@ Killiz

Morning, Killiz. Goodness, no. I'm not having a dig at you personally. You said, 'could go up,' which is possible (with hard hard work of the right type).

What I was having a dig at is a general attitude that's been prevalent for a long time: buy and wait (and get rich without contributing anything to this community)

[Magnificent pink dawn-sky here.]

Mark

Ah, ok Mark. Sure, I was just commenting on the maths. $2 from $0.22 is a lot easier and quicker to get to than $5800 from $580. Same initial investment, one easily achievable, the other not so easy.

Accepting the risk of keeping coin on exchanges is part of the exciting adventure of developing a crypto, so let’s stop pretending that we don’t and shouldn’t keep coin on exchanges. I call for all CBX enthusiasts to keep, say, point two of a Bitcoin in buy-support at all times.

I ask that we no longer blithely accept statements about How The Price Is about to Go up by 1000%. One reason is that, IMHO, it’s disrespectful to those who work long and hard behind the scenes. Another is that it’s sloppy thinking, conclusion with forceful argumentation.

Lastly: isn’t our third birthday just days away? Shouldn’t we be counting the sleeps? In case you’re new to cryptos, three years is a big deal. And to celebrate, I ask for a frank discussion of who we are, and where we’re going. Are we a ‘traders’ coin’? Are we fully committed to developing CBX as a currency?

Mark

Mark. I'm not sure if you are having a dig at me here regarding my post about the possibility of CBX value increasing 10x.

First when I adopt CBX the price of CBX was above than 50K satoshi, but the price of CBX getting lowered every day. today I notice we are at 39K satoshi. to be honest it makes me worry. I am stored my CBX from last 2 months for better profit. but till then I am not getting profit I guess.
but I would like to hold my CBX for more time. I hope CBX price will increase,

Although CBX/BTC price is lower. The CBX/USD price has remained steady at around 22 cents for quite a number of months now.

www.coinmarketcap.com/currencies/cryptogenic-bullion/

Do not worry, let bitcoin have its run. Some people prefer to hold bitcoin when it is on the rise and they sell their alts  to do so.

CBX value could increase 10x or more within a short space of time. How long would you need to hold bitcoin for that to happen? Hold tight, there is much more potential in CBX than bitcoin anyway.

If so, can you please elaborate on how this post is both disrespectful and of sloppy thinking? I just don't get it. Maybe my mind is too full of slop.

If not, then my mind is definitely full of slop.

(4) A maximum of 1000CBX can be used for staking in an address that enters the lottery. This stops any advantage to large holders who win many blocks because of the balance of a particular address.

I didn't understand this rule. Remember that the staking process already splits blocks bigger than 1000 CBX so it's unlikely a block bigger than that will stake in a usually staking Vault. Larger holders will have many 500-1000 CBX blocks and that is their advantage as they can stake a few blocks in a row.

Good point, yes the ones with bigger wallets can stake faster as those are split into smaller 1000s.

An address with a large balance, say 10000 can have many inputs of 1000 or less CBX. Allowing addresses with large balances would be unfair as they may stake many blocks in a row as you say
What I mean is the address can only have a maximum total balance of 1000 CBX to qualify for entry, whether it be one input of 1000, 2 inputs of 500, 4 inputs of 250 etc.
Any address with a balance larger than 1000 will have their entry fee returned.

So, someone who has thousands of CBX must create a new address then transfer only 1000 CBX there so he can use that address to qualify, right?

Yes. This is the only way to keep things fair for everyone who would take part.
It would be totally down to luck. The winning address at the time of finding the winning block must have a balance of no more than 1000 CBX.
If someone were to enter the lotto and then add more funds to the address to increase the chances of hitting the winning block, the winnings would go to the next qualifying address with a final balance of 1000 or less.

The balance of the addresses at the time of staking would be checked to insure this rule is not broken.

Liking the bullion lottery thing.

I've had an idea for a while of running a blockchain lottery for CBX.

I like my competitions and such as some of you will know through my past giveaways.

The rules of this lottery would be roughly as follows:

(1) A future block number would be picked by myself, approximately 1 week prior to it being found.

(2) All participants would pay an entry fee from their address that would be taking part in the lottery.

(3) Whichever entered address stakes that selected block or the closest entered address to it, wins the pot.

(4) A maximum of 1000CBX can be used for staking in an address that enters the lottery. This stops any advantage to large holders who win many blocks because of the balance of a particular address.

What do you guys think? Would anyone be interested?
I could run a weekly lottery with maybe a 10CBX entry fee and the winner takes all.

Will add a little fun, and get people staking.

My birthday present yesterday was . . . 1,230 CBX (from wall-busting). Heartfelt thanks to the organisers.

And don't forget The Other Thang: every successfully executed 'core-community' project creates ties that facilitate further projects.

A belated Happy Birthday to you Mark!

A reminder; Wall Buster Incentive Program is still in force - this battle is not over yet!

This program applies only to CBX for sale at .0006 BTC, or cheaper, at Cryptopia.

Please wait for the usual huge Wall to appear before making WBIP purchases.

Once purchased, please send back the purchased CBX to your computer's Vault...

I will donate 400 CBX to the WBIP. Give me an address to send to VonSpass. I'm tired of staring at that wall \O/ yaaawn.

This is very generous of you, your help is appreciated: working together, we are stronger!

My receiving address is 5fJqTqKYXey79cA9CFDT6faXTcanadNcBR

Sent. I'm in total bewilderment as to why this seller is doing this, taken that they will be fully aware of what they are doing, as well as the efforts the community are giving towards taking those CBX off the market so we can progress. Lets get rid of this holdback!

any help on why i cant click the unlock vault option. what should i do to start staking CBX?

The unlock Vault option is disabled when you have not yet given it a password; if this is the case, you are staking from the moment you launch the CBX Vault... without password your Vault starts to stake right away.

Staking gain will depend on how many CBX you have in that Vault...

i already set up my password just now and i unlocked my vault for staking, but how can i know if its already staking? i cant see any messages that my wallet is currently staking unlike other alt coins wallet

If you have no message 'Staking suspended due to locked vault' at bottom left of vault, you are staking. Also lock symbol top right will be in unlocked position.

Hint: the article enthuses about RSCoin being 'a tool of state control'; but we think that more and more people want less and less state control.

Mark

Was reading this yesterday. True, more and more people want less state control, but the majority of sheeple are more comfortable under it. Let's watch and see how it pans out. If anything it will give more exposure to blockchain technology and crypto currencies.

Yea I think you need to backup your Wallet.dat in %APPDATA% -> CryptoBullion and then wipe everything this folder. Next you need to just uninstall your wallet and download the latest version. Next, go to Cryptochainer.com and download the latest blockchain for CryptoBullion. After installing paste your Wallet.dat and the files from Cryptochainer into your %APPDATA% -> CryptoBullion folder and you should be ok from here. Ever since I installed the latest wallet I haven't had a single issue whatsoever. When I had older versions of the wallet it would crash on me all the time as you described.

Yes make sure you are running version 2.3.3 http://cryptobullion.io/storage-use/ and follow the steps suggested by cmg777.

now that he has said that about staking.. i feel im experiencing similar pattern.

i will try the closing and unocking for 1 day and see

Dear Cbx member not need close , just lock and unlock.

If this is the case then it may be because you are sending funds.

I have seen a reduction in blocks staked. I think this is due to the likelihood of more people staking on the network.

If you use the bullion control features, as mentioned in my previous posts, you should see your 'coin age' going up. Blocks are coming rarer for each participant as more people stake, but if your coin age is accruing you are actively staking.

I find nothing wrong with the vault in regards to it going to sleep. Maybe it is just chance that you find a block after restarting and think that this is the problem.

For every person that comes online and stakes their CBX, everyone else's staking awards depreciate, resulting in few blocks found.

25% of coins staked is quite a high ratio compared to what we gave seen lately, so a reduction in blocks staked is expected.

This shows that more people are entering the network, and CBX is growing stronger and more widespread, as IMZ pointed out a few posts ago.  Smiley

No don't worry all reply welcome , but mine is already set to never sleep and hibernate , but I just go back and double check , does running other wallets like Tek Bitb orb and corgi cause any problems , Cbx was the last to be added on , the rest can work together with out problems, all staking

I'm not sure if this will affect the vault in staking.
I only run the CBX vault and don't have any other clients running alongside.

Maybe other members could verify if running many different clients can interfere in the staking process in some way.

Maybe try running the CBX vault without any other client running for a few hours and see if this may be the problem.

Could it be one of the other clients causing this problem. Try different variations.

Is there a conf for staking , I have 400++ stake twice and have not stake again second day now , any idea?

Have you checked if your funds are in one single input, or many smaller inputs?

If you enable the 'bullion control features' in the vault by clicking on options/display.

You can then view your inputs within the 'send bullion' tab.

If your funds are split into many smaller inputs, these inputs will stake less often than a larger single input.
You can send your full balance to one of your own addresses to consolidate.

Also yes the Vault does lock when sending any funds after being asked for your password whilst being unlocked for staking only (although the lock symbol displays that it is unlocked after sending). You can click it locked, click again and re-enter your password to unlock for staking.

Maybe this bug can be fixed, it has also caught me out a couple of times already.

Closed , and reopen staked within an hour , but after silence till now , looks like I need to do this to get stakes , any ideas why I'm having this problem . I'm on a laptop i7 , win10 , what other details do I need to provide?

Guys , how do I stop the wallet from going to sleep ? , I restarted twice and each time after an hour or so I got a stake!help

As long as your Vault is running and unlocked, you will be competing for PoSP blocks. By going to sleep do you mean the Vault is locking, crashing or other?

It sounds like you are saying that after you get a PoSP block you are finding you cannot find a subsequent block without relaunching your Vault?

Yes it seems too be. This way , both time I click on the lock and unlock not relaunch , than it found a block , but it was Running since last night without any block found. But today have found 4 blocks this way each time after I lock and unlock, four times in a row should be enough proof , that the wallet sleeps after I found a block , or what is the smallest block able to complete for posp , maybe I leave a small block that will take ages to find one that way it not sleep , will it work?

Sorry if this sounds silly.

If you are using a laptop, is your system going to sleep or hibernation? I had to change the settings of my laptop to avoid this as I also wasn't staking when my laptop went to sleep.

Vault will never sleep and will always run if your system is running.

Edit: I am also running win10 on an i7. If you need assistance let me know.

also, it seems like more people are staking these days.

25% of CBX are actively staking, so we are seeing an 8% interest rate for stakers. 4 times the 2% network rate.

Hello I know that Crypto-bullion is a proof of stakes coin I have 70 CBX earns but I only earn $0.04 CBX after 3 days of running the wallet, how many CBX do I need to earn from staking CBX I am looking forward to buy more on Yobit

Every staked block awards the same value of around 0.04 CBX no matter how many CBX are staked.

70CBX = 0.04
700CBX= 0.04
7000CBX = 0.04

The more CBX you have, the more blocks you will stake because you would need to, to achieve your PoSP annual interest.

For example:

There is an average annual PoSP interest of 10%, remaining at 2% for the entire network http://cryptobullion.io/white-paper/

70CBX - (70/100)x10 = 7CBX, 7/0.04 = 175 blocks per annum.

700CBX - (700/100)x10 = 70CBX, 70/0.04 = 1750 blocks per annum.

Staking a block every 3 days or so with 70CBX, shows you are on track to earn your annual interest for that amount of CBX.
