1261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Keep hodling your Bitcoin on: May 15, 2023, 06:15:10 AM
Therefore I want to urge all my fellow bitcointalkers to not lose interest in holding because of these little drops in price  keep holding your Bitcoin .
Nobody can be forced to follow your wishes; everyone has the right to make their own decisions. That might be good to you, but it might not be for others.

It will definitely boom soon
Oh wow! Would you take responsibility if something went wrong given the statement you made?

What we have here is just an opinion and it will be on your own discretion how will you decide towards the matter, of course, we will see some post here urging us to hold despite what's happening in the market these days and we should know too that it is indeed the right thing to do especially if we are hodling for long term purposes. But if the investors will back out after seeing some declination, that's on their part because they have a weak hands and it's a good thing for us as we do not want that in our community.
1262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 14, 2023, 05:40:12 PM
Just a few hours and we will witness the Eastern Conference Semifinals - Game 7 between the Boston Celtics vs the Philadelphia 76ers! Which team do you think will step up their game?

Breaking News: Ja Morant is now trending on Twitter again because he was seen flexing a gun on his Instragram Live.

Ja Morant is trying to be a rapper rather than a NBA player. Shannon Sharpe was right in his claim that Ja was "hustling backwards."
Oh crap, not again. Let's wait for the confirmation if it's a real gun or not.

But assuming it is. The question of "Why?" will come out.
Why does he always bring a gun? Is America not that safe anymore? Are they back to being the Wild Wild West? Is he on drugs or did some screws come out? A lot of money is at stake in his name and he will be wasting it if ever the NBA decides to cut him from being a player due to this problem.
I want to hear what Jalen Rose will say about this. His last statement for Ja Morant and his father was an eye-opener not just for them but for all the players who are in the same state as him. But this is strike two and he should've learned his lesson from strike one. Also, his strike one is not like a flagrant foul in NBA but more of painting black on his image that is being idolized by kids.

We will see where this will go.

Well seems like Ja didn't learn from his suspension. Maybe he enjoyed the time off from basketball.

Wouldn't surprise if this time it will be a real suspension.
What are these people thinking anyway. Pretending to be a gangster even though he grew up in a normal family at a normal school and everything. Why does he want to be something he is not. He has everything anybody can wish for but still causes problems like this.

The Grizzlies will be the villain for years to come I guess.  Grin

I thought Ja Morant got some help this time because he said it himself before that he will take what happened to him seriously for him to be a better version, but what happened is the better version is his worse. Seriously though, this kid should be surrounded with people that have real goals to help him achieve his full potential in the court and not being a gangsta when they aren't.

Remember that a real gangsta like Damian Lillard is not even bragging it, he knows what's the true meaning of it unlike Ja here who just wanted to be the next Ja Wick, but the worse version.
1263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 14, 2023, 05:17:12 PM

Kambosos is easy to read because he is not a technical boxer, but Loma, who has been in this industry for a while, possesses the experience that will be advantageous against him. This matchup is undoubtedly thrilling, with Haney being the favorite while Loma aims to prove himself, as some perceive him to be past his prime. While we cannot predict the outcome of this fight, I personally like to bet on the underdog.

This fight should not be like that of Kambosos because we know how Loma can throw punches from multiple angles and also he has the speed and power compared to Haney's last opponent. By the way, both of them have a chance to prove their worthiness right here and this fight might gonna be Loma's last one if he will be beaten hard and Haney should not slack off either because it could be a career destroyer for him if he is knocked out and his weakness will appear after that just like Amir Khan.

I sure do hope that it is still the case of Lomachenko where he can definitely give any other opponent some hardships in the middle of the fight from reading his movements as he will be hard to guard from throwing serious punches in multiple angles, other than that, his defense is also hard to penetrate which makes him almost invulnerable from the heavy punches. This will be interesting because people are still looking forward to see Loma's old form which I think we will as he himself know that he didn't have a good performance in his return.

You are late comer but you are not too late, the party is still here.

After 3 more halvings, 98.4% of total supply will be mined and imagine from 2032 to 2140, more than 100 years, there will be only 1.6% of remaining total supply will be mined.
If you are wondering about decision, this fact is not challenging too much for you to make your decision. Join or miss the party.

-snip-

being early or late is just a relative term. even if you are early, if you don't do anything, then being early is useless but if you think you are too late, but you have done something like stashing some satoshis, then you are much better as compared to the one who was early but did nothing. so contemplate on what you are doing doing these times. if you think there's future in this market, act now. but don't regret if you just observed and did nothing today.

I agree, it doesn't really matter whether if you invested much earlier or just invested this year. The important thing is to start your journey as fast as you can before any day goes by without doing anything aside from saying to yourself that you're already late because a lot of things has happened. There are pretty much dozens of reasons why you should invest now instead of doing it later, remember that gains is always a gains and you will not get that if you're still doubting at the time you're on.
1265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My friend's investment in Bitcoin on: May 12, 2023, 09:11:27 PM
One of my close friends his name is Naher. He came to visit my house. Once while discussing with him, I mentioned the name of bitcoin. He wanted to know what bitcoin is? I was telling him that bitcoin is a digital cryptocurrency coin launched in 2009 by a man named satoshi. I tell him Bitcoin has been around for 14 years. I give him more idea about Bitcoin. At one point he expressed his interest in investing in bitcoin, I told him that there is a possibility of not only profit but also loss from investment. To invest you have to take risk. My friend invests in bitcoin knowing profit loss. He works for a salary of about $400 per month. He invested about $500 in Bitcoins. I didn't show my friend interest in investing in bitcoin. He himself knowingly invested in bitcoin.
Did I give my friend the right advice?

Well, I can say that you did the right thing for telling your friend that there's a bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. But hopefully, what you wrote here in this discussion is also exactly what happened and it's not that you're almost forcing your friend to invest into bitcoin because $500 is a huge sum and if things get worse, you could be blamed because you're the one who told him to invest. Don't forget that our purpose is just to give them some ideas and let them know the existence of cryptocurrency, now if they are interested then they should be the ones who will take the next step.
1266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: May 12, 2023, 08:55:59 PM
Congratulations to Errol Spence, he is now inactive for a year. Maybe it is best for boxing if he stays inactive for a while. If there is no Thurman or Crawford as his next opponent, he should be stripped of his WBC. I doubt he will face Jaron Ennis after a year of inactivity, so hopefully, the IBF belt will strip him too. The WBA also has a regular champ in Stanionis which is enough to warrant as a mandatory but corrupt Mendoza is buying Spence some time and mandates a fight against Vergil Ortiz. I really hate seeing Ortiz and Stanionis fighting each other at this early stage of their careers. Maybe Ortiz should pursue the WBO belt. I want to see Ortiz, Stanionis, and Ennis become champions and then face each other in unification bouts.

He's already inactive for a year already since 16th of April because that was his last fight versus Yordenis Ugas.

As of this point, I don't know what to say anymore because the boxing industry is getting more and more corrupt as instead of giving the people the entertainment for the fight they wanted, these sanctioning bodies are even under someone else's payroll to help a boxer retain their belt for a much longer time without having any fights in the process. This should change because people will lost slowly lost interest towards the boxers and its industry if this issue drags on.

Well, it's good that many think like me, unfortunately the boxing industry is like that, and it's not just boxing, worldwide it is known that FIFA and many other sports entities are the same, it's a shame, because they prefer their monetary interests Before sports, I am a fan of soccer and contact sports, I am because I practiced them and it can be said that I still practice them and I know them, I also follow many athletes and I know what their strengths and possible weaknesses are, so The reason is that I also see that things like Spence's do not add up to me, now we will see what he will do after this, Crawford would be the one to fight, but I don't know what to think of Spence.

One thing is for sure though, this kind of holding up a fight is happening on purpose and I seriously think that Spence is just trying to buy some time as long as he could because he knows that the current Terence Crawford can literally tear him up into pieces especially now that the latter thinks that he's being toyed with Spence and Al Haymon of the PBC. They are just taking advantage of the situation while they are in the A-side that's why Crawford has no other choice but to wait.

I know that this industry is also a business industry but on the other hand, it's an entertainment industry as well meant to give people the entertainment they wanted. It's okay to make business, nobody is preventing that but at least they should balance it rather than making the belts their own hostage.
1267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can I be profitable in the NBA PLAYOFFS? ===>check inside on: May 12, 2023, 08:26:31 PM

Nuggets +2.5 at 1.95. Both bets are $50 each.
Good luck on this bet and I think you're going to win this bet as there will be no CP3 for the Suns for tomorrow's match. This could be it for the Nuggets and could be the last game for Suns if ever they lose.

This bet seems to be the easiest for OP tonight. They could have gone 2-2 if the 76ers didn't collapse in the 4th quarter. Currently, the Suns are in control with a 25-point lead. While the Suns may not necessarily let up, it's safe to say they won't be mounting a comeback in this game.

Congratulations in advance to the Nuggets on reaching the Western Conference Finals!
Congratulations to stadus and as well as the Denver Nuggets for advancing, that was really an easy bet. While the Nuggets are celebrating, there goes the blaming and flaming from the fans of the Suns on the web and they're disturbing Kevin Durant on this loss.
It's just hard to accept for them that their best team has lost this playoffs. Another team that has been dominating before this playoffs and then gets kicked off by a better team. I can remember the Jazz on them but that team has nowhere to be found now.  Undecided

Ayton's injury really put them into a messy situation which led them to an elimination last night because they've got no good cover inside the paint and no rebounds coming from their end. Booker was already having a hard time too in the first quarter and then there's Murray who keeps talking at him to mess him in his head, which really is effective by the way. Cam Payne put some good stats but that is not enough to keep the team afloat.

Warriors @ Lakers later, this will be a tight game.
1268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 12, 2023, 07:45:19 PM
Suns, lol.

What is this? 51:81 at halftime, seriously?

This looks like an exact replica of last season's conference semi finals vs the Mavericks. In that game they were also down 30 at halftime, at home.

In a do or die game you cannot perform like this and not play any defense.
Well, I am glad they are out, being the favourite to win the chip after the KD deal.  Grin

Denver deserves to advance 100% and if they keep this up they can go to the finals. Against the Lakers they are 2:2 this season, both teams winning their home games. Against the Warriors they are 3:0. Seems like this season can be the one for the Joker and the Nuggets.

Phoenix is mentally broken already in this game and it's obvious that they are giving up already, even with KD, with no Chris Paul and then Ayton having a rib concussion, there's now way they can offset Jokic performance in this series.

So it's either Lakers or Warriors for them. I think it will be interesting series whoever the Nuggets are going to face, Lakers have AD if remains healthy against Jokic, or then Jokic seeing the night mare again of Draymond guarding him at the post.

You could see the Suns give up half way through the second quarter. I think Ayton being out mentally messed them up before the game even started. This has been one of the harder games to watch in recent memory. The Suns were hard fouling and talking trash… I feel like they’re poor sports when things don’t go their way.

Yes and it's an another 2nd round exit for the Phoenix Suns, this playoffs have been much worse compared last year when they had a good run at first because the Mavericks are a team that they can handle but for the Nuggets, it turns out that it's too much for them to handle. Plus their core being injured gave them a pretty hard time on the court with Booker struggling to rectify his performance which led them to an early loss.

We'll see who will take the fall this time as usual, it will be a blaming game in the end.
1269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can NFTs last forever? on: May 12, 2023, 06:59:37 PM
All of the NFTs you know and love today, have their data stored their on centralized servers (images, video, etc). What is only stored on the Blockchain is just the properties of the NFT itself. While you're basically the "owner" of the NFT, you could lose technically lose it if the centralized server hosting the content of the NFT goes down.

So, what's the point of investing in NFTs if they can disappear in an instant? Unless all of the content is stored on the Blockchain itself, I don't see how NFTs will be able to last forever. Are there already solutions in the works that I'm not aware of? Please enlighten me on this. Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

NFT's are good and I personally look at it as an investment good for short term holding only until you will meet that buyer who will spend a huge amount just to acquire it but knowing that factor alone, it will be hefty investment and responsibility that has a lot of risks because some investors are wise enough to only invest in projects that has more chances than risks even if their money are overflowing already. Hence why I did not buy any of those NFT's.
1270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 11, 2023, 07:47:00 PM
No matter how we try to say it, Lomachenko was just unfortunate because he got injured during the time of his campaign where he almost got all four belts to be the undisputed champion at 135 but it is what it is, Devin Haney was fortunate enough because he was availabe by that time and took advantage of the situation where Kambosos upsets Teofimo Lopez who defeated Lomachenko before hand. This time, Loma will have another chance again to campaign at the title he wanted but it won't be easy as Haney is not that easy to defeat.

I think this is Loma last chance to fight for the belt, unless Haney will move to 140 lbs after he win this one. So most likely he will have another crack of either belt but there are a lot of young blood as well in 135 lbs like Shakur who most likely be also a hard fight for Loma at this point.

Others are saying that Canelo is starting to decline in his last fight against Ryder because of age and wear and tear. Loma is 35 years old, so this is very interesting match to see if Loma still has it to become a champion against a young fighter in Devin Haney.

There is a chances, yes, that this will be Loma's last bout if ever he will be defeated by Devin Haney while for the the latter, I don't some reasons at this point why should he move towards the next weight class because there are still boxers lined up for him like Shakur Stevenson and there's Gervonta Davis who's likely to make his move too. Shakur will not be facing Loma in the future if ever Loma gets defeated, there's no reason and Shakur has been named already to be Haney's next opponent if the current undisputed will be successful in his defense this month.
1271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 11, 2023, 05:20:25 PM
...So now we look for either another Mexican in David Benavidez or a rematch with Dmitri Bivol.
I observed that most people online are demanding a Canelo vs Benavidez fight. This fight would be huge although all fights for Canelo are big even if its opponents are not from the top. As for Canelo's earlier quote about not fighting another Mexican, well I guess Benavidez has no Mexican citizenship and is born in the US so maybe this fight will happen.
Yes, I agree. A fight between Canelo and Benavidez will attract more people rather than a fight versus Bivol for the rematch, people already know the likelihood of the outcome and besides, after watching Canelo's fight recently in his tune-up, he's not that explosive anymore that is why it's better for him to give the chance towards the kid rather than face an inevitable loss from Bivol.

So far, there's nothing that changed about Canelo's response on who's next ever since his loss to Bivol. Bivol has already accepted the challenge of fighting for the undisputed belts at 168 but Canelo is stubborn and wants the rematch at 175 for Bivol's WBA belt. Bivol will put him to school once again but I am hoping for the champion to be more aggressive and try hurting Canelo because these corrupt judges will always try to change the outcome when the superstar is losing.
No doubt, I mean look at his recent performance against John Ryder, that is surely not the Canelo we've known and facing Bivol right away will just add another embarrassment to his career and a loss as well. If he will pursue Bivol then it's clear that it's a redemption fight for Canelo but it's funny because he is not willing to risk his belts at 168 and still choose 175 where they first fought.
1272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 11, 2023, 04:55:31 PM
The Warriors won by 15 points. That was awesome, and now the series is 3-2. They will still be on the edge in every game, but they have a chance to win the series, especially if they win on the road, which is difficult.

Green and Wiggins made great contributions, but Thompson hasn't found his rhythm yet after having a great Game 2 performance.

The top performers for the Warriors were:

Curry: 27 points
Wiggins: 25 points
Green: 20 points
Yes, and it might be scary because we might see Game 6 Klay at Crypto.com? And I think it's the contribution of Green who really covered what the Warriors is missing on Thompson right now. Although there are reports that AD might not play in Game 6 because of concussions, but I think he will though, he just need to take a rest.

Now the Warriors won on a must win at home, can they do a must win in the road or as the predictions of 6 games for the Lakers will happen next game? Lakers now, opening at -1.5 at home as favorite.

Still a mystery who will win at Game 6 but I'm certain that Anthony Davis will not sit-up in the next game because they can't afford to lose the game as well because Game 7 will be played at Chase Center where the Warriors got the most chances. Other than that, Davis's injury is not that bad and coach Darvin Ham already said in the post-game conference that he's still good to go towards the next game, he just needed some rest for now.
1273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: May 11, 2023, 04:34:40 PM
^  Saw the highlights and the face off.  Dunno maybe it's because I expected more from Diaz but it looks like he doesn't really care about this match.  It's like he's just there, make some sort of show and get his money.

I kinda liked Diaz here if the line is good but looking at it right now, I would't put money in it if it isn't at least 3 - 3.25 or something.

Edit:  It's lined at 3 in Stake.

But that's what he's here for, to be on a show that makes money and nothing else. Although of course he could show a greater level of involvement - that would be professional.
By the way, I don't understand very well the balance of forces of the participants here - is Paul the favorite because of his size? It seems to me that Diaz has a good chance anyway, after all he is a professional fighter, even if not a pure boxer.

It's not that.  Yes they're here for the money but Nate Diaz cared about winning too.  But not in this case, not for this match.  This time it's purely for the money.  He prolly didn't even train that hard.  Just a few sessions with the mits, some running, some cycling and a whole lot of weed and just chilling at home.  Lolol.  And that's why the line is wide...

Diaz could prolly use his cardio to gain an edge but Jake Paul showed he has good cardio too when he fought Anderson Silva.
Undoubtedly, Jake Paul really have an advantage in this fight and boxing ring is his convenient ground whereas Nate Diaz is not that comfortable because he spend almost half his life fighting MMA. The latter may train in the last 2 months or slack on his needed preparation as long as he want but neither mentioned scenario will make his probability to win increase. Nate might've underestimate Jake because he's not that good, to be honest, but comparing these two, Nate will literally have a hard time.
1274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you still do business with them? on: May 11, 2023, 05:49:20 AM
I know that bittrex plays a role for the history of the crypto market as they're one of the biggest exchange before Binance became one. But, I wouldn't step any on their territories when they come back to business. Just no for me and I wouldn't even think twice with that.
Even if they'll comeback with such good offers and promotions, that wouldn't enticed me of using them and that's even going to give me the thought that they're trying hard for it but still, not gonna push me into using them back.
Bittrex was once among the top crypto exchanges with high regards in its security, so I think it’s still reasonable to do business with them and trust my funds again into their exchange. However, maybe this time I will be more cautious not to put all my funds to them so that if this scenario will repeat, then I won’t have to deal with regrets from losing huge amount. I know Bittrex was very stable way back then, but still it’s safer not to put all in.
1275  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a web3 casino for you? on: May 10, 2023, 09:58:50 PM
For me as long as it involve crypto and the rest of the technology that involves around it, I can call that as a web3 casino. Decentralization isn't likely to be achieved on a casino, the only closest one is Bitcoin but I can't tell if it can still be called like that.
You have a wrong understanding, most of crypto are centralized and any casino that ask you to submit KYC is centralized which mean those two reasons already ruin WEB 3.0 definition. Gambling using Bitcoin isn't decentralized too because you need to send your coins to the casino and the casino have access to your coins.

Until now there's no real WEB 3.0 casino, most of them are less decentralized casino.
True. Web3 concept is just only seen in the paper but it will never be realized in existing centralized casinos as decentralized casinos these days are just rare to see. You could be gambling in decentralized ones but you can’t guarantee that you are not gambling in an illegal and scam casino. That’s why forget about Web 3.0. Having decentralized perspective will always be ideal but that is not what we seen in reality in gambling. So just settle on what is the trend these days and what will make your funds more safe in gambling.
1276  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: tips for profitable investment in bitcoin on: May 10, 2023, 09:40:06 PM
you can also add to what have here if I'm missing anyone.
I will add that for a profitable investment in bitcoin, you also need to know the risk involved in the investment and how to handle them. Having an idea of what can happen will get you better prepared to handle it mentally and physically. Why some people take hasty decisions about their investments is at stake is because they have never expected what has happened to happen. Knowing the risk gets you a step ahead.
Risks are always present in all types of investments so if you want to enter investing, then always be aware of its risks and be ready on how to manage the risks. That is to avoid yourself from maximize losses that you can get from investing unknowingly. Have a regular risk assessment and as much as you can, learn to diversify. That is to improve the profits that you can get from investing.
1277  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin trading be my sole source of income? on: May 10, 2023, 09:22:14 PM
As a young person, I am overwhelmed by my curiosity in trading Bitcoin, but I'm not sure if it is appropriate for me to resign my white collar work and return to trading exclusively Bitcoin.

This was a conversation a buddy of mine and I had yesterday, and I felt compelled to bring it to this illustrious platform for the best types of advice and counsel.

Is it safe for a Bitcoin trader to quit their jobs and focus solely on Bitcoin trading if they can devote their time and attention to maximize the benefits in the Bitcoin world?
The decision is really up to you based on how you evaluate yourself in trading and how you see yourself in the future with trading alone. If you have the skills and winning strategies that will keep you beat the market and make you profitable, then it’s a good decision to focus for trading. But always remember that we are trading in a very changeable market, that sometimes when the market is in a bad shape, it’s also impossible to be profitable no matter how you tried to. So relying on trading alone can never guarantee consistency in profits, but expect that most who do trading are at loss most especially if they are new in trading.

Looking for investment method for 50$ daily

Is there online investment that return 50$ daily
Regardless of any type of investment, know that there are no guaranteed returns from it. Even in bitcoin, you can’t have the assurance to become profitable after investing because the success of the outcome usually depends on the potentials of the investor alone. And if there is any, you can’t expect that it’s legit and is going to last for long seeing a lot of investments are actually dealing more of its loss than its real gains.

6. CONFIDENCE : Trust yourself, trust the plan that you created and do not ever hesitate, in this way you can perceive the market information correctly and you will not experience any fear, panic and many more negative emotions.
It's hard for newbies to trust themselves in this market.

They might trust themselves at beginning but when they read news, fud, see price crash, their confidence will vanish quickly. They don't have enough experience to know that volatility is for short term and long term price will have less volatility up or down. It has very sharp growth since 2009 till 2023 with many big volatile price movements in those years.

They must live in this market and with time they gain experience which is important for them to trust themselves.
If they can’t trust theirselves, then what’s the use of putting their hard-earned money and taking its risk in the first place? Though confidence is not gained instantly, but they have to develop it within theirselves throughout the process because if they have no self-confidence, then they can never expect to beat the pressures and risks in the market. The market is full of challenges and unpredictable threats along the way, that’s why confidence in oneself is very crucial so we can succeed whatever goals we set in the first place.

Seems like Jake is back in the game of fighting retired boxers and then claiming that it holds some form of credit. I wanna see him fight someone in their prime. Like Gervonta Davis or maybe even someone like Inoue, so we can really see if he's up for the boxing industry or all of this is all smokes and mirrors. Don't get me wrong, I know the guy is good, after all he's getting proper training and coaching from a team that knows how to train boxers, but I just can't take the guy seriously with all these shenanigans he's putting up. I might as well just watch celebrity matches than someone who's trying to make a point but in the process of proving it ends up only failing himself and his fans. With that being said, I don't think I'm gonna watch or bet on this fight, not unless they do something crazy that would be meme-material.

He should because he needed to bounce back from that loss he experienced against a real boxer, Tommy Fury, and even if he continues to do this, the fact will not be removed that his limits and range are just for retired MMA fighters that wanted to test their luck in the boxing ring. Tommy Fury was not even a good boxer, what more if Jake Paul will fight some of them, I bet he will be embarrassed his whole life if he sleeps in the canvass.

These mentioned boxers are pretty much good to test Jake Paul's resistance and ability but unfortunately, both Davis and Inoue are from the lower division which means that these matchups are just impossible to happen because Jake's weight is at cruiserweight already.
