Ethereum will have adoption 3-5 years after bitcoin hits its full adoption. There is no utility to Ethereum now and we will all get plenty more opportunities to buy it even cheaper. It’s great for 1000 people who code. Bitcoin needs adoption first. Bcash needs to be destroyed as a warning and punishment and than us pre-early adopters (not speculators) will repeat the benefits. Too much dumb money in the market like Nick Szabo said most of it in shit coins specifically Bcash.

Bitcoin market cap needs to approach 70-75% followed by Ethereum than litecoin which can act as a Lightning payment channel on ramp with atomic swaps. That’s all that is needed.

Let the dumb money be lost. Majority of it all flows up.

Please be careful with what you say. You dont want to give people false confidence. In reality cryptocurrency is a new area and it remains to be seen wether altcoins will be able to survive or bitcoin for that matter. But this is what makes them potentially good investments. High risk = High reward. But i think that the magic is disappearing and altcoins in particular will have a hard time because of this.

Bitcoin is king in the electronic money market. There is no Altcoin that is independent of the value of Bitcoin.BTC has the power to manipulate the electronic money market. All Altcoin are affected by the price of Bitcoin and the Altcoin, not the value is proportional to the Bitcoin price.

Bitcoin is the coin used mostly for pairing with other coins on the exchanges. Any change or fall in the price of Bitcoin apparently affects the coins with which they are paired with. Until the buyers and sellers correct the actual price for the pairing on the market, Bitcoin will continue to affect the price of the coins it is paired with.

If during 2017, we observed a direct correlation of altcoins with bitcoin, with a lag of 3-6 days, now we have seen an inverse correlation for a number of assets.

Bitcoin has an awesome impact on different altcoins. Bitcoin is the lord of crypto, where all altcoin relies upon bitcoin, wherever bitcoin moves, its present will be trailed by altcoin. Along these lines, when bitcoin diminishes, all altcoin additionally abatements, and the other way around. Once in a while, this decay additionally negatively affects ICO which is winding up progressively hard to accomplish its business focuses for softcap, as the quantity of ICO asks for from financial specialists likewise diminishes.

Right. But that is true for altcoins that are expensive and not strong. The price of BTC is proportional to the potential altcoins because people choose the same time to sell and buy.

for me.
they have a marketing strategy that each holding altcoins follows the decrease in the amount of bitcoin or ethereum because it is based on time. if today the market is low in exchange for that is also the small investor.
so altcoin is affected if they do not lose the amount they can lose because they can sell their token at high price.

The value of the altcoin price will really depend on the Bitcoin. First, it is about the trust of the people in the Bitcoin. So, when the price of BTC is down, it can affect the price of the altcoins. then, many exchanges offer the transaction using the BTC, so it also depends on the price of BTC itself.

regulation maybe will make it worst. Because if Government make regulation it meand bitcoin is not natural anymore. If they support it without regulate bitcoin, it can make it better because can be adopted in everywhere

To some extent, Yes, but I do not think that you will be able to consistently predict the market movement in this way

Hey everyone,
How strongly Altcoin value relate to bitcoin price. Can we know the condition of ETH/BTC ratio by analyzing BTC/USD value ?

I think bitcoin price not really affecting altcoin price. The current market show that BTC price was not falling too much while altcoin was.
if you want to analyze the price, you can analyze it in the market. Just see the price movement at some big exchanges.

Bitcoin price movements are generally able to influence Altcoin prices. The relationship is not always predictable, but there are some general trends.
Some possibilities that may happen when the Bitcoin price is increasing quickly:
- Altcoin will be pressed because the money will be delivered mainly to the Bitcoin market. And sometimes it will happen also that the altcoin prices will also increase because the fiat will also spend for the other cryptocurrencies because of good news from BTC.

Yes, the price of bitcoin and Ethereum should have effect on the altcoins market because the both are the dominant of the coin market cap total value. Bitcoin being the father of all other altcoins has a long way in affecting the price of other altcoins in the market place.

There's large impact associated with bitcoin cost upon just about all altcoins because just about all altcoins adhere to whatever path bitcoin will go. Bitcoin may be the primary choose element associated with entire crypto foreign currencies because it's the bottom foreign currency of the marketplace.

Sure. Now everybody knows that how much btc price effect on altcoin. BTC have it’s own market and it can be very good alternative for flat money. Already some countries ban btc for this threat. Yes, only for threat. Without threat there is no reason for ban btc. This condition about btc proved that how btc can influenced over the world. BTC stand on it’s own basement but others coin stand with the help of btc. That’s why there is a direct effect and relation between btc and others coin. Though sometimes altcoin can remain green some more time when btc drop but most of the time altcoin always follow the path of btc.

Actually I know like that There may be opposite and parallel tie between Bitcoins and Altcoins so If we see opposite tie between them , Bitcoin rise and Ethereum decrease also If wee see parallel tie between them, both of them raise.
These are different markets, and now they show different tendencies which don't match. Sometimes altcoin prices don't follow the bitcoin trend.

When the bitcoin price is down every altcoins is affected because of like a domino effect in the market, bitcoin being the leader of all coins, it affects all the price of the alts. But this should not be a sign for us to worry because bitcoin price will soon gets back to a high price.

of course because BTC have a big Influence, but not all altcoins are affected by the movement of bitcoin, usually only coins or tokens that are in a network with bitcoin.
