Here's a question. I've already been refunded by Anon136, but if it's ok by others I'd be glad to send my 1 BTC back to him  It'll be my small contribution in Nfd. We could buy some Raspberries for that money and set several nodes for example. Good point, it would be a good idea to get the list of people Anon refunded, so that we dont end up doing double payment of NFD to some. Anybody knows, if the spread sheet contained Anon's escrow shares as well? Thanks for doing this guys! Sounds like Armageddon is cominig, but I'm confused about 'you-know-who'. Are we expecting the second coming of BCNext, or the return of the devil, aka NFDcoin? Second guess nailed it. I'm on the list for my 'free' share (which cost 0.0015 bitcoin as I'm a newbie), but I also sent 0.09 bitcoin a few hours ago, and that's not on the spreadsheet. Will that still be counted for this new coin?
Someone else fetched up the BTC addresses. Blockchain.info should show it. Can the moderators unlock the scammer's forum account and extract all the PM's? That would make this reboot a lot easier. I wonder if the forum mods would consent.
We always can hope... All the BTT names are on the list. Plus what they are owed. Can't everyone just send their Password hash that we generated again in a PM to whoever is going to handle it? What am I missing here? |

That'll be a great example of community work. Someone got an idea to share coins with dev. I think it's fair. Let's do 10% development fund which will be under control of new dev. He could do all job himself or pay someone in Nfd for help or whatever.
I suggest paying each stakeholder 0.9 NFD for each 1 NFD they would have gotten if NFDcoin hadn't been a scammer. The dev group get the other 0.1 NFD (90% to original stakeholders) + (10% for the dev bounty) = 100% of the original NFD coins Pay ALL original stakeholderse 0.9 NFD for each 1 NFD they would have received. 10% would be 500 million. That is a little excessive for 1 guy. I think 100 million per developer is good and we should have no problem attracting talent. I think 10% is fair. |

im freaking out here.. i used electrum to send to escrow but the addresses blockchain says my transactions came from arent in my wallet "receiving" addresses? even though the addresses arent in my "receiving" addresses will they still find there way back to my wallet? could someone send the tiniest amount of btc possible to send to 1KoPYLSmZarbffdBXA84w9eM4MC2eGu9ka so i can see if it makes it back to my wallet? freakin out here!  sorry for begging but i have no other btc available to test it..? Sell a couple sharecoin and send the btc?? |

You had a good thing going.
Yes, it's quick money. But now you have used your talents to run this scam 3 times now. You have been able to get a lot of people to believe in your ideas. Over and over again. Many of the devs out there (not all, read NOT all but alot) just wish they could get people to believe in their ideas. You have done it at least 3 times.
If you used your talents for GOOD instead of bad, you would be making much more money in the end, and a decent return in the short timeframe.
You are hurting this community. Plus, sooner or later, you will make a mistake and one of these guys is going to find you and publish who you are. Then, bad things will happen. In a few years. We will be here, looking back, thinking, ouch!!! Well, he deserved what he got.

how it will bring PoW to stop, when you'll probably be adding new and new coins into the pool to make it profitable? I believe by doing everything we can to insure NEMs success, and making sure we seize every opportunity to fuel NEMs accent to the Number 1 system/crypto, people will start creating coins/systems in NEMs image, as opposed to Bitcoin/Litecoin/PoW. Of course at this point the multi-pool would cease to exist along with PoW, but while it is here we will follow the philosophy of taking advantage of all of our options to compete |

We had discussion within NEM core dev, and nem core dev* is almost unanimously against multipool.
but as utopianfuture noted, there is possibility, for getting funds from ecosystem and/or promotional funds.
Having said what I said: If you think this is good idea,you BELIEVE it it, and you think you'll find/convert enough supporters, GO FOR IT. There's nothing we (core dev) can do to stop you. First off, I want to thank you for all your hard work. Seriously, without you guys, we wouldn't be having this debate. I just want to make sure that people don't misinterpret what is quoted above. NOT EVERYONE on the dev team is against the plan. There is obviously a dev(s) on the core team that don't have a problem with the multi-pool plan going forward, as highlighted above. I thank you for not stopping us from moving forward with something that you are against. I also would like to thank Utopian and yourself for making clear the use of promotional funds as well. |

UtopianFuture is not against us getting a pool set up.
The multi-pool plan is not dead. Some of us will do what we need to do to get it up and running.
It will create buy support, bring in some participants that would otherwise not become involved, and bring additional attention to NEM in general.
This is a PROFITABLE plan. This may go against some beliefs people have, but it is MY belief that it will not be counterproductive to NEM.
I don't think it can be argued that it is not a PROFITABLE plan.

Any news about forging system?? The first version is implemented and is currently being integrated into the alpha. EXO is faster. Many beta versions already launched. So what LOL As a matter if fact, who cares. What does that even mean? NEM is in a whole different class. Like saying a bike is faster than a computer? Why cause it can move faster down the street? Because it can be put together faster? NEM is much more intricate. Im no computer wizard. But my guess is that you can go have fun riding your bike around town with your newNEM tshirt on. I have seen him bad mouthing NEM in many threats, using lies to damage us.
He is not interested in participating and helping community, but he is too greedy to not reserve stake in NEM.
He hates it (you can feel that negative emotional connotation in his posts), but obviously he has no ethical principles that would stop him from wanting piece of something he is fighting against.
A person creating a war, but making sure that even if he lose he profit.
Do not be naive, he is not being honest about his "concerns about NEM", it is absolutly obvious he is concerned only about his NXT stake value.
Have you seen him giving NEM team advices, suggestions? helping? participating? If he was concerned he could just discuss matters with NEM team and community, but that is not what he was doing. He was rather going around other threats spreading FUD.
It is not his opinion, it is his agenda.

I agree with most of the comments. For most of the BTC clones; the dependency on BTC is endemic. For NXT; I noticed that it is still problematic because, while the value of the coin respecting BTC increases; the value respecting any fiat currency (which at the end, are the currencies that can allow you to buy stuff and transfer value to the cryptocurrencies) is going down or it is keep in best cases. This is not good since it makes cryptocurrencies only useful as a high risk invesment instrument more proper for speculation. This is at the opposite of the NEM concept. IMO, the questions to solve are:
1. How to get independency from BTC
2. How to transfer value from the real world to NEM in a direct way (so then merchant can use directly)
3. How to establish an easy fiat-NEM exchange that goes in line with point 2
I think it is important to think how to solve these issues before launching or, at least to have some ideas how to do it. I am confident that the dev team can work in a solution but, as a community I think we need to discuss these issues

You have read up on NEM. Stated here I think POI is a flawed concept. I'm not sure what is meant by "different types of node", maybe someone can enlighten me.
So this would lead us to believe that you know that control C and Control V would not work. But you said it anyway. You keep saying it's a fork and clone, but you clearly know that statement is a lie. Below, I think we start to see what is really causing you to troll the way you have been here on this thread and others.
My main concern is that Nem and Nxt have the exact same stated goal: "The creation of a new economic movement." I full-heartedly support this objective. I do not believe a division of resources best serves this purpose.
So ok, you disagree with Nxt and NEM co-existing. That is fine. No one is giving you the chance to leave or community because of this. It is because of this: Nem is a pointless clone currency. It offers no features that Nxt does not already possess. A significant amount of funds have been taken from individuals and they are going to get nothing for it. That is unethical.
This and other post you have made about NEM are not true. Plus, as a matter of fact, I could keep on posting your own comments that contradict each other. This proves you are trolling. You are trying to hurt NEM because you disagree that they should co-exist. As you stated. Matter of fact, you have us to think we should all go to Nxt forum and pool our resources and only work on Nxt. This is your opinion to have as your own. I temporarily took 2Kool4Skewl from NEM stakeholder list as I understand that he does not want to be there. In the first 20 pages of the fundraising, many people do not entirely understand about the scope as well as purpose of NEM so it was easy just to post "interested" there by a mistake. Contrary to what used to be in the first page of the fundraising thread , NEM do offer refund after the announcement of detail development plan (probably in 2 weeks or so) so if someone does not feel they fit in with NEM community, they can leave voluntarily.
As written in ournem.com, at this stage NEM is first of all a community of which people share a certain ideas and goals and we going to build NEM/ Nemcoin as our decentralized payment platform together as we go along. I see no reason to keep people that are unhappy with NEM and this approach. There are no coins to share yet so it is not like we are taking anything from anyone. If 2Kool4Skewl wants to join back in, just say so before I make the unified stakeholder list and I will add him in.
The majority of NEM funding comes from Bitcoin and only about 30% of NEM stakeholders appear in NXT discussion before (see an excellent statistics by newcn) so I see NXT and NEM having quite a different demographics, also different technology and purposes. While I think there is a certain aspect of competition between the two blockchain, we can learn from each others as well. Some are developers of both NXT and NEM and they work across the aisle and I think that is a good thing. It will help advancing experiments and innovations in more directions. Compared to Bitcoin and other POW coins, NXT and NEM have more similarity and we can join force to emphasize our strength in a green economical network and highlight the problems with the computational arm-races used by Bitcoin and other POW coins. Let's focus on cooperation and innovation instead of envy and hatred as that are also NEM's core concepts and principles.
