121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PANCAKE (CAKE) will reach $100. My own goal, NFA on: April 05, 2023, 08:56:26 AM
Indeed, CAKE coin is a good coin to buy considering its supply and the way it has been running to this day but I would be quite cautious about it since there are also several competitors that offers some if not entirely the same services as PANCAKESWAP not to mention the possibility of better options popping out in the coming months as well. With all these considered, invest but don't overdo it. Just enough to make you happy when the bullish season comes and just a bit sad when the price doesn't head towards the direction you dream of. hehe.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BNB Coin Hit $300 Mark in 2023? on: April 05, 2023, 08:36:29 AM
I honestly think that right now, BNB is a good choice in terms of long term investing. It quite a lot of good things about it but the main thing that makes it stand out is that it is the main coin of the biggest crypto exchange right now. If bitcoin does shoot up this year, I reckon that BNB will also fly to the moon. Just by looking at some of the recent projects utilizing the BEP20 network, I think it will only gather more supporters/users in the months to come. Which will eventually increase traffic and of course price. Just be careful with it if you're mainly focused on futures trading though.
123  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Signals vs Own Analysis on: April 05, 2023, 08:09:57 AM
In the past, what I did was joining 2-3 signal groups and buy/sell according to their instructions. However, I realized 2 points.

1. No one can generate signals with a 100% accuracy.
2. When the winning percentage is 80%-90%, we have to make use of all the signals to get that percentage.

For example, if the results are
1-Win
2-Win
3-Loss
4-Loss
5-Win
6-Win

and we only take 3,4 and 5 trades, we are in a loss. Therefore, now I am not doing trading all the day. When I am free, I spend some time to analyze the charts and find some opportunities to enter the trades. Please share if someone has a different story.

Hey, there's really nothing wrong in joining signal groups only if you utilize them well. And by utilizing them well, I mean not relying solely on them like how a dog follows its owner. Being in different signal groups especially the premium ones gives anyone a huge advantage in terms of finding the right techniques and styles that suits your personality and schedule. Like which time frames makes you feel more comfortable, fits your schedule, which indicators feels comfortable to use for you, portfolio arrangements, plans, etc., etc. The main point is, don't look at signal groups as a profit feeding machine but instead, see it as a treasure chest filled with new skills and techniques that you can learn and add to your own arsenal to better yourself in the trading industry. Nothing beats the feeling of confidence from your own TA and the sense of fulfillment at every win you achieve, big or small.
124  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2022 bear market? on: April 05, 2023, 07:40:55 AM
The end of 2021 when the price reached ATH at a price of almost $ 69k, it made me optimistic that the price would reach $ 100k in 2022, so that made me continue to buy, unfortunately the price dropped and added to the many scam cases that made the price at an alarming level. and now 2023 the price looks to suggest recovery.

Didn't most of us make the same hopes and mistakes? lol. I feel you. I was just lucky enough to only suffer bearable losses since I was able to pull out a bit early. would have been in profit or at least lost less had I not let my emotions take over back then. haha. Oh well, what's important is the things we learned from the past phase of the market. I personally think I matured a little in terms of organizing my portfolio and planning my trades. I sure hope you and the others did too! This was more of a valuable experience rather than a lamentable loss so don't feel so down about it. Just continue to learn and get better. Good time are coming! Cheesy
125  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks are a business, and you are the cash cow on: April 05, 2023, 07:24:39 AM
I mean, most of the people know this already. It's just that it's difficult for most of the people to go against the norm since mass adoption of bitcoin or any crypto currency hasn't been that huge yet. Which is why most of the people that are aware just use fiat and bank services for the sake of convenience and are already preparing themselves for the future when the crypto currency industry gets even more widely known all throughout the world. Most of these guys prepare by informing family and other important people around them while also learning and collecting as much good crypto as they can.

Still though, there are quite a lot of people who are already aware but still choose to ignore and do nothing about what they know and just take the opportunities that this industry has to offer not just for today but for the coming years as well for granted instead of taking advantage of them. Which is kind of sad in my opinion but oh well.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Surprise back!!!! on: April 05, 2023, 06:54:43 AM
Ahh.. The classic "Elon moves, price does too" scenario. Well, if there's anything that I have learned about the reactions of the market whenever Elon says or does something related to the crypto industry, it is that whenever it happens, ride on it early and get off of it early. The duration of the ride would then depend on the situation and how the crowd moves along with it. I suggest not getting emotional about it that would make one go against the flow. Whether one likes the guy or not, it's better to just take advantage of the situation. A few just can't beat the many so might as well join them. haha
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of Layer 2 and Arbitrum on: April 05, 2023, 06:37:52 AM
I have heard quite a few things about Arbitrum but not that much to make me fuss over it. Even my friends haven't mentioned it but seeing all the positive things here about Arbitrum, I am considering reading about it more. If all goes well I might consider jumping into this ride as well and may even share it to my friends. Does anyone know a good competitor for Arbitrum or it doesn't have one at the moment? Would want to take a look at that as well if ever.
128  Other / Politics & Society / Re: FREEMAN ON THE LAND on: April 05, 2023, 06:22:06 AM
I for one am really a big fan of freedom but at the same time not that much? I don't really know how to explain it but maybe it's because different people have different views about freedom and to what extent should be tolerated for it to still be still called freedom and not just abuse. I'm getting influenced by dozens of things around me that it clouds my own perspectives. The only thing I know though is that everything really has to have a limit to maintain order. I think absolute freedom won't really work well in this world. Afterall, anything that's too much never really resulted in anything good as far as I know.
129  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you profitable? on: April 05, 2023, 06:11:07 AM
To be honest, I've really had it pretty rough this past few months making wrong decisions just because of being driven by emotions on my trades sometimes. Either getting too greedy or getting caught up in revenge trading and noticing it a bit too late. That's why I decided to keep my hands off of futures for the time being and went for spot instead which turned out to be a great choice for me since I avoided suffering losses and instead gain a few wins(just a small amount of profit). Although it isn't as great as the wins I get from futures back then, it is much safer and slowly builds my patience and skills. I think I'll be staying like this for a while until I'm confident enough with my skills to go for futures.
130  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price and my mindset on: April 05, 2023, 05:54:47 AM
Congratulation for the profits. Starting a business from your profits is a great and common idea but not many would follow.

As for the price right now, it's at 28500+ which isn't really that bad. Right now I'm still not sure whether I should start getting into futures again since I'm still not that confident about how I create my trading plans. Honestly, my chart's are a bit messy staying safe on spot really saved my capital a lot, lol. Was even able to gain some profits which would have been losses had I gotten greedy and did futures. I'll just have to wait and see till mid year and just decide by then whether I want to go back trading on futures or if I should just stay on spot. Just can't find the best trading style for me yet since none of the things I watch online makes me feel confident enough.
131  Economy / Economics / Re: Can one achieve financial independence through crypto currency? on: April 05, 2023, 05:37:12 AM
The popularity of crypto currencies has been on the rise in recent years and many people are drawn to them as a means to achieveing goal of financial freedom.
Additionally, the decentralization and global nature of crypto currencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum and others, have made them an attractive option for those who want to take control their financial future and want to avoid traditional banks and financial institutions. They can also provide hedge against inflation and currency devaluation.

Given these factors, the dream of financial freedom can come true by using crypto currency?

I believe so but the most important thing that should be taken into consideration when we talk about financial freedom through crypto currencies is knowledge. This is the most vital thing if anyone wants to achieve financial freedom through crypto. While some people are already sharing knowledge about this industry, I believe we still need more expert mentors that would offer services as much as how this industry needs more people willing to be open minded and learn about new things.

Also, I believe that there are tons of great opportunities nowadays for freelancers since there are also some jobs out there online that do pay in crypto. Although most of the time it is tech related, there are also some jobs that does not require excessive knowledge about the techy stuff, some basic knowledge or at least a few know-hows would be enough, one just has to have the drive.
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to convince a sceptical person to buy Bitcoin ? on: April 05, 2023, 05:20:04 AM
Honestly, I really do not think that it is anyone's obligation to convince others to invest in bitcoins or any other type of crypto currency out there. Not unless it is a person that one really cares about or is family. Now, the only way to convince people that are as how you described them is to show results or the good things you have gotten from bitcoin. By doing this, you will manage to get through their mental barrier and make them at least a bit curious. After that, you can then proceed explaining little by little all the technical or more complicated things. That's how I convinced a few friends.

135  Economy / Economics / Re: What crypro / tokens has the most utility ? looks like all are useless on: May 08, 2022, 07:19:28 PM
Also, by being under that state of euphoria of being right, you have also missed/ignored the utilities that I have mentioned.

Oh well, that's your opinion. I have no say over that anyway,  I appreciate the enthusiasm to converse though.

I can re-read your statement four hundred times and I can read your response nine hundred it won't change a thing, the fact that you failed to mention one coin or token that has an actual utility and that can't be replaced by Bitcoin, and since you're saying I'm missing the "utilities" you have mentioned what are those?  Common, don't be shy, one utility other than printing token after tokens with no utility at all.
You were triggered because I picked 5 random coins and those weren't the ones with utility, good, pick 10 out of the first 100 by your choice and tell me the utility behind it that no other coin has.

If you want to contradict my statement and prove me wrong come with the proof.

"I can re-read your statement four hundred times and I can read your response nine hundred - and still miss it."

You can think of my reasons for responding any way you want, that's your right.

What I wanted to do and still trying to do right now though while typing this response is explain a bit better to make it easier for you to understand since you seem to have gravely misinterpreted my response to OP.

Okay, let me start making it a bit more easier for you to understand. I was talking about different perspectives. And with those varying perspectives people have varying needs or wants and these demand for wants and needs are what gives birth to several projects with different utility or improving the utility of an existing one. These are the real utilities that I have been referring to in my post that you first responded to: Ease of access for something, fun, satisfying or whatever plus the profitability potential. And I'd be damned if none of these utilities are in the coins that you hold or trade on a daily basis(if you are into leveraged trading or flipping).

While I was a bit lazy to mention more utilities I know of, I thought the word "whatever" in that sentence was pretty easy to understand already; that there are more utilities which weren't mentioned.

But yes, be it decentralization, p2e, defi, dao "etc.," or even shitcoins. They are continuously created or improved because there is demand, a need for improvement or a need to satisfy risk taker's needs for fun or thrill on their get rich quick hopium. Are these things important? That depends on the perspective of an investor.

A good example for creating a token with somewhat a copied utility to add improvements or branching out more utilities are these four that are revolving on storage utility :

Siacoin(SIA) - which aims to solve the problem of expensive cloud storage.
Storj - which offers decentralized, end-to-end encrypted cloud storage having the goal of solving problems relating to data security issues.
MaidSafe - which aims to do more on its network than trade storage; it markets itself as a “crowdsourced internet,” on which not only data is stored but decentralized applications live.
Filecoin - which is a blockchain-based marketplace that allows its users to monetize their unused storage space by hosting files for a fee.

The varying stablecoins that currently exist or are still about to pop up can also be good examples but I am sure you already know about those.

Anyway, I hope this response finally made you understand the main point of my response to OP. If by any chance it still doesn't, then apologies but I won't be explaining any further than this.
136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reducing Bitcoin Transactions in El Salvador on: May 08, 2022, 06:39:45 PM
The reason for this reluctance may be because the government has not created much learning system for the people before legalizing it. Or in simpler terms, they did not give a proper introduction like seminars. El Salvador would have been better off delaying the legalization and focusing on educating their people about this industry to rake in interest. While it may be a bit too late for this, they can still hold seminars having a few bucks as baits to make people show up or free courses. One way or another, some people joining these seminars/free courses will finally learn to love the innovation that the blockchain can offer specially when the speaker on these seminars are well versed when it comes to talking about crypto and speaking on seminars.
I would guess that making people learn is not the way to go, if they are not interested then they are not interested and that is the end of it. If they are interested then there is really nothing that would stop them from learning it neither. Don't you think there are enough places online that would teach them already?

I do not know their language, Spanish? Portuguese? Whatever it is, I am sure they could just open up youtube and learn about it and there must be some from El Salvador itself, and that would basically mean that they could have learned if they wanted to. They did not because they didn't really want to and that is the problem.

Look brother, it is like this, if people do not know anything about it, or never hear about it, how will they have interest about it? Having these seminars or learning courses for the people really interested is a good way not just to educate but also to advertise bitcoin and spread word about it to people that don't get easily reached by social media.

Also, if they get to hear about it, they are sure to at least be curious since whenever money is involved people tend to pay attention more compared to other things that does not involve money making. Just like how some people that do not understand the value of education so they don't bother with it while others that understands strive hard to be educated and get a degree, bitcoin will also be in demand for the people that comes to understand it.
137  Economy / Economics / Re: What would happen if Tesla decided to sell its Bitcoin? on: May 08, 2022, 06:02:47 PM
If by any chance, Elon Musk really does decide to sell the bitcoin holdings of Tesla which I hope will not happen(at least for now that the market is still bleeding and fear is high), it will be disastrous. Specially if they do it fast until they finish selling all of it. That's not the worse case yet though, the scariest scenario would be doing these and going public about it as they sell or after they have already done so(which is more logical). I can already imagine how sharp the drop would be. Still though, BTC may still recover pretty well even if this does happen which may not be immediate of course, but not impossible.
Oh well, I don't think Elon would really do such a thing since it won't be giving him much benefit compared to holding it for longer term. The thing that just bothers me about this is Elon's unpredictability. Ooohh what to think.. haha
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you regret when you miss selling at ATH followed by a correction on: May 08, 2022, 05:21:08 PM
It often become a good opportunity when you sell at a peak and after that the correction come and you buy again with low price but many people miss that opportunity who then regret but I do not regret when I miss that opportunity because I do not do greed and remain satisfied with my current amount of coins and I know in the future the price will grow again to another ATH and my current coins are enough to give me enough profit. With this thought I keep myself tension free.

What is your views and conditions at that time?

Brother, if you really think that way then I must say, you are lying to yourself. I mean, who doesn't regret not being able to sell on peaks and buy back on the bottoms? The better way to express this may be "I regret but do not get bothered much by it since I am not greedy" or something. Still though, given the right circumstances and capabilities, I am sure that anyone would never miss such a chance. Greed isn't something that we should see as something awful because without it we would be doing nothing. Getting it under control would be the best approach. Of course, if you do not want such tedious things like learning more than the basics in trading and watching the charts several times a week, then I guess being satisfied with what you have or waiting out the storm and looking at the bigger picture would be best for ya.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Taught my Octogenarian and Septuagenarian Parents about Bitcoin on: May 08, 2022, 04:08:15 PM
Wow, that's amazing. It really is really difficult to teach others about bitcoin or this industry as a whole specially the elderly. Heck, even just teaching my mom how to use the most basic social media sites so that we can still connect and update each other is already a hellish nightmare! I can't imagine how it would be even more difficult if I start trying to explain the blockchain technology for starters! I might even get punched by my mum! haha.

But in all seriousness, the thing that may have gotten it a bit easier for you to talk or explain about bitcoin to them is their already curious minds either because of seeing you looking at charts all day or because of hearing about crypto somewhere else(if they are tech savy people). This would make things easier because people that are already interested or curious about something will most likely already have an open mind about the thing they are curious or interested about. This may or may not be the case but yeah, just sharing what I think.
140  Economy / Economics / Re: When the People's Choice is not the Investors' Choice: Economic Prospects on: May 07, 2022, 07:05:18 AM
As a fellow Filipino citizen I admit that I am actually a bit worried about this as well. Although I support the Marcoses, these issues mentioned above are real and can be a huge problem if ever he does win. But even so, I do not think that it will be a long term problem if these issues get properly addressed as soon as he takes office(if he really does win that is). The turbulent times will, just like any other phases, pass. A change for the better does require a lot but I just wish though that we wouldn't be sacrificing that much and that the change coming if he wins really does improve the overall state of our country.

What's important right now though is that whoever wins should be fully supported by the entire country. Because a leader's success is the whole country's success as well and this goes both ways having us suffer when the leader fails. The toxicity of being a sore loser and being trapped in the never ending cycle of pulling down others that have bested you should be broken. These political parties and their personal agendas that does not only divide us but turns us against each other as well should be put to an end.

I wish that this time, my fellow countrymen will wake up from the wrong mentalities and stimulate the change, unity and genuine love that our mother land is desperately crying out for by starting within our/themselves. Only by this can our country get back up again like in the past.
