I really don't understand Marseille. They had a huge chance for winning a title in this season. But they just turned down the big opportunity after being eliminated by a small team. After eliminating PSG I was just seeing Marseille as the champions already. Because they were very strong among the teams remaining in the cup. But they gave it away and now they can just fight for the second spot in the Ligue 1. Because they let their championship chance slip here as well.

Their performance against PSG here was horrible as you remember. About the Rennes match I can only say that it will be really difficult. Rennes can take advantage of their demoralized condition and even beat them. I could pick Rennes' double chance for betting.

For me the biggest event of the week is Liverpool v Manchester United. Maybe Liverpool aren't one of the teams at top in this season but it still doesn't change the fact that this is a special match anyway. Nothing is guaranteed here despite Manchester United's being in much better shape. But one thing is certain that Manchester United have a bigger potential for a win. It is up to how good Liverpool defenders will be against them as well. Because their main issue has been with defending most of the time.

They will have to keep their opponent away from scoring first to have the match in more control. Erik ten Hag has been very successful against big teams in home matches so far. I wonder how good he will do in Anfield. Both teams should be able to score in this match to tell the truth. In addition to that I think double chance on Manchester United might also be an option for me.

I don't think Napoli should be called as the underdog team in their match against Lazio. No matter Napoli are home or away team in a match like this they are going to be the favourite anyway.

I really appreciate Napoli about especially one thing. Although the point gap with Inter has become too much now they are still not showing any complacency. Not all teams in a similar situation in big leagues do the same to tell the truth. Maybe Napoli's motivation is different and this is why how they are keeping their concentration level high all the time. In the end Napoli haven't been able to become the champions in the league since the 1989-90 season. They just want to consolidate their title as much as possible. I expect them to do their best against Lazio as well.

It was a really unbelievable match between Marseille and Annecy. Marseille could have actually finished the job by getting 2-0 ahead before anything else. But Malinovsky's great shot by a free-kick turned back from the post. After that Annecy scored two goals in only six minutes. It was really shocking for Marseille. Annecy were nearly even finishing the job in regular time. But Mughe was like a savior for Marseille only four minutes after he was subbed in. It was a really interesting goal in the last minute.

But still Annecy managed to eliminate them by penalties. It is really hard to believe Marseille have been eliminated by them when we think Marseille did the same to PSG which was the biggest favourite of the cup.

The Europa League is very important for Sevilla as well currently. Because this is their only way out about qualifying for the Champions League again. Their performance was much better against PSV unlike their look in the La Liga as well. It also proves that they are caring about the Europa League more now. But they need to be very careful while doing that as well. Because this can even lead them to be still under the threat of relegating from the league even on the last match weeks.

Their next opponent is Fenerbahce here and that reminds of me of their incredible matchup in the Champions League in the distant past. It is nice to see these teams facing each other again. I can't be sure of anything about this matchup for now. Sevilla's job might not be as easy as they think.

One of the names speculated to fill Galtier's place at PSG might is Gerrard now. This is pretty interesting to hear about and I don't feel like it would happen as well. Because I just think that why would PSG like to bring another inexperienced manager with big teams in case they sack Galtier. It doesn't make sense to me. If they really make up their mind about sacking after the end of the season then I just expect them to go for a more experienced and successful manager.

At that point Zidane's name might be heard more often. As they are the biggest team in France now I think Zidane might really think of signing for them seriously. I can't imagine how much better the team would be then.

Milan are going to play another big match this time against Fiorentina away. There is a really significant deal of improvement in Milan's performance recently. After having a time period with big problems in defense and offense both they have finally started to make up for the loss of points. Their winning streak has reached 3 matches for now but I have some doubts that they can maintain it after this match as well. Because Fiorentina can make significant difficulties for them home.

Even though Milan became the champions in the previous season they still lost to Fiorentina away by 4-3. Now Milan's condition is not even at the same level with the one in that season. I'd rather bet on each team to score and move on.

Lens could have done better than this in the Coupe de France. They could have eliminated Nantes actually but they failed big time. Both of Nantes' goals came by penalties. The first one was really amateurish of Lens defense by the way. But the goalkeeper was really desperate right before the second one. Besides Lens had two huge opportunities to get 2-1 ahead during the match as well. One of them was cleared just in front of the goal line and the other shot hit the goal post.

Lens were already out of the title race in the Ligue 1 and now they are out of this cup early as well. This season was actually going on good for them but now they made it more difficult for themselves.

Juventus showed some weaknesses against set pieces in this match. Torino's first goal came thanks to that as well. Karamoh was so comfortable behind to do the final touch. However this still wasn't a hindrance for Juventus to win by a great score like 4-2. By the way Torino had a really big opportunity when the score was 2-2. There was one shot by them which hit the upper goal post. Maybe things would have been more different if they got ahead there. There was a similar situation for Juventus too of course with Vlahovic.

But in the end this victory was really important for Juventus. While Atalanta are having a horrible form Juventus are taking advantage of it by continuing to win.

I have seen an injury information about Lewandowski. He isn't expected to play in this match for now as it seems. This would be really bad news for Barcelona in the Copa del Rey match if it is true. Because Lewandowski is the key player for the team in the end. In his absence they are losing a significant deal of power about scoring goals. Because they don't even have a proper substitute for him. Depay's leaving the team isn't good at all in such situations as a result.

In this case I will go for Real Madrid as for betting. I think they will be one step ahead of their opponent in this case with the help of Benzema and Vinicius especially.

It feels like not only Bayern Munich and Dortmund will leave Union Berlin behind in the standings. I expect the same from Leipzig to do as well. Union Berlin aren't a very durable team to tell the truth. They can be a quite fragile team in some time periods. We have seen it in their match against Bayern Munich recently as well. I don't expect to see them in the title race after a point. They don't seem to have the motivation and strength for going until the end.

To do so they might need to have a better squad. Of course not always teams with great squads become the champions. There is a great Leicester example in front of us. But this isn't a thing which is seen very often either.

It was a really horrible run of four weeks for Villarreal until the match against Getafe. But finally they put an end to that by a decent win. Actually Getafe's getting ahead first was worrying. Enes Unal scored a really good header there. But Villarreal made the comeback before it was too late. Getafe goalkeeper should have been able to save the shot on first goal in a better way. The second goal came due to a space in defense and it wasn't difficult to make use of the chance for Morales.

Maybe the losing series has ended for Villarreal. But still they need to do better than this for some more weeks to be able to get higher in the standings.

It looks like there is not much time left for seeing Gabriel Jesus in the lineup again. Because his condition for the match against Everton looks like questionable now. Maybe we wouldn't see him in the starting eleven but he might enter in the second half. I assume Arteta would start with Nketiah in his place again. Depending on his performance Jesus' time to enter would be determined. I will be expecting a very effective attacking effort from Arsenal in this match.

I know how they lost to Everton in their previous head-to-head. It was due to Arsenal's defensive mistakes and being incapable of finishing. I will be much bigger effort this time as they must have learned their lesson.

Dortmund are going to play one of their toughest fixtures next time. It is a home match against Leipzig. Dortmund are favoured for the win maybe but bookmakers are expecting a close match anyway. I also think the same as them to tell the truth. Yeah maybe Dortmund are still on a winning streak which has lasted really long so far. But this match might put an end to it depending on their performance. Dortmund and Leipzig have some very similar statistics now as well - like their number of goals scored and conceded both.

However Dortmund are very successful in home matches so far. I wonder how Leipzig can deal with it. My first pick for betting is both teams to score.

It was a really solid match for Fiorentina against Verona today. They got a reassuring 3-0 win but they actually weren't very well at defending. They must be thankful for their goalkeeper as well because of his important saves during the match. Biraghi's goal was pretty awkward by the way. Because Verona were caught unprepared for a quickly used set piece there. Biraghi saw the goalkeeper a little ahead and his goal attempts from a far distance was incredible really.

After a break of many weeks Fiorentina really needed this win to improve their morale to tell the truth. They deserved it.

Another bad performance by Chelsea players and it wasn't surprising to see Tottenham getting a win after. Skipp's goal was incredible by the way. It was a shot that was really difficult to save for Kepa. But the second goal came due to a defensive positioning mistake. Kane was so comfortable to touch the ball and score the relieving goal for his team. Chelsea didn't even have proper dangerous goal chances throughout the match. By the way I don't have any idea why the referee turned Ziyech's red card to yellow after watching the incident. I think it deserved a red card.

Anyway I believe Potter should be sacked at the end of the season. I think he has a big role in this.

Union Berlin are one of the impressive teams of the season now. It isn't only in the Bundesliga. They are doing great in the Europa League as well. Eliminating Ajax wasn't an easy task for them of course. But in Germany there was a really strong Union Berlin fighting with them. While Ajax had to focus on the Eredivisie more to climb to the top again there was a big opportunity for Union Berlin to take advantage of. They did it really nicely by a solid 3-1 win. Maybe ball possession percentage was really low for them but it didn't mean anything anyway.

Looking at their next opponent I can comfortably say that Union Berlin can reach next stage as well.
