skift.com is a nice clean looking site, you are invited to be an PICISI sponsor.

562  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BitChan - Anonymous Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Bulletin Board System (BBS) on: April 05, 2015, 06:21:46 PM
BitChan is an anonymous Bitcoin and cryptocurrency discussion board/bulletin board system (BBS).

BitChan is similar to imageboards such as 4chan in that there is no registration required to post and anonymity is encouraged but unlike imageboards, the emphasis is on posting text rather than images. Unlike traditional discussion boards where users must register an account and set up a profile before making posts, anyone can post on BitChan at anytime instantly. This means that users can no longer be judged by their username and instead can only be judged by the content of their message.

If you're interested in the idea, feel free to start your own topic or reply to an existing one. There aren't that many topics to reply to right now since the site is still very new but hopefully that will change in the coming weeks and months. Smiley

http://www.bitchan.org/

I'll try to make it there as often as I could.

You do know that anything anonymous tends to bring out the crazies right?  Hope you are prepared for some truly vial stuff in the coming months.
563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ARI] Aricoin | First Easy-to-use Currency [LIVE ON Cryptsy/Bittrex] on: April 05, 2015, 06:57:46 AM

Sadly, Aricoin is dead. So don't hope for a reply.

For months and months I saw the developer working night and day to do things to improve the position of the coin: change coin name, add block explorer, and get listed on Cryptsy.  I've never seen anyone work so hard to get their coin listed on Cryptsy; the coin was in first position for what seemed like months.   Most of the work was done by one person, it's a shame that the community didn't provide more support.

And how could you expect the community to support the dev if he never show up again, never reply any message, never told us what project he's doing. We don't even know if he really working on something or has abandoned us. And the market shows us what's going on. If he really want us to support, one two words should be nice

I said it's a shame that the community didn't provide more support, that was said in the past tense.

As for the future of the coin, how many of you are willing to do something to help the coin?  Are those who are complaining willing to get together to build the community?

Shame on PayGawZen et al  it's this sort of thing that makes it very difficult to do things in the cryptocurrency space.  This sort of thing happens often, instead of judging someone one actual performance people get caught up in glitz and what others are doing.

Many Japanese may be skeptical about the encrypted currency bitcoin due to last year’s Mt. Gox fiasco...

What a great way to start the article, let's remind everyone that when thinking of Bitcoin we should immediately think of that thief Karpeles...

I'm sure they aren't the only Japanese exchange, there is Kraken and probably some others. I googled their name and couldn't find Quoine on any of the volume comparators, but if they were the only exchange in Japan and trading at peak daily volume mentioned in the article, that would still be only 0.2 % of the coins traded around the world. It's not much for a country as rich as Japan.

the following three words in any order makes me instantly think of mt gox: Japan, exchange, bitcoin,

and such should be the case for every btc invested, so it is wise to acknowledge the elephant in the room early so that you could go about the business of the article.
569  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [04-03-2015] Looking Back On March: A Month In Review on: April 04, 2015, 04:45:19 PM
March was a perfect example of BTC maturing, it's a little more difficult to manipulate the market with media blurbs, shady exchanges changing numbers, and the like.

As much as people tried to muscle the rate over $300 it just would not go there.

576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: April 04, 2015, 01:23:59 PM
thanks bizz, I appreciate that

Nxt is still solid......the price could always be better, but there aren't many alts that haven't lost a lot of value over the last year.
As bizz pointed out, at least NXT is pretty stable price wise.

For the internal development: the dev team is still moving forward, NRS 1.5 will be coming out 'soon' adding a handful of useful features and getting rid of the need to have a visible command line. I'm pretty sure a lot of people will like that, even in crypto world...

There are a number of external projects (not even focusing on the crypto market space) that are building on Nxt, and some of those will be going public over the next couple of months.
As an example, take a look at Jetcoin:
https://nxtforum.org/news-and-announcements/%28ann%29-launching-jetcoin-supporting-tomorrow%27s-champions/?topicseen
The Jetcoin project had been in the pipeline for almost a year before we got to see this announcement.

For marketing:

is now a fully-registered legal non-profit company, based in the Netherlands. This will allow the Nxt community to engage with outside businesses/projects that require a more business-like approach, for example by sponsoring the upcoming PayExpo

Just to finish this post off, and this could be useful for Armis to attend, we are also sponsoring the Mind the Gap virtual conference, which will bring together the worlds of crypto and fintech  (including a few VC types, hopefully). Registration to attend is free, and there will be some very interesting contacts to meet. And a small Nxt-related announcement, I believe. Grin

Anyway, thats just a selection of what Nxt has coming up, so just to make it very clear: Nxt is a long term project.
The Nxt community is still in full flow, and the only direction we are going is onwards and upwards.....

thanks EvilDave  that was very helpful, and thanks for the PM too.

I could not stay the course and continue to find admins and sponsors for PICISI

Aricoin needs the community to work together with other communities to give their respective coins activity and purpose.

I'm aggressively working on PICISI a crowdfunding site presently under construction.  PICISI will allow campaign organizers to raise funds in fiat (USD, GBP, EUR, etc ...) as well as cryptocurrency of all types.   If Aricoin was a sponsor you would have the opportunity to drive interest and activity in your direction.   Armis endorses PICISI 100%, here is why all cryptocurrency communities especially your community should become a PICISI sponsor:

1) The cost of sponsorship is affordable

2) PICISI is the ONLY crowdfunding site that accepts both fiat and cryptocurrency for donations

3) PICISI is the only crowdfunding site that gives cryptocurrency platforms a place to enable their coin to be actually used, not just donated but actually spent by the person receiving the funds.

4) If your coin is a host currency at a campaign that means that every other CC that is donated to that campaign will be converted to your currency before credited to that campaign

5) The PICISI mantra is Promotion, Promotion, Promotion which means that we not only promote the PICISI message, but also the message of our sponsors, and the message of our individual campaigns. Rarely does crowdfunding sites actively promote campaigns; they expect the organizer to do all of the work.

For any one of the above reasons every CC community should endorse PICISI, you have 5 compelling reasons to endorse and sponsor PICISI.

PICISI is currently sponsored by:

Here is an article on PICISI sponsorship: http://www.crowdfundingpr.org/picisi-crowdfunding-sponsors/

PLEASE NOTE:  I offered FREE sponsorship on March 27th to Aricoin via coin leader however I didn't receive a reply to my offer.

579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: April 04, 2015, 10:06:33 AM
PICISI is seriously considering an ITO via NXT platform, however ever since we turned away from one of the other btc 2.0s  towards NXT the coin value has been steadily dropping.

Now, it's ok if the market value drops to a point of reasonable market correction, and it's also ok if outside forces like the rise of BTC caused a decrease in NXT market value.
But it is not acceptable if the tailspin it related to internal activity.

I want to start our coin relationship on solid ground; so I'm concerned and want to know how things are internally.

PICISI is under construction, we are doing a tremendous amount of marketing, recruiting, and planning, we need to rest assured in knowing our coin will be secure when we are ready to launch.

PICISI is currently sponsored by:
