Probably mining on Luke_Jr's Eligius pool (no user requirements, just a Bitcoin address)

I'm still using Ye-olde LinuxCoin on a USB stick. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=7374.0;allI haven't messed with it. We have a saying, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!" There is a more up to date Bitcoin mining distro with a different name somewhere on BitcoinTalk.

It's not 2 months (60days) to start a PayPal dispute for non-delivery. It's 45 days! Don't fall for that one.

The problem with Bitcoins (v1) is a few people have most of the supply. Much like fiat in the real world LiteCoin (v2) is fairer, in that people who can build FPGAs/ASICs cannot gain an advantage in mining speed I'm thinking (v3) needs to have a in built peer-2-peer exchange too. The Money Revolution has only just started, and like the car, it's not going to stop with the Ford Model A

I will not accept PayPal due to the high fees and fraud potential. Is an eBay ban waiting to happen. This unit is now out of stock on the ButterflyLabs website. This order has already been paid for and accepted. Out of stock because it's impossible to build because of the power requirements! What you will get is 60x 25GH/s Little Singles or 30x 50GH/s Singles (assuming it's not a pre-order scam)
|
|
|
wasteful You could put the part exchanged FPGA singles in them. People would still buy a 25MH/s (2 BTC a day) FPGA Mini Rig if it was "in stock".

MtGox used a Barclays account in the UK to store a quantity of money. By using a local money pot it got around exhange fees. I think the banks got wise to this and closed them down. Also Barclays owns PingIt. The money changers want their cut and don't want anything threatening their business model.

Yes from London England, looking at his other sale, you Americans write the date back to front! You say it 3rd of April, 2013. Day-Month-Year is logical smallest to largest time unit! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=166916.msg1743076#msg1743076I wonder what made him sell out of Bitcoin so urgently, beside a family thing. I wonder if there is rumor going around the City of London about Bitcoins imminent demise. Muhahaha..

I would buy it if you accepted PayPal and shipped Royal Mail Special (Insures Us Both For £500 for free, and £1000 for an extra £1) Sadly don't live anywhere near London, but do have 1440x100% positive feedback. Just film it working before packing and shipping and nobody can dispute the sale, that's what I do. Crazy I see people bidding $1,151.00/£760.44 for a used ZTex FPGA Quad, you can buy them new for that. But the FPGA's, which can only be used for one specific purpose, are now definitely not worth this much. I though FPGA's were re-programmable?

The reason i felt they weren't scammers was due to a forum post on this site: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=159700.0The guy says he has 8 of them, and is selling them as he has better ones. The question is how did he get 8 jalapeno units? Due to paying with PayPal, and only spending 150$, its not a serious loss, and i have 45 days from yesterday to actually attempt to get a refund which is why i went through PayPal. He has 8x FPGA Singles, not ASIC Jalapeños He's trying to sell his 8x Jalapeño pre-order (could be a scam/maybe he cannot get a refund/trying to profit from his place in the queue)

If you want to use CPU/GPU you might try LiteCoin instead, it's been designed to stop FPGA/ASICs unfair advantage.

I'm all for the fee being automated at a set percentage to save confusion over "why my bitcoins not arrived yet!?"

sounds like the pool has gone down.
have a backup pool to switch over to
I recommend 50BTC.com and BitMinter.com

Its possible to buy even 0.01 BTC (1$)
Yes but lets say me and a group of people would like to buy 1 Bitcoin. How would we as a group do this and have it evenly divided among us in an automated fashion? lol Group of 4 people buy BTC 0.25 each, group of 10 people buy BTC 0.1 each, just change the send to wallet address.

Yeah, boycott me because I got a device I paid for. Makes so much sense.
Do you agree that the bet was lost? Like I said, I'll probably have them ship it to me when the rest of my order is ready to go as well. I certainly prefer they NOT ship it until at least the next difficulty adjustment Well he agrees it wasn't "shipped" straight from the horses mouth. It never left the BFL building, "co-location" was not the bet.

ITT: People who pre-ordered and canceled or didn't pre-order at all, whining that they missed the boat. What boat? The BTC 75 ($10,000 today) boat. The least they could do is accept only BTC payment, like Avalon, and provide demand for Bitcoins.

What are they going to do with all those Mini Rigs Boxes with Fans? Refurbish? Devices to cool down all the hot air from Loudmouth Josh Zerlan / BFL?
They can fill them with all those trade in FPGA Singles. Someone will still buy a 25Gh/s FPGA Mini Rig if it's "in stock".

I love how BFL is doing everything that Team Avalon is doing...
Except you know, actually shipping a product.
This +1

Thank you. Somewhat remarkably, after posting that, they reduced their specs and raised their prices. Hmm. Chalk it up to supply and demand: The more people who pre-order, the less there are available for the next guy, hence the increase in price to be fair to all and to protect the network. Raising the price to late entrants kinda makes it look like a Ponzi scheme though. But at least we didn't have to listen to stories about how every ASIC they produce is their baby and they don't want them going to untrusting owners. LOL (Avalon Adoption Agency)
