121  Economy / Economics / Re: One of the problems I see preventing mass adoption on: May 27, 2013, 01:00:16 AM
There are too many reasons why bitcoin will never be mass adopted to be concerned by one.
122  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin now crushing the Alt-Coins? on: May 27, 2013, 12:58:44 AM
There are a few coins that have been working on the idea of controlling volatility (the reason bitcoins are fundamentally worthless to anyone but speculators) but have been buried by, guess what, speculative alt-coin clones that solve nothing.
123  Economy / Economics / Re: Energy consumption could become an issue if bitcoin really breaks through on: May 27, 2013, 12:55:03 AM
I predict threads started by wishful thinkers will greatly expend more of our resources than bitcoin will before it gets eclipsed by the next currency in a year or two.
124  Economy / Economics / Re: How to estimate the amount of real (non-speculative) transactions ? on: May 27, 2013, 12:52:52 AM
You mean legitimate transactions? 0. Source: Bitcoin-business owner.

Maybe try an order process that doesn't involve an excel spreadsheet Tongue.

Oh that must why my business isnt taking off, because of the inconvenience of having an ordersheet available instead of a clunky web interface for inputting mass amounts of repetitive data. Not of course because the difference of 5 minutes means vastly overpaying or underpaying, depending on when you want to roll the dice and actually buy something with this. Thanks random business pro!

126  Economy / Speculation / Re: I speculate the price of bitcoin will go up, then down, then up, then down. on: May 21, 2013, 05:33:52 AM
I suspect that currencies should not be stable and that stabilizing currencies leads to price fluctuations in all other goods.

Totally, just the other day i was getting a pair of socks, it was $5, the next day it was $20. Oh wait, those were alpaca socks.

Pick your scamcoin, or join the pile and create your own, premine to hell and hope theres enough liquidity to crash it and cash out on your duped followers. Capitalism!

131  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do you deal with the thought about taxes on: May 21, 2013, 05:18:36 AM
I deal with the thought about taxes by paying someone else to deal with the thought about taxes.
132  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoin - powered by greed? on: May 21, 2013, 05:17:52 AM

140  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it true that the FED is privately owned on: May 21, 2013, 05:08:23 AM
3) If you think of the New World in Historical terms, the world that materialised out of the monarchies and dynasties of Europe and Asia, then America and Australia are classic examples of the New World.  The reins of powered are very much rooted in the central banks of the world.  We are living in the New World now it isn't a conspiracy, the next world order "the conspiracy theories hype" won't be calling it the new world order, it'll have a new name. We are in the New World now, and it has an Order to it that isn't working to the benefit of the people, and can't be changed through democratic processes, so no need to call it conspiracy, it is fact.
Not to feed into conspiracies but it is not (new world) order but rather new (world order). A change in the way the world is run.
The point is the same. It's not a conspiracy, it's just plain facts. The world is being run by an international oligarchy.
I know what you mean.
You mean this, right?
No - thats an implementation detail.  As is the ECB and the Fed.
Right, an implementation detail of international central planning. In other words, the world is being run by an international oligarchy.

Not run by them but seriously influenced.  If millionaires formed a political party, they would have the overwhelming majority of Congress, the Judiciary and the Presidency.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2013/05/06/if-the-millionaires-party-ever-gets-its-act-together-watch-out/ They haven't but you can't expect those institutions to act hard against millionaires can you?

Likewise you can't expect much action billionaires disapprove of.
And you wonder why I'm an anarchist?

Anarchism wouldn't' make any difference.  The rich and powerful will still have the men with guns.

Does anyone else want to know how far these nested boxes will go?

There are more of us than there is of them

Nah i think it will reach a point where it collapses in on itself and sucks my screen into the next dimension.
