I noticed that some work has been done on creating "newcomers guides" but why have I / we not seem more of this? Should this not be presented with a big button that says something like, "new to coins click here" or "click to start being noble". The link then will go to a new landing page named for examle "Newcomers corner", where they will be informed about how to get started. The start page of the noblemovement.com website looks a bit “outdated”. What is the advantage of a very large picture showing the skyline of New York or Sidney? I think the start page should show the latest improvements or releases, news and direct links for people seeking information on how to get involved. Now that the marketplace has been launched the main website becomes more important. So I think we should invest in getting it up to date and more professional. It still is our main advertisement, also what is the current logo of the coin? Is it the eagle, is it the silver coin, the new design coin or the simple N symbol? Where can a shop use each of the graphics, for me this is not really supported right now. I really like this coin, the idea's and the speed of new features being released however it seems we still lack some marketing or good branding. So in short I think we should: - Advertise the newcomers guides; - Update the start page; - Instruct for suppliers on which graph to use; Something I have been thinking about would be to create a website that has 3 main target groups, Suppliers, Noble owners and Noble newcomers. I like the idea of bringing in the "average" guy however I think we should start getting the nerds / IT people in as that is more simple. They have a better understanding and trust in online payment and I see many of them not being involved in mining (or crypto at all). So a while ago I had this idea to write a " simple" instruction for mining Noblecoin using Windows Azure (cloud mining with 20CPU's with no cost). This would be a win-win situation as we would get more mining power and users could get into minining without any cost. It's getting better very time last one was a bit too much detail for me, especially around the edge. I think it would be "better" if the name Noble would be the only word on top and in gold, people who are not familiair with Noblecoin/eagle should also recognise is directly. Another thing to "think" about, some webshops use the (N) symbol http://www.blackblanco.com/shop/ (this btw looks really nice ) so it is recognisable as the name Noble is always in gold. I am able to give you the information that the community of this coin is not really focussing on a (current) rise in the price. We just want to create the best (alt) coin out there, develop something unique. Our believe is if we keep supporting the coin, the value will rise due to higher demand as it is a "accepted" payment method. Right now many of the alt coins value is determined on speculation and believe it will "be the next big thing". Of course this can be profitable, expecially for short term traders, but that is not what Noblecoin and being noble is all about   So get involved in the coin, share your thoughts and idea's and make this coin grow, then the value will rise..... Well, it looks to me that coinmarket.io being a small exchange means in the past day or two people have jumped ship and sold up to buy Leaf. How you come to that conclusion....? In my humble opinion, I think we should stop accepting new "NOBLE Charities & Causes" and focus/support on the ones we currently have. I know that there can never be enough support for charity and totally agree on that however I believe it's better to focus on 1 or 2 and then move to the next (not add more and more). The charities are now getting small amounts (money/noble), which do help them of course but the focus seems to be missing. I think we as Noblecoin community not only bring in money but also give awareness to the charity, which is of much greater value for both noblecoin as the charity. When we for example start supporting 1 charity for a whole month, advertise with it and post our "collaboration" at our main site. We could publish interviews with people who give large donations, publish stories of success from the charity because we support etc, we can show that we as a coin mean something and can get things done. When we(the community) donate "large" amounts of coins / money and therefore get things done, the public will start to take us serious instead of being another crumble for the charity (like the boyscouts with cookies selling). So in short i think it's better to fully support 1 than supporting 10 a bit..... ps sorry for my dunglish |

My thoughts are with you man. Did someone steal it("hacked"), or was it complete meltdown of equipment? This is just me thinking out loud, but it would be interesting to see a coin approach the world in a unique way. No pushing to new exchanges, just focus on the important parts (I'm not saying exchanges aren't important). Improving the community, "getting the word out", branding Noble to be perceived the way we want it to. Getting the ball rolling. With our Noble Movement I think this coin is a perfect candidate to try this, a more "noble" approach than the rest. A "We don't care about the money, it is the project itself that is of value" - type of approach. This will brand us as more unique then we are today, our own niche. I am looking for coins like this because I know from experience and education that long term thinking is always the best. It is more sustainable, it is safer for investors and others associated with the coin, and it takes the "get rich quick" part surrounding Cryptos out of the equation. This will be very attractive for investors providing payment solutions in the future. Now that we are listed on one exchange it is easy enough for now for people to buy Nobles. I'd love too see one coin not end up in the crowd that is screaming to get listed. Anyone with thoughts like mine? 1. Let NobleCoin, as a new alt-currency in it's infancy, grow at its natural pace. The price is not important at all for a coin to be a good medium of wealth transfer. I saw your question and thought to reply, I am somebody who is following the Noblecoin since the first week. You talk about the giveaway as if they were just "given" to people out of nothing, that is not correct. Only people who helped with the translations, setting up pools, helping IRC and etc have been given "large" giveaways. However this is all very transparant with this coin, you can find ALL in the public ledger: http://www.noblemovement.com/public-ledger/Besides this many of the other lately released coins, have been doing "giveaways" to people who vote on Cryptsy, Facebook etc to get people involved. The Noblecoin has not been doing this as much as other coins. So in short, the premine was "larger" than you might like but currently the giveaway to people has been very limited (see link public ledger) and transparant information! Many coins could learn something from this, not simply helping friends/buying publicity but honering it's name NOBLE! We need more exchanges One exchange is good enough for now, first we need to point out to all other people why this coin is superiour / different than all other coins. More transparancy and information about the coin should be published, I believe we should look into: - weekly updates / newletter (as sugested by Norrisk); - get the marketing machine going, create a simple / visual but informative "1 page" with Noble coin's keypoints that you can distribute online. For example on Facebook/twitter and other websites. Just to get the attention and create awareness; - publish your (developments team) view about the coin; talk about the progress you made and the which great things will be released (soon) Besides these "obvious" points I think that the coin needs some hypeing, like a "released soon" page that gives a countdown clock with new features released. They could start doing this when the Android app is ready, put it in the market as if it is something totally "new". Just my thoughts and idea's Hey everyone! And it's not a bad idea, especially now that there are followers on both FB and Twitter. About the countdown, I'm not so sure. To have a work in progress-like information page is one thing. And I would agree with that. But a countdown is a double-edged sword. If you don't deliver you have to account for that. A "trick" to avoid not being able to deliver is to start "announcing" when you are in the last test fase. Meaning you only start counting down from 1 week or something, before it's only seen as coming soon. I ment it more as an example to hype the coin (maybe not the best example) but things to think of as what is the "Target Group" of the coin for marketing? I don't know if this is easy to describe for something as new as crypto but it could help to point out what is best way to get the target group "involved". Until now mainly "nerds" and "investors" have been involved in the market. How to for example get the yough (as they are more likely to want to change, as crypto can change our daily way of paying) convinced that this is the future.
