1343  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Why doesn't the FASTEST computer always win (i.e., discover the new block)? on: February 21, 2014, 03:25:35 AM
because in mining, solving a block is random. a 2x faster miner will solve blocks in half the time on average. therefore it's possible for even the slowest miners to have a chance at a block.

Thanks for the info, I am looking forward for it.

Anyway, still looking for the compressed file.  Cry
you're likely not going to save much bandwidth by compressing it. I did a quick test with lmza2 and the compression ratio was only 67%
1346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Where to find a bootstrap.dat.gz to speedup newmachines sync? on: February 15, 2014, 09:58:46 PM

1357  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-02-01] KculShare.com - Bitcoin’s Emerging Price Stability on: February 02, 2014, 12:42:54 AM
kculshare looks like a parasite to me. Not producing any text, but copying it and receiving ad-money.

Any comment AnhBen?
he's affiliated with the site. no surprise there

if there's an agreement with coindesk and techcrunch etc. I'm sorry for my comment.
no I meant the forum poster was affiliated with the site, so it's unlikely that you'll get a straight answer from him.

sorry for any confusion  Embarrassed
