1281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is easier, stop when you are winning or stop when you are losing? on: February 11, 2020, 07:28:19 AM
From my experience I find it easier to stop while losing already rather than keep on playing after a win, and this is the case no matter what game I play, as it seems that as soon as I got a win I can happily go away for a while but when I lose constantly its frustrating to see how easily you lose everything. So, I suppose there's some sort of control when to stop.
Control is very crucial once you are engaged to this activities. If you can manage to quit while you are  still in positive side that's much better, as you can enjoy your winnings. While in the otherside, it's frustrating when you keep losing and you are still trying to recover your money. Best to have balance mindset, both winning and losing should be well prepared.
1282  Economy / Economics / Re: Don't spend bitcoin. Not now. on: February 11, 2020, 06:51:05 AM
It seems to me that it makes sense to just keep bitcoin for now. The market should go up, so it’s more rational to store bitcoins before they grow, and only then you can do something with them
why does it make sense? the price has gone up to $ 10k it looks like this is a signal to sell, I've sold it at $ 10k, and now the price is 9800, maybe this correction will determine the direction of bitcoin again
Taking advantage with this short fluctuation will give good value to your investment, it follows the basic rules of buying low and selling high. If you can compensate with your strategy then it's also good to spend it while trying to buy it back with a much cheaper value. Be very careful with this style of
trading as you can be left behind or make your position in the bad timing.
1283  Economy / Economics / Re: Goverments creating digital currencies - Threat or Opportunity? on: February 11, 2020, 05:43:41 AM
I prefer a country that uses cryptocurrency rather than paper money, this will definitely be a good advantage for crypto currencies, with a country that fully supports Bitcoin will definitely become gold in the future
Country who are open thru innovations are places that good to visits when you are a crypto supporter. It's easy and convenient that you don't need to bring paper cash since it's can be process using your mobile devices.
It's opportunities to any government as long as they know how to deal with this system and have a good background knowledge to use it as an advantages.
1284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: February 11, 2020, 04:19:44 AM
Advance pick.  Dallas vs Jazz.

LuKa update.

Luka Doncic (right ankle sprain) will not play on Monday against the Jazz.

Jazz came from an impressive win against the Rockets, so basically this is a back to back game for them which they might be tired going to this game. However, with the news that Luka is still out, I think they'll get this win again, and they are going to build a win streak again.

Pick : JAZZ CLARKSON

Congrats for another win. And it's really  another Clarkson game impressing with 25 points. The Jazz able to snatch the win not even with Porzingris and Hardaway 61 points combined, Luka's absence have a big impact for the team. Though it's a close matched  and the rest of the players from Mavs contributes but not enough to beat the Jazz.
1285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 10, 2020, 05:20:45 PM

I agree that the biggest handicap of not having Capela is not rebounding but the shot blocking. Capela wasn't a terrific shot blocker like Gobert maybe but he was a presence inside to say the least, without him and only a 6'6 PJ Tucker inside, players were capable of going in and doing whatever the hell they wanted. Thats not really a good defensive scheme even if you are capable of rebounding the ball in case a miss. They still reached to a last second shot situation which is really all they could ask for really, they didn't had to beat by 20+, a 1 point win would be a win anyway. Plus they almost certainly guaranteed playoffs so I can sort of understand why they are not playing %100 anymore and just taking it slowly, during playoffs they will hopefully play better.
Yeah right, second round would be a different stories to every team inside the league. They all will do the best in order to get the semi-finals bet
and if it's possible to reached the conference finals and move to the world champion.
Rockets move trading their big men still a puzzle to every fans and viewers of this league.
1286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would make you stop gambling? on: February 09, 2020, 07:02:40 PM
are there any things in life that would make you stop gambling?

the two things that come to my mind are:
- making enough or a lot of money.
- finding a passion (even relationshiprelated or life/activity related) that changes your priorities.

but can you see other things than that?

One cannot make enough money to stop making more,  it is about personal decision and discipline, crazy gamblers will make money outside gambling and still gamble with it.
Relationship can actually change one,as in bring one out of the gambling by influence, so also passion can drift one out of it.thats if the passion is not what one gamble around. I don't actually gamble so I don't think of stopping.
Greediness if being controlled will allow you to stop after winning huge amount of money, while having good alternatives such as healthy relationship of activities that can divert your attentions also is a good way to stop. Most of the time it's your own will that will let you go and quit away from this business, gambling is entertaining but if you lose control it will harm you so best to think of other sources of entertainment to move you in stopping your gambling interest.
1287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you gamble? on: February 09, 2020, 06:31:21 PM
My gaming frequency has lessened a lot quite lately. I would say this has happened because I have lessened my debts to almost zero. I remember when I was deep down to around $700 debt and so most of my earnings went to pay off the debt and hence I relied on gambling to quickly pay off the debts. But now when I can keep most of earnings to myself, it pains to gamble away what little I earn Tongue

Definitely a good thing you did there.

A lot of people turn to gambling to pay off debts, and then start getting wreckless with their wagers, betting more they can afford to and end up getting further into debt.

Sure, some people do strike it big and win enough to pay off their debts, but the house edge wins more than half of the time, so these are fewer than 50% of those that try.

Hopefully you can turn your life around now, and keep gambling to a minimum, playing with only what you can actually afford to lose.
Exact to the point. If you will be reckless the chance of having more debts will happen to you but if you can manage to minimized everything around your gambling activities, you will be gaining a good amount of money. Having a wise perceptions into this kind of business brings chances of winning more. Start building good system and strategy and focus with money management skills.
1288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 09, 2020, 06:09:34 PM
Lakers beat the warriors by just 5 points, I don't know whats wrong with them nowadays but I feel like they know they made the playoffs easily already, they wanted to show off and prove people that they are the best team in the west right now and played the best game they possibly could but now that more than half of the season gone, they know that they don't really care about proving people how good they are anymore, so they may have let the foot of the pedal and just coasting towards playoffs.

In playoffs they have to really get better than this and start playing like they played at the start of the season, specially Danny Green who started to score very bad recently. And also, this season looks like the first time Spurs will miss the playoffs in over 3 decades, gonna be a hard April for all of them.
Lakers don't need to prove anything but instead they've needed healthy players moving to the next round. There's no need to push things out just keep playing and give some good time management with each stars that they've got. Surely in the playoffs it will be a different Lakers to compete, They are inspired to bring the world title back to LA to pay respect to Kobe.
1289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it good to talk about big gains? on: February 09, 2020, 05:55:26 PM
It is not good to talk about your winnings or your big gains in gambling because other people might have an intention to rob you, that is why it is much better if you kept all of your winnings as a secret even it all happened for a very long time because other people will assume that you are insanely rich.
Aside from the tendencies of getting robbed, the main reason why we should't brag our earnings is to keep ourselves low key. Bragging what you've got in life is not a good trait because it can create envy between one another. Just humble yourself always, if you are not being asked then remain silent but if you do then don't give numbers at least Cheesy.
There's no need to share your excitement if you wanted to stay low. Bringing this things up will not result any good thing to you, It should be kept
by your own and enjoy everything that you've got. All the luxuries are open for you to spend your money so why do you need to tell anyone as it's
only be creating threats to your life.
1290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here dream of achieving their financial goal in life through gambling? on: February 09, 2020, 05:40:13 PM
For people who does not have enough income to live a comfortable life, we try to find ways to end the struggle, we take big risk to gain big rewards so if we will be successful, we don't need to work anymore and just enjoy the rest of our life doing the things that we can't do due to lack of money.

are you one of the people who dream like this?

This sounds like a lazy man waiting into something to fall into his lap. This is the problem to people, we always  hoping something that can make us literally sit down and spend our money. This is not how life goes. You need to set it up, you should take the process. Don't get me wrong Gambling was a nice way to earn money However, if you don't have a proper knowledge on how you use your money, in case you win a big amount, it will burn as time goes by. What we need is a stable cashflow, these tools are just a support, we still need to have that skill.
Correct skills in dealing with money management, in case you win huge you can divert it and use it in other forms of investment and not locking yourself to this venue of activities over and over, once you got the chance of winning big amount of money it's best to take yourself away from gambling, you will be more successful when you are outside from gambling and have a good alternative ways to earn more money.

It's possible that it's part of the plan, SMB management are aiming for CStand being transferred to GSM with this move from Greg chance
to need big man to replace him gives high chance for CStand. It's interesting if after this break some big news about this rumor transferred
will materialized.

I just realized now that how can the GSM management trade a player who's no longer in contract with them  Smiley. It they want Cstand to be a part of Ginebra then who will they trade? I guess this move by Greg Slaughter is personal. The trade rumors is been there for a long time and i think he doesn't want to be traded so he made the first move to complicate things.

But whatever his decision, let's respect that.

That's the trick, with the rumors around are near to happen, this announcement of Greg make things complicated. Now that he decide to retire/not signing any contract to whichever teams offer his service make this situation much difficult for Ginebra. What's the next step who's going to be the player to trade in order to acquire CStand? unless Ginebra will buy the contract with other conditions about possible pick or underground negotiations with Batang Pier things still possible..

Quote
Greg Slaughter takes break from basketball

Another not so good news for basketball fans in the Philippines specially the Cebuanos who are following the career's of these two gentle giants.

Greg Slaughter taking a break in the PBA? What happen? Personally, i think this year could be his year as JMF15 is out and he could dominate in the middle.

Is this part of the plan of SMB on having Cstand on the Gin Kings?

Your thought guys....

1293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 08, 2020, 01:55:56 AM

I guess wiggins could be more viable for Golden state if they end up utilizing him into more a of a defensive role with some training because dude is a great scorer inside and can definitely play better as a third option instead of a first/second option like he has been all his life, yet the reality is the same that Warriors have been a shooting team for years now and when Klay/Curry comes back, wiggins would have to do a lot to draw the defense to himself to dish out, normally if there is curry at 30 feet and wiggints at 5, I would still guard curry at 30 feet so its not going to be easy. At least D'lo got to play with his friend KAT, thats the fairy tale story here, KAT even meet up with D'lo literally at the airport, they were both so excited.
Yeah I think so also. They lack the power of forwards this is why they need someone to do that job for them. And as we all know, he is a rhythmic player. By that, it means that he can do what he ought to do when he holds the ball more often. And as of this time he's reviving his career. But man I'm really surprised on these trades man. Especially the Clint Capela trade. Wanna know the real reason why that trade happened? It's simply because the offense rating of rockets is low whenever he's on the floor. That's why they decided to pull off the trade. Not only that, the defensive rating is lower. The score in the paint is so high compare to other centers. No wonder he didn't get the same money as Steven Adams get even though they are the same stat. And I really wonder how the big men of Lakers didn't dominated the board on last night game. Hmm Huh
This Capela trade is really surprising. Not sure what the coaching staff are thinking and why the management approve this trade,  but considering your insight chances that they are seeing something and they are willing to gamble this small players lineup and let their stars to handle and lift the team. It will be decided once the next round begin whether this changes brings them good outcome or another adjustment will be needed for them.
1294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: sell bitcoin to buy fiat or altcoin? on: February 07, 2020, 04:01:21 AM
I'd rather to choose to sell btc to stablecoin like usdt, much safer and low risk of low fluctuation.
But you are never going to make money that way, if you want to do that then just keep your fiat and be happy with it, if you are going to invest in this market then you need to select between bitcoin or some altcoins, if you are going to choose to invest in stable coins only do that when you are completely sure the price of all the market is going down as it did in 2018, that is the only moment in which you are justified to invest in those coins.
You can also do that if you are more familiar with scalping. Since bitcoin is moving wildly and fluctuations are unavoidable trade your BTC when the value is high then buyback when the value is low. It's difficult but still possible to process and you can attained benefits when you make it into a good timing. Every traders have their own ways and understanding whether alts or USDT if you know how then its profitable for you to process.
1295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Was Ripple the cause of this bullish trend? What do you think? on: February 07, 2020, 02:57:39 AM
I think btc is moving on its own and clearly the best movement among the top major coins. If you would observed the current stance of the market it is indeed a clear uptrend already. Last night I was watching the charts and obviously there are still some who are pulling back and cashing out some of the funds from a high steep pump but obviously this will be a good time to hold if youre an investor as this year is the bullish season for btc due to halving. On the other hand, ripple isnt the reason but also lean on btc movement. I am no fan of this crappy project own by most centralized firm. But good for those who also hold cause it also moving up and gains have been realized too.
Yeah right, bitcoin have it's own movement and not because of any alts behind it. If we are noticing bitcoin is growing and beginning to established much better value. This position still being dominated and always be dominated by bitcoin Whatever market movement from the alts market its still not enough to think that it's influencing the whole industry especially bitcoin market.
1296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: February 06, 2020, 04:35:19 PM
Anything is possible for Conor after that last win in UFC, and I must admit that I did not expect him to win in that express way.
I think that if he stay focused he can win against Pacquio but this is totally different game now.

Though this might not happen. Manny Pacquiao listed 3 names that he will possibly face this year and Connor McGregor is not one of them. Also, Mayweather is back at it again where he says he will not fight again, excuse? He is retired.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/boxing/article-7973489/Manny-Pacquiaos-manager-reveals-rematch-Floyd-Mayweather-no-go.html
Will be depends from how good the promoters will work with it, though there's already names that possibly being match against Pacquiao
but the chance still possible since this kind of fight is for entertainment and not really for any title if the promoters will able to get this two
camps to sign the contract then the fight will happen.
1297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: February 06, 2020, 01:56:37 PM

but he will be suffering operation and i think this will take longer time of getting better again,as the team will surely not allowing Him to be Forced playing because he can do more action in future and not just this All Filipino Conference, there are lot of Games to Come for junMar.

And when he comes back, there is no assurance that he will be as confident as he was since usually when a player got injured, underdgo an operation, it will affect their confidence as they will be afraid to be injured again.
Depends on him if how he will take this and if his desire to continue forcing himself to prove more, I guess with his achievements he doesn't need
to prove anything and he's also aging so after this operations he can either be back as healthy and good or he can also be there just to finish his
contract and enjoy his paychecks.
1298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 06, 2020, 07:17:39 AM
~snip~

Rockets will now play a small lineup. I don't see anything wrong but that was a gamble.

There's nothing wrong with having a small line up, but the Rockets are doing it in a worse way in my opinion. Imagine a 6'5 dude who used to play as a forward suddenly become a center. Tristan Thompson was even considered an undersized center in the NBA, and the guy is like 6'9.
We will see a huge difference when the Rockets retain this starting line up and played against taller teams such as Bucks, Mavs, or the Lakers.
I remember back when GSW have Curry, Thompson, Iggy, barnes and Green though they've got the mentality which Offense is their good defense
not sure if that will also be applied with Houston where most of the time the ball is not rotating but only hold either by Harden or Westbrook, not
sure if this current trade regarding with releasing Capela gives them a good result.
1299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Teofimo Lopez Lightweight Unification fight on: February 06, 2020, 05:51:36 AM
I know everyone is rooting on Loma to win this fight but I'll go with the opponent since he is always undefeated with most of his wins are coming from KO.
Not really familiar with the boxer but I can check it here : https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/776269

since the no date yet when its gonna happen, there's nothing we can do but to wait but for sure Lopez will be a heavy dog here and I like that odds.
You'll be getting much better/higher odd if you'll bet with the underdog though Loma from his past games also have a big edge against Lopez which still
young compared to experienced Lomachenko.
This fight can still be favoring Loma lets see what odd will be offered for both fighters once there's already confirm fate for this fight.
1300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run top 5 Alts for 2020. on: February 06, 2020, 05:32:37 AM
5 Altcoin that will grow even more now and I also still to investments in between : Ethereum, XRP, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin SV and Litecoin. other than that I also like BNB coins at the moment but I have not seen a good growth of these coins. so I chose ETH or XRP as the Bull run top 5 Alts for this year 2020.
Most likely this two that you mentioned since they are tailing bitcoin, the chance that it will follow the movement of bitcoin and rise from behind.
You need to focused with how communities are working as they are the one who can lift the movements, once they start to bring investment and
keep holding their coins the rice will surely urge and gives good benefits to your investment.
