Thats a hell of a lot of BTC just to have earned from transaction fees, he must be trading as well to make that much. I don't like the idea he's trading because he has a huge advantage over everyone else.

Kind of a shame it's destroying the integrity of the currency as an actual currency really. I really hate people who agree with this sort of thing. Bitcoin isn't going to get popular acceptance by any major company if its jumping around like a kangaroo riding a pogo stick while on crack.
A market with lots of first time traders, product which is very hard to value, small market cap, it's perfect for someone who has the money to play with. I didn't say I agreed with it. |

Depending on the closing price today I think we might see a small rally on Monday. People will have the perception that if it was worth $30 a few days ago then it's got to be worth more than it is now. The ability to hold that price will be based on the amount of new investors and what the large holders decide to do.

Hype doesn't last for years, reality sets in after a while. And just what is your motive for telling us that everyone has a motive?  hmm what is your motive for asking me my motive about revealing everyone has a motive? |

mintaka speaks the truth, there will probably be a rise on monday, however if you do buy then you should be looking to get out fairly quickly as I don't think it will be sustained for long. If your looking for a long term investment wait 2 weeks+ until the hype subsides. Also everyone on this forum has a motive, including me, so make sure you do your own research.

May I ask how you know this? Were you watching the price feed when this happened? I wish I could've seen that in action if what you say is true.
However, I'm surprised this supposed early adopter dumped so many all at once. Wouldn't it have been much smarter if he sold in small amounts over a period of time.
I was watching and It looked like several big buy orders were cancelled and then someone dumped a large sell at the same time. Clear and successful attempt to cause a selloff. |

Like most small cap stocks the short term value is going to be directly related to the volume of news. I think we'll see a slow decline to about $10, until the next big event happens (Big merchant accepting bitcoins, Silk road 2.0 etc). In the long term, if people actually start using bitcoins as a currency, the sky is the limit (but i'm not seeing a lot of evidence of this happening at the moment).
