12181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin Core generates wrong private key? on: February 18, 2021, 11:22:48 AM
import my private keys from the paper wallet one the core has fully loaded . Is this possible?
That's possible: click Help > Debug window > type "importprivkey" followed by your private key.
Rescanning takes quite a while.

I see all your instructions above but am really not very tech savy
For paper wallets with QR-code, a mobile wallet such as Mycelium on Android is much easier.

cold storage paper wallets
You're talking about cold storage. Depending on the value (and how much money you're risking) you may want to keep the private keys offline, which means none of the above, because all of it could put your funds at risk for malware.
Cold storage with offline signing isn't a non-tech-savy approach though.

After moving your Bitcoins, and only if your paper wallets are old enough, you may still have some Forkcoin value left on them. Don't throw them out yet.

I just notice the dump have both inputs and outputs, but what's the difference? Which one is UTXO in this case?
I didn't create this format Tongue I'll show some samples:

P.S. There's similar discussion at Sync your blockchain easily!.
That's different, the data in my topic isn't meant to be used by a wallet for transactions.

If I will need a blockchain in text format then I will easy to convert it from JSON format provided by native bitcoin RPC-API And I will be 100% sure of the security of this data
Can I challenge you to do it, and verify Blockchair's data?
12184  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Low fee causing unconfirmed transaction on: February 18, 2021, 06:29:24 AM
Okay, now I'm getting more confused. It created a transaction that transferred the balance of that address to this new electrum wallet.
In your new Electrum wallet, make sure you enable spending unconfirmed coins within Settings. After that, make a new transaction with your unconfirmed 0.04963597BTC, send it to your own address, and pay about 5 times more fee than needed to cover the previous transaction. At the moment, around 100 sat/byte would be enough. So the total cost still wouldn't be that bad.
12185  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Low fee causing unconfirmed transaction on: February 17, 2021, 09:40:14 PM
Thanks. The wallet I sent it from is an old Android one with very few features, so it doesn't have a CPFP feature.
CPFP can be done from the receiving wallet, not the old Android Bitcoin Wallet.

I've tried that Ian Coleman link and none of the private keys provided will be accepted by other apps. I'd love to be able to get Electrum to accept the 12 word seed phrase but it won't do it.
I haven't tried it, but this looks promising (again: use it offline!). Given that you say you have 12 words already, did you follow this procedure?
Note that you don't have to try importing the private key from Ian Coleman to check, you only need to check if Ian Coleman's script shows 1Bt2ZMR523WZTRQPDuse9gG4yhAW61Nuhi. If it does, Electrum will accept it's private key.
12186  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Low fee causing unconfirmed transaction on: February 17, 2021, 09:25:14 PM
Did you send it to your own wallet? If so, you can use CPFP by making a new transaction from your bcq1shr-address to another address in your own wallet, with a much higher fee. The new fee will have to pay for both transactions.

Update: Maybe trying the seed words in IanColeman (use it offline air gapped!) is better: if you can get the private key for the 1Bt2ZMR523WZ-address, you can leave the small inputs (0.00001000 and 0.00005000 currently aren't worth the fee).
And while you have the private key, don't forget you have $18 worth of Forkcoins.
12187  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Recover Paper Wallet on: February 17, 2021, 06:53:15 PM
@t00nces22: If your Bitcoins were from "years ago": was that before or after August 1, 2017? If it's older, you still own some Forkcoins (worth about $900 per Bitcoin you owned).

You gotta admire the patriotism though, look at #1. I'm certain #1 in the US is not "American" and it's likely the case in most other countries.
They're not alone in their patriotism, Japan, France, Germany, Philippines, Brazil, Netherlands, Poland, India, Thailand, Argentina, Sweden, Croatia, South Africa and even Luxembourg do the same.
Meanwhile in USA, UK, Canada and Australia: lesbian Cheesy

I don't get it: why is this feedback negative? It would have looked great if it's positive Cheesy

In your posts I can clearly see the bars on the windows of your hospital ward.
Although having limited access to the internet would explain some of Foxpup's freakishly accurate timing, I think the time machine narrative is still far more likely to be true.

But apparently "gay prostitute" is all he could come up with
I miss TMAN, he could teach the princess some new words.

"gay propaganda" is a crime in Russia
and lesbian too.

Can you create a sample of each file, with just a few MB, so people can see the that and how it is organized before downloading 500GB?
Lol Tongue You didn't click the links, now did you? There are thousands of files (one for each day), so pick a sample Wink

Is there anywhere else where you can download the blockchain in csv format other than in loyce.club and blockchair?
Not to my knowledge.

I think the best format is a relational database. SQLite for example.
I'll leave that to the reader. You're free to download and convert to whatever format best fits your needs.

No. You can report them for multiposting.
12193  Economy / Exchanges / Re: An exchange with sweep feature on: February 17, 2021, 11:56:32 AM
I've never seen an exchange that does this. They'd risk scam accusations if you (or someone else) empties your funds after handing over the private keys.
I can extract your Forkcoins (BCH/BSV/BCA-A/BCD/BTG) for you if you don't want to do it by yourself. If the amounts are low enough to risk them at a hot wallet, you can use Coinomi (Android) for BCH/BSV/BTG. That only leaves BCD/BCA-A, but those aren't worth that much. Before using Coinomi, you need to receive some Fork dust to force replay protection.

I still don't know a trusted exchange to get rid of BSV/BCH-A, the others can be traded at for instance Binance.

1. I do have surplus btc in the wallet, is it an easy process to do CPFP? Is my blockchain Web wallet capable / can you recommend a rookie guide perhaps?
I don't use blockchain.com's web wallet, so I don't know exactly how it works there. Basically, what you need to do is send the change from that transaction to another address with a fee that's high enough to pay for both your old and your new transaction. But that's only useful if you can manually select that (unconfirmed) input).

2. You say chances are it'll confirm on Sunday, almost a week from sending point. I'll assume it's your familiarity with current traffic, but what makes you know this?
For 3 years I've been checking transaction fees, and Sunday is usually the cheapest day for fees.
This site gives a very good overview of past transaction fees.
12195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Tx. Unconfirmed help with webwallet on: February 17, 2021, 10:16:00 AM
Your fee is too low for ViaBTC's free transaction accelerator, but you could use CPFP (Child Pays For Parent) by sending the change from your wallet with a higher fee. However, if you're not in any rush, it's probably best to just wait it out. Chances are it will confirm on Sunday.

If you're coming from a web wallet and want to go to a full Bitcoin Core, you may want to try Electrum first. It's offers less privacy but easier features and doesn't require a 350 GB download.

Paging @LoyceV. Would you be happy to be a trusted third party and confirm this PM?
I could, but there's not really a point: bitcoinermatt has -3 already, so obviously he has nothing to lose. Verifying the PM doesn't add much, and I have no reason to believe the PM is fake.

That being said, I can verify it if OP trusts me and sends me his CAPTCHA URL (so I don't expose my IP and don't have to spend 5 minutes clicking fire hydrants) and password by PM. After this, he'll have to reset the URL and change his password. But again, it's probably not worth the effort.

Hello, concerning your Paper wallet issue, if you want, I could help you recover it. You can send me a picture of the paper wallet and I'll tell you what to do from there.  Wink
I got a PM from this guy and just for the record, I think the people here ought to see this....
You can leave him negative feedback by yourself, with a Reference link to your post quoting his PM.

I wasn't aware Mozilla were offering a VPN, but on closer inspection it runs on the Mullvad VPN network, which is one of those recommended by privacytools.io. Do they accept bitcoin payments?
Yes Smiley Or cash by post Tongue
But I'm ashamed to admit my "favourite" payment method for Mullvad: BCH Shocked Unlike Bitcoin, it's accepted by Mullvad with 0 confirmations, and fees are low. You can literally pay any amount, so if you want a trial, just pay them for a few hours. I'll PM you a 12 hour account (€0.08, just because I like Mullvad).

I remember the days I paid around 0.001BTC per day for a VPN, that now gets me almost a year.

What is the problem in to make your own blockchain parser?
This is easier Smiley
And I don't mind the fact that each file can be verified at an independent third party.
12199  Economy / Reputation / Re: A Single User With Multiple Accounts: Are There Reasons For Them Being Accepted? on: February 17, 2021, 08:53:41 AM
So what @LoyceV is saying is that it is alright to have multiple accounts doing signature campaigns as long as the forum knows about it?
Isn't that obvious? If you take my car without my consent it's stealing, but if I tell you you can take it it's okay.
As long as a campaign manager knows about it, they can take an informed decision whether or not to accept your alt account.
