I mistakenly thought that maybe if sent from exchange this cost can be lower or none but of course are even higher because all exchanges changed ETH transaction fees drastically long time ago.

This is truly a problem and 50$-100$ or even more in transaction fees makes GOLD token really hard to use from economical standpoint, especially for small or even medium players.
