1341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 04, 2022, 06:39:46 AM
USA played really good against Netherlands, but the European team is more experienced and managed to find the gaps in the US defense.
Van Gaal knows how to win such matches. What surprises me is how Netherlands plays in defense. The entire team is aligned perfectly and every player is helping his teammates. Argentina will be facing difficulties, if van Gaal finds a way to neutralize Leo Messi.
I didn't watch Argentina-Australia and I probably haven't missed anything. Grin  Most of the matches in the round of 16 are going to be boring and the favorites are going to win.
1342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2022 Group Stage Highlights on: December 02, 2022, 11:38:48 AM
Embarrassing game for Spain against Japan. Rumors say that the Spanish team lost deliberately, so that they could finish at the second place in their group and face Morocco at the round of 16. Shame on them. I really hope that Spain will be kicked out of the tournament at the quarterfinals. Croatia vs. Japan would be interesting, but I bet that the Croatian team would reach the quarterfinals.
Germany deserved to leave the tournament at the group stage. The German team is missing some key elements, in order to be competitive against France and Brazil, who are the big favorites for winning the World Cup.
1343  Economy / Speculation / Re: December Has always Proved to Be a Good Month For Cryptocurrency industry on: December 02, 2022, 07:01:02 AM
I know I am not pro or old here but I know little bit. I was saying that Bitcoin is just had always proven good start in December month and in first Quarter of New year and If history repeats than this will also be like God start of crypto Rally and I hope in this timeframe btc might go Upto 36k dollars before May crash.
We know that we cannot speculate Bitcoin price But I can say that as history repeats we can get chance and also a better judgement and it can be very risky.
That's Why Do your own research before putting money.

The Bitcoin price won't hit 36K USD just because you want this to happen. The crypto winter is here to stay and the investors aren't very positive about an upcoming bull wave in the Bitcoin market. There's no force that could possibly create a FOMO phase right now.
Statistically some months are "good" and other months are "bad" for Bitcoin, but the market is extremely bearish right now and the FUD news are coming from everywhere. Do you really think that the "average Joe" is going to invest his money into Bitcoin, when he reads all those news about crypto bans, crypto price crashing, crypto companies going bankrupt and scamming their investors? I don't think so.
1344  Economy / Gambling / Re: Consider open live casino (street gambling games) on: December 01, 2022, 12:27:56 PM
Recording live video streams of random people playing gambling games on the streets?
1.Gambling is forbidden in many countries, regions and cities around the world. I guess that you would be recording the live streams in an area where gambling is allowed. Am I right?
2.Shooting videos of people without their permission could create some legal problems. I don't really think that many people would be comfortable playing gambling games in front of a camera.
3.This business cannot be called a "live casino" because this is NOT a casino. It's just live video streaming of random people, who are gambling.
1345  Economy / Economics / Re: EU Moving to Ban Privacy Coins: Report on: December 01, 2022, 07:52:28 AM
The European clerks are doing something in order to justify their salaries and their pointless jobs. Grin
It's funny how those news about banning something related to crypto happen always, when there is a price crash, bear market, big crypto company scamming their investors, bankrupts, etc. You won't read such crypto news, when the crypto market is bullish and the investors are making money. The Privacy coins might be banned from crypto exchanges, but this won't stop the regular crypto users to use them.
I don't know how the authorities would be able to track the transactions of a privacy coin and catch the people, who are transacting.
1346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's freedom is Absolute! on: December 01, 2022, 07:15:59 AM
Quote
If I decide to live a private life that no one knows how much I own, that is great and it is called freedom
If I decide to do KYC on all the exchanges and gambling sites, that is freedom
If I decide to leave my coins on exchanges, that is my choice, and it is called freedom
If I decide to share my private key with everyone I know, that is freedom
If I decide to use and reuse one particular address for all my transactions, that is freedom

My point is, no one should detect for anyone how to enjoy the freedom. You can only advice or teach, stop seeing people using exchanges or doing kyc as anti bitcoin

No. It isn't called freedom. It's called responsibility(freedom and responsibility can be viewed as one thing, but being irresponsible has little to do with freedom). Every person is responsible for his/her own financial situation. The people are responsible for their own financial mistakes, but sometimes they simply get manipulated and lied to. In that case, the scammers take the responsibility.
I don't think that using crypto exchanges and doing KYC is anti-Bitcoin. KYC is required by the law and the people are complying to the rules.
Trusting a third party with your coins/money is definitely anti-Bitcoin, because the whole concept of Bitcoin is to NEVER trust or rely on a third party. Be your own bank. Satoshi never told us to trust custodial centralized crypto exchanges.

1347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 30, 2022, 11:48:27 AM
The first matches at the round of 16 are going to be Netherlands-USA and England-Senegal. I can say with great confidence that Netherlands and England are going to make it to the quarterfinals. Both USA and Senegal have good teams, but they can't compete with Netherlands and England. The orange team doesn't impress, but they play really pragmatic and effective football. The English team has lots of good players, who can make a difference in every match.
Saudi Arabia winning against Mexico and joining the round of 16 would be a surprise to me. Australia-Denmark is a really tough game to predict. France would probably start with more of their reserve players against Tunisia. I won't be surprised if this game ends in a draw.
1348  Economy / Economics / Re: Is a ban on Retirees Cypto Account a fair deal? on: November 30, 2022, 07:42:05 AM
This is the perfect example of people being conformists and following trends.
When the Bitcoin/crypto prices are going up-Bitcoin/crypto is good. When the crypto prices are falling down-Bitcoin/crypto becomes bad.
We all know that cryptocurrencies are highly volatile risky assets, but investment plans like IRA could simply invest a small percentage of their portfolios  in crypto to lower the risk. Diversification exists for decades and this woman doesn't know anything about it.
It's like the big tech stocks dropping down by 90% and people wanting to ban investment funds from buying stocks of the big tech companies.
Why nobody wants to ban the investors from buying Meta stocks or Tesla stocks? When there's a bear market, crypto gets all the FUD and all the hate. The big tech corporations don't get nearly as much hate and FUD as crypto.
1349  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is Satoshi a Russian? on: November 30, 2022, 07:01:47 AM
Do you really think that Satoshi's nationality is that important? Would it make a difference, if he was really a Russian?
Is Satoshi Nakamoto one person? What if he is a team of developers?
The Russian Local board is quite active and there are many crypto companies founded in Russia, even though the Russian government isn't crypto-friendly at all. However, that doesn't mean anything.
Even if Satoshi was a Russian, there's no way to prove this theory. I don't think that he is Russian, because his English was pretty good.
1350  Economy / Economics / Re: Tesla stock analysts debate future equity values on rate hikes on: November 29, 2022, 12:12:17 PM
The Tesla EVs are expensive. The upcoming US(and global) recession will force many car buyers to change their minds a choose a cheaper new car(or a second hand car) instead of an expensive EV.
Tesla is profitable only because of the carbon credits they sell. Maybe their EV business is going to crash so badly, that the revenue coming from selling carbon credits won't be enough to cover the losses. Raw materials like Lithium are about to become more expensive, which means higher priced Li-Ion batteries and higher production costs.
2023 is going to be completely different than 2020. The bears are going to dominate the stock markets and the shorters are about to make profits.
1351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is The Gambling Industry Part Of The Domino Effect That Happens In The Market on: November 29, 2022, 06:58:57 AM
Quote
- Do you think The Gambling Industry Is Part Of The Domino Effect That Happens In The Market?

No. It's obvious that the crypto gambling industry has nothing to do with the crypto winter or crypto exchanges going bankrupt.

Quote
- Will the industry lose the trust of gamblers if one or two casinos scammed their players by closing down and running with what
money they have that belongs to the gamblers?

We have seen multiple cases of casinos scamming their players and/or turning into exit scams. So far, the overall trust in the crypto gambling industry hasn't been damaged that much.

Quote
- As a gambler do you use gambling sites to store your coins like what traders are doing on exchanges?

No. That would be a really dumb thing to do.

Quote
- What would gamblers think if a casino does not agree to show proof of money from new and old casinos

I guess that some of them will become suspicious.
1352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin isn't a religion. on: November 29, 2022, 06:37:46 AM
There are delusional people, who believe that Bitcoin will become the global currency of the future. This doesn't nessecarily mean that they view Bitcoin as religion. I definitely don't see Bitcoin as some religious cult and I don't think that Bitcoin is going to fully replace fiat currencies.
Some people exploited the "cult status" of Bitcoin/crypto by fanatically repeating the good old "crypto good, banks bad" mantra. FTX and Sam Bankman-Fried are the most obvious example. Crypto isn't perfect and the banks are far from being the worst thing in the world.
1353  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency in Central Bank Reserves - DoE, Harvard on: November 28, 2022, 11:47:18 AM
The idea of Bitcoin "hedging geopolitical risks" doesn't seem right to me. Bitcoin mining in concentrated in several countries around the world-USA, Canada, Kazakhstan, etc. Banning mining in those countries could create short term panic across the Bitcoin community(until the hashrate is adjusted). This possesses certain risks of market panic and price crash and/or the blockchain getting stuck for a while.
This definitely doesn't make Bitcoin bulletproof against geopolitical risks.
I don't think that China and Russia are going to use BTC in order to bypass any western sanctions. They would simply use their own national currencies(ruble and yuan) since their goal is to "de-dollarize" the global economy and to increase the value of their own fiat currencies.
Bitcoin/crypto isn't a part of the equation here.
1354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 28, 2022, 07:21:41 AM

Canada scored just two minutes into the match to get off to a terrific start, but they chose to lose steam and defeat Croatia. Before halftime, they were behind 2-1 after a short period.

Morocco showed courage and enthusiasm when they entered the field. They performed as a team and never gave their aged opponent, Belgium, a chance to possess the ball. I sincerely hope that other underperforming teams can learn from the North African powerhouse to have the zeal to win against big teams.

The Qatar 2023 lesson I've learned. No team should be underestimated, regardless of their continent or FIFA rating in the past. Germany was defeated by Japan, Argentina by Saudi Arabia, and now Belgium is defeated by Morocco.

Canada has one great player-Alfonso Davis, a few players with potential and a few mediocre players. I don't think that they "lost steam", they just failed at scoring a second goal, because their counter attacks weren't finished in a proper way. The Croatian team managed to take control over the game(Luca Modric is a really clever player) and the rest was easy. The more experienced team successfully found a way to outsmart the inexperienced team and won the match. Belgium isn't in a good shape, but I think that Croatia-Belgium will end in a draw.
1355  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin worth $1.5B withdrawn from Coinbase in 48 hours on: November 28, 2022, 06:48:47 AM
The entire situation with centralized crypto exchanges can be summarized in one sentence.
"We can't live with them, we can't live without them."
The centralized crypto exchanges are the main way to buy Bitcoin/altcoins for "the average Joe". We can't have a massive crypto bull wave/increase of demand without the crypto exchanges. On the other hand, centralized crypto exchanges are becoming a pain in the ass, with all those horror stories of people getting scammed and losing their life savings. Is mass regulation the solution? Maybe... Maybe not....
A more strict regulation might bring new problems, like reducing the privacy of all users and making the entire crypto industry more dependent of the governments.
1356  Economy / Economics / Re: From Tom Brady to Shaq, FTX’s Celebrity Promoters May Be On the Hook for Damages on: November 27, 2022, 11:11:10 AM
The most important thing is HOW FTX was promoted by those celebrities. As some sort of "magical investment" that guarantees profits or as a normal financial business? In the first case, this can be seen as an misleading advertisement. Misleading the FTX investors and traders with false promises is more than enough for a lawsuit. However, the blame should be put predominantly on the FTX marketing team, not on the celebrities, because they simply got paid to participate in a bunch of commercials. I don't think that Tom Brady or Shaq knew that FTX was actually a big pile of shit before promoting the company.
1357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Qatar World Cup Betting Tips on: November 27, 2022, 07:33:31 AM
You were wrong with Poland-Saudi Arabia (2-0) and France-Denmark(2-1) and right about Argentina-Mexico.  Grin Great success rate.
The rest of your predictions seem too obvious. There's no rocket science in predicting that Netherlands could score a lot against Qatar or that Brazil will win against Switzerland. I don't think that there's any point in making such prediction threads in the forum, but this is a Gambling forum after all and posts about sports betting strategies and tips are welcome. You didn't explain your reasons about making such bets.
Why do you think that a certain game will end above 2,5 goals or below 2,5 goals?
1358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are some government scared of Bitcoin? on: November 27, 2022, 07:04:25 AM

Making Bitcoin a legal tender means when a person goes to purchase a commodity, instead of paying with dollar or whatever currency is being used, they pay with BTC.

Given the unstable nature of cryptocurrencies, and the untraceable nature, would you suggest it wise for countries to adopt Bitcoin as a legal tender?

Recently, El Salvador and Central African Republic announced that they have adopted Bitcoin as a legal tender.

1. No government in the world is "scared" by Bitcoin/crypto. Can you provide any sort of evidence that a government of some country(any country) is scared by crypto?

2.Most of the cryptocurrencies aren't "untraceable". There are privacy coins like Monero and use could use Bitcoin mixers, but those are exceptions, rather than the norm in the cryptocurrency industry.

3.El Salvador and CAR had accepted BTC as legal tender, because they have presidents, who are very pro-Bitcoin, not because there's a major benefit of adopting BTC as a legal tender.
1359  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Profitable and Growing Casino Website for Sale on: November 25, 2022, 11:28:14 AM
The whole idea of making such forum post in Bitcointalk is hilarious. How many forum members are millionaires, who are willing to buy an online casino for 1.5 million dollars? Grin
There is something about this offer which screams scam, but I don't know what is it. What's the point of selling a profitable business?
The seller wants to buy a house. OK, but the casino is profitable enough so that the seller could buy a big and expensive house.
411K USD EBITDA per year isn't that bad. Just run the casino at the same profit levels for 5 years and you will have 2 million dollars.
The sellers wants to build a family business. OK, but the seller could use the profits and invest in his new family business.
The seller doesn't want to run this business by himself. I get it, but can't he simply outsource the tasks and hire some people to run the business for him? 411K USD is a big enough profit, so that the business owner could afford a team of good programmers, marketers and customer support.
1360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A reminder about the media on: November 25, 2022, 06:51:28 AM
The mainstream media would never be favorable towards cryptocurrencies. Way too many banks, investment funds and other fiat financial companies are advertising on the mainstream media. That's why it will always favor the fiat financial system.
I don't bother reading news about crypto on online newsletters or big blogs. The news are either FUD or straight on hating on crypto, mostly because "it's not regulated and there are way too many scams". Even when the ATH was hit on November 2021, most mainstream media was criticizing Bitcoin for being a giant bubble, which is about to burst. That was partially true, most Bitcoin bull markets are basically price bubbles, but there's nothing wrong with that.
