I just sent 30 payments from 4 clients through DarkSend in a row without a single error and it went swimmingly  It's starting to look pretty solid! Anyone around today that wants to help me do some closed testing possibly before the big test tomorrow night? * We need Ubuntu x64 and Windows users

Who's running r/DRKCoin? I'm a fan of the header but it would be nice if the main page was the normal reddit format for readability.
Also, seems like there are two subs (the one above and r/DarkCoinCrypto) we should consolidate these as it's confusing to have two of them and it would be good to have more of a presence there. Looks like the coin creator is the moderator of r/DarkCoinCrypto and it's in the first post here so that would be my preference.
Not sure why people are posting in r/drkcoin . Official is the same name as the twitter account r/DarkCoinCrypto I created it. Didn't realise one already existed, I did search but DarkCoin hasn't had much of a social media presence until now. I never heard anything from the devs whenever I mentioned it so I assumed they knew about it and were just busy. I'm happy to consolidate subreddits with the official one. I did all the css theming yesterday, it still needs a bit of work. Would be good if that could be transferred over to the official one too. Eduffield? Oh, lets use yours. That's perfect |

We've been working on Pre-Alpha v2 and I think we're ready! I've worked out every known issue that cropped up during the last testing, so this time we're going to be announcing testing ahead of time to allow more people to try DarkSend out. You know, my husband and I were laying in bed late one night with our touchpads and he read to me an article on silk road, they'd just been arrested. so we thought Hummm, we don't really know about bitcoin... what's it all about? We started reading things, got out of bed and I started putzing about with a bitcoin wallet, tried to figure out how to mine, etc... we went to sleep even later, and continued to try and understand how it all worked. After about 3 or 4 days of that, we thought, oh, we should be looking at some new coins, it seems if you get in on the ground floor, and you catch a good one, you could make a lot of valuable coins. So we started looking at what was coming up. My husband saw this coin, and said, we should try it. It was opening the next day, so I was ready, but didn't know what the heck I was doing really. So I got on the band wagon wet behind the ears, and struggled to figure out what was going on. I don't think I ever posted in the beginning, just struggled through by myself though other people were asking good questions. Anyway, I only had my two machines, and it wasn't until last week I ventured VPC's, and only this weekend where I'm loading up on them. So, I didn't make many due to my caution, though I did make some, and it's been a really great experience.
Who would have known, my first try at joining a fledgling coin would end up being such a fantastic coin! Since then, I've learned so much, it's amazing! And I have what I truly believe will be the most important coin around. Finally, we did something right!
Thank you Eduffield. In life, there is a lot of luck, and then there is a bit of moving on something when it presents itself, so you do have to take a leap of faith and JUST DO IT as Michael Jordan's ads used to say. Thanks for the luck, the dedication, the idea, and everything!

It's more about the privacy of the blockchain, it was made to be way too open and I can solve that. It's kind of the same thing as us building and selling guns. I disagree with it personally
But if the donations reach the necessary amount, then that will naturally make the decision
If it was mcxNow or Cryptsy, I would consider it. But that shabby old cryptorush... I don't know if it would do us any good, really. Maybe set up a poll? 5 of 5 replies have been firmly opposed, so I'm going to tell them we're passing on their offer. They can add it if they see value in having the trading volume. We're not a scam coin, which I'm guessing are the ones paying... |

Why would we pay them to be on their exchange? There will be a time they beg us to be on their exchange  I'm fine with that too, I had the same thought . Should we just tell them nevermind, you'll do it later for free anyway... I think it's fine to just leave it out there and let folks donate if they see fit, we don't want to look smug by being dismissive, but I agree that ~300USD is too much to be listed on an exchange. The volume on the existing exchanges should be sign enough that this is going places. It's 300DRK (which is still close to 100$ though!). What kind of volume do these guys even have? I hope asking for fees in exchange of being listed isn't a standard practice, because that seems in line with zynga/king/ea type of business practice. I wouldn't mind being dark being on there but it does seem greedy, they'll be making money of transactions too. That was essentially exactly what I wrote to them in my first reply. |
