I think that Atletico Madrid are strong enough to eliminate one of the teams played in the finale of the previous season. Inter are still an impressive team which I must absolutely admit. Lautaro Martinez looks much stronger and more effective with his scoring capabilities this season. He is a deadly scorer for Inter now so one of Atletico Madrid's priorities must be to defend him as strong as possible. But even if they become successful on this task Inter still have other really effective cards in their hand like Hakan Calhanoglu, Barella, Thuram and so on.  I don't think Atletico Madrid would lose to them in Spain but they will need to fight really hard for a good result in Italy to be able to finish the job home later on. |

It doesn't look like we will see big changes in driver positions in Formula 1 before 2024 season. I mean even Sargeant is said to be keeping his seat at Williams.  This season was like he was continuing from where Latifi left.  Williams have a new GOAT now! Joking aside the damage he gave to the car and the cost of it was really heavy for Williams. Albon had a much better season than him. Albon is of course a more talented driver than him but Sargeant is also not a bad driver normally. I don't know maybe he couldn't adapt to Formula 1 cars quickly. If he doesn't improve next season then I don't feel like he will be able to keep his seat any longer. |

Sporting weren't actually doing good with the biggest matches in the league until it came to the Porto match. We watched a really good performance from Sporting players and it was a deserved 2-0 win then. Winning big matches is really important if you are fighting for the league title. Maybe Sporting have increased the gap with Porto to 3 points but Benfica are still right behind them by only 1 point. Benfica beat them like a month ago as well so they are also really competitive for the title this season. Benfica are going for a back-to-back title at the same time but we will see. The race for the title is quite heated now. |

Good for Lyon that they have had a 3-match win streak recently. If they manage to keep this up as much as possible they should be good to go for staying safe from the relegation area. For this season staying in the Ligue 1 must be the primary target for Lyon I think. Because they aren't in a position to think much about bigger achievements. The most they could do would be to finish the league in the middle of the league standings I think. But even to do that they need to get a lot of wins from now on. I hope that Lacazette also maintains a good performance about scoring goals. He is one of the crucial players for the team especially about scoring goals. |

I don't find Barcelona good enough nowadays. They are having a poorer season in the La Liga as well. Their current form there is bad and this has caused them to stay quite behind Real Madrid - Girona duo.  They made unnecessary point losses in their Champions League group as well. These all combined point out a bad look for Barcelona in general. As a result I wouldn't be confident about them against Napoli in this draw either. At least for now. Because there is still a lot of time to go until the first leg. Xavi should figure a way out about how the team can get better than this. The team performance should be improved somehow. They are weak at defending especially. |

Boxing Day was quite decent for the Premier League. I mean there was only 1 match with less than 2 goals scored in it. Even in that match there were 2 goals scored. We watched so many goals yesterday and a really surprising events as well. Like Nottingham's destroying Newcastle away by 3-1... And of course there is Manchester United's mesmerizing comeback as well! I don't know what happened at halftime but Manchester United were like a different team in the second half. I really admired Garnacho's high effort. Hojlund was nearly wasting another goal chance but his shot hit the inner post this time and found the back of the net. |

Faiz artışlarının böyle azar azar devam etmesinin pek bir faydası olur mu? Bence olmaz. Tabi keskin artışlar gerçekleştirilse de dolar üzerinde yapacağı etki geçici olacaktır ama yine de şu anki izlenen yoldan çok daha mantıklı bana göre. Hatta en başta ilk artış yapıldığı zaman çok daha yüksek oranda yapılması lazımdı. Bu olmayınca ondan sonrasının nasıl olacağını da aslında göstermiş oldu. Birçok kişi o ilk artış yaptıkları zamanda biraz dolar satıp pozisyon almıştır ama beklediklerini alamamış oldular.

I think that this result is good for Galatasaray side anyway despite those really poor performances. At least they didn't lose this tough away match. Maybe they can turn this into their advantage if they manage to win the rematch at Rams Park but we will see. If the situation becomes like the winner of that match wins the title as well then we can at least watch a much more interesting match than this. When it comes to the Super Cup match hopefully it will be a better match than their last meet. By the way the total prize to be given to both teams is 108 million Turkish Liras. The winner is going to be given 65 million while the second is given 43 million. As the great prize is really good this must be the reason why this finale is being played in Saudi Arabia. |

Ama Liverpool'un verilmeyen penaltısı daha bi şok etti beni. Martin Ĝdegaard'ın eliyle topa dokunduğunu bütün stat gördü. Salah topu ondan geçirip şut pozisyonu bulacaktı. Martin Ĝdegaard bi kaleci gibi topa dokundu. Pozisyonu bozdu. Hakem görmedi belki. Ama VAR hakemi de pozisyonun incelenmesi için hakemi uyarmadı. Geçen hafta Manchester United maçında da hakem hataları Liverpool'un başını yakmıştı. Bu maçta da bariz bi hata gördük. Premier Ligde bunları görmek üzücü. After the third finished teams in the Champions League came to the Europa League we have some changes in balances for the odds. After Liverpool and Leverkusen bookmakers show Milan as the third closest team to the Europa League title. Milan are normally a strong team and they have a lot of experience in competitions like this as well. But I don't feel like they can create a big competition against Liverpool and Leverkusen for now. I mean I didn't like their general effort in the Champions League.
Liverpool and Leverkusen are playing very dedicatedly compared to them. In case of a draw between one of the teams and Milan I wouldn't give Milan much chance.

It looks like nearly all of the teams whose names have been called with the European Super League have rejected to play under this format. There are rumours about only Barcelona and Real Madrid to be okay with that but surely this format won't work with only these 2 teams. As a result I don't expect UEFA to face any competition in the near future. By the way UEFA president Ceferin said that football was not for sale. I understand him about why he used this sentence considering these speculations. However this statement is normally not much sincere to tell the truth. Things can really change a lot when organizers are offered a lot of money. |

Hayatımda en çok sıkılarak izlediğim derbi kesinlikle buydu. Güya dedim ki iki takım da gol yollarında çok etkililer ama birbirlerine karşı oynayınca çok tutuk bir oyun sergilediler. Tamam anlıyorum şampiyonluk açısından kritik maçlardan birisi sonuçta çoğunlukla iki takım da maçlarını kazanıyorlar. Yine de bu derece kontrollü ve sıkıcı bir oyun da sergilemezsin. Premier Lig'de Liverpool ile Arsenal geçen oynadılar mesela onlar da lig liderliği için oynadılar ama zevkli bir oyun sergilediler. Tabi karşılaştırdığın liglere bak desenize. Bizim derbide de anca düdük çalsın oyun zırt pırt dursun. |

Alperen Şengün artık ciddi ciddi All-Star için düşünülmeli bana göre. Dün geceki New Orleans'a karşı oynadığı maçta 37 sayı, 11 ribaunt ve 6 asist gibi inanılmaz bir performans sergiledi. 37 sayı aynı zamanda onun için bir kariyer rekoru da oldu. Herkes ondan bu maç sonrası ekstra bir övgüyle bahsediyor. All-Star oylamasında şüphesiz özellikle Türkiye'den ciddi oranda oy toplayacaktır. All-Star ilk 5'inde olmasa bile yedeklerde olması da onun için çok büyük bir gelişme olacaktır. Zaten yedekte olup böyle bir maçta oynamamasının imkanı da yok. |

If he was fit he would play but it looks like he's not ready for 90 minutes. Semih Kılıçsoy got too many chances this season but he couldn't use it wisely. I don't see him in the future squad if he keeps playing like that.
Beşiktaş got the lead but conceded 3 goals, the problem is all came from personal mistakes. You can't play like that in a Super League game constantly. Rıza Çalımbay have to punish those players. Concentration is gone. It's the manager's job to fix that. Amartey was awful today. The scoring problem continues. At least one striker and one scorer winger is needed in Winter transfer season.
I'm afraid Riza Calimbay has just got sacked by the board. The words he used after the last match must have made a big impact on this decision by the board. Things are still very shaky at Besiktas and it doesn't look like the rest of the season will get better for them either. But they can at least use this time period to find a way to recover and prepare strongly for next season.
There are only 2 days left for the big derby match between Fenerbahce and Galatasaray. The home advantage is really valuable for Fenerbahce but still we never know. Because both of these teams have been really solid so far. I expect an attacking game from both sides. I'm sure about that when it comes to Fenerbahce but I guess that Okan Buruk also wouldn't like to prefer a cautious game in a critical match like this. I think both sides will score and it feels like Galatasaray won't lose as well. |

I still want to believe in Napoli to recover sooner or later. They have had a really tough process after parting ways with Spalletti indeed. But every bad time period must have an ending as well. They had better recover quickly before it is too late for them this season. Because they aren't a part of the Serie A title race anymore. Now they are only fighting for finishing the season in top 4 at least when we think about this situation realistically. This fight won't be easy at all while they are losing many points. They had better hope for Osimhen to keep up a solid form like this during the rest of the season. Otherwise they would be still very likely to lose many more points. |

It seems like the Conference League isn't much to get excited about, even though the teams that play here are at least still part of the top European leagues . But ya,still, the reality is that the Conference League is not as interesting to look forward to as it is about what kind of team has a better chance of getting the trophy . But maybe, becasue still there Aston Villa who is having a very good trend this season, then maybe Aston Villa will be a strong candidate to get the Conference League trophy this season.
But about Ajax who will play against Bodo/Glimit in the play offs, I think both have a chance to qualify for the next round of the Conference League. Because ya, anyway, at least we can't put high hopes on Ajax at this moment,because Ajax is really facing a recovery period . Also,it's unclear whether Ajax will prioritize the Eredivisie or focus on the Conference League and therefore, I guess it doesn't seem like there are any guarantees for Ajax at this point.
To tell the truth my favourite to win the title is Aston Villa as they are the strongest one among the remaining teams now. If their performance in the group stage was bad then I would have reconsider my choice but they weren't like that at all. They had a solid group stage. Maybe their group wasn't the most challenging one but still. Aston Villa are really busy with the Premier League on one hand as they are fighting really hard in the most difficult league in Europe. They are very competitive for even the title there for now. Considering that I wonder if they would have any problem on balancing these two tournaments later on. But they are just playing really different in Emery's control so I would expect them to be successful at doing this. |

I believe that Harry Kane has a really big role in Bayern Munich's being shown as the second biggest favourite for the Champions League title by bookmakers. Because his contribution level in his first year there is just incredible. He is a goal machine literally everywhere right now. He has been making contribution in two ways in the Champions League - goals and assists both. As long as he is in form like this Bayern Munich always have a chance for playing at least in the finale. But the team performance should stay solid in the meantime. Because they weren't reliable in the group stage as much as they have been in the Bundesliga. |
