I hope Draper does get the majority... he tends to hang on to his coins

The U.S. Marshals Service on Thursday held its third auction of bitcoins seized from Ross Ulbricht, convicted of operating black-market website Silk Road, with a sale of 50,000 units attracting higher demand than the previous auction. The government had 14 registered bidders for the 34 bids received, said Marshals Service spokeswoman Lynzey Donahue. That was higher than the bids received at the last bitcoin auction in December, when just 11 buyers submitted 27 bids. The first auction in June attracted 45 bidders and 63 bids. http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/03/05/us-bitcoin-auction-idUSKBN0M11WJ20150305

Just create your own bitcoin game... little Satoshi's robbing banks using their Tesla getaway cars.... of course it would have to include trips to the moon

If the OP thinks it's hopeless, he might just want to sell and get the hell out... no sense hangin' around for the all of the doom and gloom... we don't need a pity party... this includes paid fudsters! The rest of us will suffer through the consequences

Online wallet and exchange services such as Coinbase have made it incredibly easy for the everyday investor and user of bitcoin to buy the currency. But what if you want to buy and hold bitcoin as an investment? Or, what if you want to diversify your investment portfolio into this new asset class, but do not have the expertise or resources to securely procure and store bitcoin? http://www.cnbc.com/id/102476273

Silly question... but why doesn't someone ask google if they plan on adding btc?

Bump... this is big news people!.. other forums are giving it high priority. It's open to all... etrade etc. A lot of investors are trying to make bids however they're in a waiting period (possibly 30 days).

Excellent news... price already going up.

Quick answer is that smart people will continue to purchase btc... considering the amount of VC $'s and exchanges coming on board the opportunity far outweighs the risk. it's amazing that you can still get in at this price... I wish more newbs understood that you can buy at any fraction of a coin... just do it for the novelty if nothing else.

From the youtube vid this looks like an African American only low income opportunity program... from the clip I didn't see any diversity (latin & poor white folks)... great program as long as you're representing all lower income people.

The stigma of bitcoin harboring nefarious characters is false... maybe these government officials should start looking at their own bank accounts for hidden personal gains at the demise of the masses first. Fiat related crime trumps bitcoin crime by about 10 million to 1... lets start with this premise.

When the New York Stock Exchange announced its investment in the U.S.-based bitcoin exchange and wallet service Coinbase, I thought it was a sign that bitcoin was done with its "tumultuous teen" years and ready for adulthood. The ascent into adulthood would be marked by high profile investors and an exponential growth in the ecosystem. http://www.cnbc.com/id/102456187

Depends on if the buyer replaced the coins he/she let go

After watching the CNN show it became clear how little the US Senators understand bitcoin... Manchin owes it to his constituents to know the real risks and rewards... he actually believes the Fed Reserve should be in control of bitcoin research The Canadian Senate did not rush to judgement without at least listening to what Antonopolis had to say (ended up with a standing ovation). Andreas could dispel a lot of these misconceptions (it's untraceable, higher security risk than Credit cards etc). Make it happen...

Excellent concept... would certainly draw more gamers to the party... however why would the gaming companies not do a quick dump?

No major growth until investors are confident that their btc will be secure... anti-theft measures need serious attention.

As a long time IT manager I finally realized that if you want folks to adopt to new advances you need to completely skip the technical aspects... more time should be spent giving them "what's in it for me" and making it fun. When we did need to have training sessions relating to tech concepts we tried to make it a good experience... for example casino night... correct answer gained chips... or a virtual baseball game between two teams (base hit for simple answers... home run for harder etc).
As the op says as a community we have to come to grips with the need to dummy it down ... simple short promotions that can positively address their every day issues.
