According to my FB friend...Nice frost in NYC this morning and rather windy. Especially by the skyscrapers. This policeman I often chat with was shaking and sheltering behind a wall. He could hardly speak he was so cold. It's not an easy job. By the time I was on the bike on the Brooklyn Bridge I regretted not having gone into the store to get him hot chocolate. That is because I am a slow thinker.
But for my work day, there is the ration of coffee and water today. Oil paint and canvas.

Never too late. The next time you see him, a nice hot chocolate with the word bitcoin written on it.

They have female urinals as well, so how can it be sexist?

Is it me or does this female urinal just scream penis envy (in more ways than one)?

The male urinal lets you pee from a distance and be done with it. The female urinal is a tongue with yeast infection or worse. It would be safer to wipe then sit on a toilet than climbing that contaminated pony, especially if you are drunk. You could stab your vagina. Also the female urinal is sexist. Lots of women love jeans, not skirts.

Wonder if this is due to religious/spiritual people having a more optimistic out look on life. As a pessimist I look around and see what happens to old people like me,they get cranky and snarly. Pushing all their loved ones away as they die with bitter fights over politics.

Think that this plays into it more than actually being religious but it would be interesting if they could figure that out.
If it was true, why are we programmed in that way if a God does not exsist?
Read a similar study in a psychology magazine and did not give it much weight then either.

We are social creatures and can not live in a vacuum. Believing in something beyond your ego is hope. That is why we step out of bed every morning, to love someone or to troll someone on a forum.... We need a purpose.

China just put in trade restrictions so it looks like famine holiday is going into full effect. Guess they had little choice with North Korea forcing their hand in a public way.

The Chinese are not happy with DPRK right now. A few months ago, DPRK allowed Russian companies to develop its rare earth metal deposits. This was a double whammy for China. China is having a near monopoly in rare earth metal production right now, and any increase in production from DPRK might dilute the Chinese bargaining power. Also, the Chinese thought that Kim would prefer Chinese mining firms to the Russian ones.

This new leader is not too smart. That is why millions will die.

Nope...

Science is based on logic...religion isn't that logic imho Cheesy

Science is based sometime on happy (or horrible) random accidents, or on someone's intuition. Some go through a lifetime of mockery to be proved right, or long time after their passing.
Science is not pure or right. Science is alive. Things we took for granted for centuries disappear from our collective mind after each breakthrough, becoming the new truth, the new belief.

Although most scientists won't admit they believe in a superior being, they will be the first to admit they need to have an unshakeable faith in themselves. That faith is the engine that makes them push and push and push.
Before the first strike of chalk on a blackboard one needs that light in their brain and believe in its unfathomably deep wisdom.

Huffington Post reported a zinger... Koch brothers plan to nominate Paul Ryan as the Republican nominee

They know how to buy an election... Probably isn't the first time...

Charles Koch is confident House Speaker Paul Ryan could emerge from the Republican National Convention as the party’s nominee if Donald Trump comes up at least 100 delegates shy, he has told friends privately.

Koch believes Ryan would be a “shoo-in” at a contested convention, should the campaign get to that point....

That is why TRUMP needs to win for all the people who are tired of those private companies called the GOP and the DNC. We are seeing the first sign of a real attempt. No future elections will be the same, unless Them Those People keep numbing down We The People.

Powerful force is behind Panama Papers

Source:Global Times Published: 2016-4-5 0:58:01

A huge leak of confidential documents from Mossack Fonseca, a Panama-based law firm alleged to have been a facilitator of money laundering for its clients has shocked international public opinion. Over 11 million documents were passed to German newspaper Sueddeutsche Zeitung by an anonymous source. These documents have been reportedly investigated by some 300 global journalists for a year.

The Western media soon collected the most eye-catching information from the documents and leaders of non-Western countries have been scrutinized. Most media led with the allegations that a close friend of Russian President Vladimir Putin had laundered $1 billion. The Western media has opaquely described it as "Putin's money laundering."

Some high-profile Western public figures were named, for example Iceland's prime minister was disclosed as having a huge offshore account. But this is just small potatoes compared with the alleged scandal against Putin.

In recent years, documents exposed by Wikileaks, Edward Snowden and this time, the Panama Papers, have all made headlines worldwide. Among them, Snowden's leaks sounded the most credible since they were exposed by an admitted whistleblower. While the Wikileaks website has at least a figurehead, nobody is clearly behind these latest leaks. However the documents revealed do have basic political targets, which is food for thought.

The Western media has taken control of the interpretation each time there has been such a document dump, and Washington has demonstrated particular influence in it. Information that is negative to the US can always be minimized, while exposure of non-Western leaders, such as Putin, can get extra spin.

In the Internet era, disinformation poses no major risks to Western influential elites or the West. In the long-run, it will become a new means for the ideology-allied Western nations to strike a blow to non-Western political elites and key organizations.

The online disinformation makes public opinion precise strikes possible for the West, which always "digs out" materials from the so-called confidential information. Despite different interests, Western countries are close allies in ideology. This is perhaps the basis for the concept of the "West." Public opinion of different Western countries is quite uniform.

It is risky to claim the leaked information is fabricated. It can be predicted that such disclosure will not survive if it embarrasses the West. But the West will be happy to see such leaks happen if their opponents are attacked.

Some are wondering why so many public figures handed over their secrets to the same law firm. But it is only a minor question. For ordinary people, it is useless to wrestle with the power behind the leak, which can wield such a huge amount of documents.

Unrelated, but another massive leak...

Data of nearly 50 million Turks allegedly leaked online

ISTANBUL - The Associated Press

Hackers have posted a database online that seems to contain the personal information of nearly 50 million Turkish citizens in what is one of the largest public leaks of its kind.

The leaked database contains 49,611,709 entries and divulged considerable private information, putting people at risk of identity theft and fraud. Entries include data such as national ID numbers, addresses, birthdates and parents’ names.

The hackers spotlighted the information for Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, his predecessor Abdullah Gül, and Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu.

The leak came with the message: “Who would have imagined that backwards ideologies, cronyism and rising religious extremism in Turkey would lead to a crumbling and vulnerable technical infrastructure?”

In a message on the lessons to be learned by Turkey, the hackers said, “Bit shifting isn’t encryption.”

The hackers also dedicated their stunt to the U.S,. saying: “We really shouldn’t elect [Donald] Trump, that guy sounds like he knows even less about running a country than Erdoğan does.”

The site appears to be hosted by an Icelandic group that specializes in divulging leaks, using servers in Romania.

The Associated Press on April 4 was able to partially verify the authenticity of the leak by running 10 non-public Turkish ID numbers against names contained in the dump. Eight were a match.

In an era where hackers frequently gain access to sensitive information, the Turkish government is not alone in facing a major breach.

Among the most serious recent incidents, the U.S. government’s Office of Personnel Management revealed in April 2015 that hackers gained access to the personal information of more than 22 million U.S. federal employees, retirees, contractors and others, and millions of sensitive and classified documents.

U.S. officials believe a Chinese espionage operation infiltrated OPM’s records.

CNBC's Steve Liesman Makes A "Discovery": Americans Are Increasingly Angry And They Want Trump

Submitted by Tyler Durden on 04/04/2016 22:32 -0400

Earlier today, CNBC's Steve Liesman made two very important, in fact "critical", if about one year overdue, discoveries.

The first one was that Americans are angry.

According to the CNBC All-America Survey, a majority of Americans are angry about both the political and the economic system.

Perhaps if CNBC had discovered this sooner, it would have figured out that the reason it no longer reports its ratings to Nielsen has something to do with its underlying "rosy" slant on things, one which perhaps brings out people's, well, anger. That and the occasional informercial for Ferrari and million dollar homes.

The second discovery is that angry Americans largely support Trump over Hillary, something we have discussed since last summer.

As Liesman puts it, nearly three-fourths of the public is angry or dissatisfied with the political system in Washington, compared with 56 percent who are angry or dissatisfied about the economy. This group favors Trump on the economy over Clinton 28 percent to 21 percent.

.....more

The tradition of the communist famine holiday: killing its own people by the millions as a reminder of how bad capitalism is.

I hate the design for the female urinal. You will end up having drops of urine splashing on your thighs as you pee! The closet is best for women and I do not see anything wrong with the male urinal either.

Feminists do. You are wrong and they are right.

1294  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do islam hates people? on: April 05, 2016, 02:10:13 PM

I am here to just say one thing? Why do YOU hate people? and you should really give a valid reason not a shitty one that says 'Because Jews, Because Christians, Because Atheists'
and Yes, I am a people's person for those who ask, just tell me, come out of your shell and say why you HATE people like myself, and I could be here to clarify things to you, or not...
Also here is something that most muslims mistake about people's person like me is that "Christianity or Buddhism hate other religions" for this I say, Christianity or Buddhism does not hate ANY religion, but they suggest to 'invite' them to Christianity or Buddhism or Judaism, as slowly, and peacefully, even if they refuse, you can try and try, until it's their choice, you stop. and for all the wars that happened, it's because this other religion decided to come into war on Christianity or Buddhism or Judaism.

If you need anything clarified, I may not be here to answer you, don't be scared, I won't be offended by anyone, also haters, you can reply, I won't care Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Cheesy

In other news ->

Do not generalize. It's not being Muslim. People behave in different ways and whatever actions they take, it's all up to them, religion or not.

There other christians who do and did things that wiped out a civilization and this is just one of the faith issues and its up to an individual to understand it.

Because Christians did it before, you are saying it is in their religious right to do the same?

1295  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Transgenderism Of Children Is Child Abuse, American College Of Pediatrics Rules… on: April 05, 2016, 02:04:49 PM
The whole psychological field creates more and more aspects that they can label so that the field stays relevant.
With CT scans the brain becomes less of a tool of mystery and they need to figure out ways to hold onto the power they have through labels and medication. This transgender issue effects such a small segment and yet we need to create special bathrooms, act like they are normal and go on with life. Have yet to come across one trans that did not have other mental issues that where messing up their view points on life.
Over compensating with the trans issue to mask childhood trauma.

Was really starting to worry that we where just going to keep going down this tunnel and the next step would be pedophiles.
What else is their really to protect and give rights to besides that and people that hump animals! The cupboard is bare and they would start
labeling kids with off the moon symptoms for expressing any kind of emotions.

It is about controlling speech and creating a thought police, trans support is a tool used for that goal.
1296  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Spirituality may be tied to easier cancer course on: April 05, 2016, 02:02:49 PM
People who have faith should not fear illness and death and if you believe that after you die you are going to a magical place where everything is perfect and you get a mansion, it probably makes you feel less afraid of death.

Or it makes you less afraid of being alive.

Europe prepares its own end by pushing refugees away. But their population decreases day by day. Therefore they need migrants

EU cares more about their lives than they do. It is pure blackmail. And about time Europe starts using all necessary force to keep them out.

Donald Trump's Huge Campaign Announcement

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VO-1ePYypdU

Trouble is, it becomes pretty clear half 'way through the clip that the voice is Jimmy Kimmel's.

You're dumb, that's definitely not Jimmy Kimmel's voice... is that Jimmy Kimmel's face doing the speaking as well?

It's clearly an impersonator, and it's certainly not Jimmy... wow... April Fool's

Yes, it is Jimmy doing the impersonation. Try listening more carefully.
