Firstly I doubted if it was a real scam there
But as the team with the project gathered more than 3 mil I was sure it turned out to be a perspective project
it doesnt matter how much they gatherered. did they do an aggressive marketing strategy? yes. did they reach many people? yes. did they had unconditional financial support by powers behind them? likely, considering the cost of their marketing campaing. those powers will come back to them. will it be successful and longterm enduring? no, because its just an empty IT system claimed to be money claimed to be valuable, sold for money earned for time people worked.regards They didnt spend but a tiny fraction of 40 million on internet ads for the ICO. CPA for a download is WAY less than a dollar. So for much, much less than 3-5 million, they will have more users than Bitcoin. I have some considerations for this project. I am too far away to be an expert on crypto coins. I have just started trading it recently (Used to trade on Forex for years). All the markets are based on supply VS demand. After days reading and re-reading posts, infos and as much as I can of important infos about ETN, I have concluded that:
1 - If ETN was a SCAM, I am pretty sure they would have not stopped the ICO at 40m and would have raised more and more money and disappear after that.
2 - Instead of disappear, they are trying to get better systems for us (Monero news) and they keep in touch with everyone via email, social media, groups, etc.
3 - NONE can predict a price. That's impossible. It's up, as I said above, to the demand.
4 - It's a real fact that crypto world is still very young and a small number of people know how to walk into it. Ok, a few people knows about the existence of crypto, but most of them don't have a clue how to buy, how to use, for what does it serves, etc. ETN is looking to the masses, if they get sucess on this, the demand will be definitely HUGE.
5 - It doesn't really MATTER if it will dump at the first days, months or years, If they get success introducing the masses to it, it will grow up organically. So HODL!
6 - I have seen a LOT of people crying around groups for not buying enough coins, they are really sorry for it.
7 - About dumping it: If I bought at 0.01, WHY THE HELL I would sell for less than that? Dont make sense! If people sell their bonusses for 0.01.. I am sorry for them... it will grow later and they will cry again.
I believe in the ETN purpose, I see their vision for the future. I am in this project for at least 5 years (Unless It reaches a good price before that).

I always stay away from there overhyped projects, they tend to crash and burn after the ICO.

Did you read the thread posted above your post? You may want to do that. It points out that ETN had the most actual NUMBER of investors in history. You reffered to Tezos which was CLEARLY a bunch of WHALES because it had a small number of investors, and raised $240 million. Most expected that Tezos was only going DOWN first, but ETN is the opposite. It had 120,000 investors with only 40 million dollars because they cleverly placed the hardcap there. ETN sold out 11 days early, when it was raising about 3-4 million a day. So there is about 50 million or more (because everyday the number of investors was increasing) of demand stacked up waiting for exchanges to open. I'm very sceptical of these claims. Electroneum are paying for Twitter retweets from botnets and also paying people to post positively on BCT. How do we know that they aren't also gaming the investment statistics? First of all, the Botnet FUD is NOT true. 2nd, are you refering to people getting bounties for having Electroneum in their sig? That wouldnt fall under, "paying for posititive posts", as people can make any post they want, in any thread, they are only bounty coins because when they make ANY KIND OF POST, the sig is advertizing ETN links. So, your entire post is incorrect. And how about the over 20K Telegram users, is that a conspiracy, too??? Really? I don't think there has never been this so much noise about any coin in its ICO stage. This is phenomenon. I just hope we don't get disappointed when it finally hit the exchange.
I see many other coins make a lot of noise but the things here is more people attract the concept of Electroneum, now a days many people are spending a lot of for money but as now everything is the dilemma because Mobile mining is only for Electroneum or we can mine the other altcoins. Considering the adoption of the monero codebase, Can I switch my Claymore mining software currently mining monero, over to mining Electroneum just by changing the Pool and wallet address?
If so where will the address for the first Electroneum mining pool be posted? or will the address be in the config file for the official cpu miner Provided by Electroneum themselves... Which I can paste into Claymores config file?
No one will know until after launch and pools start popping up. Monero mining software should work, it just depends how many changes were made by the Monero dev that was hired by ETN. The devs are promoting CPU mining, but GPU mining Im sure will happen. At launch a CPU miner for Mac, Windows, and Linux will be released by the Electronem devs for everyone. |

For example, the scam art link made me remember ARTE as it will soon go live with a whopping number of low-price coins. I invested in ETN with 30% bonus, I put about 1000$ and get 85k ETN
It mean I pay 0.011$ per ETN.
So now I'm trying to estimate the price of ETN the 1st november.
The marketcap was stopped at 40m$ for 24 000 000 000 ETN...
but currently we don't know how many ETN has been selled during the ICO?

Total coins to be mined over the many years is 21 Billion, not 24 Billion The total # of coins sold in the ICO is 4.4 Billion. Ok it means that we currently lost about 10% cause we bought the coin at 0.01$ and : 40 000 000(marketcap)/ 44 000 000 000(supply) = 0.009090 $ Why did you stop the sell at 40m dollars ......................... ? I get where you are going with this, but supply and demand have to be added into the equation, as they pull the biggest weight. How many people will sell, and how many people will buy? This is what will give us the price. It is incorrect to say that we "lost" anything per se. I would also point out that the scam exchange, etherdelta, had fake eth/etn pairs yesterday, and they went from $.02 to $.21 in about 5 hours, selling 4 million fake ETN. Its a shame those people got scammed, but 21 cents in HOURS is impressive, especially considering that the majority of buyers would have known that ETN doesnt go live until Nov 1st. So with a fraction of the total demand, we went up 20x from ICO price in HOURS. I'm pretty sure there will be a Hype right from the start. Probably ETN will be going to 0.05$ or even 0.1$ in just a few days. I also see the ads everywhere.
Though i think after some days it will go down to 0.01$ or even lower, as long as there are no good news again.

Careful, you are putting yourself in danger to be scammed. Remember, the blockchain doesnt even go live until Nov 1st, so anyone saying they can send you the coins before then are not telling the truth. If you insist, please at least use escrow. Still, although this protects your investment money, it doesnt protect your investment because the seller can back out of the deal if the value goes up, and go through with the deal if the value goes down. This puts you at a huge disadvantage! Remember 9 out of 10 responses to your offer will be scam attempts. It is best to wait for the exchange and pay close attention when it goes live, and be there ready. |
