great news,

now given the mintpal moolah a la Gox matter, who are you where do you live, what are your security procedures for the site, what cryptocurrency experience do you have ?
what coin communities are supporting you directly meaning they know you have done business with you and willing to burn in hell if you fuck-up
1282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING: PAYPAL STARTED MASSIVE ACCOUNT BAN ON ANYTHING BITCOIN RELATED on: November 04, 2014, 10:33:30 PM
Re. the OP's post, is this still legit/valid?  Is paypal still bending over btc or trying to now work WITH it , it seems.......

?

Still valid, and things are getting worse.

On Nov 18, according to new user agreement, Paypal will allow chargebacks to be filed up to 180 days after a purchase. If you follow the forums on Ebay & Paypal, chargeback & other scams by buyers are getting much worse. They (PP & Ebay) are forcing sellers to eat the costs of these scams.

This is partly due to the collapsing economy around the world. There are a lot of smart people that can't find decent jobs, so they are turning to fraud to make money. This, of course, is only making things worse as legitimate sellers have to either raise prices to compensate for fraud or quit selling products with small profit margins.

The new user agreement does forbid returns for virtual products (including cryptocurrency), but this won't hold up when the buyer claims their credit card or paypal account was compromised.

Openbazaar is going eliminate buyer fraud. Seller fraud may be a problem at first, but this will simply make name recognition much more important.

Part in red, very astute observation, analysis, and conclusion, I agree.      This is the whole problem with the CC industry, which is full of frustrated geniuses that can't get a regular job so they figure out how to cause harm to a perceived competitor.

1283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: HoboNickels - HBN - High Fast Stake - Version 1.5 Final Beta on: November 04, 2014, 10:26:29 PM
I think you're not doing enough to emphasize HBN's selling points. Wink

Such as.. this is an inhouse, instamined, crapcoin, dreamt up by a Cryptsy admin (Horus) who impersonated the hobo (jdtmp4) that got this pile of shit rolling.

hahahahaa, that's like saying to a supreme court judge, "so what you are a famous judge in the highest court in the land, your great grand father was a slave."

That was a long time ago and qualifies to be called 'history', this is a new day, present leadership is the ONLY true leader the CURRENT community
knows and are very happy with.

How old are you anyway, like 800?

Armis: I like your response to Hippie Tech. It is measured and puts the whole thing into a nutshell.

To Hippie Tech:

I'm not sure whether your question was to me, or through me.  I take it that your post was made in good humour, although I do detect a certain element mischief. Armis has responded to you with equal good humour and has given you what seems to be a good reply.

Nevertheless, I found your post interesting. If anything it strengthened the degree of my trust in HoboNickels, which was quite high to begin with. I quickly read through some of your posts elsewhere. Am I right in assuming that Cryptsy won't be at the top of your Christmas card list this year? One thing that I like about Cryptsy is that, in Paul Vernon, it has the name of someone who is tangible and exists. A face. Someone who is accountable. Someone who attends and speaks at cryptocoin conferences. Someone who obviously believes in what he is doing. Someone who is pushing the boundaries.

The HBN price went down slightly shortly after you posted, so I decided that it might be a good time to buy. I found it very difficult because HBN currently has an aggressive buy wall, which at the same time is trying to buy at the lowest prices possible. Every time I put in a top buy order, someone came in immediately with a higher bid. This went on for a period of days. I had to plough into the sell wall to get all the HBNs I wanted. The price went up and the buy wall followed. Perhaps somebody knows something?

Cryptsy inhouse vs Cryptsy Chat conception? If you are right that HoboNickels is a Cryptsy inhouse developed coin, then that would tend to bolster my confidence, in that it was developed by professionals who know how coins work and have all the experience and resources at the disposal of a professional organisation. Regardless of whether it was a Cryptsy inhouse coin, or developed by enthusiastic amatuers simply using the Cryptsy Chat facility to communicate with the intention of creating a coin in reverence to the mysterious 'CryptoHobo', there can be little doubt that HoboNickels is an innovative, well-established, well-developed and well-maintained cryptocoin.

Instamining? I have no fundamental problem with a coin being 'instamined' by its creator, or creators. Instamining is mining during the immediate period when a coin is released and the difficulty in harvesting coins is very low. I think it 'fair' that the creator receives an abundant, fair share. It helps cover the cost of creating and issuing the coin. It gives the creator useful resources and an interest in ongoing maintenance and development. In the fiat world it is called seignorage. Neither do I have a problem with 'instabuying' by savvy investors who also have a genuine interest in the coin.

I'm going to rise to your bait and list what I consider to be some of HBN's selling points:

  • well-established, and is based on well-developed coding;
  • innovative e.g. the first coin with multi-wallet functionality;
  • enthusiastic, knowledgeable, responsive and vigilant developers;
  • accountability. The lead developer has a face!;
  • HoboNickels has a backstory. Depth. Semiotics: symbolising freight trains, an alternative lifestyle, the real-world hobo nickel - a physical coin transformed into something of greater value as an alternative medium of exchange etc. With an Android wallet this imagery would be reinforced;
  • HBN does exactly what it says on the tin. It focuses on its main purpose. It is a well-intentioned, alternative form of currency. It does not diffuse its energy by pretending to be a cure for all the World's ills;
  • high POS rate of interest, although the difficulty is increasing (some would see that as a good thing);
  • advanced coin control;
  • current price stability within a predictable range of variation, although I do think that there is an imminent price rise waiting in the wings; and
  • security e.g. the ability for the new wallet to internally combine amounts is not only convenient, but also improves the security of the network.

I'm sure that others could add more.

But then, Hippie Tech ... you knew all that already, ... didn't you?  Wink

two words .. w-ow

I offered him advice like that and he got his panties in a bunch over it.   The little bitch actually went as far as filing a false report in the site's TRUST system to giving the public the wrong impression that we did business together.

1286  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Over 80 Top Level Domains - BUY WITH BITCOIN on: November 04, 2014, 07:45:24 PM
So I'm looking at the list of top-level domains on Wikipedia right now and I can't find any of your domains on it. Please, explain!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Internet_top-level_domains

That's because his are NOT actually "top level domains", TECSHARE practices deception.

Although I never did business with him he fraudulently completed a Trust record indicating that we did 1btc worth of busines effort to damage my trust rating: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=846683.msg9463593#msg9463593

Tecshare is a liar.

1288  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crowdfunding Project For High Strategy Board Games At Public Libraries Worldwide on: November 04, 2014, 09:33:35 AM
Looks Cool ^Smile^
What happens, if the crowd funding fail?
Do you return the money?

Essentially yes. Unlike most crowd funding sites this site has no termination date so the campaign continues for as long as desired.
Also unlike most other crowd funding sites this one also allows for refunds.  However, the campaign will not fail.

Regardless of the number of donations, as long as there is any donation a game will go to a library, we will simply subsidize
the remaining cost of that game.  As such the campaign cannot fail, but we do want more success than 1 game.

Currently 2 more people have pledged to donate to the campaign and I know the story will be published in The Einsteinium News
the campaign is moving forward.

thanks for the question

[edit, one of the people who pledged to donate has issued the donation 50,000 GMC today]

1290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EMC2] Einsteinium | funding science education, research, & development on: November 03, 2014, 06:48:09 PM
Good work Armis.

Very happy that EMC2 is making it's way back, for weeks have been pestering Poloniex users and Atomic-Trade to buy EMC2 while it's still below 100 and it gets serious. Saying that even 300 is still cheap for EMC2. Ehh I remember the days buying EMC2 at 800 .. good trading days they were, could afford to donate funds to EMC2 projects  Grin

Shamelessly I did arb 100k coins after buying the last dump to 55-50 (some 250k coins) for 71 on Polo .. then just went ahead and rebought everything to 70 and now 90, oh and Ripple market too Smiley

ohhhhh it was you that did the arb deal, that was sweet glad you go back in, even though you are back out again.

Stay tuned, in the next two days The Einsteinium News should begin to produce LONG TERM attention for EMC2, that attention will translate to stable and reliable growth.

I also received some news that if done will place EMC2 on track for numbers FAR above where they have EVER gone.  Let me repeat that part, NUMBERS FAR BEYOND THEY HAVE EVER GONE!!!!!  As that occurs we will make the announcements.

1291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][OLY] OlympicCoin (rebranding as Aricoin with new features) on: November 03, 2014, 04:42:39 PM
Do not sent coins on http://hashnz.com/!

Few guys sent coins there (me included) and coins never arrived on the exchange!
I hope that they just have problems, but be careful! it could be a scam!

wtf is that the 'send money first, ask question later' protocol

No, it is "sent small amount of coins and test it" protocol!

and then worn others it there are any problems.

again, it's your money do as you please but heck if the money went though and you sent more and more and more over the next 3 months and then suddenly everything is gone, at what point would you think it wise to find out more about who is running that exchange?

I totaly agree with you. But if I sent few coins (worth less than 0.01$ to make a test) there is no harm done.
But now I also see that even if deposit would be ok, I didn't think that there could be problem with withdrawl!

At this point (now) I think it is wise to find out more about who is running that exchange! (better late than never) Wink it would be even better to do that before I have sent my coins there...

[smile]

I recommend this lovely bit of reading to everyone interested in CC investing:

Isn't this what Blocknet is trying to do?? lol (assuming those coins are "ethical" and legit...I don't know is scams or not).

And look what's happend to Blocknet now.  Undecided Lips sealed

I know next to nothing about blocknet, please enlighten me -- tell me all you know about blocknet

scams come in all direction you don't not participate in a coin because one just like it was a scam, if that was the case you would not use any exchange, not join any community, and not invest in any coin.   You do your due diligence (investigate) let them prove themselves and only participate to the extent of your comfort.

get the bad guys with your bad net, not the good guys

World Aid Coin are thinking about some mobilisation in Humanitarian relief in South East Asia. We are looking for cooperation. We can put your coin down as one of our Guardians. A very senior guiardian.

You know I support you so I'll gladly bring your project to the attention of the EMC2 board, I remind you that our mission is science research directed so I will likely experience some push back for funding, but I know we can be a strategic marketing partner for your initiative.  We will use all of our social media resources to mention it.

You can also write up the press release or article and I will publish it in The Einsteinium News.

So yes, EMC2 and The Einsteinium News, will help you.

EMC2 experienced a really good Friday, followed by an impressive weekend.

Today, the markets opened with EMC2 advancing responsibly, which is wonderful.  The coin's distribution charts (http://emc2.explorer.ssdpool.com:9105/richlist) didn't appear to indicate much change.

Given the above EMC2 is ~80% more improved, meaning our numbers look better; and ~50% stronger, meaning EMC2 owners are more likely to buy and hold, than to buy to sell, or just sell, than we were last week.

[edit]

that was at about 9am, now approx 1hr later both markets took a high bounce, reaching as high as 139 @ Poloniex, and 105 @ Cryptsy.  Both markets clearly getting a good feel of that third digit.  On Friday I told some people at Poloniex via chat to get what you can of the two digit EMC2 because it was shaping up to graduate to the third digit soon.

As the markets do their dance please make sure to only sell EMC2 if you are happy with the profit you have made.  I've said this a number of times because many people have sold at one level only to see the markets rise substantially above that level moments, hours, days, or weeks later.

As the markets entertainingly flirt with triple digits for EMC2 please continue to do what you can to increase the strength of our coin.

We are mindful of the fact that we have not issued any grants, please know that is not by design.  We have put great efforts into finding science projects to make awards to, even projects to sponsor, the volunteer that took on that specific roll hit a brick wall too; so if you have any nominations for our science grants please let us know we have funds to give for that purpose and that is the coin's mission.

Critical Thinking With Armis

Strategy games rely on a player’s mental capacity to outwit his opponent, this differs from most other games that primarily rely on luck (roll of the dice, and/or pick of a card) to win. Brain games are often distinguished from strategy games in that they focus on static information you may know, and how fast you process it. Strategy board games are affectionately called brain games because they are often accompanied by lots and lots of meaningful thinking.

Checkers, and warri (also called mancala) are perhaps the most basic of strategy board games, these games are played more for fun than competition so they don’t often get to enjoy the ‘strategy game’ cache. In both games all of the individual player pieces essentially have the same power, duty, and movement ability.

The board game called “Go” is very similar to checkers and warri in the power, duty, and movement ability categories, however it is often played competitively as such it is often called a strategy board game.

Chess is the most well known of all strategy board games. In our opinion it rises above the previously mentioned games in that various player pieces have different powers, duties, and movement abilities, these differences add a layer of complexity to the game.

Armis is the newest member of the strategy board game family, it is distinguished from the others in many ways, so much so that we believe Armis is the first HIGH strategy board game. Here are some major distinguishing characteristics ... (continued at above link)"

I appreciate the support.

Remember, The Einsteinium News has issued you a standing offer for some FREE publicity for your coin.  Let me know when you are ready to take advantage of the opportunity.

1298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Calling All Cause Coin, Ethical Coins, and Conscious Coins Let's Work Together on: November 02, 2014, 10:41:48 PM
There is a little bit of subjectivity in what constitutes a cause, ethical or conscious [sic] coin.

I'm not doubting you want to do good things, but spending money on these coins is hardly going to solve big problems, and we don't know what agendas you have, what agendas you will have in the future, and on.

You quote "science" as if it defines all that is good in humanity.

Yet science in itself means nothing really, and philosophers of science (the real ones, not Kuhn and the social sciences mob), rarely agree on what a scientific process is or what science is there to achieve. Christ, they are teaching creationism alongside Biology in some schools.

Then we have the nasty sciences, like eugenics (gaining traction again), vivisection, and all the work that goes into the process of making horrendous chemicals, poisons, toxins, nuclear power.

For most cause-coins you have the ability to influence the community as a audience member (with no vested interest), or as a member with a vested interest, orn as a  community leader (with a vested interest).  As a community leader you get to decide to do right or wrong.

If you care get involved and make a difference.  You will learn that every little bit counts.

Just so you know, at EMC2 we are looking for projects to fund, so if you know of a school that wants a sponsor for their science fair we would like to do that, if you know of a youtube channel that wants sponsorship please let us know.  If you know of someone that is doing something truly interesting in science and wants some encouragement, support, and money please tell us who that is so that we could consider him for recognition.   We have funds ready to give, but not enough people to find the worthy recipients.

Would you help us in finding good science related causes to fund?

Did you guys make a wallet that works yet?

Fuck off please.

great call.

For most who see his post, it's just a simple, relatively harmless, insult.  But for those who know, like you and I, that guy is part of a growing evil force on this site.

He is one of those who are actually setting up accounts for the specific purpose of issuing FUD for pay.   It was bad enough when a member issued FUD in the first place, then they hid behind new usernames, but now some are actually hiring professional FUD artist to do their FUDding for them.   It' obvious this guy is part of one of those teams.

Recently I caught 8 of them at one thread spreading their evil.  His 'wallet reference' is his way of signaling to me that he is one of the 'gang' of FUDing thugs.
