922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PICISI: A Mutli-Coin Community Crowdfuning Cooperative Plan on: March 01, 2015, 02:46:19 AM
PICISI, as initially designed would have made millions for the coins involved it they actually performed as prescribed.  The reactions I received from the articles were all great, which is rare in the cryptoworld.  However, what I didn't know was that 90% of the people that responded only read a fraction of the material and assumed the rest:  some thought it was simply a place where their coin could be used, but it is far more than that; some thought it was a place where they could advertise their coin, it is far more than that too;  and a few even thought it was a site where they could crowdfund their projects, but it is far more than that too.   The bottom-line was that the plan was misunderstood.

Instead of trying to focus on the original plan, which requires massive organized participation, I've scaled it down to a size that requires far less resources -- PICISI-lite if you will (here's a peek:https://sites.google.com/site/einsteiniumbiz/home/page-3/archive).  This plan allows for branding while gradually introducing the heavier concepts over the span of 6 months.

I'm working on finding a vehicle host the token that will finance the start-up, once that is in place an Initial Token Offering will be announced.

PICISI project ontrack to do good.

Note:  Crypto is still trying to stand on it's feet.  And yet the cause/ethical/Conscious coins are already linking up.

Good things to come cause greater things to happen.

@Armis...just saw your PICISI post on the XCP thread, while I was hanging out with the neighbours.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=395761.msg10593586#msg10593586

Sounds like a good idea, and it's definitely something NXT could be used for, we have a couple of projects involving site development/sponsorship.
Come and post a thread concerning your idea on www.nxtforum.org ,  and lets see how it goes.

Thanks for the reply and encouraging advice, I will visit the site immediately.

I attempted to register, made a typo in the email address during registration so never received a registration link, now the system won't permit error correction or an alternate  account -- I'm closed out until the system cycles through unconfirmed registrations, perhaps 24+ hrs.

It just dawned on me as I was about to make the donations that the site has an 'all or nothing' arrangement  plus a delayed credit card charge (in case the campaign fails to meet goal), and the fact that they don't accept Paypal will likely make this a impractical donation vehicle in the future.    They use stripe.com which has a bitcoin donation tool but I'm sure that because of the whole 'all or nothing' thing that the low cost, high speed, easy maint of using CC doesn't factor in to them.

Sent $1.29 to each however system only shows $1.

Hello NXT Community,

I recently had an epiphany (PICISI) about a crowdfunding cooperative involving 10 CC communities that could actually rival Kickstarter and Indiegogo ... well that truly idea died quickly when I realized that everyone loved the idea but only a hand full was willing to do the work.   Anyway, since PICISI impossible to do with only a few people, I'm hoping to do a massively scaled down version of PICISI so that we could get our feet wet in the crowdfunding space while building the brand, upgrading the site, and maturing relationships so that in 6 mos, when we reintroduce PICISI, it will be the site it was initially designed to be.

At this point I want to raise funds to create a PICISI lite site, I'm told that you guys are one of a handfull of Bitcoin 2.0 platforms for the issuance of tokens.  I want to use your platform to raise funds to develop PICISI lite.

Our tokens will have actual value since they could be used to buy sponsorship opportunities at the site.

Please help PICISI as we grow along.

It's so calm that it's actually worrying.

I think that's a vacuum forming.

What do you mean?

removal of the life breathing air

this is what often occurs when a coin is out of vogue until it comes back in style for another brief moment, unless something meaningful is done to or for the coin, you could reasonably expect it to go dormant again for another long while.

I will be developing a crowdfunding site soon, contact me via PM if anyone is interested in working at the site.

@Armis - I did check out the site, but I wasn't quite sure how it works...I am in interested in crowdfunding projects, but we tend to use closed loop currency that can be controlled and distributed rather than crypto. I am open to ideas if you can tell me how it benefits Tagcoin...

Projects soon to be in action, please make suggestions where you see fit:

1)  $1 Donations
We all know how difficult it is to find worthy causes for serious funding, however we always run across Science related campaigns that we are more than comfortable donating $1 to, that dollar serves to motivate the organizer to press on, while inspiring others to give.

Tell us what crowdfunding sites we should register "The Einsteinium Foundation" at so that we could make donations at that site.  As you know we are already at indiegogo.

The donations will allows us to support the campaign, allow campaign owners to learn about EMC2, and possible allows us to make a public comment to the campaign.

Although indiegogo was not as friendly as they should have been to The Havekes Project it is still a good resource for this program.

https://experiment.com/discover is a good site to start making donations to science. Please nominate a campaign to receive a donation.  I don't know what the site's minimum donation amount is, I wrote to them (also asked if they would consider accepting CC) now awaiting their response.

We have 150K EMC2 to give away one USD at a time.

2) The Investment Loyalty Program

This was already approve, it will roll out shortly, please ready your accounts.  Here are the details again:

"The Investment Loyalty Program is a plan that will reward engaged EMC2 holders, it will be funded by the mining tax only in the absence of a project to fund in that particular month.

Here is how the Investment Loyalty Program works.  To qualify for reward:

1)  you must register an EMC2 address by the 10th of the month,
2)  only the top 100 registered addresses are eligible,
3)  you must maintain (no withdrawals) those funds in the account until the 10th of the following month.
4)  only one address per BCT  username

The Investment Loyalty Program is funded by the mining tax, it is ONLY used in the absence of a particular project to fund; as such, most of the time there will be no Investment Loyalty Program reward.  In the months where there is a reward it will be conducted as follows: of the properly registered accounts (10th of the previous month) on the 10th of the following month, the top 100 account values will receive a proportionate amount of the available funds.  Payout will begin on the 15th of the month.
Any withdrawal made from any registered address disqualifies said address for any reward for the target period.   You are advised not to use exchange wallets because the exchange may create withdrawals from the address without disturbing your account balance which will disqualify your entry.

This program is meant to reward engaged holding."

and

3) New Wallet

We are officially looking for a contractor to do our new official wallet.

Please list all of the features you would like to see in the new wallet, even items that might not  be able to be done

here are a few features I thought would be nice:

 -  multi-sig
 -  block explorer
 -  log out on closing
 -  block chain messaging

Also, please suggest contractors to invite to bid the job.

Although I have no firsthand experience working directly with the trust fund I'm told it is EXTREMELY challenging (time consuming and frustrating) trying to make withdrawals from it.   If you noticed it took about a month to withdraw 150K EMC2, where for every other wallet it only takes 5mins.   Headaches notwithstanding I'm proposing that we do withdrawals on a regular basis to keep funds liquid when needed.  I'm also proposing that all trust fund withdrawals, and project payments be documented here in this thread in some uniformed fashion.

please discuss

Djnocide was only able to squeeze 150,000 EMC2 from the trust fund, apparently a safety mechanism is built into the program that sharply limits the amount of funds that could be accessed within a short period of time after the previous withdrawal.

The campaign raised more than the 1M EMC2, as such is reimbursed for all funds withdrawn from trust fund, since only 150,000 EMC2 were withdrawn the balance of funds on hand go to Dr. Havekes: 211685.93669679

Let me know if the TAG community leaders have an interest in being involved with a multi-coin community crowdfunding platform:
http://cryptos.us/crypto-news/item/61-10-cryptocurrency-communities-to-unite-to-form-powerful-crowdfunding-platform

Did you have had a reply on this of Tagbond?

Maybe getting involved in such idea makes this coin more popular. However, it does not really relates with the original idea of a coin for Advertising and Rewards. Which is actually a nice and (at that time) innovative idea though. I'm proud supporting this coin since the earlier days, but I guess only time will tell whether this original idea is going to be a success.

you are the first person to respond from Tagcoin

936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PIMP] PimpCash | Fun Fast and Secure Digital Currency | PoS 69% | Quality on: February 21, 2015, 02:03:19 AM
Why is PIMP not currently registered with PICISI?

Finally solved the issues i had with Internet so I can answer properly

We support EMC2 and the initiative but as you already know, everyone working in PimpCash works for it voluntarily , and our first priority is to get the world pimpd, meaning developing the resources needed for pimp and get it to the markets and create businesses, games and services around PimpCash and then do bigger and more proper PR to get PimpCash to the non crypto users, we are a long term project, what I mean by this is that for the structure of the new CF (require 1000 points) I would have to prioritize it over me working directly for pimpcash, that at the moment i cant, as we still have a lot to do to fulfill our roadmaps and plans, so I would have to pass for now under this structure as I wont be able to make the 1000 points by myself, maybe in the future when more pimpcash working groups are build or with the altcoins foundation we can help in a bigger way, even so, we already helped relay the article with some nice graphic as EMC2 is a friend community of pimpcash Smiley Thanks!

Thanks for your comprehensive response, I'm sorry to hear that you are willing to let the opportunity pass.

You're the 2nd person to indicate that the min 1000 pt threshold seems excessive, the other guy has a team size of 4 and growing.   I do agree 100% that 1000 pts would be too much to expect of 1 person but of course I know that is achievable too.  The 1000 pts is based on an avg team size of 4.5 ppl doing 250 wk hrs ea.

PimpDev you are a marketing guru which is why this project is well suited for you as a team leader, individual, and campaign contractor.

There are just too many things working in your favor to simply let it all pass, if you don't want to form your own team OK, at least join EMC2 so that you could get credit for the work you do for PICISI.  Hopefully you will be ready for phase 2 -- when 10 other coins will be added.

Let me know.

What if i take The Promotion Director ??

Did my job promote all coin listed in picisi together at the same time ?? Or turn by turn ??

That is certainly a possibility, each person in Admin must be very knowledgeable about the plan, skilled in their tasked duty, and extremely helpful to everyone that seek assistance.  Your self-motivated action taking initiative with that assignment is exactly the type of qualities needed in PICISI Admin.

Appointment will be made at the end of the team Qualifying stage, those who stand out doing what they like to do will be offered specific appointments.

At the end of the Registration stage I might post an 'Admin candidates' list so that everyone could-weigh in as they see fit.  In the end, no one should be surprise at who is appointed because every admin will have earned their right to be there.

Admins are permitted and encouraged, but not required, to be additionally affiliated with an enrolled team.

Please start or join a team.

Hi,

i would like to join / help the team from Camorracoin, but i have to agree with others that i still don't fully understand what is actually required to do from us...also agree with the name change  Wink

1) The Name - the name is open to change but in order for it to change someone has got to come up with something that make everyone happy.  As I indicated the qualities should be: available in '.com', relatively short (~8 letters), funny sounding, pronounceable, easy to spell, easy to recognize, hard to confuse with something else, great if regarding crowdfunding and/or cryptocurrency; additionally nothing with a negative tone, or that translated negatively in any other language and if possible not too many different
letters.  If the name could make you smile when said that is good too.

2) Understanding PICISI - at this point my job is to have everyone that wants to understand PICISI to be able to understand it.  So I'm willing to do all that I can to help you.
As I explain it more and more I will eventually find shorter and easier ways to explain it.  The easiest way I am currently explaining it is:

Imagine what 10 CC communities would do if they cooperatively ran Indiegogo and Kickstarter.
 - we would allow for CC donations in addition to fiat donations,
 - we would encourage sponsorship everywhere we can (perks, campaign, and video),
 - we would give every member some free CC to intrigue them to learn more about the coin and to use it,
 - we would help promote the campaigns we sponsor because we want our message to be heard too,
 - we would find a way to promote the site, campaigns, all of the coins involved
 - we would share revenue between the 10 CC communities evenly
 - each community would have a minimum amount of work to do in order to get the benefits
 - we would create an admin to organize the day-to-day things,

That will give you a basis of what the plan is.  The detail and breakdown of each of those we can go though if you wish, but if you read
the following 3 short articles you will get some of the same info from a different perspective.

http://www.crowdfundingpr.org/10-cryptocurrency-communities-unite-form-powerful-crowdfunding-platform/
http://www.crowdfundingpr.org/cryptocurrency-angels-host-crowdfunding-cooperative/
http://www.coinfinance.com/news/picisi-a-mutli-coin-community-crowdfuning-cooperative-plan

It's easier for me to address very specific questions because I don't need to repeat info that is already known.

Please ask whatever you want because, my guess is if you have a question about anything many others have the same
question but just didn't ask for whatever reason.

Your questions help me to explain thing various ways until connection are made and we achieve the 'a ha' moment(s).

I don't think he is associated with any community, yet his is obviously talented and has writing, publishing, and multi-language resources, that's a great person to try to get on your team.   If you don't have many people on your team, and your team does the minimum required you get your due payout that you don't have many people to split it with.

Anyway let me layout some ways for you to consider involvement:

1) Team Leader - organize and form Team Bumbacoin
2) Team Member - if you don't want to manage a team, I invite you to join Team EMC2 we have room for you.  We expect to have 10 members so each person will be expected to produce a minimum of 100 points (assignment wk hrs) per month.  It's a low work threshold, and because the team is so large the slice of the pie is relatively small.   Other teams, I'm sure, will also be glad to have you.
and
3) Supportive Volunteer - this is essentially where you would help where you can and let us know so we could show our appreciation,

I also have a limited number of Admin spots that will go to people who are very knowledgeable about the plan, very motivated, and extremely helpful to everyone that seek assistance.

your article was added.

If you were part of a Team you at your team would get 10 wk hrs credit for that article,  I would recommend that you organize a team, or join a team.  The two teams above are looking for additional team mates.

Also, if you are a writer you may also want to offer your professional services to organizers when site is up.  see the list forming at the bottom of this post:   https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=957862.msg10480538#msg10480538
