701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 25, 2023, 11:35:33 AM

Wow that's pretty cool you saw him play in Taiwan?  Did you see any other former NBA players when you went to watch? We rarely hear about where x-NBA players go to play after the NBA.  I honestly had no idea that he was playing Taiwan.  Every once in a while I hear about an x-NBA player playing overseas and always suprised about it.

I bet he wat still fun to watch no?
Dwight has a lot of memes on twitter about him playing in Taiwan during the last Playoffs since he is the only one that stop Joker during his time on Lakers before while Nuggets dominates Lakers on the last playoff with no one can guard Jokic.

He is having the best time of his career on Taiwan since he dominates the game there. I think is he the only popular NBA player playing in Taiwanand the rest is on China and other lower asia league.

I think you are right I'm not sure if there is any other big time players playing over there right now.  Honestly I haven't even been watching, what was his stats while he was over there?  I can't see him not dominating the paint in that league.  I don't have hate against the guy it's just he is a 37 year old big man who bangs down low.  His carrier is pretty much done at this point.

Pretty much the case with Carmelo as well, I mean we still wanted to see him play, he was given that chance by the Lakers, but it was obvious that he is no longer in his prime. And so as much as his mind wanted to play, his body is not cooperating.

And with the case of Howard, he had a good time in Taiwan, numbers are good and yet his team failed. Perhaps the Warriors really didn't see him adding any value on a already experience team and he could be detrimental if he still had that attitude from time to time.

I hope there's someone here who can share Howard's stats on his team in Taiwan. When looking at his stats from his last NBA team, they dropped significantly, with averages of only 5.9 rebounds and 6.2 PPG in an average playing time of 16.2 minutes. Perhaps these numbers may be significant for other teams, but the Lakers didn't see them as significant, which is why he was let go despite his significant contributions in helping the Lakers win a championship.
702  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you deal with financial stress? on: September 25, 2023, 07:58:30 AM
I’m also in the same shoes with you. Life after covid is too hard to sustain seeing all the goods and food prices have been surging high. Maintaining a single job is not advisable anymore. Most especially if you are a family man, you will really get a lot of stress thinking of ways on how to stay optimistic and manage to pay all your bills. Luckily I am a member of this forum that’s why I get to participate a signature campaign that pays well. But still it’s not enough. That’s why I need to find a potential investment aside from crypto so that if things get worst, at least I can still rely on my business to provide for my family.
703  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Quality over Quantity on: September 24, 2023, 09:55:53 PM
Recently I've seen alot of threads where people just jump into writing an incredible episode without putting their readers into consideration.
I'm not a fan of reading very long articles and most times I think some posts ought to be simplified and summarized to get ease of attention and from my observation,  it seems most users confuse quantity with quality and think, writing very long post simply means the post has quality  which is wrong.

I've seen very short and straight to the point post doing extremely  very well on the forum and people ought to them learn from  them.
Reading long post gets me more tiring so I'm not actually a fond of it. It would be more convenient for the readers to read a short post but the contents are well explained and summarized. Unlike those long post that have no clear point of view, and even if we get to read the whole post, I just think that I still didn't get the whole idea of the post. So for me it's best to avoid that kind of post. Let's focus on the content quality and how it can help and leave a positive impression to the readers.
704  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are memecoins tarnishing the image of crypto? on: September 24, 2023, 09:30:41 PM
There are thousands of shitcoins and meme coins in the cryptocurrency world that are the most scams we have seen in the past. And most of the people investing in this meme coin lost a lot of half, those people are mainly newbies who don't understand anything about the market and don't have good experience. Those people invest in these shitcoins and face scams, and lose their money at some point. Most of these people are newbies who join crypto and choose to invest in a few that have pumped a lot in the past that will never happen again, those newbies lose their money. That's why a new user should never take such a decision, he must be well experienced before taking a decision to invest or risk and face scams. So a newbie must take good experienced advice before investing, and stay away from meme coins must invest in bitcoins only to be profitable.

Most beginners join trading signal groups or investment groups on social media. Memecoin is very quickly popular in that way. get a lot of investors and then they destroy their hopes.
I think it's not just beginners who are involved, those who are experienced and really like the short profits offered by the memecoin project are the attraction. the problem is that they put their money into the right projects or just cast their net across a few projects. and hope that some or one of them will provide big profits.
However, we can only analyze to the extent of our abilities, and after that, we will not know what happened to the memecoin project.
Right. Even experienced traders take some risk with meme coins hoping that once they pump a lot, then those coins will instantly become hyped and increase their prices all of a sudden, making them instant rich if they decide to sell. But I think history might not repeat itself anymore. Their golden days have gone already and it might take another highly recognized influencer to make them pump again.
705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN: Give people time! on: September 24, 2023, 03:03:55 PM
While educating yourself is an essential and fundamental step, it alone may not suffice. If you truly want to thrive, you need to focus on being profitable, similar to a game where winning each battle is crucial. Surviving isn't the ultimate goal; it's about achieving success and profitability.
I think that with the goal of surviving, everything will just be built upon your way and that's where being profitable and successful will be achieved.
But it's true that it's not just all about surviving because it's like that you're just here to do things temporarily and you've got no clear goal.
Thus, everything that you do including learning the market, bitcoin and other things that are related to it will make you achieve not just success but also knowledge.
Exactly. You need to overcome first all the risk and make sure to survive from the inevitable losses that might come your way. Thus, once survival is achieved, eventually it will pave way to hit the goal of success and makes you highly profitable. Although not all investors have succeeded in the end because of their inappropriate attitude and strategies, but most likely if you just follow the basic steps in bitcoin investing, you will always win in the end.
706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Regis Prograis vs Devin Haney on: September 24, 2023, 12:24:26 PM
I also believe that Haney cannot handle getting hit by a powerful puncher like Prograis. He got wobbled by an old Linares and he looked hurt against Lomachencko as well. And he is also moving up in weight which means he is also fighting a bigger guy whom I believe will be stronger than him.

But maybe Haney learned a lot from his past experiences and is becoming better with his defense. While Prograis had a bad performance in his last fight some believe that he might be past his prime already and he is also in his mid-30s.

The question is, will Prograis be able to land punches on Haney? I mean, we know that Haney has mastered his defensive skills in boxing and has improved as he identified weaknesses in his previous fights. So, many still believe that Haney would win, despite being the challenger. While Prograis is known as a KO artist, Haney has faced KO artists in the past and has successfully handed them defeats.
707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: September 24, 2023, 11:42:37 AM
I read that this is the 4 fighters that Inoue wanted to face before moving up in division,

1. 🇵🇭 Marlon Tapales - This November
2. 🇵🇭 John Riel Casimero
3. 🇲🇽Luis Nery
4. 🇺🇿MJ Akhmadaliev

So he has his own hit list, similar to what Floyd did before and he all beat them. As least for this 122 lbs, Inoue's hit list is good.

He said this in an interview? That's a lot of names. His handler before said they are targeting Nery or Casimero after Tapales which I thought that he is moving to 126 after 1 or 2 title defenses. But if he wants 4 more names in this division then I guess he'll be 33 years old or something if he is still planning to move up at 126. I really want to see Inoue move up in weight for his 5th or even 6th division title. But in order to do that he needs to move up quickly since he is not getting younger.

Let's see if he is true to his words. I heard before that Inoue said he wants to fight Casimero in the bantamweight division, but it didn't happen. They could have gone for a unification fight in the past if Inoue had accepted Casimero's challenge. Instead, he waited for Butler to win when Casimero was disqualified, so Inoue would have an easier journey to become an undisputed champion.
708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If only property I have is bitcoin on: September 23, 2023, 09:59:02 PM
The reason why we are here investing is to benefit the profits right after but if we are no longer alive, those investments will never be worthy anymore. So if we can find a trusted ally that we can leave our legacy and make him continue and benefit from it, it would be a better decision. At least, we are able to help that person to grow and improve his own life.
709  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The excitement of the bull run news on: September 23, 2023, 09:40:02 PM
Bull run is probably our most awaited moment to finally reap all our hardwork we put in our crypto investments. That is selling them in return for massive profits. However, we cannot expect the same thing will happen always. Bitcoin halving is fast approaching and after that, we supposed to see bull run. But what if this time the opposite will suddenly happen. Instead of bull run, the market turns bearish instantly. That is why don’t expect too much and just prepare ourselves and our investments as well as we are still not sure what will be the situation when that time comes.
710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 23, 2023, 02:25:13 PM

But it could be that Phoenix is looking for something that values more. I just checked Ayton's contract and he is paid an average of around $33 million. Jusuf Nurkic has lower but nearly the same output as Ayton and is only paid an average of around $16 million yearly.

So, if the trade were to happen, it should involve Nurkic and a bunch of players in exchange for Ayton, right? Well, that seems fair, but personally, I'm more concerned about Nurkic's health as he seems to be injury-prone already compared to Ayton. Also, I've seen him in the playoffs, like when the Blazers were playing against the Nuggets, and it's evident that he couldn't effectively stop Jokic. So, in terms of defense and maturity in the game, I would lean towards Ayton. But I understand that teams involved in a possible trade look at how valuable the players they acquire will be, and they wouldn't agree to it if they didn't see benefits. At this moment, I would say it's a crucial decision.

It could be the scenario. Overall if I were the Phoenix Suns' management I also want to stick with Ayton. The guy has been with them since day 1 and is mostly familiar with their plays and chemistry already. If they are planning to trade Ayton then they better make it private as much as possible. Ayton may felt unwanted soon if the rumors were true that he's been in the trading block for years already.

But what I know is Portland's priority right now is to get an excellent deal for Damian Lillard. I have begun to wonder if Ayton is enough for Lillard. Phoenix though has Beal already and it might be difficult to put Booker at SF.

Nah, Ayton wouldn't be enough, even though he averaged a double-double. But with the Trail Blazers, it's an entirely different game. We've seen this kind of scenario in the past where players perform well on one team but struggle when traded. For example, Carmelo Anthony was a superstar with the NYK but struggled when he was traded, and I think there are lots of players with the same fate. So, I must say that the Suns are taking a high risk with it.
711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 23, 2023, 09:28:03 AM
It would seem that Howard was literally one step away from returning to the NBA, especially when there were rumors of Warriors veterans approving the idea of bringing Dwight into the fold.
It would be interesting to know what exactly went wrong, although I think either Howard failed to impress Warriors management during the interview process or he didn't accept the role he was offered.
Everybody thought he was already about to sign with the Warriors but it didn't happen. When things were almost happening smoothly, it went south.
The hype was already there, but it's unfortunate to know that this may not materialize. I don't have all the details yet since the article I read doesn't specify. I'm not sure if it's the Warriors not wanting to sign Howard or if Howard chose to play with another team. As of now, there has been no update on which team he will play for.

Howard surely isn't aiming for a big salary, as he knows he's worth a veteran contract. But we also know that CP3 and Howard would make a good tandem. Unfortunately, it's been canceled, so let's put an end to the speculation.
712  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should newbies invest with small capital in BTC on: September 22, 2023, 10:59:40 PM
No matter how profitable an investment is, newbies should always start putting a small capital in it. We don't know what will happen in the future so if that investment suddenly becomes out of value, at least we only lose an amount that we can afford to lose. And most especially that newbies have only limited knowledge, then it's hard to assume a successful investment later on. It's better to invest a little so you will only lose a little, at least you've learned a big lesson from it.
713  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading bots... do they work? on: September 22, 2023, 09:09:00 PM
Trading bots will never stay this long if they are not working on the first place. Of course they are but it also depend on the trading providers. But I must say that trading bots are not all the time effective and profitable. You can’t be trading and rely on it all the time. You have to trade on your own and improve what needs to be improve. Through frequent experience, you will learn to manage your own trades, and with developed skills and strategies, there’s no need for you to trust those trading bots but stick to your own trading ability.

715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: September 22, 2023, 01:34:56 PM
So maybe we might be talking at how Inoue will win and what round will it end for Tapales.

If Inoue wins, I'm guessing that this won't go past 6 rounds. Tapales is an aggressive fighter, although he has mastered the counter-punching style, he really likes to engage with his opponents. So, it should be an interesting fight to watch, but I'm afraid Tapales won't be able to time his attacks well against the speed and quickness of Inoue.
716  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A matter of family conflict regarding Bitcoin. on: September 21, 2023, 09:57:53 PM
Everything that involves with money might certainly trigger a conflict right after. Most especially for bitcoin since it's highly valuable and expensive. But lets not put the blame on money or bitcoin simply because they are not controlling us but we are capable to control ourselves. In the end, if we use our emotions in bitcoin investment, expect that we won't succeed on it but will only develop depression right after we lose our money. When that happens, it's normal to see some conflict especially inside the family circle.
717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - Nov 15 on: September 21, 2023, 02:46:02 PM

He should be the underdog. I would bet against anyone who thinks he could be the favorite on the betting sites. Just shoot me a PM.

There's no betting odds yes but this site below shows its early prediction of odds.

Prediction and Odds
[ Early Beta ]
After considering the both the fighters' stats and their performance patterns, the winning odds is calculated to be at 52-48 in favor of Takuma Inoue. Note, this is a very close margin, just barely better than a 50-50 case.

It makes sense, though, as Inoue is the champion, and the odds being very close are not surprising at all. As a fan, I just want to see a great fight, and I'm sure Jerwin is well-motivated to win because he wants to become a champion again. His last win against Wilner Soto is a statement that he has already recovered from two consecutive losses.
718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 20, 2023, 01:38:43 PM
It's undeniable that KD has won multiple championships, been a scoring champion, and earned the title of Finals MVP. I'm uncertain if Lillard will be able to achieve at least one of those feats. He may appear exceptional because he's the primary figure on his team, similar to Westbrook's situation when he was traded to another team, where he faced numerous challenges. KD, on the other hand, consistently elevated his teams. This is my personal opinion as well. As fans, we may have biases, but it's essential to consider the achievements.

I doubt Durant could have gotten all those achievements if he had been on a bad team. At least, it seems to me that if he had been in Lillard's shoes, his achievements would have been about the same as Lillard's, i.e. none. Besides, his exceptionalism is a bit exaggerated because the Warriors had won championships both before he joined the team and after.

Do we really consider the Blazers a bad team? I think they also had a good run during the early years of Lillard; in fact, they were consistent in the playoffs. That Dame and CJ tandem before was very dangerous; it's just that they failed to reach the higher levels in the playoffs.

Durant led OKC to the Finals, of course, with the help of Harden and Westbrook, but they fell short against the Miami Heat, if I'm not mistaken.

All I can say is that there are a lot of good guards, but Durant, with his size and versatility, is a player you can't find many like.
719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A friendly reminder by the Author of Rich Dad Poor Dad should be taken serious on: September 18, 2023, 07:11:31 PM
Robert Kiyosaki made his fortune from selling "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" book, not by using the methods that are actually in the book. the Rich Dad doesn't exist, unless there is something he is hiding from everyone.

However, he is correct in that the bitcoin price will reach $120,000 very soon. It probably won't happen next year though, but maybe in two years.
Bitcoin will definitely reach that certain amount, although we don’t know when is that certain time. But as we all know, bitcoin will never settle into a low price but it’s always on its new all time high. That is the reason why  the best thing to do as early as now is to prepare our bitcoin portfolio. With patience through long term hodling, that certain price for bitcoin will eventually happen one of these days.

If your post has been given merit and it is deleted, the merit that you were given will not be deleted. If your post has been deleted and it was given merit, go to your profile merit page and you will see the merit but the post as deleted.
That’s right. Once you have received merit for a certain post, even if you decide to delete it or it was deleted by the forum later on, your number of merits received will never change. However, the number of activity might lessen but the merit count is still the same. But as much as possible, try to avoid deletion in the future.
