1321  Economy / Economics / Re: Global famine on: August 23, 2022, 04:49:04 AM
It's just starting to happen! EU is now understanding that global warming is real when many Irish people had to buy a fan for the first time in their life. A lot is changing. But we are human race and we have been through couple of extinction cycles already and we won everytime. So this time we will also win.

But some drastic changes will be seen in coming years. Our daily lifestyle will have to be changed. Deforestation has to be stopped. Plastic usage will have to be stopped completely, dependency on fossil fuel needs to be shifted to alternate sources etc. It's our responsibility to make it good. Be the change you wish to see!
1322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The first physical business that accepts Bitcoin payments in my area. on: August 22, 2022, 06:20:49 PM
It's good that Nigerian people has another place to spend their bitcoins despite having a ban by NCB. But this kind of adoptions make me think how impactful will it be! Bitcoin is not a great tool for payment to be honest.

But for countries which are technologically backward, this will be an wonderful thing. But for countries where digital payment are already widely accepted, people will never move to an alternative payment method like bitcoin because frankly, no one likes to pay extra fees while making a payment.

Let's hope people will make use of bitcoin in this store.
1323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where is Satoshi's Bitcoin Stash ? on: August 22, 2022, 05:10:24 PM
Where is Satoshi's Bitcoin Stash ?  Is in Bitcoin Blockchain ?  Did Bitcoin Foundation played a role to change the Original Bitcoin Core and Bitcoin QT has been branded as Bitcoin Core to stop Satoshi Nakamoto from get access to his Bitcoin Stash ?  What is the story story ? Some might know about it and can do some investigation about how Bitcoin QT became Bitcoin Core and for what ?

Can Satoshi actually get access to his Genesis Block ?
Will the Bitcoin Community leaders agree with Satoshi ? On the maters of Who should be the Lead Maintainer of Bitcoin Core ?  The rules are Merit according to the Bitcoin Protocol instead of Bunch of illegitimate miners who .are the majority hash to get power by deception based on false consensus ?

Lol! You are trying to get an answer to a mystery which the entire bitcoin community don't know. There is an address which we believe belongs to Satoshi Nakamoto. Read the below article,

https://bitcoinplanet.net/info/what-is-the-wallet-address-of-satoshi-nakamoto/

Also the rebranding to QT to core doesn't affect the functionality of Satoshi's wallets till the time he holds the private key. That shows the true beauty of decentralization. It's not a bank where a group of people can ban you from accessing your own money!
1324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: In your opinion is this the end for Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency? on: August 19, 2022, 08:42:03 PM
So we have seen Cryptocurrency hit with many huge scams, come under increased scrutiny and regulation, as well as being the subject of environmental concerns.

As of late, Bitcoin is trading at the lowest levels I've seen it trade in quite some time.

So I made this poll to gage the latest opinions of the users here.

The question is, due to any of these issues, or a combination of them, are we finally going to see the end of Bitcoin and
Cryptocurrency or is it still a safe haven?

Lol! This is a discounted price of bitcoin which you may never be able to see again! So if you think bitcoin is dead, you can sell off your holdings or give them to me. I will ensure to make a better use of it. I don't know how many times, but I have seen such posts multiple times where people have claimed bitcoin is dead. But here we are again discussing the same thing over and over again.

Bitcoin is not dead! It can't be! It is just available at a discounted rate. Now it's up to you whether you want to make a better use out of it or leave it. I am personally accumulating more and more bitcoin as per my financial capacity. because bitcoin is a kind of asset which will someday give you the biggest return of your life!
1325  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Politics: Rent a House for Free and Earn on: August 19, 2022, 05:12:53 PM
Can we rent a House for Free?
and can we benefit from renting a house?

then the answer is YES

one of the many ways is to share the room for the house that we rent with other people or our friends.

Example :
I am a student and I am looking for a house for rent near my college. I am renting a house with 5 rooms in it. and in a month I have to pay $500USD rent. And of course I only need 1 room for myself. and the remaining 4 rooms. so this is where my job is to find my college friends who need room rent.
and at a university it is quite easy. especially if we have a study group. so here I offer friends to rent a room in the house I live in and I also give the freedom to share using other shared rooms such as the kitchen, living room and living room. so that every friend who rents a room also feels free to live in the house. and because there are only 4 vacant rooms so I'm looking for 4 people only. and I rent out each room for a monthly rate of $150USD. so 4x150=600USD.

Now I don't have to spend money on renting a house. even I get 100USD profit per month.

this is just an example. please share other solutions according to their respective opinions and experiences.

and sorry if anyone has already discussed this. I'm just sharing my experience. And maybe many of us have had the same experience.
I don’t know how it works in your country, but in my country, even in resort areas, houses are not rented out to the company of men or guys in 60% of cases. If the house is rented out to you, the number of tenants and the prohibition of renting out other rooms will be discussed. And you will be responsible for the actions of the rest of the gouging who will live with you in a rented house Smiley

Yes, exactly that's the case in my country as well. Firstly, landlords don't want to rent out a house to a bachelor male and even if they do, they won't allow you to sub-let. The rent agreement is made accordingly to prohibit this activity. Even if you have relatives coming to stay with you, that has to be notified to the housing society after taking permission from the landlord. Some good landlord definitely allows to do that, but many others will ask to see government IDs of your relatives. That's a big pain, especially for the bachelors!

But once you are married, it's pretty easy to get a house on rent but after that you wouldn't want to sub-let for sure! While I was a bachelor, I had changed my residence six times in eight years. It's not an easy task to be honest.
1326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ban in China and some noble countries. on: August 19, 2022, 08:05:40 AM
The Chinese government banned bitcoin and all trading connected to it, says it has no regulation and cannot be adopted to their system of foreign exchange. Now they tend to adopt and make use of NFTs, says it's under control. Why can this be? With this issue, it might cause other countries under China to do same.

Does it really matter?? Chinese people are already living in isolation since a long time. Whatever they use, is produced by them and they don't allow any western thing to get into their country. So it's not surprising that China was the first country to ban bitcoin and ICO.

NFTs are anyways rubbish. If China thinks they can control it, let them do it. NFT market will find some new buyer which is already crawling with criminals and money launderers. No impact on the real world!
1327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is there a crypto I can mine on my laptop on: August 18, 2022, 05:55:48 PM
Hello all, I was wondering if any of you know of any cryptocurrencies I could mine on my pretty standard laptop (Aspire V3-771G)?

Thanks  Smiley

With laptop, you can mine only CPU coins like Monero. There are multiple other coins as well,  it they are not worth it. Monero is a CPU minable coin so it is good to start with. However, I won't advise you to really use laptop for mining because they are not built to handle that extreme heat generated from mining activity. You will just burn your laptop at the end of the day.

If you have a desktop system, you can probably think it as an option. But don't expect to make a lot of money out of it.
1328  Other / Off-topic / Re: How Do You Think About UFO Catcher? on: August 18, 2022, 05:13:23 PM
I believe we all have played it during our childhood. Such kind of Claw machines are still found in big malls in almost all countries and their main consumers are children. I don't think it's harmful in any way till the time they are catching soft toys and chocolates with it. They do not form gambling habit due to such games. This is something we are overthinking.

Gambling is a serious business. When the kids are attracted to money, then it won't be a great thing and that's when the guardians need to get serious.
1329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How often do you use Bitcoin? on: August 18, 2022, 12:44:21 PM
To be honest, I don't have any option to use bitcoin. So it's a form of investment to me. When I had purchased my first home back in 2017, I coverted a good amount from my holding to pay the token amount to take care of the registration cost and other government taxes. Since my bitcoin savings helped me to take care of such a huge expense, I don't usually sell off my bitcoins.

I see one person has responded as daily. I would like to know his/her experience.
1330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT and what to buy now? on: August 17, 2022, 07:04:33 PM
hello everyone, I'm new to this site, but I have a strange feeling that bitcoin will not grow more than $ 26,000 anymore, I want to know your opinion, and where is it better to invest your bitcoins now? I heard that the NFT market is going up very well now, which NFT is better to invest in? or is it better to leave bitcoin, everyone who will help, and I will earn on this, I will throw in $ 10
my telegram https://t.me/muv_neo

Lol!!!!

If you have money in your pocket that you want to invest in cryptos, invest in Bitcoin and ETH only. You may add some privacy coins like Monero as well just for the future. But no NFT please!

But you like gambling,  then you can buy some NFTs for sure. But be ready to take the hit if the money goes to zero. That will never be the case for Bitcoin and ETH.
1331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Africa needs a single digital currency to prosper. on: August 17, 2022, 05:52:57 PM
Africa needs a transparent and western influence free administration to prosper. Nature has blessed Africa with rich natural resources. But due to the administration, the benefits are not reaching to common people. Also it needs to defeat the terrorist organizations operating out of Africa.

A single digital currency can surely help but this is not the most important thing for Africa to prosper. It's can be seen as a cost cutting initiative which can also bring transparency into their financial framework. Only having a digital currency can't help!
1332  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Hong Kong consider Bitcoin? on: August 17, 2022, 05:23:31 PM
Nope! I don't see it happening! Bitcoin isn't created to alleviate economical downturn. It is just a truatless currency. If Hong Kong is already struggling with their currency rate fluctuations, bitcoin will make it worse because it is an extremely dynamic currency system.

So no leader will choose that path for sure. Also China has a direct control over Hong Kong and the Chinese government is known for their hatred against cryptocurrency. That's another reason why Hongkong will not adopt cryptocurrency as a legal tender.
1333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc crime on: August 17, 2022, 03:09:56 PM
Recently 3 suspects were arrested by Israel police for laundering money internationally through crypto. This money was stolen from France. This is a major international money-laundry.

Such kind of incidents are quite frequent nowadays. Also I don't foresee a reduction in this numbers of money laundering using cryptocurrency. The NFT market has given an entirely new route for such non sense. But can we blame the money itself for such things?

The answe is no! Money laundering has been happening since ages. Criminals will always keep on doing their thing but does that make the money dirty? Such crimes has nothing to do with bitcoin. It's just a acceptable medium of exchange. Take it that way!
1334  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it me or the private sector in the EU is dead ? on: August 16, 2022, 06:12:41 PM
High inflation is everywhere! But that does not mean that the businesses are dead. EU is a high cost region compared to Asian and African countries. So think rationally, if you are in need of a web developer, would you hire someone at 30 EUR hourly rate or 5 EUR hourly rate at the same experience with same output?

In difficult times, businesses look forward for opportunities to optimize their cost and increase profitability. That's why for information technology domain, jobs are going to Asian countries, especially to India. So business is here, but a cost optimization is ongoing.
1335  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: You moved to another nation/give up your citizenship, can the IRS still get you? on: August 16, 2022, 04:46:33 PM
It depends on couple of things,

1. Which country you are moving in and if that country is an ally of US or not.
2. If you have taken up dual citizenship or completely given away US citizenship. If dual citizenship is active, you still have to pay taxes based on the certain number of days you have stayed in US
3. If the country is not an US ally, do they any agreement for handing over criminals/frauds made in US. A lot of countries actually do have this in place
4. How much money you actually owe to IRS

It's best to consult with a criminal lawyer specialized in financial  crime.
1336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CHINA is against the crypto But JAPAN is Supporting crypto echo system . on: August 16, 2022, 05:03:42 AM
China is against everything that is western. They have their own version of computer operating system, own set of softwares made by Chinese corporations, own communication system and what not! That is very clever because during a war, China would not be dependent on any outsider. The way Taiwan conflict is going now, a war seems to be imminent.

On the other hand, Japan is a progressive nation unlike China. Japanese people are known for their discipline and civic sense. We also know that Japan is the first country which accepted crypto with a huge tax.

But when it comes to world stage and impact on economy, crypto doesn't have a lot of power to influence such trillion dollar economies. So I don't think China will understand the importance of crypto and revisit their decisions anytime soonner or later.
1337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of privacy coin is not looking good on: August 15, 2022, 06:09:02 PM
I have few privacy coins in my wallet and the future regulation and the hatred from government on privacy coin making me feel like I've made the wrong choice, what do you think? Is this something to worry about? Or not

It's hard for the government authorities to bring down privacy coins. They can create n number of regulations but they will always stay around because a certain group of people will keep on using it. Privacy coins are meant for a niche users and they will keep on using it.

But yes, these coins will always have attacks from the regulatory authorities because they can't track the transactions made using these coins. But as an investment, these coins are not great because the utility is very specific.
1338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The implications of cryptocurrency on the global economy on: August 15, 2022, 04:58:32 PM
The use of cryptocurrency is has increase over the years as many people now see crypto as an alternative to the fiat. My question is if the government legalize cryptocurrencies are means of payment, what will be the implications on the global economy?

Even if a government legalizes cryptocurrency, they will not promote it. They will only focus on their own fiat. Also they will most probably create a separate tax class for cryptos and then impose heavy taxes on it. Overall, a government will never encourage its citizens to use an alternative currency over their own currency. Exceptions are there but that will remain as an exception only.

So with such things and no government backing, bitcoin will never be able to become a favorite payment method. To be honest, bitcoin is a bad payment method. Better alternatives are available. So it will stay as a trader's asset or investment largely.
1339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency = The mother or father of all scams and bubbles on: August 15, 2022, 05:46:41 AM
Since the inception of bitcoin, we have seen multiple attacks and detractors from known or little known personalities. I still remember when Jemie Dimon attacked bitcoin, how badly the market reacted. But now we are immune to such attacks and it doesn't matter anymore who says what about cryptocurrency and blockchain.

But such statement can only come from ignorance and lack of knowledge. Let people speak what they want while we will contine to enjoy a path braking innovation like bitcoin for our benefit.
1340  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: A private island in Bahamas is seeking to adopt BTC due to a lack of financial on: August 12, 2022, 06:50:52 PM
For a population of around 50 people, bitcoin using lightening network can definitely become a good and viable alternative than the mainstream financial system. Since no bank will be interested in setting up their operations for such a small population, there's no other way either.

Since this island solely depends on tourism, such kind of initiative may attract bitcoin population to their island. Slowly we are getting there!
