"It's the fourth time I see this link and it's the fourth time you've posted it already.."

You saw it four times already?!  Thats GRRREAT, considering I posted it only three times on BCT!  I'm glad you liked it, but honestly take a break!

No , I've just checked your profile to see how many times you posted already Wink. And maybe report it as spam.
And I saw the link not the content, don't think i ever clicked on a fb page.

What's the point of using tor while you visit fb....

12884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PURE][X11] PURECOIN - new Visa card sample on: June 03, 2014, 08:54:52 PM
lol take the silkcoin wallets its open source...

put a visa symbol on your stuff(without direct permission) and you better be ready for a class action lawsuit of epic proportions.

you think they want your name on their card?

300 million transactions per day .. and they need purecoin?

If its all above board good luck to you!.. if its not ... epic dump inc before lawsuit

Well there are many companies who r providing prepaid visa cards with their name on it...there is nothing wrong in it...which lawsuit u talking about.
Do some research at least.
Here is one company in UK which provides prepaid visa cards.. check out for ur reference please   http://www.credecard.com/personal/why-choose-us/

Hope this helps all the sceptics. I cant vouch that Pure Dev plan is legitimate as I dont know him personally but providing a prepaid card is.

Cheers

In the end you're just like those guys at liberty reserve wondering where the hell their money is and what went wrong Smiley.

это не афера!

Я буду жаловаться в ООН! If you wanna create a Russian coin - you first need some pro russian adapters and a good idea behind it, right now you have none of those

SCRYPT? Гребаный экибастуз, ну нет что ли нормальных алгоритмов?
скамом от этой монеты не только воняет, но прямо даже пахнет  Grin

По-русски-то хоть говоришь? Smiley
Да уж, типа Российский коин, только вот на русском ничего нет. Как говаривал герой из к/ф "Белое солнце пустыни" - Я взяток не беру, мне за державу обидно.
Ладно бы наши сделали, а то ведь только название позаимствовали Sad

Maybe you should move this discussion in the russian language section.

as long as they don't offer any ipo you can't call it a scam.
Risky investemnt yes , but not really a scam.
12887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUR] Auroracoin - a cryptocurrency for Iceland on: June 03, 2014, 07:40:15 PM
See the difference between PHCoin and AURORACoin is that PHCoin is NOT ACTING LIKE A GOD DAMN 'COIN' they are NOT EVEN worried about getting it on an exchange
which AUR was easily on exchanges ready for those high waves of pumps and dumps.

This is a big deal because when you see a currency with a 50% premine not going after an exchange, and Authority: Mike Scofield
he mentions to not worry about exchanges and this is the best thing for any new crypto currency. It doesn't need an exchange right away.

It's better to be holding onto them until PHCoin sees a huge demand in the market, this to me seems like the only country coin that will NOT FAIL.
An exchange will come soon for all new coins, but when the devs are not actively pushing the exchange market, this shows me they got bigger things up their sleeves.

So yes, I just compared PHC to AUR...

If I had a decision to make to mine PHC or AUR .. I'd pick PHC.
If I had a decision to make to buy PHC or AUR, I'd buy PHC.

The end.

- Sam 'Mother Fuckin' Walters.

And in the end you come here to promote your pathetic little clone..
This is so lame you aurora gains the upper hand in this fight.
12888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.7 Available on: June 03, 2014, 06:30:07 PM

51% attack is not so easy to be made.
Dogecoin is based on brand new litecoin source so its not so like in "early" years.

It's a scrypt coin nothing else.
If the price doesn't follow the hash increase miners will quit and those who aim at the 51% will remain , even mining at a loss until they make most of the hash rate

You don't need to throw 10 000 gaw miners at the chain at once , do it slowly and you'll manage the same with far less costs.

The question is , why do it at all?

I wasn't talking about people trying to do this but rather who easy would be for an 'evil" organization to do it if they really wanted.
People that are not interested in the few hundred dollars that you can earn by mining but on the billions in cc transactions.

everybody talked about 51%,
but they don't consider why people would do this.
indeed, you ruin your self while you conduct a 51% attack.

If you want to crush the coins , that's your objective.
And the main fear is about governments trying to supress them in early stages.

For them , it will take pocket money to launch something like that.
Even buying 51% of the coins for pos coins , it's no problem at this stage.
12890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Motocoin - Proof of Play cryptocurrency on: June 03, 2014, 01:55:46 PM

Got a few coins a while ago but that's it for me.
12891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUR] Auroracoin - a cryptocurrency for Iceland on: June 03, 2014, 01:31:33 PM

To me, the most important reason Auroracoin has not yet stabilized after the storm is due to the fact that somehow the community hasn't taken up it's responsibility yet. I strongly believe that Auroracoin will become a great success, once we get enough people supporting it for the right reasons. Those reasons do not include short term profitability, but must be about making a difference. Not only to the Icelandic community, but also in the Crypto landscape.

I also believe this is the reason why we don't hear to much from Balduro at this time. From the very beginning he has made it perfectly clear that his role is to bring foreword the idea and lay the foundation. That segment is past us now, so it's up to us to finish what he has started!

Are you for real?? What community? The 'community' bid up the price ahead of the airdrop and then waited for good news about some kind of application or use within Iceland. None of this news was forthcoming. A community within Iceland itself would be able to build on this foundation as you put it, yet I can't see that anyone like that has stepped forward with that intention. Because of that, it isn't even clear that we can trust Balduro's statistics about the airdrop. So what is it you think we can do exactly??

I hear you and understand what you mean. But as I tried to explain many times in this forum, to me and many others, this is not about short term profit. If it was, then yes, you might be right. The question to me is, why is everyone in Crypto so inpatient? New ways and standards don't come falling out of the sky, they are slowly build by persistent groups who believe in the benefits change can bring.

There is a large group like this based within Iceland and it's supported by serious foreigners like myself. We know this is not going to prove itself within a couple of months, it will take years.

The up bidding of the price you mention, was not done by this group, it was done by greedy investors that were afraid to mis out. Almost all the early supporters behind this project would have liked to see the price not going over $ 5,- in the first year. The fact this did happen anyway only damaged the steadiness of it's launch.

So, I am for real when I say I truly believe this coin is only at it's start. For sure I also look at other initiatives and can tell you I've done pretty well on other coins financially, but also these coins were dumped as soon as the sheep follow the herds to the next coin. What remains is those coins that can really make a difference based upon their prophecy. It this case, to me AUR is still the one that has the highest potential of becoming widely accepted by an entire community/country. Just look at the initial idea, 330.000 people in a country that is perfect to implement crypto. That is what I think it will work in the end (Will take years, but will get there sooner than others!)

So, if you follow this coin to make a quick buck anticipating it will skyrocket soon, stop it! If you follow it to see if it will succeed in becoming the first to be adopted by an entire nation, you're welcome!

Right now , why should icelanders use auroracoin and not bitcoin?

It makes no sense , other than expecting larger gains.

To me it does make sense. Of course Bitcoin is the best choice when it comes to steadiness and structure, but people also tend to chose a coin they can relate to. For what I've seen so far, Icelanders are proud people and have a strong sense of independence.

Also AUR is something they already relate daily spending to as it was a standard short code for their cent, back when the Krona wasn't devaluated as it is now. It's something they can call their own.

For arguments sake, People in the US would be wiser to change their dollars for Euro's right now and start trading with that. Somehow I think the majority however will chose to keep their dollar.

With lots of coins being already in the hands of foreign traders , i honesty doubt they can call this coin their own.
It;'s the same with every nation coin. There is too litle "nation" in it.

I assume this is just more silly FUD:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=637195.0  However, could someone over here please tear it apart ASAP.  I have a lot of money in Dark and this is the kind of thing a think a lot of people are worried about at the back of their minds.  Does everyone on the development side know everyone's background more or less? Did anyone start buying fancy toys before the price rise? I think I read some of the code is closed source. Was it vetted on your side to make sure it isn't "phoning home" to Putin or Obama?

Probably it's 100% FUD but I would say 99.9%.
You never know. Don't forget how many things have been revealed lately about how the nsa work , and how many are left ...

Remember how tor was supposed to be bulletproof and just one year later it's like a piece of swiss cheese ?

If you seriously fear this, then don't buy anything funny with drk until the source is completely open, which should take only few weeks.

I don't fear anything about the coins. From my point of view it can be even a coin released by the cia and the nsa and the red army working together.

If it brings me any advantage I will use it. I'm not going to live in a cave just because of the fear of my calls being taped.
12893  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: June 03, 2014, 01:19:59 PM
yes i know im waiting for my rank to pump up to member

so im still intrested where to join in future

plus i like the weekly payouts on updown Smiley

I see... Well Stunna said he will eventually update the rates to something higher to compete with UpDown. But I think that he's currently traveling right now(?). UpDown hasn't updated his participant list for almost a week now, making it unclear if he will keep accepting participants.

Primedice will always be the preferred option, even when Ritz came along people kept here.
If primedice raises the price high enough then I might join.
Stunna already posted about this he is considering few options at the end of this session hope he rise rates and give payments weekly basis from next month

Higher rates are always welcome. Weekly payments I don't really care either way. I trust him to pay each time so I don't mind the wait.

I honestly don't think he needs to raise the rates.
Why? He has basically no competition , he is the only one to offer payments to people posting over 200/posts per week, he is trusted and most of the users will keep his signature even if the lowers the rates (considering the btc price going up).

Weekly payments will be indeed a nice feature but I don't think Stunna needs to do anything to be nr 1 right now.

On the other side , if he caps the number of posts you're getting paid to 300/month , how many will stick with this ?
12894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.7 Available on: June 03, 2014, 01:14:00 PM
Neither you nor any of us have the ability to know what will happen in the future, and considering the health of the dogecoin economy, I believe it is relatively safe to say that it will enjoy steady growth and that its value will never "go to zero".

You don't know what's going to happen in the future, yet you think it's *relatively safe* to say that it will enjoy steady growth

I don't even think you are reading what you are typing anymore.  The amount of contradiction you are putting in your own words shows exactly you have no clue what's going to happen.

You talk about the dogecoin *community*, what community is that exactly?  And how is this *community* going to prevent the fall of dogecoin?  Are you going to start robbing banks?  You have no billionaire backers to support the price fall, you only have dogecoins that is worth less and less every day precisely because of the *health of your dogecoin economy*.

And you dont even bother to support your statement with evidence anymore.  *Steady growth*, will are you pulling this out from?  What kind of growth are you talking about?  The growth of the number of coins out there along with a shrinking market cap?  Yea i guess it's *relatively safe* to say.

Aren't those "billionaire bankers" the things we want to get away from in the first place, by using cryptocurrencies rather than fiat money?
I may be an idealist, but I truly believe that cryptos are meant to empower the people; tens of thousands of ordinary persons investing in Dogecoin have more power than a few millionaire pump and dumpers.

The community I mentionned, is the one that managed to build a well in Africa, who sponsored a nascar driver and votes for him 3 million times. The 87670 subscribers on Reddit and 150000 or so on Twitter (more than twice the number of Bitcoin's subscribers). There's way to many person who uses dogecoin and who are truly invested in the coin (not only financially, but also emotionally; which means they won't leave for the next pumped coin) for it to fail.

A crash that has been going on for less than two weeks is not a reason to affirm that dogecoin is dying; it's just the normal fluctuations of a commodity with a small market cap.

I suppose you realize it takes not a billionaire but a guy with a little trading experience , with some key people in some popular blogs and a few millions to spare to take down any coin right now?

Idealist? Too bad the % idealist vs people who care only about the money is too low right now in cryptos.

what is going on with this coin. why is the twitter account doing nothing? I feel like such a good niche is being squandered here. Nobody really gets why this coin can be massive.

It seems that the coin went too much to that "niche" approach and never got traction.
Too bad but with 100 coins coming every week , slims chances of revival.

Cryptos bring out the worst and best in people. There are some very desperate people around that will stop at nothing to make money. In fact, I know one of them from Shanghai in China. He is jealous his friend holds lots of Darks, so now he is pumping XC. lol.  Cheesy

Some ?  I think that in the last year the % of people entering cryptos just to make some quick $ has got to 90%.

Forget what cryptos were supposed to be , right now it's just about the money , spread fud to drop the coins lower , buy in , spread fake good news to pump it  and start again.

Don't forget to launch a new coin every week and do the same.

I am a new DRK investor I bought yesterday right at the top (0.024). After it crash overnight and I was tempted to sell but did not. However I was thinking and it feel like every big players bought coins knowing the Bitfinex news and then dump on all the little guys when the news came out. If being on a huge exchange like that doesn't make the price rise what will Huh

If you called this crash I wonder what the first mt gox hack was.
Probably you would have jumped from a building at that time

12899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PURE][X11] PURECOIN - new Visa card sample on: June 03, 2014, 12:20:24 PM
guys i do not understand, can this purecoin card be used at any visa outlet, also is this pre paid card

If it's a visa card you can use it at any store accepting visa cards.
But I would be very careful with this one.

Many have voiced their concern abut how this looks like a money laundering operation and I'm pretty sure some people keep an eye on it. If something bad happens you might end with 500$ on your card that you'll never be able to spend.

At least nobody can block your coin wallet , a cc yes , with one click.

Why would a big investor buy into it? Theres 700 million unaccounted for? I doubt any smart money will be entering it for a while.. remember you asked when will it hit 1000 sats? Think 5 years or more after bitcoin has a big crash if ever.

If bitcoin has a crash , then all the altcoins will suffer the same fate.
None is mainly traded via usd , but vs btc so it will affect them all , and some of them even worse.
