I want to mention again for those of you who are new here:
It's normal to expect a 200%+ block from time to time. We are 174% at the moment. All pools have them. Even higher at times. Look at the last time we had a 200%+ block. It was November 26th. The positive way of looking at this is you are slowly but surly working towards your 5N Diff. Hang in there. All will be well.

bringing my buddy to the pool, not big but abt 20+ ths. will be here in couple of hours still early at this part of the world.
let's go rock & roll !
& he might convince his buddy to bring over 160ths.
Sounds good... Thanks for spreading the word!!!

Ok. Moved 5th over and will move another 5th tomm. And if all goes well in a month I'll move another 10-15th over and wait another month And do the same again
Thank you very much, wikkidtt. I've been sleeping. Stayed up too late last night. I know this block is a bit long at the moment. A good way of looking at it is your 5N is accumulating. When a block is found, you are a little higher up in the N range to get a little higher payout.

I follow you a ton. When i saw on the S7 forum that you moved over to kano, I switched that day. Just un-boxed and set up 2 S7 batch 8s and pointed them here. Thank you for pointing your rigs here, ATCkit. All of us here at the pool appreciate it very much! Congrats on the new S7's. I imagine you've been looking forward to another fix... "fix" meaning, like a drug... Let us know what you think of the Batch 8 after you've had them up a couple of hours. Happy Mining. EDIT: I'll say this, There are many worth following here in this forum. Much to be learned here with links provided for other things to learn. Even with behind the scenes politics of bitcoin and bitcoin mining.

well I'm going to give this place a go!!! if it goes well ill move some hash power over
Thanks for pointing some of your rigs over here, xleejohn. Very much appreciated for anything you point here. I hope we can soon convince you to point the rest over here. Just remember it will take approximately 4 full days to ramp up to full payout. Once you have reached full payout, it would be beneficial to stick around for at least 2 to 4 weeks for a decent comparison. Hopefully, you will be convinced to move the rest over after that 2 to 4 weeks. Happy mining, Sir.

10 days is nowhere near a long enough sample size to make any determinations. I've been running a test for an entire year on p2pool - comparing standard p2pool payouts to OgNasty's/Nonnakip's NastyPoP implementation. That's a far better sample size . Take a look at kano's pool vs some of the others over the past year and you'll get an idea of how it fares. Yup-I know it takes more time to have the stats work in one's favour. ( For example, when you look at ckpoolmonitor.zachmonroe.com , the current 30 day average here is 0.00816446. Kano's long term average is the highest of any pool. So, I think a lot come here expecting to immediately do better than on another pool. However, after say 5 days, if they aren't seeing the same 5 day average ( ex: 0.00921269 by end of yesterday on ckpoolmonitor), they don't understand and don't say anything. They simply go to another pool. ) Anyway, I have seen your numbers. Also, I have followed many of you on a plethora of forums and have come to trust certain guys who have switched here in the last few weeks. So, I'm going to stay here a lot longer than i usually do when checking out a new poolWell said... That's why I mentioned in my PM's to others to give it a try for AT LEAST 2 weeks (14 days). However, that may not be long enough for them to see it's better than other pools. A month or longer for sure. Some are in a situation where they feel they cannot wait long during a slow time here at the pool. It's understandable... In any case, if one feels they have to leave for whatever reason, I want them to know they are welcome to come back any time.

I also moved over here from slush. I always wanted to try kano, but never had a reason - untill now . Welcome to the fold. The more the merrier! Spread the word, please. Happy Mining.

And one of the better reasons for sticking with kano is that it's NOT a Chinese pool!
Weather a pool is Chinese or not is irrelevant tbh. Like Bitcoin, the internet is global & does not recognize countries or borders. What is important is weather a pool is SPV mining or not. Any SPV pool in any country should be avoided +1

Thanks for the pm. Id like to say you did a fine job explaining it.. I made the switch a cpl days ago now.. Got a good feeling about this pool. And i feel the pool donation isnt just going to fast cars and hookers (although if it was that's alright by me you guys spend more than enough time working here and on your pool enhancements) By the looks of this thread and others the ops of this pool are much more community oriented..Actually looking out for us little miners:).. When your small like most of us are every block counts!!! Big thanks for all you guys do and have done for the community. Best Regards d57heinz Sure, you're welcome. I do need to edit something I said but it's a good edit. I said in the PM it would take about 5 days to ramp up to full payment. At current average hash rate of the pool, it would take approximately 4 days I believe. If I am wrong, someone please correct me.

Thanks for the PN! My miners are still connected to Antpool ATM, but I am really thinking about pointing them towards Kano Thanks for your consideration, Captain. You're welcome to point them here of course. Yes, it takes about 4 days at present to ramp up to full payment but it may turn out to be more profitable for you and to the network to point them over here. I don't want to pressure you. Everyone has their own particular situation. Your consideration is much appreciated. Happy Mining.

Thanks for the PM guys. I'm still trying to make my decision. I created a account awhile ago when I wasn't happy with slush and My profits were bad. I'll think about this some more. The only concern for me is the restarts you guys keep doing as some of my miners are in locations where going offline could be bothersome as the beeping would interfere with people working. If I do come over I would slowly bring over my 20th. As I still have bills to pay.
Thank you kindly for considering pointing your rigs here. Even if it's one at a time over the course of time. Every rig adds up over time. Much appreciated. You're welcome to point them here any time, Sir. Happy Minning.

5,249.97THs Slush goes down and Kano starts growing up! Just switched over my small rigs last Friday from there Thanks for pointing your rigs here. The more the merrier! Spread the word to any friends you have. Would be appreciated very much. Happy Mining.

Sorry to hear it's not working. Anyone is welcome here as long as they are not up to mischief with the pool. Hope you get it to working soon.

Thanks Kano,
I had to take a break. I just sent out maybe 50 PM's. I will send out more tomorrow. I started with page 1076 and went back to page 1071 and completed it on a particular pool forum. I'll start tomorrow on page 1070 and work back to page 1061. I plan on doing 10 pages each day until I get all the way back to about page 900 or maybe 800. Surely, that should help get some more to come over. All I can do is ask and they say yes or no.
I'm getting responses to my PM's already. Gotta go.

All 30 miners running top speed on Kano.
Thanks for bringing them over, wolfen.

I know this type of project is right up your alley and you've already pulled the trigger so to speak but you seem to be the perfect candidate for having your S7s hosted in a data center. Good luck and I hope it all works out for you so you can get all of your machines pointed towards Kano!
Yes, I'm pulling the trigger. I'm just the type of guy who prefers to do it themselves. If anything were to go wrong with a rig, there is no one to blame buy myself or the manufacturer [Depending on what went wrong]. I feel better not being concerned about if anything went wrong, would I be compensated for the loss of a rig(s). I've seen too many horror stories for me to risk 78 or more rigs potentially getting lost, stolen, burned up, etc... then hope they had insurance that would take care of it IN AN EFFICIENT AND TIMELY MANNER. There are good hosting centers I might consider trusting in the future, such as, Toomin, sidehack, or Oregon Miners. That's about it. In the mean time, I intend to keep going here till I reach 600 amp demand and cannot add anymore. THEN, I will see about hosting the rest afterwards. The price savings between keeping them for myself verses hosting is very little difference IMHO. At least during the winter. At present, my revenue is 4 times my power costs. EDIT: BY THE WAY, Good job finding that block on kano.is

AriesIV10 just mentioned this on the forum and they are right. The RPM's on your fans are WAY TO LOW! If it is on auto, take it off of auto and put it on manual to 100% as soon as possible. At least 80 or 85 percent minimum. My guess is you already have them on manual and need to increase the percentage.

Oopsy, I missed that one. Thanks Tupsu.

It's well within the spec of the chip, so it's all just down to cooling. Trouble is you only know the temperature in the middle of the board. So my concern would be what the actual temperatures of some of the chips that are getting less cooling are going to? With the "Right" cooling it should be ok... but there would be a much less margin for error.
Rich
Well said, but I'm just the type to baby my equipment because I personally feel the S7 will be able to mine profitable for possibly as much as 2 years. Especially, if you live in low power cost areas with 3 cents or less per kWH. I believe there will come a time the heat will take it's toll on the boards and you will slowly lose one chip after another if not properly cooled. That's my opinion of course. I hope you will be able to prove me wrong but only TIME will tell.
