121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin price effect on Altcoin on: August 20, 2018, 06:39:34 AM
Hey everyone,
How strongly Altcoin value relate to bitcoin price. Can we know the condition of ETH/BTC ratio by analyzing BTC/USD value ?

I think bitcoin price not really affecting altcoin price. The current market show that BTC price was not falling too much while altcoin was.
if you want to analyze the price, you can analyze it in the market. Just see the price movement at some big exchanges.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust ERC20 tokens? on: August 19, 2018, 02:46:35 PM
Last year in early december I bought eBitcoin token which turned out to be a scam. Luckily for me I sold them before the ePRX snapshot but alot others have made losses. I really believed this token would be a succes but I've realized that alot of these ERC20 tokens have the same things in common. The devs (or better said scammers) create alot of hype and pretend their token to be the real deal while they never intended to create a working product. I've thought about investing in tokens like Credits and Elixir but I'm afraid they are all the same kind of scam.

Do you trust them?

i am currently holding some erc20 tokens, and some of them giving me dividends once in a certain time range. So yes, i believe erc20 tokens.
and im sure that vitalik create eth and erc20 tokens so the peoples can use them to investing in many icos and make profit with it.
123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I CHOSE BITCOIN INVESTMENT OVER BANK INVESTMENT on: August 18, 2018, 03:22:24 PM
Knowing the crypto world was the best thing I have ever done. Today I was given an amount of $20000 by my uncle to make an investment for him at the bank so that by the end of the year he can get some additional money added to his capital. I sat down and calculated and found out that, investing at the bank will give him just $2000 interest.

I then called him and explain to him about cryptocurrency and how secured it is with evidences and it price increment for last year. After seeing it he told me to invest that amount into BITCOIN and I have done it for him. I know that is volatile and can fluctuate but I made time to explain to him that although the market is red now but when the green days come he will get not less thank $25000 added to his capital. I know I did the right thing and he will surely laugh some days to come. What do you think guys?

There is nothing wrong if you choose bitcoin as an investment. What you must know is just never invest more than you cannot afford to lose.
If your uncle dont agree you invest on crypto, then you must take your own decision to investing.
124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin investments? on: August 17, 2018, 10:08:52 AM
When big boys enter the picture, the rule has changed. Bitcoin then becoming a fprm of investments, and no longer the original vision of satoshi, iguess its really inevitable, specially during the 2016-2017 when it peaked at around$20,000. It become a speculative asset, and others tske that as a opportunity, trying to make quick bucks, or even putting thier whole life-savings hoping to become rich.

I am sure that satoshi was not planning for bitcoin and cryptocurrency to become investment asset.
Because the value of bitcoin very high in the market, there are many speculators and peoples want to own bitcoin as an asset to keep.
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 97% bitcoin gold crash should feel like a bad omen to you on: August 17, 2018, 09:56:25 AM
bitcoin gold crashed 97% it was once traded at 500 usd and now its just 17 usd,

this is the first bitcoin fork, out there and it is basically gone. when bitcoins forks collapse the next will be bitcoin, you guys then will stand like a sect in a ocean of cryptocurrencies

i think many has sold their bitcoin gold and buying bitcoin because you can see the btc value is not crashing like btg and other altcoins.
But i don't think the bitcoin itself will crash. If bitcoin could crash, it would crashed some years ago.
126  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's price is not stop falling! What to do? on: August 16, 2018, 02:04:29 AM
I think im not worrying for btc price because it is not really falling. Most of my concern is the altcoins.
Most altcoins price are falling in the market. I don't really know what is causing altcoins price falling such in the market.
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin impracticable payment. What is the solution? on: August 16, 2018, 01:48:42 AM
Right now if you want to buy a pizza with Bitcoin, you will have some problems, the delay it will take and the fees will make it impossible.

https://lightning.network

This seems to be a solution. What is your though about this? Is this going to be as secured and anonymous? Where are the source of this technology?

If bitcoin developer cannot reduce the blocktime and fees, then the solution is simple. Just use another coins with a fast speed and cheap fee.
Litecoin is one of them. With a same algorithm to mine, it is the Lite version of bitcoin.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will EOS do? on: August 15, 2018, 06:54:40 AM
Hi,

I'm a little bit double minded about the EOS.
- They raised 4 BILLION with the ICO. Very greedy
- with this money they can do a mind blowing marketing campaign
- I think the tech is good, I also see some comments about the errors in github

What do you think? Are they going to move up or down?

EOS already have EOSRAM being traded in the exchange. EOSRAM is the resource for the blockchain developer to create dapps.
But in the current market, EOS price is very cheap. If you are a developer, you can make dapps in EOS with cheaper fee.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to protect your wallet myetherwallet.com ??? on: August 15, 2018, 06:28:12 AM
how to protect your wallet myetherwallet.com Huh

You need to secure your wallet if you are using myetherwallet. Sometimes hackers can make the phishing site of myetherwallet.
I think you can import your myetherwallet to metamask. Just make sure your metamask is real and have many positive reviews from others.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When do you know its time to sell your altcoins? on: August 14, 2018, 03:34:10 AM
Just wondering if ya'll have a typical formula you go by or a certain X percentage profit or loss.

I've been playing around with coins for just under a month now. $23750 total investment and currently up just under 10k in profit. One of the coins (IOTA) has gone up about 288%.  Obviously it would suck if it crashed but it would equally suck to sell if it continues to grow.

Just wondering what a lot of you folks do. I'm considering investing another 25 or 50k into coins. Ideally I'd like to net 15k a month off them but I know that may not be realistic on a monthly basis.

I know when to sell my altcoins. When my altcoins falling greatly, i will sell it because something must be happening at that time.
I will sell my altcoins too when i see the value in the market rising 2x, that is the safe way for me.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I want to invest on: August 14, 2018, 03:10:55 AM
I want to put some money into BTC, just in case, I also wouldn't mind learning to profit off trading them weekly or on a daily basis, I see potential. It looks alot more easier than forex and quicker than stocks.

Where do I start?

P.S - How is BTC expected to be the future if it so volatile, you will always have to worry about how much your paying ETC.

When you want to put some money into cryptocurrency, that means you believe in crypto despite the risk of the volatile value in the market.
You can start by buying in a small amount and trading it in the market. High volatility means you can buy low, sell high and the opposite as well.
132  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: LOSING money on signals? on: August 13, 2018, 10:23:19 AM
Is it possible for someone to lose money while following profitable alt coin signals if bitcoin goes down?

What's best way to prevent it?

Do you really believe that they really pumping the price ? They could buying with a low price before the signal start. and sell it later when the price pumping. Pump and dump group is only profitable for some peoples, not for all in the group.
133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you stop calling Bitcoin an investment? on: August 13, 2018, 10:13:42 AM
Yes, bitcoin is basically only a currency that created by satoshi. I believe he want us to use bitcoin as a payment system.
but some peoples pumped the price of bitcoin, resulting bitcoin became an asset that have high value in the market.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should I buy for $ 10,000? on: August 12, 2018, 02:55:12 PM

I currently have $ 10,000. I wonder whether to buy etherium or not? I find that Etherium has fallen deeper, I think it will come back in the future. Who can help me? I need your opinions. Please help me

That is not a small amount of money. $10,000 is enough to buying several good coins or tokens.
If you wondering to buy eth or not, my suggestion is just buy it. ETH is a good coin, it has been used by many investors to investing in many ico projects.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to ensure the safety of wallet? on: August 12, 2018, 02:48:17 PM
I am new one in this market place, so it is important to know the safety issues of the wallet. Please someone help to understand the issues of safety of the market.

Yes of course it is important to make sure your wallet is safe. The safety of your wallet depends on what wallet you are using now.
If you want to store ETH or erc20 tokens, you may use metamask for free, or hardwallet if you can afford to buy it from legit vendor.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What happens to market ? on: August 11, 2018, 11:17:12 AM
Market is getting down not only #Bitcoin but also Ethereum, Dashcoin and others. What is your idea about market?

How long time will this take to survive ?

Btc market is not too dump, but eth market is. If you look at some exchanges, eth price has dropping around 12% in the last 24h.
We are all wondering what happening in the market. There could be some peoples know about it and try to manipulate the altcoins market.
Maybe because SEC delay ?
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I lose my coins by choosing wrong wallet? on: August 10, 2018, 07:13:46 AM
Hi everyone, I found a service announcement of new wallet platform few days ago in our forum.
Their introduction and vision stated in the post seems to be great and it also attracts me a lot.
However, I still wonder whether I can trust that new wallet.
Can I lose my coins by choosing wrong wallet or they can never stole any coin because they just provide wallet service only?

Please help me if you have experience in this field. Thank you.
This is the link to the wallet that I mentioned: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4582763.msg41338130#msg41338130

Actually you can be hacked if you choose some unsecure wallet. Never trust any new website or something that have wallet.
The most reliable wallet in the website is a trusty exchange wallet. You can use client wallet for your coin and install it on your pc though.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tips on choosing the right ICO on: August 10, 2018, 07:08:59 AM
How to choose the right tips for choosing a good project?

To choosing a good project, you must choose a good peoples behind that projects.

139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a new form of manipulation? on: August 09, 2018, 02:07:41 AM
The fact is that we all love Bitcoin, the cryptospace and the "good" altcoins but this year has been very rough and tough for all of us with some of us even thinking of leaving with the small we have now. Now something has got me thinking very deeply. This year has been going in almost the opposite way as we thought. Whenever we thought there was going to be a rise, then boom!! we go down the hill into the valley. So i just pondered over these and found out that we need to give the market a new eye. We need to start thinking in the way of the whales. To better get what I mean; go through the list below and look at what the market went through during those times.

- Chinese new year
- Coinbase announcement of some coins on coinbase
- Consensus 2018
- End of financial year
- Tax return time
- World soccer cup (well, i didn't expect a bullish era though! but others did Cheesy)
- Coinbase announce of add some crypto again
- Bitcoin ETF(Whiis killing us currently).
and many more...
Well, what next ......what will make the market red again...Huh

So I'm confused- are we being played on our minds or manipulated to be off track or it's just bound to happen that way. Because to me this coud be a big time manipulation other than using pump and dump groups. All that will be needed is for the whole crypto market to think in one way and you'll be good to go. We hope to see some green light very soon.

I don't know it either. But if the value of crypto increasing or decreasing much in the market, then there must be something occurred here.
Peoples who own crypto in a massive amount could manipulate the market, the possibility is quite high. Crypto is very unpredictable
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Invest in Ethereum on: August 08, 2018, 03:12:37 PM
Hello.

do you think it's a good time to invest in Ethereum?

This question should be ask in 2014 when eth created. You can see many earlier adopters of eth are got much profit from it.
ETH now is used by many peoples and companies in ICO. So i think yes, it is a good time to invest in ETH.
