The coin can't rise in value because multipools are constantly selling down the price. No one is going to want to invest if the coin keeps depreciating in value.
And you think KGW will stop multipools mining a coin? If that coin is profitable to mine even with the updated difficulty , they will keep mining it with or without KGW , they just won't jump so many times from coin to coin , but if a coin is profitable they will still mine and dump it. |

i have nearly 90,000 potcoins. needless to say, i hope potcoin works out  Potcoin could really have a place. Bitcoin long confirmation times and high fees make it unpractical for smaller transactions. The same has been said for the rest of 100 coins that have tried to take the number one spot. In the end it's the people behind the coin who decide how good this coin is. And bitcoin has lots of adepts behind. |

I'm loving mining this! My rigs are super cool and quiet thanks to the much lower intensities I can mine at. I can even use my main PC while I'm mining again. Hopefully this coin has legs, even if it gets back in line with Scrypt coins in profitability, I definitely see myself sticking around here.

Rpietila, I agree what Gox is doing is criminal and Sturle's shilling is highly suspicious, but let me tell you that you suck very hard at Bitcoin risk management.
First you bring an unsecured laptop without password and with thousands of bitcoins on it to a "BTC millionaires gathering" that had been viciously advertised all over the Internet. Then you store hundreds of BTC in a place which has been giving clear insolvency signals since April.

Well, you can buy GHs, mine for a month and sell it.
If the prices of a GHs lower at the constant rate it has been lowering at, you can make a profit like that.
The logic behind that is flawed. If you buy for a month and sell it, does what you said also apply to the person who bought from you? What if you are the person who bought from the person who'd be already using it for a month? Everybody will make a lot of cash  , err bitcoins. Wasn't supposed to be like that , everyone getting rich out of nowhere? =)))) |

What will happen? Miners will get fewer coins and will turn to other coins if the price doesen't increse to make it profitable again. If it looses miners it might get less popular? It can't become less popular, Reddit likes it too much. Remember miners aren't the thing that determines popularity with this coin, the internet does. Lols, everything can become less popular. Well, I didn't know that. For me the cheapest offers are 493.37€ for OKPay and 505.85€ for a SEPA bank transfer. As the current market price according to BitcoinAverage is 495€, these are quite fair prices. And don't forget, if you had some succesful trades and good ratings before, you can start an offer by yourself. This often results in better prices. It seems like we have some wuite different price situations here. Well, I'm satisfied with LocalBitcoins, so I will keep using it. The best offer is around 541 Euros for cash and 603€ for national bank transfer in this side of the EU. I know some people get better deals but not me here . I'm better buying at stamp. |

You should seriously consider creating an ad of your own that sells bitcoins at a 15% markup! You'd be the cheapest in your area by 5% and you'd still be making a huge profit! I considered it a few times but getting the bitcoins and managing to sell them without a crash happening between the two seems to be a gamble for the last two months. |
