public. Personally, I'd like to see it settled somehow. You're all adults, and some people have certain interests; you guys are not the only ones on this coin. I don't wanna get involved in your disputes, but it doesn't look good at all. Like I've said before, the dev team alone CAN NOT support this coin and it is up to the COMMUNITY to help ensure this coin succeeds. That's all there is to it. We're pressing on regardless of what anyone has to say and we appreciate all of the help and promotions everyone has put effort into. Underlined part in your answer is not necessary, you're making it too personal. Please avoid responding like that, otherwise you're gonna make this thread very hard to read, which is very bad for the coin. Bad publicity, as seen on example of some coins. We are pressing too, mining/investing/pumping. It is not always so obvious.
