1301  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mining payment delayed... on: October 11, 2015, 11:13:10 PM
For more than a six hour I am waiting for confirmation of my weekly payment from www.CloudMining.website.

https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/tx/9846e9ec90344df99dde1d7d36261d4c5aa4f1b537962db367008a08d48b853d

Can someone please tell me whether the mining fee paid is low or there are some other issue?

Just contact your cloudmining site support and provide them with the tx id. They had the best intention and paid you your BTCs, the problem is the ongoing malleability attack.

They have sent us a new payment - https://blockchain.info/tx/28260d52da2d10adbb3af6d5b93efa1e95ac93ea02f906a9aea986896907726b

Have you received your payment now? Kindly update us and lock the topic.

Why lock the topic? Why are people so defensive with regards to this website?

what happened with lendcoin floor?

#notagain #onemoretime  #lendwsome

how can there be a price when there are no exchanges?

Or did the price somehow plummet on it's own site?
1303  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Leroy Fodor & Tài Tưng Tửng's (Bui Anh Tài) StakeMiners is an insolvent Ponzi! on: October 11, 2015, 05:40:51 PM
The TOS did not have anything about delaying withdrawals to protect everyone else at the time of the withdrawal, so you should have either taken BTC from your personal account, or done something in the favor of the investor to get him to agree to a delay.

You are correct, it is my choice to work with the user in order to try and give him the lowest possible penalty, but yet its me who is the bad guy right. God Forbid a crypto-business that actually wants to lower your fees. If you dug deep in the TOS he signed up under it could have easily been a 20% withdraw fee since that was the time of his most recent deposit. And that is EXACTLY how most other crypto related sites would have done it.

The truth is no matter how you look at it, the man chose to have the high fee, he made a profit on his investment in a very short time even with the high fee he chose. I tried to help him and was basically met with a slap in the face.

To Bruno----------

Bruno Good luck to you brother, until next time, keep up your outstanding work, at least when your concentrated on me your not stealing from or scamming other people.

You are missing the point.

He wanted to withdraw x btc. You were unable to liquidate your various coins and give him that amount without fucking everyone else over. Even if you aren't a scammer this i not sustainable.
1304  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Purse.io HACKED.. on: October 11, 2015, 05:38:03 PM
My coins are still in my purse wallet. No 2fa on there. I do have 2fa on my email tho.

It could be possible that the coins are still under Purse's control in that they had the accounts set up in multi-sig so the money could not be transferred off-site, only to another wallet under their control. Until we know more we can't say either way what the status of those 'hacked' coins are.

So they received a withdrawal request, then moved the coins to a wallet they control and sent a notification that the withdrawal was successful? On what planet does that come close to making sense?
1305  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY xpy.io BTCLend LNC. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: October 11, 2015, 05:35:49 PM
I'm still trying to figure out in all of this what the Garza clans exit plan was. I mean surely they had some kind of this is how it'll all dissolve and end and we keep the money but get no repercussions from it. Did they not have an exit strategy or did the one they have just really backfire?

He was successfully making shit up for months and had a lot of loyal followers. I think it's quite likely that he believed in his own invincibility and in the endless supply of fresh money. His decision to launch Paycoin despite realizing the impossibility of the floor shows the kind of mindset they were in.

He also probably didn't think it would get as big as it did. None of what he said made any sense, and people kept giving him money. He shouldn't have gotten as much money as he did, and once the amounts got so high, it probably shifted into that invincible stuff. They believed he would sell them $20 bills for 4, why wouldn't the believe anything else he said?

from Reddit:

We have received word today of unauthorized password reset notification emails. We are aware of the issue and have secured all funds. All user balances are accounted for and upon completing our investigation, service will resume shortly.

All accounted for, even though the transaction ids in the emails appear to be legitimate. Of course.
yeah, i guess we will see.. its good news tho..

That was sarcasm. How can all the coins be accounted for if the transaction of your coins leaving your account i real?

wonder if they say the coins are safe were to those that didnt lose any Sad

They said they have secured all funds, so i think users funds are safe.
I hope they didn't lie about it

This is impossible.

The OP posted the transaction of coins leaving purse to an address that isn't his that matches up with a transaction that matches the amount in his confirmation email (that he never confirmed). those coins can be replaced, but they can not be secured by purse.

I'm still trying to figure out in all of this what the Garza clans exit plan was.

I honestly believe they are such dullards as to not even have considered an exit plan.

The Garza's are the cryptocurrency equivalent of Underpants Gnomes.

Probably thought it would just die slowly because no one would be stupid enough to believe the nonsense they were spewing.
1308  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Leroy Fodor & Tài Tưng Tửng's (Bui Anh Tài) StakeMiners is an insolvent Ponzi! on: October 11, 2015, 06:09:46 AM
The problem is that the dude wanted out ASAP was because he lost all trust in you, AND you were stalling so to amass the funds. How the fuck did you forget about those aspects, Leroy Fodor?

You know that if you have 500,000 coins selling them on the market in a instant sell off, you may get 0.00000125 for the first 100,000 or so but by the time your done it will end up being 0.00000090 or less each for the rest. And shortly after that the price will increase back up to 0.00000125 each? If you can spread that over time you can get between 0.00000125 down to maybe 0.00000115 most.

So what?  You want me to sell our coins at a lower value, then 3 days later get a deposit where I would not be able to buy back the amount of coins we just sold 3 days earlier. This is how the pool was negatively effected, by not working with us allowing us to slowly sell the coins and demanding a payout and force the markets down during the selloff we would end up buying back less coins than we sold which lowers our income and hurts all of us.

Of course we know that. That's why we have been questioning your business model from day 1 and asking you to to use the blockchains the way they were intended to prove that everything is above board. something you have continuously refused to do.

The TOS did not have anything about delaying withdrawals to protect everyone else at the time of the withdrawal, so you should have either taken BTC from your personal account, or done something in the favor of the investor to get him to agree to a delay.

1312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: October 09, 2015, 03:48:22 PM
If someone which follows the set of rules and be discipline enoff. Can people make 50-100 $ a day just gambling in online casino.....?

even with rules and discipline the chance of getting profit in long term is still 40-60%
40% for winning and 60% for loosing, you may win consecutively but that win
will be taken if you loose consecutively. and what im sure about is you will
lose more than winning.

Making up numbers is not helpful to the conversation.

It is all about expected value. If you don't understand that, you will lose money. If you understand that, and don't apply it properly, you will lose money.
1313  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Poker automatics scam--How I lost 9 BTC plus $12000 by a deliberately fraud on: October 09, 2015, 01:57:30 PM
Christ almighty does that look stupid.

That's not how poker staking works, you shouldn't have fallen for that. Sorry you lost money, and good on you for trying to warn others, but it makes no sense to invest in a site like that.

Why do they need your money? To start a new bot? A working poker bot should make enough money to open up a new one quick enough that it doesn't really make sense to continually take on more money.
1314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Getting a living from Gmabling alone is possible? on: October 09, 2015, 04:43:12 AM
Of course it's possible.

It's a lot easier if you own a casino or are a bookie, because it's a lot easier for them to find +EV bets, but it is is very difficult.

You aren't going to make a living playing dice, but with lots of hard work and patience and studying you can make a living on sports betting, poker, video poker (with certain payouts/promos), blackjack (at the casino, very carefully) and other bets with a positive expectation.

Making a +EV bet does not mean that you will never lose, but you have a lot better chance of making money that way than by making -ev bets.

Also note that possible does not mean likely or easy. If you sit at a poker table you will be playing against several other people trying to take your money. Betting on sports means searching for mistakes by bookmakers, finding arbitrage opportunities, and hoping you don't get robbed/kicked out of sports books. In video poker you need to find the right machine and play correctly. Blackjack you need to count cards and hope no one figures out what you are doing before they ban you or shuffle the shoe.
1315  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to make Cricket betting more profitable on: October 09, 2015, 12:21:04 AM
I know nothing about cricket, but all the sports betting talk on this forum misses the most important thing, change your bet size based on how confident you are in the bet.

It makes no sense to bet the same amount on a bet with 1.25 odds and one with 2.5 odds, you should be more confident about the 1.25 bet so you should bet more.

Out of all the nonsense people post about bitcoin, this is my favorite.

1318  Economy / Gambling / Re: Fanduel/Draft Kings on: October 06, 2015, 03:48:08 AM

Definitely true.  I guess it does have some thinking to do.  Currently I am playing it in a 5 dollar tournament, I am placed around 1400 out of 500,000 people.  i am supposed to win $125 dollars so we will see if it pays out.  I guess I will not be depositing more money in here just in case.

That's fine, have fun, but I don't suggest investing big money in these sites, there are too many issues. People are digging into this mess from last week and finding more. The 50th ranked player according to rotogrinders works for fanduel. Amazing that he can do that only playing on 1 site, seems like he's throwing money away by not being able to play on fanduel.

I got scared off when I was doing research for my baseball draft. Read an article (in march) claiming that a guy was pretty bad, but keep him in mind at home, against lefties, in July and August when it's super humid. that clued me in that people were paying serious attention. That, plus the ease of putting in multiple lineups/entering every contest really turned me off before this shady stuff sprung up.

When I played online poker I didn't really have to worry about Phil Ivey taking all my money (at the table, not from Full tilt) because I wasn't playing high enough for him to waste his time on my. You do need to worry about the Phil Ivey of DFS taking your money because once he figures out what lineups he wants, it's very easy for him to enter it in every contest that he can find.
1319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Debuni Sport TIPS, new approach on: October 05, 2015, 11:18:26 PM
You should keep track of how much you are betting (and winning or losing) to give a more accurate picture.

Also, maybe explain some of the reasoning of your bets. That way we can tell if you are lucky/unlucky or offer tips and realize how you are thinking.
1320  Economy / Gambling / Re: Fanduel/Draft Kings on: October 05, 2015, 11:16:24 PM
Be careful with these. some people are paying a lot more attention to how to win these than you would think, and that's even before we get into shady shit.

Like last week, a draft kings employee that can see (and leak) everyone's lineup before tournaments start coincidentally won 350k on fanduel.

I understand use caution with everything, but I personally don't see what the big deal is if a lineup gets leaked, it doesn't mean the players are going to perform better or worse right?

If the staff can see lineups in time to set lineups themselves it can cause lots of problems.

First, they can copy lineups from the better players, and they know who the better players are because they have access to records.

Also, part of the thing with these fantasy sites is that you need a relatively unique lineup. If two qbs are close in skill level, and one is used by 40% of the players and one is used by 2%, you would want to take the 2% because then you have less people to beat if that qb has a big game. Having the same lineup as everyone else makes it a lot harder to win big prizes because you can't beat those players.

I understand all that, but the problem I am seeing with your logic is, the players still have to perform.  I honestly don't believe there is any scamming/cheating going on at these sites.  The NFL players still have to perform, and that is going to be luck, not skill for the most part.

There is definitely skill in picking the correct players. Just like there is skillin betting on sports correctly. Yes, there is luck involved, especially in regards to injuries and whatnot, but there is lots of skill.

Let's imagine I'm playing you in a head to head contest, do you not see how it would be to your advantage to know my lineup before making yours?

It's the same with knowing people's picks in a survivor pool. If there are 10 people in the pool, and I know the other 9 all picked the Giants, I would pick any team besides the giants, because if my team wins and the giants lose I win the pool, whereas if I pick the giants I have a 0% chance of winning the pool this week. Same thing applies to this. If you have the same lineup as someone else, you can't win. If you know what people are picking, you increase your odds of winning by being able to make a unique lineup.
